نظيف,هادئ,تكلفة معقولة,بالتأكيد ساعود وساوصي به الاصدقاء...لم نستخدم المسبح والساونا لانه فصل الشتاء,لكن احببت المكان.مشكلة صغيرةواحدة,حجزنا سرير مزدوج لكن حصلنا على سريرين فرديين

فندق صغير راق وموقع مدهش.على مسافة قريبة من منطقة الجامعة,Passeig de Graciaكذلك Plaza Catalunyaو منRambla.خيارات ممتازة من المطاعم على بعد ثلاث احياء وصولا الى المترو الذي سياخذك الى وجهات عديدة مثل Park Guellاو الى Plaza Espanya لاستقلال القطار الى المدن القريبة مثل Montserrat.كان الموظفون ودودين ومهذبين وكانت الغرفة نظيفة ومريحة,على الرغم من وجود بعض علامات التعب.تم تجهيز الفندق بمطعم,مسبح كذلك حوض استحمام ساخن.وصلت رحلة الطيران مبكرا و وسمح لنا موظفي الاستقبال من دخول الغرف قبل الموعد الرسمي في ال 3 مساء.بالاضافة الى ذلك,تم السماح لنا بترك امتعتنا بعد عملية الخروج,بما ان الطائرة لن تقلع حتى وقت متاخر في الليل.كانت القضية الكبرى بالواقع مصدر القلق الصغير--كانت بعض المفاتيح في لوحة المفاتيح على جهاز الحاسوب الخاص بالضيوف في البهو عالقة.عموما اود بشدة ان اوصي الاصدقاء والعائلة بهذا الفندق,واود بالتاكيد المكوث فيه مرة اخرى

كنا سعداء باقامتنا القصيرة في هذا الفندق.كان افضل مما كنا نأمل و نحن نيقين قليلا.كانت وسائل الراحة مماثلة لتلك في الفنادق الاكثر فخامة و الموقع ممتاز,خاصة اذا كنت من محبي Gaudi.تبعد La Pedreraحوالي 4دقائق سيرا.اذا كنت تحب المطاعم,ستحب هذا الفندق.انطلق كل ليلة سيرا باتجاه مختلف ودائما ستجد شيئا جيدا من كل الاسعار.كان الموظفون متعاونين و لطفاء.عملية مدارة بشكل جيد.تشمل وجبة الافطار.كان هناك العديد من الفواكه الطازجة ومجموعة متنوعة من الخبز.وكما هو الحال في العديد من الفنادق من هذا النوع,تسود المجموعة اللحوم الباردة القارية و الاجبان لا يوجد افطار ساخن و بيض.كان هناك مجموعة جيدة من الحبوب ومتنوعة من الكعك و المعجنات للضيوف.لا تخاف من الجوع!هناك حديقة صغيرة جميلة في الخلف مع مسبح صغير اذا كنت تريد السباحة و سرير مريح تحت الشمس لراحة اطرافك خاصة بعد يوم من رحلة استكشافية.هناك هاتف يمكنك استخدامه والساقي في الحانة سيكون سعيد باحضار الجن و التونك(مشروبات روحية)التي كنت تحلم بها عند انتهاءك من الرحلة الاستكشافية.عندما تتأقلم جيدا,انها منطقة جيدة لانفاق الامول في اكثر محلات الموضة شهرة.هناك ايضا محلات لبيع السلع الجاهزة و الخمور.سنقيم هنا بالتاكيد مرة اخرى.احببناه جدا وسنقيم به مرة اخرى.حقا

ديكور الردهة مثير جدا والموظفون ودودين.كانت الغرفة صغيرة نسبيا مع سريرن مزوجين بجانب بعضهما ولكن هذا له علاقة بالتصميم.الشئ الغريب هو انه لم يكن هناك قفل للحمام و قد صممت هذه الغرفة لشخصين,لذلك مزحنا انه ربما تكون طريقة لاختبار"نظام الشرف"بين الشخصين في الغرفة.بشكل عام كنا سعداء لان النية كانت المكوث في الفندق اقل فترة ممكنة...النوم فقط و كانت الاسرة مريحة خدمت الهدف

فندق بالمس مكان مريح و نظيف للنزول فيه وانت في برشلونة.لديهم خدمة انترنت مجاني في الردهة طوال الوقت-هناك جهاز حاسوب يمكنك استخدامه او يمكنهم اعطاؤك رمز لجهازك المحمول,ولكن فقط في بهو الفندق.المسبح رائع,كما هو الحوض الساخن.على الرغم من ان وضع الاسرة في الغرف غير جيد(3 اسرة ثلاثية او سريرين مزوجين!)كانت مساحة الحمام لائقة و الدش رائع!ماء رائع ودش ساخن معظم الوقت.اكد عامل التنظيف ان الغرف نظيفة جدا,مع ارضية خشبية وبدون سجاد,كانت حقا افضل بكثير من المتوسط من حيث النظافة.لا يوفروا مناشف للمسبح-يتوقعوا منك استخدام مناشف الحمام,لكن مقابل رسوم رمزية سيقدم لك مناشف اضافية

Lots of good restaurants, walking distance to many sights. Really no 'view' out of the upper level rooms. The upgrade to the Executive suite (10 euros per day) was well with the cost. Parking really tough but front staff was helpful. Would stay here again.

At any other time, this is a great hotel for the price. During Mobile World Congress, it was not worth the EUR320/night...though that was half of similar hotels nearby. Balmes is a gem...perfectly located for my needs, very clean, quiet...though occasional hallway noise, and all the staff I encountered were helpful and friendly.

very well-run, modern, great neighborhood. The pool and patio area in the back are lovely. Excellent value for the price.

Excellent for a one night stay,we have used this hotel previously for a longer stay. Very satisfactory.

The hotel advertise the sauna and the hot tub. Both didn't work. We stayed 4 nights and still nothing works. First night I asked some guest that was already at the hotel and he said that the facilities didn't work when he arrived either. Seems like both are being broken for a wile, but all you get for the answer is " we are waiting for repair - this way they'll wait forever. I booked this hotel because they had sauna ( which is actually the steam room, but it doesn't matter since it's not working) and the hot tub, so we could relax there after long walks in Barcelona. I am very disappointed.

Most of the hotel staff were very pleasant, but there were some very notable exceptions. The cleaning staff were great. The restaurant staff could have been a lot more attentive. A couple of the front-desk staff got downright snappy. When I asked for help making a long-distance collect call, one of the staff got very impatient and nasty. The advertising for the internet service was very misleading. "Free Wi-fi" made it sound like access was available 24 hours in the rooms, but actually meant one session of up to ninety minutes or free 24-hour service in the lobby. We would choose a different hotel for our next visit.

clean well situated and friendly hotel

Good value for the money. Impresed with the designers adaptation of an older building and merging it into the new. We moved to a hotel by the beach for a few days and are now moving back to the Balmes.

The hotel provided a clean, secure and comfortable stay. We were close enough for the night life, but far enough that our evenings on our terrace were glorious. The hotel personnel were all a pleasure.

Convenient location.

The hotel made for a great stay and was about 1km+ North of the majority of the tourist spots. If you want to be close but a little bit away from everything, I highly suggest it. I also loved the tapas resteraunt just a few doors east down the street called Catalana!

It was very nice friendly and helpful staff Excellent breakfast offered.Clean and well maintained. For the price could not go wrong.

Everything was wonderful except the parking lot. Very small and unfortunately my car got a scratch that represented me 165 euros for a scratch that I didnt do it, but overall it was pleasant, good price and convenient to move around in downtown Barcelona.

The room was great, fabulous size! The location was wonderful. You can walk to many sites and the hotel is near buses and trains. Lots of boutiques/restaurants around hotel. Front desk generally unfriendly and unhelpful. Your room key lights the whole room except bathroom so when you shut the lights off you need to plug your phone into another socket disconnected from the circuit so it still charges. Lights do work manually above bed without key lighting room. Found this out last night I was there.

nice hotel, the only problem i had was the first room i was given (by the pool) was very noisy and no sounds insulation - i could hear my neighbours too! however once i complained i was quickly moved to a much better room.

The location of the hotel was so so. We had to walk about 15-20 minutes to get to The Placa de Catalunya and Las Ramblas. The hallway where my room was smelled like smoke. Rooms are very small and the windows from my and my friends' rooms faced a brick wall. Staff was nice. Overall, I would say my biggest complaint was the location. We really were not close to any major attractions.

We've made numerous trips to Barcelona and always stay at the Balmes Hotel as it is clean, safe, comfortable and convenient.

Great hotel and staff. Hotel located very close to all attractions if you dont mind walking 15-20 min. Staff was very friendly.

We had booked a standard room. Upon check-in, we were offered a room upgrade at an addition cost. We asked to see both rooms. The standard was extremely small with one small corner window - felt like an inside cabin on an old cruise ship. We took the upgrade. If this was bait and switch, it worked. The property has a very pretty quiet enclosed pool/terrace area.

We were a bit apprehensive about the negative reviews but these all appeared to be unfounded, the executive room was extremely quiet - we were in 618 and the location of the hotel was perfect for sightseeing Barcelona. Had the menu del dia lunch at hotel on last day and this was excellent value at 13.5 euros for 3 courses including bread, bottle of wine between 2 people and water. Would definately stay here again.

They gave me a really rubbish room on a light well. Very noisy from plumbing and door banging and thin walls. Beds too hard Otherwise a very nice lobby. Great neighborhood.

The dinning room was expensive.

Close to great sites in Barcelona. Service at the hotel was great, but our bed wasn't super-comfortable, and the design of our room was odd (split level with a very small bedroom area). All in all a good choice though.

My original room was very small, the bedside lamp was broken and water was leaking from the air-conditioner. The window looked out onto a brick wall and airshaft. I was moved the next day and loved the new location, overlooking the beautiful courtyard and pool. Very comfortable and quiet.

TERRIBLE

I GIVE THIS HOTEL A C BECAUSE THERE WAS NO IRON OR IRON BOARD AVAILABLE. i ALSO RESENTED THE FACT I WAS ONLY ALLOWED ONE HOUR OF INTERNET TIME ON MY LAP TOP N MY ROOM. I AM NOT A CHILD: I AM AN ADULT AND FELT LIKE THE HOTEL TREATED ME LIKE A CHILD. POSSIBLY I WOULD LOOK FOR ANOTHER HOTEL NEXT TIME IF IT'S A 3 STAR THAT IS CLOSE 2 THE METRO AND HAS A 24 HRS STORE NEAR BY.

This is our second stay at the Balmes. The staff was exceptionally helpful. Although we had a nicer room for our first stay, the room was clean and comfortable. The Rambla is a five minute walk. It is also not far from The Plaça de Catalunya. They have a lovely pool area that was very refreshing.

I was very pleased with the Balmes Hotel. The rooms are a bit small, but very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a safe, relatively quiet neighborhood, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. A metro station is nearby and easily walkable. I do recommend bringing earplugs, as the hallways could be a bit noisy at night. I found Balmes' staff to be friendly and accomodating. They gave great recommendations for restaurants and helped out with all of those minor (but important!) questions one has when traveling.

This hotel is close to all of the action without being in the middle of all the noise and hustle bustle of the tourist areas. It was pretty quiet and there are some cafes around the corner as well as a little grocery store. We stayed in an Executive room and it was small but very comfortable and had a huge patio. The room and hotel were very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff spoke some english and were helpful when asking questions. The tv stations are very limited but we didn't spend much time in the room. There is an ATM machine on the other corner. I think this is a perfect place for travelers staying for a few days. If you are only in town for a day or two you may want to stay right on La Rambla. We loved this location and there is also a Metro station up the block.

Very convenience to every where.

A nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff, in a good location for getting around. The only problem was the walls must have been very thin as you could hear next door although they werent particularly noisy, when they flushed the toilet or had a shower it sounded like the water was about to come through.

We stayed for 6 nights in April, 2011. More expensive than a 4 star hotel we stayed in earlier, but was unavailable for the dates we needed. Would not return to this hotel again. And one concierge was ill-tempered-- made us not want to pass by the desk if he was there. The other staff were more amenable.

The hotel was located in a close proximity to most major attractions such as Casa Milla (2 intersections East + 1 block North); Casa Batllo; Placa Catalunia; and many more attractions. There was a very nice and cozzy court yard in the back of the hotel that we discovered on our last day - not that we had any spare time to enjoy it. The staff was really helpful and pleasant. They spoke decent English and were eager to provide us with tips. There are a number of good restaurants on every corner. We dinned at the Taverna Catalunia on Carrer de Valencia near the intersection with Carrer d'Arribau. It was a nice place. They served farm raised, organic. If you like walking, I would advise against Hop On Hop Off busses. Buy a T10 ticket in stead - sold at every metro station and use public transportation if you are too tired. Maps are posted at any bus station with all bus routes.

The location was very convenient, the staff friendly but the room was very dark and smelt of damp/ dirty water. Soundproofing was not great and some floor tiles in the bathroom were coming up. I think I just got a cheap room as I saw the inside of other rooms and they looked light and airy.

The Balmes was a very nice hotel. The room was typical European but still good sized and very clean. The hallway outside was a little loud with other people, but there was no street noise or anything. The courtyard with the pool was very nice, but it was too cold out to use it. We did go in the hot tub. Not as hot as it should have been, but still nice. The location was very good. 10 minute walk to both the Metro stop and the sightseeing bus stops. It was very convenient to take the Metro down to the cruise terminal. There are also a number of good restaurants close by. We we're into the shopping, but there are also a lot of retail shops close, to include the upscale Gucci type stores. They also give you a free pass for your party to the Egyptian museum. It's only a 5-10 min walk, and it's got a lot of cool stuff. It normally cost 11 Euro, so the pass is a good deal. I would recommend the Balmes to anyone going to Barcelona, and would stay there again.

We have stayed at the Balmes several times before and enjoyed each stay. This time we upgraded to one of their apartments, which was really delux.

Nice hotel, got a small room on the 7th floor. The location is perfect, close to the bus lines and Paza Catalunya. The staff was always polite and there was one computer available to check my emails. Close to small cafes and restaurants. I think I got a nice hotel at a very reasonable price. The bathroom was particularly spacious, almost the size of the room.
