nice breakfast, well presented and includes waffles and eggs. comfortable beds front room of suites could use more lights - kinda dark. friendly, professional staff. a very good hotel.

The only complaint we had about our stay was the noise from the neighboring room. There were a couple of kids jumping around and making loud noises the minute they arrived until the late hours and again the next morning until we left the hotel.

The hotel is best that i ever been to and i will always come to stay with this hotel any where in world . I was there with my family for two nights and they proved to me and my family that they really the best among all the hotels around that Area .Like i said i was there from 4/6 -- 4/8 .best of all

Great hotel, especially for the price. They give you free breakfast (but I didn't take advantage of it) and have ice lemon water in the lobby at all times. The staff is very accommodating and polite. Rooms are clean and the bed is pretty comfortable! My only complaint is that I should have put my DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door because the housekeeping people come non-stop! Even when you shout "Please come back later!" they don't seem to listen.

I stayed 2 nights at the Country Inn & Suites. I booked a king suite but was not aware the rooms did not have a full kitchen. The bathtub and "clean towels" had hair in them. I could hear the traffic from Mira Mesa Blvd at ALL hours of the day, before 8:30 a.m. and after 7 p.m. I was in room 316 and it sounded as if my windows were open. I was also awakend by the person in the room next door as I could hear them snoring. Although the location was good, I would NOT recommend staying here if you want a quite room, need a full kitchen, and want a good night's rest.

The hoet is nice, clean, friendly, with good breakfast and afternoon cookies. It is all that you are looking for in a hotel.

Free parking and free breakfast. What else is there to say. I stay in San Diego a lot, and everyone charges for parking, so its nice to stay a place that doesn't. Less than 5 min from beach and close to major highways to get you anywhere in So Cal. Im already planning a trip back this summer.

The staff for most part was freindly except one woman who was quite rude to my wife when she locked herself out of our room. The hotel bar was open Friday but they closed it on weekend nights! Luckily there was a Chili's within walking distance but it was extremely crowded and loud. This hotel is well off the beaten path so there was nothing else nearby. Great breakfast though.

We really enjoyed our stay, a very comfortable bed and a nice room. We enjoyed the great breakfast and the wonderful service at the hotel. It felt like "home" to us and we would stay at a Comfort Inn and Suites another time. It is nice to be comfortable when you are in transit and away from your own home. Thank you!

This is a great hotel with comfortable access to UCSD. My visit was mainly for business at UCSD, however I enjoyed staying at this hotel and spending some time to drive around San Diego. The only downside was the stringent gym space which only could be used for not more than three people at once.

Hotel stay was significantly better than anticipated by my spouse and I. Service was excellent, room was comfortable, loved the frre internet access. In conclusion We would gladly stay there again

Went to hotel for a "staycation" - we are from San Diego. Hotel was very clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hot breakfast was really good. Pool was refreshing. Room was spacious and comfortable. Close enough to the Coast to drive there for a nice lunch or dinner or day at the beach. Would definately stay here again!

The staff were wonderful, very courteous and helpful.

This was a well maintain establishment. Staff was very friendly and accommodating for extra towels, blankets ect. The breakfast is quite impressive. We stayed three nights and they had some different selections each morning along with waffles, bagels, toasted bread, yogart, juices, oatmeal, fruit, milk every day! This had to save our party of four over $100 for the 3 days. The first a.m. there was just one employee maintaining the area, cleaning up tables, and restocking things but there was not more than a few minutes wait for this. The second day there were two (Saturday) and the third there were three. Our room was clean as was the hallways ect. 32" flat screen TV. For the price, location close to San Diego it was great. Has a well maintained heated pool and hot tub outside. I rairly take the time to write reviews but this was worth the time.

Our experience at this hotel was outstanding from beginning to end. The front desk staff were gracious and helpful with directions and suggestions for beach activities. The complimentary breakfast has something for everyone. The kitchen staff replenish often and maintain a pristine environment. There is a separate area for business travelers to watch the news and hold business meetings. Our room was perfect families. Two comfortable queen beds with a microwave and frig. The housekeeping department has the best standards I've experienced. The location is right in between Sea World and Lego land with Del Mar and La Jolla beaches just 10 minutes away. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

The staff was very nice but the feel of the hotel was not family oriented. I felt like this would be a good place for someone to stay if they were on a business trip. We were taking a mini family vacation and the atmoshpere was not very comforting.

Short walk to Chili's; long walk to Karl Strauss restaurant. Hotel is obviously well managed with great staff and great breakfast,what is not to like!

The hotel is great. The rooms are clean and nice and smell good :). The breakfast is delicious too. I would go again to this hotel.

It's located in a business park, so you can't beat the location. The rooms are a little dated, but the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was edible, definitely room for improvement, but included the standards: eggs, meat, waffles, cereal. The wireless internet was mediocre. The front desk clerks were top notch and preemptively relocated me when they had a banquet on the floor below me, for which I am very grateful. I've stayed in better hotels for the price, but compared to the other hotels in the immediate area, it was the most economical.

Perfect location for our New Years Eve at the La Jolla Playhouse and Roy's. Short drive to La Jolla beach and a bit longer drive to the airport and downtown SD. Perfect jumping off point for north county, but not too onerous to get downtown. Very quiet, excellent service, comfortable room, and it was ready for us early in the day! Delicious full breakfast buffet in the morning, and they gave us a late checkout! We are always pleased at Country Inn & Suites.

We stayed here during Christmas Holidays. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast was great. Staff was very friendly. We felt really pampered here.

This place is currently undergoing remodels, but our floor was freshly finished. The entire place is great. It's in a convenient and beautiful part of San Diego off of I-805. Upon check-in, we noticed that the place is upscale and quiet. The rooms were large and had extremely comfortable beds with a nice sized flat screen (36", I believe) that is angled towards the bed. Perfect for being lazy in the mornings. The complimentary breakfast is legit. In all honestly, that save $20 in going out for eggs and pancakes. Add it all together and this is one sweet deal.

The hotel has great access to all the freeways. It is in an industrial area but a nice one. Stores and restaurants are only a five minute drive away. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was there the entire time standing by the refill with fresh fruit, milk, etc. The hot tub and pool were clean..the kids loved it! Only concern was that we booked for soccer tournament - they were aware of it but neglected to notify us that the washing facilities were out of order due to a renovation. That was inconvenient. The rooms were clean and good sized.

Great location, excellent service, accomodating staff who are polite and friendly. New rooms on upper floors are really a good deal. Quiet spot near freeways. Highly recommend.

Very nice hotel for the price. Offers all the needed ameneties. We traveled with a 2 year old and they were very accomodating. Would definately stay there again when back in SD. :)

Regular guest at this hotel. Recent changes on the menu are disappointing both in terms of price and quality.

This is a great hotel. The breakfast is amazing, and it is FREE! The staff is very friendly and so accommodating. This is our second time staying here, and we will continue to stay here anytime we are near San Diego.

Service was quick and excellent. Staff was very polite, friendly, and attentive to whatever I requested. At first I expected a near average experience, but this hotel is definitely better than average. The only thing I would complain about is the muffin supply for the continental breakfast. But, the free cookies in the evening made up for some of that :)

Staff is nice. Breakfast is good. Rooms are standard fare for a Carlson property. Elevator is slow. Menu has recently changed in hotel and is more expensive and not as good. Room service fees are high.

This hotel is really beautiful in cleanliness, friendliness of staff, decor and room service. Breakfasts were brilliant, great choices of hot and cold meals. Please note, though, thatt you are far from shopping centres, convenience stores, drug stores and shopping of any kind. The hotel seems to cater for both the business clientele and travellers, as it is situated in the corporate bio and tech area of the city of San Diego. Businesses and companies surround this hotel. Restaurants to eat at night are not close, you will need to drive unless you want to dine in. Prices do appear very reasonable. I would fully recommend this hotel to families, bearing in mind it it is situated quite far from the city and harbourside. With a car, though, the route to downtown is easy!

So easy....free parking, close to freeway, 10 minutes to UCSD. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, the beds comfortable, the updated baths were great. Free breakfast was such an easy way to start the day. I will definitely stay there again.
