John Ascuagas Nugget - سباركس

The room was nice and very clean, however the restaurants were horrible. Sunday evening we chose to go to The Oyster Bar, where we got the "bum's rush" and treated horribly! The following monring, we went to Rosie's and the exact same thing happened, however this time we sat there for close to an hour with empty coffee cups! Will have to reconsider staying at the Nugget next time I visit Reno.....

This hotel was right off the freeway and was in a good neighborhood. It was in Sparks, NV which is only a few minutes drive to downtown Reno on the freeway. (The location is much better than downtown Reno which seems to have a lot of homeless wandering the streets.) The hotel was nice and I enjoyed the Bingo palor ( I won on my first game!) The rooms were ok. The bed was a little uncomfortable, the tv was small and there was no coffee maker in the room. Overall, this is a very nice place to stay.

For a Friday night stay the price was ok but for another 20 I should have stayed somewhere else. The room was horrible. The bed had a crushed velvet comforter and it was clearly never cleaned. I can't even find the words to discribe the wall paper nightmare. The staff was very nice. Truly the best part of the place.

Perfect except for dining. Restaurants were not open during the week except for 1 mexican

We had a great stay at the Nugget. We hadn't been to Reno in five years but in the past the Nugget was the place we stayed. It was a great as I remember with awesome service and a nice comfortable, clean room. The buffet they have Thursday - Sunday is a must if you are there during that time. The food is fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. It is one of our favorite places to eat. This hotel always provides top quality for it's guests.

When I first arrived at this hotel to check in I was told that the original room that I had reserved (and paid for) was not available unless I was willing to take a "pet friendly" room. Not wanting to take my chances with fleas and pet accidents I told them to change me to anything that was non-smoking and not pet friendly. The room that I received was very dirty and stank of cigarettes. The blankets on the beds looked like they hadn't been washed in a year and the pillows had yellow rings all over them. I purchased this room through hotels.com so was kind of stuck with my purchase, so I ended up going to a store nearby and buying a blanket to use during my stay. As for the disgusting pillow I just put towels on top and slept on those. After a few nights in this room I couldn't take it anymore and went home one day early, missing part of my conference and forfeiting my money for the last night. If you do decide to stay at this hotel some things you may want to know: (1) No in-room fridge - If you think that you may want to keep some snacks or cold drinks in your room I suggest bringing a cooler. The tiny ice bucket they give you will not be enough. (2) No in-room safe - Bring a vehicle with a trunk so that you can lock up laptops, etc. (3) $4 surcharge to use hotel ATM - Stop at the bank before you get here. Hope this information helps!

Very clean rooms and hotel.lots of amenities, very good service, with professional and friendly staff. good variety of quality restaurants, quiet, mature and comfortable atmosphere.

I LOVE staying at the Nugget. the room is always clean, the service is excellent, and the pool is a must visit as well. I am not a gambler, but I enjoyed playing and I Won! I live an hour away and I come to the Nugget every chance I get. Wish it had a continental breakfast, but it can't have everything.

We would definitely stay here again. Every employee we encountered was outstanding. They were courteous, kind and professional.

enjoyed the hotel but there isn't a coffee pot. having to walk downstairs to the starbucks at 5:30 every morning was not enjoyable.

Hotel service was poor. From booking to check-out, I was disappointed. I found the prices on Wednesday, but by the time I booked the room on Thursday, the pricing had doubled. The lady checking us in forgot to give me my "coupon" for free wi-fi access. The hotel room was dirty, including a pile of pretzels under a night stand that they failed to clean-up through a 2 night stay. The hotel entrance is hard to find, without clear signs or direction. The surrounding neighborhood was dirty, though somewhat "historic." Will not stay again, especially at the rates paid. Do not recommend.

We usually avoid the big casino hotels, but we would definately come back to the Nugget. Parking was convenient with our big truck, check in was fast and the room was very nice. Especially liked that fact the the entire floor of the hotel was non-smoking, so no nasty smelling hallways. For the low mid-week rate, it was a great bargain.

I arrived late and had to leave on a very early flight. So I really didn't use any of the amenities. The bed and pillows were very comfy. I did use the hotel shuttle to the airport and it was on time and very helpful. I would stay here again. Also the price was outstanding.

very pleased!

Our stay was OK. Listed below are the items I was not satisfied with: 1- the TV remote was very difficult to operate, 2-the bathroom sink drain plug was faulty, and 3-we reserved a room with one king sized bed and were given one with 2 full sized beds.

J.A. Nuggett is a fine place to stay in Sparks. There are nice restaurants both within and adjacent to the property. Nice casino and a super friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Many complaints about the trains and interstate highway on each side, but it didn't bother me. I like trains! The property is is little ways from the other casinos in Reno, but as far as quality, it ranks right at the top with the best of them.

Our stay at the casino was as nice as we anticipated. We had a group of seven and stayed in three separate rooms. All adults in our group wanting to get away from it all and wanting to avoid the construction mess in Reno without being too far from the city itself. We booked our stay for two nights and ended up staying for a third night to take in a show in Reno. Overall the hotel was rated correctly through hotels.com, however we noted a few things we did not expect in the beginning that we decided we could overlook this time. When we checked in, they were going to give us all smoking rooms and we specifically ordered one of the three rooms as NON smoking for the person in our party who carried oxygen tanks. That is when we learned our party of seven was going to be on different floors. It wasn't until we got to the rooms that we found that the rooms we booked with king sized beds turned out to be two queen beds. We did not complain because we did not want to switch rooms at the last minute. We took the rooms we got and it turned out that the beds were comfortable enough to suit our needs. We would go again with some minor changes to our rooms next time.

This was a bad location for a hotel! It is at the end of an airport runway and sandwiched between an industrial railroad train yard and a 6 lane freeway! The elevators were also loud. No rest at all. I would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone!

We stayed in the East Tower on the 5th floor. I asked for somethign close to the pool. They told me usually they charge an extra $10 but waived it for me, so that was nice. We had two kids with us ages 3 and 5. They liked the pool, but it was not as warm as I would have expected. The little tubs along the pool wee also pretty cold, but we got used to it and had fun in the pool. The room was very nice. Everything was very modern and the beds were soft. We only stayed one night, but prefer this hotel over the ones in downtown Reno.

If the hotel says yes to anything you ask be wary since they are not gonna fulfil it. I asked twice if the airport shuttle could take me to the airport at 4 AM and they said yes. Obviously at 4 AM I had to take a taxi and they did not care at all.

The room was very clean, The food was great

we stayed in a jr suite. lots of room but no couch, plenty of useless chairs. jacuzzi tub was malfunctioning. whole hotel needs big renovation. flowered wallpaper and old pink bedspreads. the hotel should be way cheaper if its going to be this out-dated. staff was friendly, food was pretty good. very smoky in casino area which i didn't like for my baby. but hey, this is reno.

Good restaurants and atmosphere, this will be my go-to hotel for Reno from now on.Thanks.

The hotel was very nice and being a resort/casino, it offered a large variety of activities and restaraunts. Bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet.

Great hotel. Beautiful indoor pool.

You cant aske for a nicer bunch of people employees/Staff were awesome food was really good and the NUGGETT is located centraly between reno & sparks. If you get a chance stay and play . Pool was really nice for the kids and a GREAT arcade was well located.. We had to endure some roudy night time guests not the hotels problem.

No A/C in the room. I called the front desk twice to get it working but it never did get fixed. We had three romms total and none of them seemed to have A/C so maybe they are turning off the A/C intentionally?

Overall thought the stay was really good but when you book through hotel.com a rate that includes a FULL COOK BREAKFAST but does not provide this then you cannot recommend this hotel. You cannot get a full cooked breakfast for $3.99 which is all they allow in the hotel. Minimum cooked breakdast is 7.95 MINIMUM. Hotel. com still includes this on their website even after I have queried three times????

Recepticals are not easily accessible, mpstly alrrafy in use. Wi-fi os expensive.
