DoubleTree by Hilton San Francisco Airport - برلينجام

I loved the bay access but would just return to the Embassy or Red roof if I want cheaper as this place is terribly stingy and un accommodating in addition to charging for everything and ANY thing, I regret that I did not just book at the Embassy again where in the past was welcomed and found them to be with much more professional treatment of their patrons and is more relaxed closer to the water access.

Very comfortable and clean room. However, they charge you for wifi in the room which is strange because many other cheaper, less nice hotels do not charge for this.

this hotel had an overall smell of mildew in the rooms, i asked to move to another room and when i finally got into the next room it was just the same. I would have left but it was the end of the day and was exhausted. I think this hotel has perhaps had a flood and never did the appropriate repairs.

if only there was a spa and sauna, swimming pool. Then it would be perfect for us where ever we go.

Other than not getting FREE internet it was a good stay. I keep forgetting that I stopped staying at Hilton Hotels because they charge for Internet. I miss-read the Hotels dot com advertisement and thought Complimentary Internet was included in my stay. I'll avoid Hilton's when I can until they change this.

$20 per night for parking outside with a lot of space is too much in my opinion. Also wi-fi should be a no charge service.

All rooms needs fridge. Service is great and staff.

This is a nice-for-airport area hotel, but they charge an extra $20 for parking. I think Hotels.com should have told me of this charge before a booked the room.

Overall, the Doubletree was a nice hotel. There was a bit of confusion upon check in as I had booked two rooms; one under our name and one under my sons name. They were not able to find my son's reservation at first but after about 10 minutes of looking found it. The furnishings are bit outdated but the staff was congenial and efficient.

I hate paying for parking when already paying for room!!!

1 night stay was OK. Shuttle service was great, including shuttle to airport for the train downtown was great also. will stay again in my travels. thanks

The hotel was absolutely great. The fact that you have to pay for parking and internet is a downside to me but other than that the hotel itself was excellent. The rest of the trip through hotels.com was a disaster and that is an understatement!!!!!

Room and hotel were great. However, we didn't have hot water in our room for 2 days! When I complained about it, they told me I wasn't using the facet right. Which was not true. Also the food at the restaurant was very expensive

It was a great stay, very clean.

My stay was in Nov 2012, chose to stay here for a week as I had business in San Francisco and in San Jose. I should have stayed at the Hampton Inn around the block ! All the hotels in the neighbourhood enjoy easy access to the beach park and good road links with of course shuttle service to/from SFO. The Doubletree is overpriced and then they try and fleece you even more when you are there. Had to request a fridge to be brought to room which they did but if a guest us staying for a week then they should give a room with some basics in it. They tried to charge $20 a night for parking when every car park in the area is free, opposite the Doubletree is public beach parking. What annoyed me is when I asked a direct question to the receptionist about parking she was quite sure that my only option was to pay Doubletree $20 a night. no mention of parking in the public beach spots or parking anywhere else. Save your pennies and book in to the Hampton Inn which might not be as swanky but has free parking and a Benihana across the road.

When I booked our room I asked for a view of the water,had to remind them of my request, the room we were given was not up to our standards, returned to the front desk and was given a better room. Overall our stay was satisfactory.

While the breakfast buffet was good it was overpriced. Plus parking and wi-fi cost extra. We wanted to stay in that area to be close to family and this was one of the few hotels that allowed 2 adults and 3 children in one room.

I had a quick overnight at the SFO airport, and chose the DoubleTree out of a plethora of airport hotels, primarily because of the bad reviews on some other nearby hotels shuttle services with long waits. The DoubleTree shuttle arrived within 10 minutes (supposedly runs every 15 minutes) and provided prompt service on the return to the airport as well at 4am the next morning. The hotel itself is an older building which has been updated in recent years. Most of the updating has been done very well, and provides an attractive environment and good value ofr the money. Oddly, there remain a few odds and ends in the room (a seemingly 1970's ceiling light fixture, popcorn ceiling texture, ancient towel hook for example) which would have been very easy to update and are relatively minor compared to the otherwise extensive and attractive upgrading. Although minor and not really affecting the quality of the stay, It's a bit baffling why these obvious and relatively minor things were seemingly overlooked. In summary, it's a nice stay at a reasonable price, with good shuttle service that is worthy of recommendation.

The hotel was great and the staff was great. The only thing they need to improve on is the restaurant, limited food and it wasn't that great.

We came in for the weekend after flying into Oakland. It would have been nice to have a pool. It would have been nice to have had the Bay View without having to request it. But all in all it was cozy and clean. We had no other issues.

I stayed here for 3 nights - the first two nights the fire alarm went off once at 11:00 PM and once at 1 AM. We evacuated to the lobby and it was chaotic. My keys to my room and to get out of the gate never worked. Finally the last night the keys worked and the fire alarm did not go off. Some of the staff seemed indifferent but there was one guy who was extremely sympathetic and helpful - he gave me vouchers for all the trouble I went through.

sound proofing of the side of hotel facing the airport particularly the windows needs upgrade. The windows rattles alot during aircraft takeoffs.

My stay at the Doubletree SFO airport was fine, until the Hotel Shuttle driver dropped me off at the wrong gate at the airport, making me walk a very long distance carrying all my bags to get to my terminal. I just barely made my flight, but the shuttle driver needs to pay better attention, especially at 5:30 in the morning
