Hotel deLuxe, a Provenance Hotel - بورتلاند

At check in we were asked if we wanted a key to the refrigerator in the room. We didn't want one at the time. After we got in the room we decided we did want something from the minibar. They obviously down graded our room because we didn't even have a refrigerator. Room listed Aveda as the line they use for bath products. This was not the case. The top blanket on the bed was torn. Room looked cheap for the price we paid. Dresser looked like it came from Goodwill.

Accomodations were fine. Service was great, including front desk who called to find out some options for the local music scene. Went above the call of duty. Nice neighborhood that wasn't too busy.

Can't say enough good things. The food was great love this place!

Hotel is unique and great location. I would stay again.

the driftwood bar downstairs is really great. pretty extensive drink menu for a small bar and very welcoming staff. this is coming from someone who doesnt really drink so being that i was impressed, thats a lot. there are really nice hollywood pictures that a turner movie classics black & white fan would appreciate. the over all decor is ok. the location is great for getting anywhere by car but not that much in the immediate neighborhood. everyone was courteous and friendly. quite reasonably priced too. we liked the local artisan ice cream service and the "make it so" button on the phone. just an overall vibe of aiming to please.

Excellent front desk staff. Great location although room noise from tram sometimes bothersome. Linens, towels etc great quality but bed poor...soft & lumpy.Enjoyed Gracie's restaurant.

Most enjoyable. friendly and helpful staff and within walkingdistance to where I needed to be. I would stay there again.

The Hotel Deluxe is a truly amazing place. The hotel itself is charming and older, meaning that the rooms are a little smaller than a modern hotel. The hotel is spotless and very well decorated. The front desk staff was super friendly and always remembered our names and said hello as we passed by. Maddie at the front desk took the time to plan an entire Bke/Brewpub tour for us and it was perfect. I experienced a level of service that was truly unexpected and that i will never forget.

The hotel was a short walk from everything, but managed to feel just a little secluded, which was perfect. Nice bar and restaurant in the hotel. Very friendly staff. Only complaint: the room was tiny--not a problem for me staying solo, but it would be very cramped for two (I booked for one, and maybe they consider that when assigning rooms).

We keep coming back to this hotel because it is very accessible to everything, has a wonderful lobby to sit and visit or enjoy a glass of wine. We come here every time we come to Portland to visit our son who lives here - it has become a home away from home. Thank you for your excellence.

This was our first time in Portland so we were nervous staying in a place that wasn't "downtown" and walking distance to everything. We were so wrong. The Hotel Deluxe was walkable to every great neighbourhood including the Pearl, Nob Hill and downtown. If we couldn't walk to it, the bus line was a block away and a day pass sets you back $5/pp. Our room was small but very beautiful and comfortable. But the best part of the hotel was the staff. We did not meet one person who was unhelpful; we used room service, concierge, bar and valet services. The atmosphere was professional, very friendly and down-to-earth. Take advantage of their happy hour daily which is 1/2 price drinks and appies. The portions are huge so I didn't feel they were appies. Overall, we loved Portland and the hotel so we will be back!

Very close to all the things downtown you'd want to walk too. Beautiful hotel, the rooms are small but very comfortable. Awesome bed!

It was my second trip to Portland and found a deal for Hotel deLuxe and I was delighted with my choice. I liked that it was a few blocks away from the city center which gave me the opportunity to see another area of PDX. But most of all the staff were friendly and attentive. And the hotel and rooms were stylish and clean with a modern take on old Hollywood. Even if you don't end up staying at this hotel, check out the early and late evening happy hours-great drinks with great ambience.

Loved the Hotel and the Restraunt was excellent

Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel with lots of charm. Rooms & baths were small, but the luxury (old world Hollywood style) made up for it. Room service was excellent; nice hotel bar & restaurant also. Room was spotlessly clean and hotel staff were first rate. Will definitely stay there again.

Every staff mbr was on point and expert in their role. The bar is a hidden gem: great cocktails (ask for the Murray Manhattan), great food from the 4-star restaurant, and so old-timey dark. I can't imagine why some previous reviewers have rated the Deluxe average unless they didn't know how lame the Portland competition is. This is PORTLANDIA, not San Fran. And the Deluxe is a best buy for service, location and price.

Beautiful hotel,very clean and excellent service. A little farther to the downtown area, but was a very easy walk to downtown. I would definately recommend this hotel and will be staying there again.

Very nice, but parking is $24.00 per day.

Walkable to everywhere that I found interesting

The hotel was very cute and well looked after, certainly the hotel I hope to find when I'm travelling for business or pleasure! But the people at Hotel DeLuxe took their service to another level when I forgot my contact lens case and called down to see if they have any (hotels often do). They didn't, and after explaining to me where I needed to go at 9:00 at night after a long day and an early morning ahead of me, she sensed my concern wandering around an area I didn't know at all. So she offered to send someone for me - it was amazing and I had my lens case in 45 minutes! The hotel was wonderful, but this experience means I'll definitely be staying here again!

We had a lovely weekend away from the kids for my birthday. Customer service was friendly and outstanding -- concierge booked a dinner reservation for us at a busy restaurant that had told us the day before they didn't have any more reservations open. Very comfortable room. Decor of lobby, hallways, and guest rooms is beautiful. Would definitely recommend to others.

This is a nice hotel, but not nearly as nice as others would have you think. We booked a "Deluxe King with Free Internet'. The first thing to note was despite what that might imply, the internet was not free. When I queried, they said 'Internet is never free with expedia', didn't care what my confirmation letter said. They did begrudgingly give me a code for a single device when I insisted, but that's it. The room was very small and the bathroom less than basic, hardly any room at all. I have no idea what I got for the extra money I paid for the 'deluxe' room, as it really couldn't have been any smaller or more basic. The high point of the stay was the restaurant - excellent, but you don't need to stay at the deluxe to use it. My advice is to stay in one of the other great hotels in portland, and just visit the restaurant.

The lady and I had an amazing time. Highly recommend it to others. We are even considering to have our wedding reception at this place.

The first night of our stay was a bit treacherous because they put us in a room where the elevators were directly on the other side of the wall. I called the next morning and they moved us right away and were very generous about everything. The front desk folks are always super friendly and the Driftwood bar is always an amazing place to relax and have cocktails and food. Hotel Deluxe is the BEST hotel in Portland. I've stayed there six times and never want to stay anywhere else.

Wow! I stay in Portland and the NW quite a bit and I must say the Hotel DeLuxe has been my best experience. I really cant wait to go back there

I've stayed at the Deluxe before, and will stay there again in the future. Top notch service, and I've stayed at fine hotels worldwide. This one is among the best. Beautiful room, the King Deluxe rooms are worth the small amount more as they are super roomy. great for business or leisure....either way you will not disappointed. I'd venture a guess to say that no other hotel has in-room delivery of Portlands best hand made ice cream (Salt and Shaker). Try the blue cheese/ pear, it's to die for!

Easy walk to downtown but also located on public transportation. Great concierge service booking meals with special perks. They were very helpful with our reservation, as we were driving in from San Francisco and going to arrive a day late. They were very considerate and changed our reservation at no cost. Exceptional service all around.

Wonderful staff...lovely stay

It was work, but it didn't feel that way once I arrived at the hotel. The happy hour was divine. The curated floors of old Hollywood classic movies was wonderful. The room was smartly designed, although small. And the location was perfect to walk to Nob Hill and downtown. The only complaint is the black-out curtains left a crack so tons of street light seeped in. The room also had a lot of ambient lights on tv and radio, so that didn't help getting to sleep. No street noise, though. A cool perk was the offer of an iPod filled with different genres of music. Didn't need it, but what hotel does that? This one...

I have stayed here several times when visiting my daughter and I know the rooms for singles are small and the bathrooms even smaller but since I only sleep here and it's otherwise a very nice hotel I don't mind. There is only one thing that I wish they would change and that is the shower heads, I realize they are water savers but there are better water saving shower heads on the market that are more efficient, it takes me forever rinse off. Never the less I will be back.

Very happy with this hotel. Ties for favorite in Portland with Modera. The service was especially excellent. I had a couple of special requests which they met without blinking.

This place is great, the restaurant was delicious, pretty much loved everything about our stay here!!!

The staff is incredibly helpful, rooms (especially bathroom) very elegant down to the last detail. Only cons were small room and a very expensive fridge and basket bar-type thingy. Even the restaurant and the bar (both very busy) were really great!

Friendliest hotel staff I have ever experienced in the U.S and the beds and linen was soooo comfy!!
