GRAND HOTEL DECHAMPAIGNE - باريس

Stay was OK, though room incredibly small even for Paris. They didn't bother telling us at check in that water was off for the next several hours. Hence no showers after our transatlantic flight, not even washing up,not even brushing teeth. And only one of us could flush toilet. The next day, I was given five minutes notice that water would be turned off again, just in time for my husband who was out taking an eight mile hike. Water was turned on just in time for him to shower before check out. While he was in the shower, an employee unlocked our door and just walked in without even knocking. We will definitely not stay here again, despite great location. Local boulangerie is a great value compared to hotel's breakfast.

The location of the hotel was perfect! Centralized with the best Metro connections possible. The actual hotel was so charming and had so much character. Each room is uniquely romantic -- my husband and I loved it! The service was very nice -- we would stay here again!

Great location. easy from Gare du Nord and easy to get around to otherareas of Paris. Staff was extremely helpful. Recommended good resaurants in the area. will ask for a romm with a bathtub next time. Definitely will recommend.

We very much enjoyed our brief stay at this hotel - very convenient to the Louvre and Notre Dame - bfast was fine, complimentary champagne in the evening a nice touch- quiet, near good restaurants; the staff were pleasant and accommodating - we'd stay there again!

This hotel is tucked away and we almost missed it, but it was worth it. The room was small, no question, and being on the 6th floor required an elevator trip to the fifth floor and a one-flight climb of the stairs. Bath was oddly laid out with an angled ceiling but these issues were probably because we were on the top floor -- lower floors likely had few of these issues. The room however, was QUIET and that counts for a lot for us. Great location, breakfast was terrific, and the staff was extremely nice. The price was right for this part of town. I'll stay there again.

The location is outstanding: steps from a major Metro station and 2 blocks from the Seine just across from the Isle de la Cite, and on a quiet side street. Travel from train stations and the airport is direct and very easy. The Staff were very helpful and the room was clean. However, the room was so tiny that it really should not accommodate more than one person. The only nearby place for an inexpensive breakfast is closed Sundays and Mondays. For a small European-style hotel in a location convenient to major tourist attractions, this is a good choice if the price paid reflects the star rating.

I had only 2 days to spend in Paris, so wanted to be in as central a location as possible to see all the sights. The Grand Hotel DeChampaigne is practically on top of the Chatelet metro stop which is a hub for most of the Parisan lines. It is walking distance from the Louvre, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter and many of the better sites. The accomodations were very nice, and the price was perfect! It was a little difficult to locate at first as it is on a side street not visible on a map, but, once found -- it is a great hidden gem!

WE HAVE BEEN TO PARIS MANY TIMES BUT THIS TIME WAS SPECIAL AS IT WAS OUR HONEYMOON. THE HOTEL IS IN A SUPERB LOCATION AND THERE ARE SEVERAL 1st CLASS RESTAURANTS NEARBY IF YOU ARE WORN OUT BY THE DAY`S SIGHTSEEING AND DO NOT WANT TO GO FAR IN THE EVENING. GO FOR THE 5th FLOOR ROOMS WITH BALCONY ITS WORTH THE EXTRA. TO SUM UP ITS THE BEST VALUE WE HAVE HAD IN PARIS

Le Grand Hotel Dechampaigne is a unique and charming boutique hotel in the perfect Paris location. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful & efficient staff who speak perfect English (and multiple other languages). A bargain for the price. We stayed 5 nights at the Grand Hotel Dechampaigne. I picked this hotel by web searching based on location, and booked it through Hotels.com. Apprehensions about being misled by web descriptions disappeared with the welcoming glass of champagne and my wife’s reaction to seeing our 6th floor balcony room – “How perfectly charming.” What had charmed her were the exposed 17-century beams in the walls & ceilings, the padded fabric wall-coverings, fresh flowers, and covered balcony overlooking the Paris rooftops. For me, it was individual room A/C that actually made the room cool on a hot afternoon, the free wireless (which worked only on the balcony), the rack of umbrellas for hotel guests, and the helpful staff who printed boarding passes, recommended great cafes, arranged a tour of Versailles, and graciously found an answer to every question. The room & bathroom were small, but more than adequate to hold a comfortable king bed, dressing table & stool, a small fridge, armchair, and good-sized closet; the balcony, with wicker chairs & table, effectively made the room feel spacious. The bathroom had make-up mirror, hairdryer, and a good shower. Boxes of geraniums along the balcony gave it such a homey feel that you wanted to water the flowers. The immediate neighborhood is wonderful – within 100 yards of the Hotel is a great bakery (Boulangerie-Patisserie Rault) with super-friendly staff (it’s THE place to go for breakfast with great coffees and possibly the best croissants in Paris), a supermarket, 7 or 8 restaurants (one of which – Au Vieux Comptoir – is fabulous!). and the Chatelet Metro stop (with 5 lines that take you everywhere). Then, there’s the ideal location. It’s on a tiny, quiet alleyway a half-block from the Rue de Rivoli an

Veldig koselig hotell med hyggelige og hjelpsomme ansatte. Ganske små rom. Brukbar frokost.

Var i Paris med lillesøster for å shoppe, se Notre Dame og spise god mat. Alt dette var i gangavstand fra hotellet så vi tok omtrent ikke metroen (bare da vi skulle på loppemarked). Men uansett så gikk alle linjer fra Chatelet metrostasjon (rett rundt hjørnet), så det var lett å komme seg rundt. Rommet var dekorert i kongestil i lilla og gult som gav hotellet masse Parisisk sjarm. Rent og pent, fint bad og alt vi trengte. Jeg kommer til å bo her igjen!

Mann hat alles was nötig ist, es ist sauber aber das Bett war ziemlich unangenehm. Dafür ist die Lage top. Überall schnell zu Fuß, neben Louvre und sehr ruhig. Die Einrichtung ist etwas veraltet, aber es war nicht so wichtig. Fernseher mit viele Programme dabei, Minibar, Service ok. Allgemein sehr gut.

Huone numero 106 pieni, mutta siisti. Kylpyhuoneessa sijaitseva suihku myos erittain pieni. Mutta hotellin sijanti on erinomainen metrolinjojen "risteyskohdassa" (hotellilta helppo matkata moneen suuntaan ilman useita vaihtoja), puhumattakaan siita, etta kavelymatkan paassa upeat ostosmahdollisuudet, useat nahtavyydet (Louvre, Notre-Dame..), ravintoloita, kahviloita.. Ystavallinen hotellihenkilokunta. Suosittelen lampimasti.

Jag och min tonårsdotter var på lång weekend i Paris och kom att trivas mycket bra. Hotellets personal var mycket hjälpsamma med allt från bokning av resuatiranger samt att skriva ut kartor från google på platser vi ville besöka. Vi fick även byta rum för att få ett med balkong utan problem. De tog hand om flytten av våra saker etc. De närliggande restaurangerna hade både god mat och service. Men dessvärre var området troligtvis lite av festarkvarter, för på mornarna efter var det smutsigt och nedskräpat i kvarteret. men hotellet höll ordning kring sin entré. Vi blev inte störda av ljud undernatten från gatan. Bra med ett snabbköp runt hörnet.

hôtel très bien placé au coeur de Paris présentant un bon service et un bon confort dans un style ancien mais néanmoins propre et dépaysant.
