We liked this hotel and the price well enough that we extended our stay from two nights to three. It was a great staging location after visiting the Keys to stay before and after stopping at Everglades National Park. For our added day, we went to Biscayne National Park, which wasn‘t too far, but we also went to Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden in Coral Gables, which was quite a drive, but this hotel was still a lot cheaper than those closer to Miami. Ramada Florida City is an older motel-style hotel, but it seemed as if they‘d recently updated the carpet in our room. Breakfast included sausage and scrambled eggs, as well as juice, cereal, waffles, pastries, and yogurt. The breakfast room was small, but never too crowded. The electronic room key was one were you had to touch it too the lock rather than inserting it, and I found it hard to use. The hotel‘s wireless internet service was weak and never did get it to work, but they do have a pc for guest use in the lobby. Finally, if you park on the outside perimeter under a palm tree, make sure there aren‘t any dead fronds that are going to drop because we saw a big one fall.

it was more than what I was expected, clean, confortable. I love the breakfast

Overall it was a positive experience. did not like the pillows at all. room was clean. brkfst was good typical continental. the location was great. centrally located. girl at front desk when we checked out was kinda rude. looked bored and did not smile once. i would rate 2 1/2-3. next time we go will not return there.

Would not stay again. Poor condition of the room. Carpets were filthy. Good location. I'm surprised Ramada allows this property to keep Ramada name because of the poor quality of the rooms.

Perfect location, great service, very nice breakfast. One request: yogurt and bananas should be added to breakfast buffet.

Great value for the money, Good trailer parking spots. Free breakfast was better than most. Staff was very nice. Room was good. Only issue was shower slow to drain but the water pressure and shower head was great.

I will give the desk staff great credit for being very pleasant and very helpful. That aside, this hotel is well past it's prime. I've stayed in many other 2 stars, and while this still might make that category, it is really showing it's age. Cleanliness and comfort were not totally unacceptable, but again, on the low end of the 2 star scale. The carpet was soaking wet and smelled of mildew. The neighborhood is safe enough I would guess, but not pleasant. A few restaurants are within walking distance. The prior ratings for this hotel are too optimistic, I thought. It was on the lower end of the price scale, too, thus I got what I paid for.

Hotel very clean and staff service orienten, the only bad was their WI-FI was overloaded and did not work att all..

I was travelling as 3 adults and 2 children and had booked room as such. On arrival there were only two beds in a small room, reception stated that a rollaway was available for extra $20 eventually they agreed that as it was booked as stated no payment was needed. They also stated that booking companies should not offer rooms for more than 4 persons. Once the rollaway was in place had to squeeze out of door as bed was in way. Later several motorcyclists arrived and were staying here but were driving up and down car park and reving up for about hour, not hotels fault but very annoying and spoilt stay. Complementary breakfast adequate but very small amount of tables for number of persons staying. OK for overnight as location near to interstate roads very convenient but be aware that noise etc may be expected.

Filthy, poor maintenance, Lots of mold, terrible aroma, carpets dirty, pool needs cleaning & repair... The location is perfect for anyone going to the Keys. The worst part the staff did not even ask how was the stay. Never again, I'll never stay at Ramada in the USA

Nice hotel for the price

Just a hotel room. Rooms a little tired, but OK for a night. Convenient location for the everglades or Keys. Service was fine, everything clean.

Easy ride to Everglades, East coast, and Keys. Nice breakfast.

This place is OLD !, bugs on the bathroom counter top...

THIS HOTEL IS IN NEED OF AN UPDATE! THE RUGS WERE DISGUSTING! THE EXTERIOR WAS NOT IN GOOD SHAPE EITHER!

Pretty good for the money you pay. Breakfast was nice. Bathroom is dated, exhaust fan did not work. My daughter left her laptop charger in our room, we realized it when we came back home, called hotel ask if they can check for us, got no feedback at all.

Adequate acommodations in a good location. Room clean, comfortable and safe. A few details needing attention: room sink faucet needed repair and breakfast accommodations were cramped. No drinking water was available for breakfast.

I chose this location because it was close to Everglades Nat'l Park where before & after appointments I went birding. S. Florida is known as one of the best birding location in America. Anyway, nothing about this hotel is easy. It is located on Hwy 1 but you have to turn off hwy 1 and make a U-Turn at the Outlet Mall entrance to get to the hotel. This is a very busy intersection so that takes a while. Once there the check in line was lengthy with unhappy customers. One lady took pictures of her room with a crack and a whole in the wall. The best they could do for her was to offer the cleaning crew to come back in and try and clean the room better. My room however, was perfect. I think they must be in the middle of renovation & mine had already been completed. Parking is also a problem, with just enough parking for 1 car per room. Next was service. Beside a very slow check in, the next morning at 6am when breakfast was suppose to be ready, it was not. This forced the front desk to put out the breakfast and she let ALL of us know that she was not happy it. As one said: "I guess I got the time wrong, I thought breakfast started at 6?" Simply bad attitudes for the most of the staff was apparent. The front desk morning staff were great when I needed a little later check out as I had a flat tire and was delayed in getting back to the hotel after birding. I would probably NOT stay at this hotel again due to the poor attitude of many of the support staff.

The neighborhood is questionable, the room was clean, the girl (Mersades)at the desk knew where we were when we were lost like 30 miles away that was awesome!

A good room for the one night that we stayed there. Had to be careful of toilet paper and tissue usage as the room did not have any extras. A small TV menu and a surprisingly limited amount of parking...if the hotel is full, good luck finding a close spot. The breakfast in the morning was VERY popular and it was tough finding a place to sit down in the lobby area. A funky walkway in front of all the ground floor rooms (looked like a temporary cover over the cement.......repair upcoming?). Entrance to the hotel is only possible from the NE corner of the intersection so plan accordingly.

This hotel is conveniently located between miami and the keys but that's where the compliments end. It was a disappointing stay. For starters, it felt more like a motel. We were very disappointed given that the reviewer ratings are >3.5. The room smelt like cigarettes combined with cleaning chemicals. The room was cleaned to a minimum (tub had yellow spots and sink area had water/soap runs on the side). There was also A LOT of noise heard from people walking by the room and on the second level. The WIFI also didn't work..

Ok for one night, was quiet room.

Hotel location was great for Everglades, Upper Keys and a day in Miami. Lots of dining and shopping options nearby. Comfortable room with microwave and fridge. Breakfast could be good, but really overcrowded. It felt like a everyone was just trying to get into that tiny space to find that it wasn't very well stocked. Other than the breakfast situation, everything else and all the staff were great.
