Would not stay any where else in the area

I stayed in Sligo Park for one night 11th February 2012. The hotel room was comfortable and spacious. My only issue was that I could not get the shower to work properly. I informed the staff who were more than helpful and saw to it that the shower was fixed.

The hotel rooms have a great view of the mountains and it is a reasonable walk to the town centre.

The hotel was really nice, staff members were extremely friendly and the hotel was reasonably priced. Only negative, it says its a 4 star hotel but really its only a 3 star. It has a lovely longe area with a big open fire. A really cosy, warm hotel to go for a weekend away. I would definately recommend it.

The Sligo Park Hotel is a fair trek on foot outside of Sligo, but can be done. The facilities are good, but they do insist on swimming caps (supplied) in the pool. My biggest concern was I was repeatedly woken up for banging doors throughout the night. Wafer thin doors and walls meant that the doors that kept slamming shut by other guests kept me awake beyond 4am. When this was explained the following morning to the receptionist, no worthwhile apology was put forward. I would never stay here again.

The best fitness complex for the size of hotel EVER! Great 16 meter pool, plunge pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Elliptical and treadmills all worked great, spin bikes, etc. Room service left a bit to be desired, we did not venture out into hotel restaurant so can't comment there. Comfortable rooms, some of hotel did smell of smoke probably from heavy amount in the past. Can't complain. Because it is somewhat of an older feel I would be tempted to check out GlassHouse or others in the area, but my wife and I are athletes and the leisure center worked great, for us. Not amazing, but absolutely NOTHING to complain about. Great experience.

Comfortable clean room with iron, ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities and good sized TV. Plenty of choice at breakfast.

The hotel has a pool which we were anxious to use, but the pool isn't available to a guest unless they use a swim cap. The hotel will sell them if you don't have one. It would be useful if this information were available on Hotels.com when one is booking. The restaurant at the hotel was completely booked until 9:00 so we elected to eat in the bar area. We had plenty of service when we arrived and were about to order, but it took 20 minutes to get our bill so we could pay and leave, and this also included, about 10 minutes into the wait, a trip to the bar to request the bill. To their credit, the bar removed the charge for the two 1/2 pints of beer as compensation for our wait. Although my friend's salad was very good, I wouldn't recommend the curry if you are used to good curry houses.

We stayed one night in this hotel. It was fine but didnt live up to expectations of a 4 star hotel. The bar was nice and the room was clean. Fine for one night.

Internet was slow but the room was ok.

While we were staying at the Sligo Park Hotel one of our children had a medical emergency. The staff immediately called the ambulance and helped us with getting additional transportation so that we could be at the hospital with our son. We were visiting Sligo from another country and really appreciated all the assistance they provided to help us get the medical care he needed as well as help us navigate a medical system we were not familiar with. We would highly recommend the Sligo Park Hotel to anyone who is interested in going to Ireland for holidays.

Overall, very good value.Nice and quiet. Only one suggestion should put more outdoor sitting under the shelters.

Not much to say about this hotel, clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly staff, but plain, older, not like the photos I saw on this website. Still a nice stay and a reasonable price.

Hotel is in a central location but the surroundings are quiet. Hotel was comfortable and clean. staff were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent.

We stayed here with other family members , all of us had small children. The Reception area was roomy for children but a little dated in some areas. Staff were friendly and helpful . The price was good for room only , we didnt include breakfast as it was too expensive . For a good value room with leisure facilitates both the children and adults loved the pool and its facilities so you cant go wrong. Nice walk into town in the afternoon .Could do with a freshening up decoration wise but other than that nice stay.

Top class hotel. It has a small gym, freindly staff,and is located a ten min walk to centre of town.

Lovely freindly staff. The reception area is bright and welcoming. Comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean, flat screen tv. Bar food reasonable price. Very pleasant stay all round.

The staff at the Sligo Park Hotel was friendly and helplul. We got a great value for the money. The hotel is not in the downtown area but it is only a 5 minute drive to the city center. We were able to walk to the nearby stadium for a Gaelic football game.

I was a bit skeptical about staying here but it was a really nice hotel. I thought it deserved a better rating and I would have liked to have been able to stay longer. They gym and pool were very nice but I didn't get to use the facilities.

Given a smoking room ,when non smoking was booked., room changed begrudgingly. Carpets in next room very badly stained, bathroom not very clean, shower not working properly. Outside areas used by smokers and cigarrette butts everywhere, pot plants being used as ashtrays and bins overflowing. Used by wedding parties so constant noise all night long from returning guests. Overall, a tired hotel which could do with a complete refurb; not 4star.

We booked this room for a night away and were looking forward to it very much. The pool in the hotel was a big draw and didn't disappoint. Its a little dangerous with kids though as the main pool is 1.5m deep throughout with only a small kids area. The staff in the pool were friendly and efficient. In our room we noticed a concierge service which was available "at reception". When I went to reception to investigate, a very rude member of staff informed me that there was no such service. She had a terrible attitude. When a another guest at the hotel backed up my claims the staff member called a colleague over who insisted this service didn't exist. A number of times during the stay, if we walked past staff in the corridor - we would say hello. On a number of occasions the staff completely ignored us. Maybe they did not understand English very well. Then on our departure we witnessed a member of staff being highly rude and offensive towards an elderly American couple regarding their room bill and their dinner bill from the night previous. Just what they thought of the stay in the hotel would be an interesting read. In general the hotel was quite clean although our room was quite antiquated and the door was in poor condition on the inside. Location etc of the hotel etc are quite good but I cannot help but think that the staff need a complete retrain in people skills and general common courtesy.
