Our stay was pleasant. Could not find a buffet at hotel so we went some where else.

Great stay at the Tropicana. Loved the Mob experience. Location was great. Room was very clean. Definitely would recommend to friends & family.

Great place to stay for a long weekend. They did a nice job on the renovation. Got an awesome deal and they have a very reasonable resort fee. The pool was the perfect place to relax and have some drinks. Within walking distance to everything, just to the tram to mandalay bay and then another to north strip. Our key stopped working but security only took a couple of minutes to come open the door for us. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

I used to say here years ago but the quality had gone way done in recent years. Found a great deal and decided to give it another try and boy has it improved. It's not the glitzy or glamorous of hotels but it was relaxing while still having that vegas vibe. I definitely would stay here again. the Casino was bright and clean, and the rooms well kept and above average.

very clean room. quiet. nice tv. no coffee pot in room(i understand they do it to get you down to the casino). lumpy beds. The Beach Cafe at the Tropicana was excellent and catered a lovely dinner for 24.

Hotel did a great job on the remodel.

We chose the Tropicana based on price and rating by other Expedia users. This hotel is recently renovated, so the rooms were really nice. We could not get a king room with the view that we wanted, so we took a room with two queen beds and a view. Not a big inconvenience. Hotel staff was pleasant, not intrusive. A maintenance request was filled the same day. In room safe, a nice feature. This is one of the original hotels, so it does not have all the fancy amenities that some of the others do. It is dwarfed by the MGM next door. The shopping area has a distinct "airport shops" feel to it. The gaming floor is probably 1/10 the size of the floor in some of the other hotels. It is located toward the south end of the Strip, so plan on walking or riding to most of the other features on the strip. The Beach Cafe offers reasonably priced meals and the Marketplace is a carryout type shop that we used often. There are also two upscale restaurants in the building. Nice outdoor pool. Stay here for a reasonable rate and go visit the Veneitan or Bellagio for their expensive interiors.

Great location at south end of the strip. Although not perhaps as grand, exuberant and unique as the other well documented hotels on the strip, we were glad we chose the Tropicana in relation to all of the other hotels we walked around during our stay. The Tropicana is light and airy and has a really relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We didn't feel that hotels such as the MGM Grand, Excalibur and Mandalay Bay had the same vibe. Would highly recommend the Beach Cafe where we had excellent lunch and dinners.

It was really fun staying there. Some of the staff was very nice, however, When we asked for towels and called down the woman said they would be there in the next half hour to an hour. and we had reservations. When I asked her if I could just run down and get them she told me no. Every time I stay somewhere they are either very speedy about it or will have them at the front desk to grab. The waitress at the pool did not help us at all. I do not know if is because we were female or what, but they never assisted us at all and even completely ignored other female customers. Our hotel room was wonderful and the price was definitely accommodating. There was a big stain in our room as well though so it wasn't the cleaniest, but still nice. Overall we had a fun time. It was good.

The newly remodeled casino area was very nice. The room was o.k. After long days of a lot of walking, the room was so far away from the parking lot. It was exhausting just to get to the room. When checking in the girl behind the desk had an awful attitude, not welcoming at all. Not a good first impression. Overall, good stay. Very quiet and very comfortable bed.

Loved the days i spent at the Tropicana... The new rooms are amazing, the services amazing. Wish I did not have to pay an extra $20.00 to check in early when there was tons of rooms and the room service is very expensive $35.00 for french toast... Other that that great hotel, limited food options but still worth it. Best stay I have had at NAB week in the last 3 years.

We liked this hotel - clean and quiet. The steakhouse restaurant was very good. The casino had a fun selection of machines. The only negative is that it is about a mile from the center of the strip if planning to see a show in that area.

I have stayed a my fair share of “recently renovated” hotels in Vegas, including the Riviera, the Imperial Palace, and the Sahara; all of which use the word “remodeled” as a gimmick to let you know that they shampooed their carpets, changed the color of their sheets and threw some air freshener in their casinos. Therefore, when I booked my stay at the Tropicana via Hotels.com, I expected the Tropicana to have done the same. Boy, was I wrong! Not only was the service deserving of a five star hotel—you know the kind that can even make you uncomfortable for being so attentive but deep down you love the pampering offered to you—but they indeed meant “renovated”. Despite my raggedy look (I drove from San Diego in raggedy jean shorts and a not very flattering tan-top) I was very attentively received by the valet, the bell desk and the check in desk. And, and! I was allowed to check in early! The white floors, clean carpeting, and non-smoky air made me want to play in the casino—a lot (someone has to commend the great s air suction system in the building)! My room had a very comfortable bed, plantation shutters, and an air conditioner that I did not hear nor did I have to fiddle with: my room was at the perfect temperature from the moment I checked in to the minute I checked out. I had a view of the airport, but who cares, right? You don’t go to Vegas for the view. And, despite the hotel’s proximity to the airport, the windows do indeed shield you from any noise that maybe coming from the arriving and departing airplanes. The water in the newly renovated pool was delicious—not too cold, not too warm—just perfect for the desert weather. One of their Jacuzzis was out of service, but the one working was relaxing and not too hot, I hate it when the water is too hot to even get in. The Tropicana is not your grandparents’ hotel any longer. It is Schick, clean, and given enough time I bet it will be trendy. Mind you, I don’t go to Vegas that often, maybe twice a year, three

quite fresh and modern, with lots of restos and amenities... some stuff quite far to walk to.... room was nice, but not as amazing as i had hoped. i hear that some are fully renovated, others only partially. enjoyed the extended late check out. pool area was awesome. 24 hour hot tubs a plus. beds and sheets super comfy! price affordable for the value. not a huge fan of the pole dancer in the casino... quite sketchy and trashy... but all together- a great stay. would go back.

Wonderful service, beautifully kept hotel........Spotlessly maintained. Wonderful to see such pride. Two things..............tub surrounding tile was coming off wall which we reported at the front desk out of consideration for them. On our last nite we did not sleep a wink because of a party going on in the next room. It was relentlously rowdy. We didn't realize that we should have called security until we reported it the next morning.......So unfortunate to leave on that note...........We are informed as to prodical for next time........Yes we would highly recommend it to our friends. We both work in hospitals so many many will know how well maintained and how highly noted the service was. We will both no doubt be delighted to stay there on our next visit. We hope to make it every few months from here on in. The other factor to note was the grounds were spectacular. It was like being in Hawaii but better. Thanks again for the stay.........It was exactly what we needed...........

The hotel looks great in it's new clothes! The pool area is gorgeous. The only minor complaint is the noisy bathroom fan.

we enjoyed our stay at the tropicana, Staff was friendlly and helpfull and we would stay there again. The pool was lovely but the music for our ears too loud and always the same kind.

Had a great stay here, hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size and we had a fantastic view of Excalibur and Luxor from our room. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to do Vegas on a budget and not notice you are !! Fantastic swimming pool and gardens in the middle of the hotel !!

The Hotel is at best average. I'm glad we booked only for one night and moved to different hotel for the 2nd night.

The hotel was great! It's in a great location near the end of the strip but still not too far out. Right next to MGM, Excalibur, Coca Cola, M & M's, great restaurants, entertainment, etc. Great value for the price. Don't forget that you will be charged a resort fee there which includes your internet access. Pool is large. Rooms clean. You may have a bit of a walk to your room but we didn't mind.

We liked that the Tropicana was cleaner smelling than the surrounding New York, NY and the MGM which kiddy corner the hotel on the strip. Also, Tropicana is quieter and has a nice pool. Too eat or party, go next door then cross the street to come home. One complaint: The room service was always slow and late and one day of five our room was not made up at all. Talk to "Sarah" at front desk if possible, she's very nice and we got a slight room upgrade for just asking

Totally renovated and refreshingly bright. Most casinos in this price range are dark and lifeless, Tropicana is the complete opposite with bright yellows and creams and a casino floor where you can tell if it is day or night outside! The rooms were very spacious, totally renovated, and at the price a realistic option for families or those not wanting to spend $200+ a night. Very comfortable beds and an above average bathroom, adds to this being a serious hotel pick on the Strip. Added things like a room safe, massive HD TV, IPod dock and plenty of cupboard and drawer space again add to this being a safe pick. The only criticism was breakfast facilities, both mornings the wait was 40 minutes plus and that was at 9am, although there are 2 Starbucks where you can grab something if you are happy to. The bar was great and the cover band playing on Thursday night was one of the best I have seen. Overall a very good, renovated, clean hotel with a fantastic pool setting (when finished). I would stay here again if I went back to Vegas for sure.

From the check-in to the check-out. Great place. Spa was great. Doug at reception went beyond the call of duty to get me checked in and helped with the late check out. Beach cafe service and quality was great. Location and easy access to the tram was also much appreciated.

What can you say when you get 10 days of sunshine and the great pool area, casino has been redone, rooms not so much; but the service from everyone there was incredible; would I go back and send my friends and family? MOST DEFINATELY!!!

This old hotel is reborn and amazing. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. We felt pampered and enjoyed the new atmosphere immensely. It is a truly beautiful hotel with beautiful people making sure everything is taken care of. The pit bosses and dealers are friendly and reminiscent of table games staff of the early 1980's. Service is back in Las Vegas and it lives at Tropicana.

They appreciate the locals.. complimentary upgrade to penthouse suite. Thank you New Tropicana! Don't forgot to stop next door for $1 beers 24/7.

There was a long line to check in. I was there on the country music awards night, so every hotel should have staffed up to process the folks checking in. The dealers were angry and the cocktail waitress was not nice. Not sure why they hire angry people to do customer service type of jobs. The hotel was remodeled since I was there last and it is nice... very tropical design with wicker type of turniture and palms trees, so that was cute. Beds were comfortabel and clean... but I believe the rooms were a bit overpriced compared to there hotels.
