Gaslamp Plaza Suites - سان دييجو

Extremely high cost to valet park at downtown location while staying at the hotel. And the so-called 'continental breakfast' was pathetic.

Hotel Location was great for us, walking distance to everything we wanted to visit. No need to rent a car.

Great location. Right next to 5th street, where all the night life happens. Check-in was a little delayed.

Loved the hotel! The room was clean and comfy and the hotel staff was very friendly. The location is fantastic with tons of restaurants and Horton Plaza just down the street. The only downside is the neighborhood is incredibly loud and it lasts pretty much all night long. Our room was on the 8th floor facing 5th St. and it sounded like we were at street level. Not a deal breaker but definitely something to keep in mind. Also, not that it had anything to do with the hotel, but someone was smoking weed in one of the rooms down the hall and the whole floor stunk.

Overall, the hotel was nice and in a great location. The free breakfast was not very good and internet service is an additional $12.00/day.

The place is a bit drabby. It didn't live up to its price.

Great service by the staff. Excellent location for exploring the restaurants and clubs downtown. Not the quietest location for a vacationing family, but it was very comfortable.

Very reasonable price for the quality of the room and service from the staff. This place will be visited again by me in the near future.

The location was excellent and within walking distance to several venues. The staff was very pleasant, however, I was very disappointed with the facility overall. The room was a little smaller than I expected and it was very dusty. The housekeeper came in at least 2 of the 4 days during my stay to "tidy" up and refresh the towels, but did not provide any further cleaning. Also, I ran out of water everyday, on several occasions, whether I was taking a shower or using water from the sink. I will not be recommending this hotel to others.

The hotel, staff and surrounding area were great! The room was quite a bit smaller than expected. Just barely accommodated 2 people. No room between the bathroom door and bed, maybe 3-feet total and the bed stopped it from opening all the way. Once open you could not get by it. A little to close for my taste, but overall, it was very nice, good location.

Great hotel. Great staff. Close to Gaslamp strip. Great restaurants. Awesome entertainment. I will go and stay again.

It was fantastic. It all started with an upgrade to our room and continued from there. Could not fault it. Would definitely stay there again.

Very charming older hotel. Great location for shopping, walking, and restaurants. Enjoyed my 2 day stay and have recommended it to friends. Friendly staff and nice light breakfast. Great value for the price.

Room was to small to be call a suite. very loud from machinery on their roof top next to the room. Construction was going on outside that started at 7 am. Parking was 30 dollars a day. Construction hit a water line. No water for half and day. Will not stay there again.

The most comfortable bed, quiet and able to blackout windows you can sleep all day. Hot hot water, super remodel of an old Gaslamp property. 10 min walk to Petco and in the middle of Gaslamp - never drove while there. Sketchy wifi not free but good free avail locally. Super rooftop view and breakfast. Best value on hotels.com!

I was initially very impressed with this vintage hotel. My husband and I were on a weekend getaway to San Diego and the location was great for us. The hotel itself is old and has a ton of character. The architecture and decor is awesome. This was a compromise though... to be within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars, we also had to put up with the street noise. The window in our bedroom wouldn't shut properly so my light-sleeper husband had trouble staying asleep until about 2:00 or 3:00 am. The cool vintage feel does little for practical needs like noise abatement. I was also a little disappointed with our bathroom. I could totally understand and love the old fixtures and subway tile if it was actually cared for. There was hair in the tub and some small strips of the grout lines had begun to turn pink from mold or bacteria. The bed and linens were comfortable and the suite was a nice size. One more thing about the hotel that had originally sold me on it was the complimentary continental breakfast on the roof of the building. The views and location were really neat, but the meal was lacking. It was basically toast, pastries, apples, cereal, and beverages. I guess I've come to expect more from continental breakfast - at least some protein. In conclusion, our stay had pros and cons. All in all I would probably search for a new hotel next time.

$30 for parking seemed steep. Extra for WiFi was not welcome. But the part I disliked most was the poor poor "continential" breakfast.

after reading the reviews mostly good and some bad. The hotel is old but redone love the marble floors very uniqu. I was very happy with my stay we were on the third floor other reviews people complained about noise I was back in my room by midnight and didnt hear much noise.Great location only downfall of course is the parking for 30.00 other than that this place is aswesome Staff is friendly and helpful.Will defineitly stay agian.

With the hotel created from an old office building, they had the basic amenities and it was pretty close to many stores and restaurants. The rooms were small but very comfortable.

We stayed at the Gaslamp Plaza Suites during my getaway and visit to San Diego. We stayed in studio suite 710 which we reserved online for $99/night which got us a studio suite with a queen bed and a window box seating area. No sofa like the suites posted in photos. We were very happy with our stay and got engaged that night in Little Italy! There is valet parking for $30/night and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful since we didn't know the area. The hotel is literally steps from all the bars in the Gaslamp district and provided for a fun bar crawl following our engagement! I would recommend this hotel to others looking to visit the area for a night.

It sounded like a riot outside until after 3am. I did not get enough sleep.

Room was not nearly as spacious as photo led me to believe (definitely not a suite by any stretch!). Actually a bit cramped. Bed was not that comfortable and seemed ready for retirement. Good location and could walk to where I needed to go. Overall, served my purpose, but for the price expected more. Will look for a different place first before choosing here again.

The hotel is a beautiful early 20th century building, originally a bank building. The rooms still maintain an air of the original office suite style, doors with mail slots for example. The decor and furnishings were wonderful, being both modern and Edwardian looking at the same time. Desk staff were extremely helpful and courteous. And the hotel is located close to all of the major attractions of downtown. The only negative points are the Hustler Hollywood store across the street, and the fact that partiers on 5th on a Saturday night can be too easily heard in the rooms, better soundproofing would be welcomed.

Room ended up being better than I thought. Had enough room for 3 people and could have fit 1 more. Location was great! Our room over looked the PARTY (5th st). Everything was walking distance; clubs, bars, restaurants, Petco Park. The roof top was perfect start to the weekend. You can see the whole Gaslamp and surrounding areas. We're all planning to make this our hotel for our yearly March Madness trips in the future!

Stay was good except for the last night where some drunk couple were standing outside my door having an arguement. It got very loud and I had to call the front desk. It took 2 calls from me and one from another guest on the floor before security came up.

I thought the hotel was great the location was great.

Prime location right at the edge of the Gaslamp district and by Horton Plaza. Very cute historic hotel. Had 3 different rooms and all had a unique character as this is an older hotel. Very clean and very friendly staff. Great price. Will definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel, very close to almost everything downtown. Very noisy though from traffic, street noise, early morning noise is the only complaint.

Parking is too expensive $30 a day for valet. The staff was great . The Gaslamp Plaza Suites a boutique hotel with a fantasizing history. Mary at the front desk was friendly and helpful besides sharing the history of the building with us. It is actually a diamond in the rough. Only downside is the parking

The hotel was pretty good for its price. The main problem was the noise, it did not get quite until 4 a.m. This was completely unexpected and very difficult to handle. Most likely we will stay there again, the hotel was close to everything, but we will ask for a room that is inside (no window) that would prevent a lot of noise. Overall the hotel was good expect for the noise which can be fixed by having an inside room. Ask for that type of room when making your reservation.

The room was spacious and clean. I didn't like the fact that there was a $12-$13 surcharge per day of internet service or a $30/night valet parking fee. I parked on the street. Great proximity to a bunch of restaurants/bars/shops. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very nice boutique hotel. In the midst of the downtown gas lamp neighborhood. Surrounding area full of restaurants, and nice little stores. Great area to walk around. Nicely decorated and comfortable room. The street noise did not bother me

I booked three rooms in this hotel for me and my students. We all absolutely loved it! It has a great atmosphere and we were all very comfy. The suites were spacious and the students loved that their rooms had two bathrooms. The breakfast was fine (lots of pastry, toast, oatmeal, cereal, apples, juice). The views from the rooftop were beautiful. If I had to have one recommendation, it would be to have some more fruit (bananas?) as a breakfast option. But we loved our stay.

We got a mini-suite and requested the highest floor possible in response to the mentions of noise in these reviews. The lady at the front desk was very nice. The hotel seemed to be in great condition (renovations are ongoing). The room (recently renovated) was very impressive! Great everything. Spartan breakfast on the rooftop with a great view. Great location. Will stay again.

Terrible breakfast, noisy on weekend nights. Otherwise a terrific location and value.

This hotel was really comforable, roomy, clean and such a cool style. Not a super fancy type place, but everything about it was good. huge room. great staff. Easy valet parking. Awesome location.

I had stayed here years ago and had fond memories. My recent stay was even better than my memories. They have done a great job of remodeling and the rooftop breakfast area/lounge was amazing. The decor reminds me of a 1940s movie but with the modern ameneties of a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I lowered my rating on the comfort due to lack of a warm blanket, but overall I would love to go back.
