Santa Barbara Inn - سانتا باربارا

Staff were very helpful for out-of-towners. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast room had great views of the water. Highly recommended!

This is one of my favorite places to stay when visiting SB. However, I do wish there was more opportunity for requesting specific rooms and actually receiving them. There is a favorite room there and each time I've stayed since then, I've requested it and NEVER got it..

this hotel is on the beach fron and a walk (10 mins) to State street. complenetary wi-fi and coffee in lobby was awesome. continental breakfast was perfect for me. Best value I've had in Santabarbara.

From the moment we arrived from the valet to the front desk it was like seeing old friends. Every effort was made to learn my name and to ensure that we knew where everything was to make our stay a comfortable one. The hotel is not snooty posh but if you want great treatment and a fabulous location, then the Santa Barbara Inn is the place.

Beautiful location right on the beach. It satisied all of ours needs and the staff at reception were very helful. Only dowfall it did not have a restaurant for dinner but the staff were helpful with suggestions.

Totally enjoyed our stay at the Santa Barbara Inn. We felt extremely comfortable from beginning to end! The bed was more than comfortable with the down comforter and went to sleep to the sound of the waves from the Pacific Ocean. Great breakfast overlooking the ocean and pleasant and helpful staff. Could not be more satisfied and would definitely book again!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been longer. The location is amazing with fairly close proximity to State Street and across the street from the beach. I might consider the upgrade to an ocean view room if one were available. The bed was very comfortable (I wanted to keep a pillow). This hotel is a cool place to stay, it has a lot of personality, and once you're over the sticker shock of how much hotels cost in Santa Barbara, I think this one is worth it.

The price was way too high for a place so old and musty.

It's all about that. The front desk was helpful when asked and pushed for answers but I have ot say, kinda lame referrals and often wrong info! And by 6am, we shouldnt have to ASK for them to start coffee when it's part of the appeal. Once made, good coffee. Breakfast was good with decent choices. However, they really need to offer some fat free milk and maybe boiled eggs? But gosh the room was nice and the view! SWEET!

Really Nice hotel with great view and walking distance to pier. Awesome breakfast included in room price, but make to ask for see view else you'll be overlooking the valet car park! Would definitely come back :-)

The inn was fine; not a great deal (price), but good location.

The hotel is Old, but with some updates. The lobby and hallways are beautifully decorated for the holidays and the amenities in the public areas are nice, but once you get into the room, you can tell it's a very old place. The first thing noticeable is the smell of old walls, and ceilings. The carpet is old and worn, a few stains, but clean. The heating unit was noisey. Bathroom tile had been updated, toiletries were nice. The furniture and decor was updated, nice large flat screen TV, and beds were comfortable, the pillows were feather std size - and only 2 per bed. We had a beautiful ground floor view of the pool area and the ocean. The staff was wonderful and friendly. Valet parking was very reasonable. Continenetal Breakfast was baked goods, hot and cold cereal, juice, fruit, coffee, tea, etc. - plentiful. Nice view of the ocean from the dining room upstairs. The only reason I would stay somewhere else is that I'm sensitive to the old musty smell, though it didn't seem to bother my friend that much.

On the first night I smelled mold in the bathroom. On the 2nd night it woke me up choaking at 5AM. I told the morning manager right away and he assured me the property manager would make it right. That was Sunday morning - today is Tuesday and still no word. I couldn't find the source of the mold but suspected it was in the bathroom ceiling where the fan ran but pulled no air through the room. I was so disappointed having stayed with them a few years ago and looking forward to coming back. The rest of the stay was delightful - as were the staff. But management needs to step up and make good for a dreadful condition in a room that otherwise was clean and bright.

Located on the beach. Nice clean big rooms with double beds. Did not care much for the free breakfast.

we stayed for one night and it was very nice....staff was friendly we like to comback in summer with other family.

Nothing exciting about this hotel. Valet parking very unecessary plus they charge you for it - there is an easier way to keep beach goers from parking there. Continental breakfast was a joke. Staff was very friendly. Adequate room but was very cold and heater is very old - took forever to heat up. Have stayed in much nicer hotels across from the beach for less money.

On the ocean front, great views, comfortable beds, balcony overlooking the pool and ocean, good shower, friendly, helpful staff!

This hotel offers an excellent location, right across the beach and walking distance (10-15 minutes) to the pier. It needs remodelling, something that we were told is planned for next year. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel with large rooms, marble bathrooms, down pillows and comfortable beds. It's right across from the ocean in a very convenient location.

This hotel is a great spot just on the location alone. Its directly across from the ocean and only about a mile from State Street. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating and free breakfast is provided each day, a nice perk. The room itself had a nice balcony but was otherwise a little stuffy and there were things like peeling wallpaper and chipped/damaged tiles in bathroom. But the room itself was clean so I could let the wallpaper go. Pool isn't the nicest but again, location location location.

The staff was not welcoming , knew how to say no to several requests , carpet not very clean way overpriced for what you receive good location.

The hotel is in a great location, right across the road from the beach and the trolley bus (a bargain at 25 cents to State Street!) stops right outside the hotel. The front desk staff are wonderfuly friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations, directions etc. Complimentary breakfast was plentiful, above average and served in a large room overlooking the beach. There are no coffee making facilities in the rooms but coffee and fresh fruit is available 24/7 in reception. Personally I would have preferred it in-room, so I could have a coffee in the morning without getting dressed and going downstairs, but it was no big deal. The pool area is quite small and doesn't have many loungers so space is quite limited. There is also a large sun-deck on the roof, but bizarrely it doesn't have any loungers, just a couple of tables and some chairs, it would make a perfect quiet sunbathing area (perhaps adults-only?) away from the kids splashing-around in the pool. We have stayed in Santa barbara several times and would definitely return to this hotel. It is friendly, convenient, clean and compared to other hotels in Santa Barbara it is very good value.

The proximity to the beautiful beaches is outstanding. If you have kids, the most wonderful zoo is within walking distance. There is also a trolly you can catch to the downtown area for restaurants, bars and shopping. The "only" down fall was the busy street out front, but it was not a nuisance.

Upon entering the airy reception lobby, I felt like I should have been issued a martini, like Frank Sinatra may have just walked through ahead of me. While kept up nicely and well appointed, it felt like I was transported to a simpler time, another era. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. They offered many great suggestions about restaurants and things to do. The rooms were very comfortable, even without air conditioning. The breezes off the water and the mountains kept everything light and cool. The location was just perfect - literally steps from the beach. We had lovely ocean views from the restaurant every morning, where we had a simple breakfast, included with room fee. The pool area and upper sun deck were clean and well-maintained, and not ever crowded. All in all, a very lovely stay. We'll be visiting again.

I have never been asked to pay guest parking at any hotel. If I didn't pay where should I park? On the street? If this hotel charges parking they should include it in the price. Bad business practice.

Got a two-queen room which was enormous, very comfy size-wise with two kids, however you wouldn't want them touching the carpet with any part of their bodies. Halls and common areas are okay but dated. Room carpet was on the edge of disgusting. I understand a major remodel is planned. Bathrooms are conventional 70's style. Beds were comfortable, nice-enough free breakfast and FREE BOTTLED WATER IN THE ROOM! I love them for that alone.

Beautiful room, friendly accomodating front desk staff, excellent free breakfast---carpet needed cleaning and/or replacing. Pool noise was loud for too long and road noise was also unfortunate.

Our only dissapointment with our accommodations was that our room was at the back of the hotel. There was some minor construction noise, we had a "great view" of an electrical/ telephone pole and lines, a great view of the parking lot dumpster and surrounding buildings. The staff was very polite and gracious. Overall our stay was pleasant and will keep this hotel in mind for future visits to Santa Barbara, but definately allow enough time when making reservations to ensure ocean view room!!

Great location in that is is right across the street from the beach and next to some pretty expensive properties at only a fraction of the cost. Staff was very friendly; typical continental breakfast with great view of the Pacific. Older hotel with some art deco decor. Would definitely stay here again. Unfortunately, not walking distance to State Street or downtown SB.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. I had read a couple of harsh reviews and was a little worried about our stay. My fears were totally unfounded. My husband attended a conference at the Fess Parker Hotel next door and we opted for the more affordable Santa Barbara Inn. Our room was clean and the bed was so comfy. The breakfast was good and filling, fresh coffee, muffins, toast, fruit, juice...what more do you want for free? Staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I have already recommended this place to my friends and would stay again tomorrow if I only could.
