yuck, this hotel is old, ugly and run down. Worse it's not within walking distance of anything and the beach is not maintained at all.

It was by the beach,but it felt old and dirty building.

Hotel had liveable accomodations. Building is aged, along with furniture and amenties. Tile floors out of ordinary for me, but works on the beach. Hotels.com site indicated free brakfast, but was not given this when asked. Also, it would have only covered a continental breakfast, not a Hot Breakfast. Breakfast bar was mediocre with basic offerings. 50's styling with car booths was pretty neat. Cook needs to learn how to cook a better omelet. Cheddar would be a nice touch. Cheese goes inside the egg fold, not on top. Pool area was nice but dated. Beach access very good. Parking lot overfilled every night, tough to find a space and a fender bender waiting to happen.

Nice beach, nice pool and restaurant. Breakfast included in price was nothing - just toast and jam. They should make some more for better rating and opinion.

Great rooms, very friendly staff and walk out the back gate to the beach.........loved it will definitely go back.

This hotel was not clean. The pool was dirty and it had bugs in it. The con tinental breakfast had no fruit. The hotel lobby staff did not speak english well. The best thing about the hotel was that it was close to the beach, although you could only get 2 lounge chairs on the beach without an addtional cost and an umbrella also cost additional money. Definitely would not recommend this hotel. The hotel room was not clean. There was limited cable on the television and at one point the telephones were not working

The hotel was comfortable and clean enough. It really needs maintenance though. The first room we were given I opened the window and it slammed shut and the other window didn't open. The second room same problem with the windows. I had to eventually place a book into the opening to keep it open. The weren't balconies available as I was lead to believe. Would I stay here again...no.

I don't usually write reviews but the hotel was all around bad ... except that it was right on the beach. Service was poor, not awful, but poor. The beds smelled. It was very old and not renovated. And the "continental breakfast" ... was stale bread and coffee. Seriously ... oh and some no-name cereal. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, even for the price.

This was the worst night that my family and I had in a hotel. Doors slamming all night, people walking down the tile hallway. No exhaust fan in the bathroom.

It's very very old type of hotel. Everything was not good condition. But very close to beach that's all.

for the money you get a great view of the ocean very pleased. I have been several times will continue to go back. Close to south beach activities but far enough away when you just want the ocean to yourself. Family friendly. People and service are very good. Hotel needs a little update but worth the visit. Always feel safe in the area. Great choice if you want lots to do or just want to read a book on the beach.

Not well kept. Everything was kind of gross.

Very recomendable if you want a budget hotel, is far from the center but if you rent a Car only takes 10 minutes. Is very clean, the breakfast is ok and the pool is perfect. Wi fi is available everywere but not always good signal. I Will definetly stay there my next time in miami

The Hotel was old and poorly maintained. Rooms are noisy as you could hear neighbors coming and going. The continental Breakfast consisted of cereal and toast only. There was no fruit, juice etc... The pool Bar was terribly overpriced.

Terrible stay experience. No help at all if you need info Unsatisfactory restaurant. My wide forgot 3 expensive jackets in the closet. We drove down. When we noticed Them missing we were too far to turn around. Someone in housekeeping stole them.

The hotel was comfortable.There was no exauhst so, the bathroom stinked.Everything else was fine.

Friendly staff. Good location and neighborhoods. Very old hotel. Needs a profound restoration

Amazing Russian Spa for Hotel Guests is only $15 a day.

Affordable and fairly decent for a place to sleep. Might want to consider another place if want want more than average luxury, comfort and service.

A great location, close to Bal Harbour Shopping, but unfriendly staff , and rooms that belong in a century old hotel. I paid for a Junior suite ocean view, was given an old room with side ocean view and the front desk employee kept insisting that that was a Suite, asked to see a regular room to compare , he refused.

very nice and comfortable place that i even been on the sort with good price and pretty nice services.

clean and very quite place, excellent for people who will like to have a piece of mind, parking available and close to a park and beach.

The phone was not working when you called the front desk. The rooms & hallway smelled like mold. The front desk service was extremely slow. The parking lot was very crowded, there were many cars parked outside the plot. Had to be extremely careful when you drove through the parking lot. Nice location, good price.

Bathroom full of hair , pool very dirty , full of hair and bugs ... Looks like good but it is not... Never more !!!!

I bet it was great when it opened, but now you do not even get a decent land telephone in your room. I switched rooms because the first one was a smoking one and I could not have a conversation with front desk from any room due to static in the lines. The telephone devices may be the originals from the early 80's. Staff is good but hotel does need a renovation.

If you are in need of any help in this hotel, fat chance. The operator just keeps you on hold for a long time and when you call back, I believe she notices your number and puts you back on hold without answering. Perhaps the hotel need to pay them more. It was clean, however, The rooms could be upgraded just a little more for the money that you are paying. Stay away from the Junior suite. It is not worth the money. You are better off with a regualar hotel room facing the ocean becuase it really isn't that muchh more space and it has almost the same equipment--my friend stayed in one. It is not a bad hotel, it is just that if you are looking for a classy, beach experience, this is just not it. Spend $20-30 more and just get a completly upgraded hotel altogether. You has as matter well stay in the Days Inn or one of the independent hotels in the area which are more reasonably priced and the same outdated infrastructure as this hotel. On a scale of 1-5. This is a 2.

Hotel was right on the beach with its own access! Loved the pool and poolside bar. Food was very good in the restaurant and the waitresses were great. The downside is the location of the hotel for shopping, which was not in walking distance, but a short bus ride away down or up the strip!

The hotel was old and falling apart, the rooms smelled like a combination of mold and bleach, the staff was rude and had no customer service. Even the continental breakfast was terrible. Never would recommend the hotel. Tried to check out early and could not get my money back. Only advantage is its location on Miami Beach

Paid for the hotel on the phone. made sure to gt an ocean view, got to the hotel and come to find out they said i only booked a standard room, i was so angry i didnt get what i paid for. overall nice hotel.

It 's a good place to rest for few days w/family, a very quiet place, the room should have a litle more comfort mainly the matress and pillows, the floor of the pool need little repair& if you reinstal the mini golf that used to be next to pool years ago, would be another amenity for guest.

i stayed in this hotel 35 years ago... so if ur looking for something modern this aint it... however well maintained and very friendly staff and beach front property without all the extra charges makes this hotel a value
