The Modern Hotel - باريس

The room is old style and small . The cabinet was broken and without drawer. It just keep a strange empty big hole in the cabinet. I wake up at 3:00 am because of noise outside. Some guests may check out at that time and the luggage made a lot of noise because of the thin floor. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything going on in the surrounding rooms. So I cannot sleep well over there.

This hotel is pretty cheap and in a good spot.Metro is good and there are 5 bus lines near.The stuff is supportive but the hoterl is old and the floor is covered and it is squeky.If you want to stay for a couple of nights or you need a cheap place it is ideal.

We chose this hotel based on reviews of other customers on this site and a few others. Not sure what the others found good about this hotel as our stay was not enjoyable. The rooms are so small you can barely get into bed. The shower again, extremely small and we are not large people. Couldn't even turn around in it. The elevator, same thing. The breakfast consisted of hard zweibeck toast, jelly, plain yogurt and coffee. Not even a piece of fruit. Even a croissant, jelly, fruit and coffee would have been sufficient. We did not eat here either day. The only plus is that there are many cafes/pubs/stores close by. I would not stay here again.

I went with my boyfriend for a short getaway and we particularly loved the location of the hotel, with Montmarte on your doorstep, 2 metros within a few minutes walk and the Moulin Rouge, lots of restaurants and the Sacre Coeur also nearby. I was very happy with the hotel for the small price I paid. Breakfast was basic but fine - fresh bread, croissiants, jam, yoghurt, coffee, orange juice etc. The room itself was fine - wasn't very big but it was fine for us personally. It was clean and had a TV but the only faults it had was the shower head bracket was broken so we had to hold the shower head (although you had the option of having a bath) and one of the lights in the bathroom was faulty. But as we are not fussy people it didn't bother us, just something that could be improved. All in all it was a great hotel and I would use it again. The staff also seemed nice and let us keep our luggage at the hotel for the day after we checked out.

This hotel is decent if you need a cheap place to stay. It is close to a metro stop as well. However, it is not the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The carpet seemed to be in pretty bad shape and the floors were uneven and made a lot of noise. Also, the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything going on in the surrounding rooms. From conversations to other stuff you do not want to be hearing. I would not recommend this hotel. There are much better places to stay in Paris.

This hotel was a bit difficult to find, but once we got there, it was very convenient! My mom and I stayed here over Christmas and we thought everything was great. It's a typical little French hotel, so don't expect big bathrooms and big rooms. They had free WiFi with the strongest signal in the lobby. Also, breakfast was included which was a great deal! I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is somewhat old and run down. The room was very small, which was expected. The floors were very creaky and you could hear people walking around in the hall and neighboring rooms. The internet did not work in our room so we had to go down to the lobby to use it. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was not very substantial. Each person gets 1 croissant, a small part of a baguette, and coffee/tea/orange juice. There is a metro stop very close by so getting around the city is not a problem.

The location was very good, near metro and plenty bus service however the accommodation was very disappointing with damp in room, undecorated walls and very poor toilet shower facilities. The lift only holds one person and suitcase and the staircase seems to be on a slope. Breakfast was satisfactory but breakfast area far too small in relation to the amount of rooms in hotel.

This hotel is located in the beautiful Montmarte area of Paris overlooking the city--Sacre Choeur a short walk away with beautiful views. The hotel is just steps from the Place de Clicey subway station and the sites of Paris Central are just 15 minutes away. This was a great price for a room and breakfast. The continental style breakfast included great cafe olait, croissants, yogurt and juice. The room was large, but the bathroom was very small but had new shower, toilet and sink. The bed was comfortable, the bedspread and carpet worn, but clean. It can be noisy on the outside street, but we were in our room only to sleep and it was just fine!

This is a very small hotel with quite good location. Price is reasonable, so don't expect too much. I had a room for one, so it was really small and you can imagine it's location as the number was room nr 1, so in the basement with bars in it's windows.... Carpet not clean, but towels yes. Like someone other said too the soundproof was poor. And with the breakfast one can't survive too far. Customer service was variable as there were at least five different persons during few days. Almost everyone talked at least a bit english, but were not so kind.

Key word are ..Staff very good...Close by to Metro also plus point...

The hotel was clean & tidy. Close to some good attractions. The only problem was they tried to charge us for use of the phone in the room which we never used on checking out.

Basically this hotel is great as long as you are not looking for a luxurious vacation spot. The room was clean, there was a little elevator, the stairs were very Parisian. I had my own bathroom, even if it was incredibly small. There was free wifi and breakfast was included. I could not ask for anything more.

We stayed only 4 nights in Paris and stayed at The Modern Hotle. It was a basic but clean hotel and would stay again. we stayed on the 5 floor which did help reduce the noise. As it a liverly part of Paris,

The only thing that stood out about the hotel was Lisa at the front desk. She went above and beyond helping me with directions and things to do. She should really be commended!

The hotel was a great deal for us. The metro system is only a block away. Close to the Moulin Rouge, lots of restaurants and quick food. Only complaint is the noise and lights from surrounding buildings - no A/C and we were there in the middle of August so we kept the windows open at night and the noise/lights made it a bit difficult to sleep through the night. The staff was very friendly and helpful though.

Close to two metros that get you everywhere. Decent Wifi. Lots of surrounding markets and pubs. When I return to Paris, this is where I will book my entire stay.

Friendly staff, very helpful with directions to places of interest . We felt relaxed and secure here. Breakfast, included in the price, was absolutely fine and served with a smile. Walls a bit thin, could be a bit noisy at night but, overall, good value.

The service of the staff at the reception is totally terrible.On the time we check in, he just pass us a form to fill and walk away from the counter keep chatting with his friend. Worse thing is he told us that the lift is not working, and our room is on 4th floor, he got no intention at all to help us to carry our bulky luggage . Even when we ask if any staff in the hotel can help us with the luggage, he just say no without trying to call out someone to help. Wifi connection is only available at lobby area, not our room! The room is not in good condition as well.The breakfast claim to be serve on 7a.m, but in fact they not ready yet on 7.30am. In conclusion, do not stay at this hotel unless you want to spoil your holiday.

Small, older hotel with ensuite bathroom. The bathroom is very small but functional. The linens are crisp clean, Lisa at the front desk is an angel, and it is only one block from the Metro. They also serve a Continental breakfast every morning. Restaurants, pharmacies, shops are all within walking distance. The phone in our room wasn't working, so the night man came up to our room and banged on the door for our wake-up call on the day we left! I have no complaints. It's Paris after all!

The staff were very nice, but the bed sheets and covers need changed,,,, very old and torn. Breakfast was just croisants so not much choice. It ok for the price

Very nice small hotel in Montmartre. Short walk to top of the hill and beautiful hill. Clean hotel, nice continental breakfast. No complaints!

We were told there was shuttle pick up/drop off from the airport and upon arriving at Charles de Gaule airport, we phoned the hotel and were told there was no pick up and therefore had to take a taxi or metro to get there. While that was inconvenient, our room and bathroom were however perfect for our stay and a shuttle for a surcharge was arranged to drop us off for our departure from Orly airport. For us, the Modern Hotel really was accomodating at the front desk - everyone was very friendly especially Lisa who booked us a beautiful last minute dinner at the Eiffel tower on Friday night with a cruise down the Seine afterwards!!! MERCI BEAUCOUP LISA!!!!! And to Thomas and Eduard and everyone else! Also, the location was extraordinary - directly between Montmartre and so close to Clichy Metro that it was very easy to commute throughout Paris!!!

I almost DON'T want to tell people of this gem in PAris. Conveniently located and very well priced through Hotels.com

there were cigarette burns on the bedding and the faces on the drawers of both of the dressers were broken. very unclean.

Modern hotel is what we expected for the money we gave. But it was really comfortable the stuff was really friendly and the location is perfect!. I would definately recommend it to everyone. If you are a perfectionist give 500 per night and go to Hilton!!!

Location great, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Hotel clean. Very basic. Rooms don't even have a hairdryer. Bathroom didn't have a bath only a shower and ridiculously small - I'm a size 8 and struggled to fit through the shower doors and getting changed in bathroom is almost impossible due to the size, I was constantly banging my arms against the walls. Breakfast very poor - no cereal, only thing provided to put on croissants/bread is jam, no cheese/meat, no water only orange juice. Service is not exactly with a smile either! One day me and my friend were sat there at 10.10 (they finish serving at 10) and were told to leave! Also they have a deal going with a taxi company to take guests to the airport for 17 Euros per person. We asked to book this for 5pm but they could only do 4.50pm which we thought was strange for a taxi company. We later found out that it was a shuttle service and after me and my friend getting lost in Paris and arriving 6 minutes late we assumed our 'taxi' would be waiting for us, only to be yelled at by the owner and told it is a shuttle that can't wait for anyone. This was not explained to us. The manager (the yeller!) did not try to help us to find an alternative way of getting to the airport. Very unhelpful. Only stay at this hotel if money is tight, very tight.

An enjoyable stay, would recommend taking the bus from the airport (if you arrive from Charles De Gaulle that is) that stops off at l'opera tube station, as it was a 45 euro ride in a Parisian taxi! The hotel itself on Rue Forest was in a very good location with good local shops and bars, a cinema, fast food restaurants and restaurants for those looking for finer dining. Walking distance for the montmartre cemetery, and a short walk to the nearest tube station (Place de clichy) where I recommend purchasing a Paris visite tube station ticket for 3 or 5 days or more to last your trip. Breakfast was provided from 7:30 am until 10:30 am and check-in was at 2pm and not 1pm as suggested. The room itself was very accomodating with a double bed, en-suite shower facilities and a wardrobe and desk space. A television (with all French channels and no English subtitlies - although you're in Paris, so who needs the T.V?!) The room was cleaned, with the bed laid after you've handed in your keys before you leave to start your days of travel. The hotel staff were friendly and knew the area well, with a pleasant "Bonsoir" every evening when I returned from my days out and a good opportunity to practice whatever French you may know yourself! Overall, a pleasant stay and for the price I would certainly return!!

Very friendly and helpful staff, who let us keep our suitcases behind the desk for the day. The breakfast was also great! There's an elevator, which is great, and while it's nothing fancy, it's a great budget place to stay in a pretty central location.

it was fine, could get more food for breakfast though!only get rolls and crossonts and coffee, would like ham and cheese and cornflakes etc.

Hotel is located very close to two metro stations which was great for getting around the city. I stayed in a single room which had a single bed and private bathroom. Room decent size and comfortable, bathroom was VERY small but sufficient. Breakfast was a good way to start day, it incl. coffee,tea,juice,croissants,baguetts,yogurt etc. Hotel is clean, nicely painted etc. The only issue I had with my stay was that the walls seemed paper thin. I could hear people coming in and out in the morning and late at night and could hear plumbing etc which did all wake me up on several occasions. Overall I was pretty happy with my stay at the hotel.

We took a cab to this hotel and even the cab driver didn't know where it was. It was hidden in a corner on a tiny street. The room we got was 507 on the top floor. the lift was so tiny one person and their bags could barely fit. The room was slanted, there were no electrical outlets, no A/C, shower door was broken, tv was tiny, could here anything the neighbors were doing though the thin walls, and the lights were nor properly mounted on the wall. Had a memory foam bed that was very stiff. The only thing that made this an ok location was the chicken restraunt next door. I would not advise staying at this hotel for more than one night and only if it were a last resort.

Sympathique, manque le Wifi dans les chambres de l'hotel, cela serait meilleurs avec.

Hotelli oli sijainniltaan hyvä mutta tasoltaan vastasi yhtä tähteä. Huone pieni, kulunut ja tunkkainen. Äänieristys heikko. Kylppäri/wc ei lämmitystä. Aamiainen basic.

Det kan godt være det er billigt, men det er stadigvæk ikke pengene værd. Intet wifi eller balkon til trods for at det står i hotelinfo'en. Receptionisten havde ikke tid da vi ankom, han snakkede i telefon. Beliggenheden fejler ikke noget, meget centralt ca. 100 m. fra metro. Den daglige rengøring består i at sengen bliver redt ? Morgenmad: 1 crossiant og et stk. flute, køb selv lidt pålæg da der kun er marmelade.

Hotel idealement placé pour Moulin rouge et Montmartre Chambre correct et confortable pour un séjour court Bonne literie,propre Petit dejeuner correct

Billigt hotel beliggende i gå-afstand fra bl.a. Sacre Coeur og Moulin Rouge. Omkring hotellet ligger mange spisesteder. Hotellet er af ældre dato, men har man blot brug for et sted at overnatte, er det perfekt. Der er kun ros til personalet.

Billigt o prisvärt inkl. fransk frukost. Lyhört o gamla heltäckningsmattor i rummen men fungerar om man inte har för stora krav.

Selve området er super hyggeligt med mange gode restauranter og caféer og så er det nemt at komme til og fra. Selve hotellet var virkelig slidt. Gulvet i værelset var skævt, der var skimmelsvamp, rust og klan kloaklugt i badeværelset. To ud af tre elpærer var sprunget men på trods af 4 dage og tre gange rengøring blev det ikke fixet. Personalet var dog venlige. Et område men ikke et hotel vi vender tilbage til

Tout à fait correct pour le prix. Seul le petit déjeuner est un peu cheap, mais conforme au prix facturé (5 €).

Hotel senza pretese, camera piccolissima,buia,con pochi servizi.In compenso buona posizione per metro.
