Hotel Brunelleschi - ميلا

While the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Duomo, it is in a seedy business area that is creepy at night. There is a strip club directly across the street. When asked for a restaurant rec, they suggested a place 20 minutes away that was 100% tourist (mostly from our hotel, as I realized when I saw everyone again the next morning at breakfast). There is no wi-fi in the room, only an ethernet port (how 1990s). The decor felt very dated. On the other hand, the breakfast was superb, the room was extremely well lit, and the staff friendly.

Very helpful staff, clean room and excellent location.

I have stayed in the Hotel Brunelleschi before and always go back as it is so convenient in terms of location (5 minutes from Piazza Duomo). It is always comfortable with good service and I think it has even had a refurbishment since I was last there. Would go back again

Perfectly located a few blocks from the Duomo. The Hotel Brunelleschi has all the modern conveniences, lovely rooms, full breakfast including cappucinos! Informative and friendly front desk for advice and information. Intimate lobby lounge and bar. It was a great home away from home with convenient location walking distance from all the great cultural sites and shopping in Milan. I will definitely be staying there again.

Great location and a great breakfast by European/Italian standards. The standard room was tight for two people with luggage and if you prefer an upgraded bathroom. The difference between standard rate and superior was minimal compared to the added comfort. All in all, I would recommend it!

The hotel i situated in a silent neighborhood in close distance to the old town and also very close to public transport. The room, left something left to wish. It is however a fair room, but not a 4 star standard.

We just got back from an amazing trip to Italy! This is a hotel with a wonderful location! I'm 35 weeks pregnant and could walk without trouble from this hotel to the Duomo. Perfect! The room was well laid out and decor maybe a little dated but still looked cool. Breakfast was included and was good - plus lots to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Enjoyed staying in this hotel. Very close to Duomo Square, friendly and helpful staff, confortable room with big bathroom, good breakfast.

This hotel was well-located but I was horribly disappointed with the quality of the room. The room might have been a four-star room in 1970 but not now. The lobby is quite fancy, which added to the disappointment with the room. The bed spreads and sheets were like something from my grandparents' house. The wooden panels and general decor was really "dated" in the rooms and had that sort of "musty" feel. No WiFi. On the positive side, the breakfast was very tasty and food was plentiful.

If you are looking for a great location in the hear of Milan and you don't want to spend a fortune Hotel Brunelleschi is your choice. 2 minutes to the Duomo, 1 minute form the subway - you have Milan at your fingertips. I wish they had wireless internet but they provided cables and the connection was very fast. I will stay here again!

Excellent location within short walk of Duomo, Galleria etc. Nice breakfast and friendly English speaking staff.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and I have enjoyed the consistent service and nice rooms. The rooms are not large but adequate for the few nights. My room main area was 11’x12’, with the bath room 6’6”x7’6”. The bed was 44” wide. There are single rooms with twin beds, single rooms with double beds, and larger rooms for families. The front desk staff speaks very good English and is very interested in making your stay pleasant. The free internet is wired in each room and was not as fast as you would expect from a wired system. The breakfast was nice with eggs, meat, pastries, fresh squeezed OJ, coffee, fresh fruit, and yogurt. They have recently added a small exercise room; I did not have a chance to try it. Across the street is a nice simple restaurant "Pizza and Friends". They serve good thin Italian pizza and salads with very quick service. Ask for the English menus. Great place for a quick meal on the night you arrive. I will stay at this hotel whenever I visit Milan as long as the prices are reasonable.

On arrival, I was allocated Room 722. I went into the bathroom and found a ceiling pannel hanging down over the bath. Thie shower over the bath also had a rubber ioutlet missing so that wateer splyed down the side of the glass protector screen. I called maintenance, but they said they could not repair the shower, and I asked to be moved to another room. I could not understand how to work the safe in the room, and there were no instructions. They sent a lady up who did not speak English. They then gave me Room 729. This had a faulty sink in the bathroom, and the maintenance man had to come twice to it; I asked to be upgraded to another room which was ignored, but then, as I was only there for 3 nights, I got fed up and just gave up !!!

pros: great hotel, nice breakfast, very near the center, just steps from metro stop. cons: staff not very helpful and kind of rude, no Wifi, only ethernet cable in room.

Pluses: great location near Duomo and metro; large breakfast buffet included; attentive staff Minuses: across the street from a strip club; internet is wired (not wireless), though high-speed; bathtub had no shower door or curtain (by design); non-smoking room smelled like smoke (and had 4 ashtrays) This hotel was probably a high-end in the 1970s, but has not been modernized.

Very central location, close to the Duomo area. Friendly staff. Breakfast and internet included made the rate reasonable for the central location. The hotel needs some upgrading though, and you have to be prepared that - being a downtown location in Italy - street facing rooms are very noisy. Solution was to have the A/C & fan on at full blast, even in March. A/C was very weak, so a stay in summer may be rather uncomfortable.

Thank goodness the hotel had lots of umbrella's to borrow, just another nice touch! Traveled as group of four ladies, sightseeing and shopping. Brilliant location, no more than 5 minutes walk to the centre. Hotel room was very swish with buttons and knobs for alsorts. spent ages playing with electric curtains! The bathroom was more than adequate and spotlessly clean. we were on the 8th floor and had a balcony!! The bonus was the breakfast, a good choice and being buffet style we could choose what we wanted......and it was most of it! Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and lots of fresh fruit. we were set for the day. we would recommend this hotel to anyone. check out was at noon and we were very pleased with this hotel. The pillows were too hard but they changed them as soon as we asked for soft, so very helpful and friendly.

The hotel was very handy to the Doumo and comfortable. the staff were helpful and the breakfast oustanding. I would reccomend it for someone visiting Milan. It is also just 100 metres from a metro station. It is modern has no particular character as a venue but it performs the function of providing good reasonably priced (in expensive Milan).

The location is perfect - next to the Duomo and the shopping area. The breakfast is excellent and the hotel is well kept, the rooms were clean. The heating system in one of the rooms was noisy but it was OK. The staff was friendly and eager to assist and recommend shops, restaurants and points of interest.

Very nice hotel with great location near the Duomo. Very helpful staff. Room was very quiet. In all, our stay was excellent. I'd recommend.

Everything you want from a city centre hotel – close to all central amenities, not over large, and straight forward no fuss service. All the amenities were of a good standard, reception staff helpful and efficient. Didn’t find noise an issue as other reviewers have commented – in fact having stayed in other parts of Milan previously, we had undisturbed nights. We used this hotel for a combined 4 day visit to Milan and Monza for the F1 Grand Prix. It proved the ideal location, just 3 minutes walk to the Doumo where you are at the centre of the action. For the race weekend getting to and from the track via 3 stops on the Metro to Centrale main line station then on to Monza was a simple commute.

What a delightful hotel! Rooms were clean and roomy, and even though on the corner of a main street, very quiet. Breakfast buffet was excellent, the best one we had in Italy. You can’t beat the location, maybe a 7 minute walk to the Duomo. We were able to walk to the church where the Last Supper was; as a matter of fact we never once grabbed a cab or a bus the 2.5 days we were there. The staff was helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Hotel was conveniently located to Metro and tram service. Easy walk to Duomo and other sites.

Location, location, location! We loved this hotel and appreciate the staff for recommending a great restaurant after a rather trying day.

the hotel had the best location for the Duomo and the surrounding area. Room (a triple) was big and comfortable however there were no extra pillows in the closet. Good closet space. Would stay again

Very close to the Duomo, the metro, La scala, some good restaurants in the area. Great hotel, very high quality of service. only small thing you could say is the beds are a little hard but I think this is the way it is in Italy! Enjoy!

The hotel is in a brilliant location - I could walk everywhere I wanted to go and was right next to the Duomo and Galleria. The room was excellent and was quiet and air conditioned. Internet was free and worked well. I certainly recommend this hotel - I found it good value for money because I grabbed a special that was going but anyway it would be worth paying that bit extra to be so close to everything. The only complaint for me was that the staff were not very friendly or helpful and I was travelling on my own and didn't speak the language which made it difficult.

My wife and I both think that there are 3 important requirements of any hotel. The standard and comfort and cleanliness of your room, the service and friendliness of staff and the hotel's location. With full breakfast included, Hotel Brunelleschi scores 4 stars on all requirements. Hotel Brunelleschi is right in the centre of Milan, ideally located within easy walking distance of Milan's main attractions, tram and metro services. My wife and I very much recommend Hotel Brunelleschi for all business and vocational visits to Milan.

This is billed as a 4 star hotel but it is 3 at best. The hotel is old, the staff acted as if each guest were a bother. The breakfast was barely edible, with canned fruits and powdered eggs. The breakfast room was dingy and dirty. With so many choices in Milan, give this one a miss.
