The Hyatt at the Bellevue is a very classy with old world charm with many modern comforts. Our room was nice and our bed very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location with a lot to do within the hotel itself. We would recommend this hotel and plan to stay again.

great overnight stay, the room we got was larger than most rooms that we have stayed, especially when sharing the room with two children. Also it provided 2 queens which was hard to find at philly. Would stay at this hotel again.

The rooms were gorgeous and the hotel in general is very well kept, but the walls between rooms are very thin and there was a crying baby in the room next to ours ...

Highly overrated...worst possible wall paper for a lobby. Had to lift my kid with stroller on n off the hotel enterance...no elevators. Room carpet was not clean. We spill water and the bedsheet n mattresses got wet...called room service for replacement...they did replace...but the dirty sheet was left on the floor. Had to call three times to get lukewarm water..excuse given first time...we forgot...second time...we cud n understand what u wanted...and finally after third time what we had was boiling hot n not lukewarm.

Customer service is great, hotel is very clean, fitnes center is the best in the city. The best hotel in Philadelphia.

Spent the weekend here, amazing and courteous staff! Room was slightly outdated, but very clean. For me it was the prefect location, everywhere I went was well within walking distance (south street shopping, Italian market, nightlife.) XIX offers an amazing view of the city with great food and a cozy lounge, had the best weekend there and plan on staying again!

Room was clean, quiet and large with nice view. Upstairs "XIX" is great for a late night drink.

My husband and I got married on August 27th of last year during Hurricane Irene so we were unable to get out of the city. We promised ourselves that we would take some time and do weekend getaways. This was our first. Check-in was quick and painless. The hotel itself was gorgeous and the view was breathtaking.

Old style architecture that has been well maintained. Staff friendly. Found the room to be noisy. Again its an older hotel and sound proofing was imited at the time it was built. Very deceiving from the outside as the inside has some beautful areas such as a Conservatory and 19th floor resturant.

Great location near major cultural and nightlife venues. Fabulous bar on 19th floor with great city views. In general the hotel is well maintained and is VERY clean. But our room was showing signs of wear, especially in the bathroom where wall paper was starting to peel in places, and very old (and probably permanent by now) stains made floor corners obvious. These corners were very clean, though. The Awake Package we bought included a bottle of decent champagne and breakfast for two. Please to learn that we could have breakfast by room service and order off the menu. Very nice touch. It arrived within a couple of minutes of the promised time. I would stay there again if I can get a good deal like the one we had.

My husband and I stayed here on 2/10/2012 for a couple's night away from home. Overall it was a really nice hotel. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, high-end but not stuffy. My husband had a 30 minute chair message at the spa, which he said was great, and I had an 80-minute facial which was really relaxing. We visited the hotel bar at the XIX, but were really disappointed. It was stuffy, with loud repetitive "lounge music" and an "I'm better than you" feel. We're both only 26, and maybe a bit too young to own matching Rolexes, otherwise we might have fit in a little better. We payed $25 for 2 drinks and left. Breakfast at the XIX cafe was nice, their eggs benedict was really good, and my husband enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Our bill was a little pricey for breakfast though, it came to $44 before tip. Great hotel to stay in if you want a relaxing, comfortable stay, but go elsewhere if you're looking for a comfortable bar.

This hotel is a fine old "Grande Dame' at a great price!

Perfect Center City Philadelphia location. Old style rooms but very large and comfortable. Bar and Restaurant on 19th floor are fantastic, especially for nightcap. The adjoining athletic club is THE athletic club in the city and use is free and unlimited. Everything in Center City Philly is within walking distance. I train in from the airport for $7.00 and the station is a 10 minute walk from the Hotel. The price was unbeatable!

Very well presented hotel. Clean with comfortable beds. Was difficult to find on google maps because there are no building numbers. We only stayed one night but were able to walk to several bars and restaurants. Will be back in Philly soon!

Excellent service throughout hotel; convenient neighborhood right across from a subway. Has its own restaurant called XIX on the 19th floor with a cool bar. Every course was excellent, decor and ambience wonderful. Moderate noise in the restaurant, definitely more dressed up than down.The attached bar was slightly noiser but not crazed. The gym is excellent , spreading over 3 floors, with all the latest equipment, classes including boxing and aerobics. And there is a pool, so come armed with all workout and bathing suits. The hotel also has an inside walkway to a hair parlor, Tiffany's, a shoe store and Williams Sonoma. Other nice stores right next to the hotel are LaCoste and Kenneth Cole. For alternative dining options that are close by and more casual, the hotel has a foodcourt in the lower levels for more causal dining. Across the street is Pain Quotidien. A few blocks away (walking distance) from Readding Market.

Great location, Great Service, easy to checkin and checkout, the restaurant on the 19 floor is absolutly amazing, the sport club is extraordinary, the hotel is big, and is a little easy to get lost, but it was great, I will stay there again if I go back to Philadelphia!

The domed restaurant on the 19th floor is a lovely way to start your day for breakfast.

I would highly recommend the Bellevue for a relaxing, connected stay in downtown CC. I had some question regarding my room not facing the city, and later, on extending my reservation for another day when the hotel was sold out and received great service from Andrew and Michelle - Service Managers. I felt accommodated and at ease. If you stay, you need to go to the gym -one the best of Philly and worth a stay at the hotel alone! The rooms are being remodeled, so may be too antiquated for some. I stayed in one of the older (I'd say historic) rooms. It had great colonial details and what it was lacking in modern luxury (the shower was not great), it made up in space (it was huge) and comfort (bed was amazing). I got a great price for this hotel, and would have been okay to spend twice the price!

I really enjoyed my stay that the Hyatt Hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, and the service from the front desk to my hotel room was impecable.

We love this hotel and have stayed here several times, but this time we felt that the room we had was not as good as usual. The heat was uncontrollable and even after maintenance tried two times to fix it, it was extremely warm. Since this was over Christmas and there were only about 40 rooms occupied, I think we could have been given a better room for the holidays. No mini bar in the room and no soda machines in the halls. Only room service available.

Wish the gym was accessible for $30 a day. The hotel is nice as well.

Out of a 2 week roadtrip holiday through the States (going from the West to East Coast), this by far was the best hotel we stayed in. The room was massive, clean, comfortable and luxurious. The staff were lovely and helpful. I had to double check the rate we were paying for the night instead of per person or by the minute! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

overly expensive and not 4 star. web site does not mention you will be assigned an inside facing room with "atrium view" meaning no view. had to upgrade for $50 per night to get a window. beds way to soft.old towels.had to pay for internet only to find out each device needed separate billing. never again

The hotel was beautiful and charming but what really made my stay was it's amazing fitness center. For an avid, gym junkie, this was nirvana.

Please remodel this hotel, it was disgusting and even worse was the price to pay for it...

I LOVED this hotel, because the rooms are huge and the fitness center is totally over the top. Excellent location with shopping right in the hotel, close to convention center where I had a week long meeting. I will say the hotel needs some updating with paint peeling in some areas, but nothing that would detract from wanting to stay there. Overall, an absolutely superior experience.

Nice room. Very Noisy at night if you are not used to staying in a city. Got woken up 3-4 times from noise on the street level from the 14th floor. We did not get the room we reserved. We reserved a King room and got 2 queens and a less grade room. the hotel is upscale with convient parking although I dont know why they charge 27.00 a night. the fitness center was nice and we had a pleasant stay.

Mostly great but they missed a few small details. Went out early (5:30 AM), others had 2 papers by their door, I had none. Mentioned it at desk on my return and they did nothing. Doesn't fit with a fine hotel. Small details are what makes a great hotel. Missed the boat here. Restaurant / bar upstairs are nice with a great view, again a small miss. Asked for payment after order not if I was staying or anything. Comes across as faded glory on the way down. Would stay again but with lowered expectations. Location is good for me for business.

This hotel is a smallsection of an old Waldoff Astoria hotel where the legionaires disease occured... it now is part hotel, designer shops and executive offices. Nice, but i dont think a four star when they give you 3 bath towels (not plush) for a man and a women... Good place to stay when the rate is good. the Palm restaurant in the original lobby has a nice oyster happy hour!

We loved our stay. The room was spacious, beautiful and comfortable. The upstairs restaurant is the perfect place to have a late night drink and dessert on the outdoor terrace. The gym is amazing!

I love this hotel and I've stayed here twice. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the location is prime in the city. The suites are awesome, so if you can swing it, book a suite!! Everything about the hotel is all about old charm; huge windows, detailed crown molding, big thick doors, paintings and art work in every room and different details in every room. Also, go to XIX, the restaurant at the top of the hotel; great views, excellent food and service.

Overall its a nice hotel. But there were a few problems, mainly because of the age of the building. Like the hot water didn't work initially, but when we called the front desk they said to leave it running for 15 minutes, and sure enough, we got ample hot water. We also had to wait forever for the elevator, closest to our room. But we found that there is a newer elevator in the middle of the hotel that is newer and quicker.

Top location to be near theaters and restaurants and shopping. Loved the "welcome to the Hyatt" glass of champagne! Particularly convenient pull in to the entrance parking. We would highly recommend.

staff was always helpful. late check out was no problem. great deal
