The hotel room was very clean and pretty top class for the level of hotel. However the halls and the elevator could use some aesthetic work. The workers were pleasant and understanding. I would dtay there again.

I liked this hotel for the price and location. We decided to come for Thursday and Friday Hab playoff games and only booked Monday. The hotel was the cheapest around and 2 blocks away from the Bell Center. The hotel was nothing special but had friendly staff and nice clean room with new beds. For the amount of time I spend in a hotel on a vacation this was a perfect fit.

But when inside the room I was pleasantly suprised. For the price, can't complain and it's a great location.

Went for a show at Concordia. Perfect location.

Overall, for the price it was top notch and right downtown near all the fun spots

My stay at the quality will be a never again! When I got there, there was dry blood on the sheets and garbage behind the night stand. We got a different room and the sheets for the pull out bed had dry blood on it also! I found that very disgusting especially since I had my 3 month old baby with me! I told the receptionist and she didn't seem to care! The manager was gone for the weekend! I ended up cutting my trip short because I was so turned off!

The only issue was the loud crowds after the bars closed. But not too bad

Our room at your hotel was very very dirty, and it had it's furniture taken out.. So no where to sit. Very disappointed and will not be staying there again

At first I thought it was a bit scetchy due to end of Crescent that it's on and it definitely was for partiers.... however I was pleasantly surprised at everything, it was quiet, very clean, and even a warm breakfast! Recommend

I live in VT, very close to the Canadian border and have spent many days and nights in Montreal, but stayed at the Quality Inn Downtown for the first time a few months ago for a bachelorette party. Although the outside of the building seems slightly 'sketchy', the elevator seemed 'more than sketchy' our room was amazing. We had a great view of the city from our balcony and found the location EXCELLENT for nightlife. Our room was clean and very comfortable, which was not expected based upon the reviews and the exterior views of the building. Parking is also convienent, for a 20$ charge you can leave your car within view of your balcony (which is VERY reasonable for Montreal!). We had such a great stay the first time, just a couple of weeks ago when we had house guests who wanted to explore Montreal, I didn't think twice to book the Quality Inn Downtown again. Both stays we had a group of 4 w/ two double beds and amazing city views from our balcony. Our second room was even better than the first. The location is amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful (one desk clerk even ran out to flag a taxi for us), and the room is clean. Don't let the outside scare you, it's really a gem if you are looking to stay in the hub of the city. Don't be scared to ask for a balcony (you may not get one if you don't).

The room was nice enough, the beds were comfortable and having the couch with a bed was great. The bathroom had a really nice shower. We did have a couple of issues. We couldn't find the heater first in the room and it was cold (but perhaps that was us and when we found it we were find). They were doing work on the building (patios) and there was noise for the first couple of days. Our door key never worked well. First we had to keep getting the cards rekeyed and eventually the desk staff had to let us in with the master key. They finally said the battery in the lock was dead and they would have to wait until Monday when someone could fix it. So they couldn't fix it for us. The location was fabulous though, right next to Catherine Street and Peel. There was lot of construction in the area too and it was a little noisy on Thursday to Saturday nights as there were bars across the street. So perhaps you may just need earplugs (that worked for me). The staff were friendly but it seemed strange that they coudln't fix the lock on the weekend and didn't notify us that they were going to be doing loud work in advance of our stay. The price, beds, rooms, and location were fine.

The hotel has tried to remodel, but never finished, and uses the excuse "we're u der renovation..That's why we can't give you a list of TV channels". Not a friendly place....only one girl was polite. Breakfast lady looked grouchy all 3 days, and kept going outside to smoke. Very noisy place to stay due to bars and nearby construction. Ask for the front or street side if you want to sleep more than just 2:00am -5:00am.

The good- locaion in downtown makes it easy to get around. If you want the nightlife, lots of bars in the area. Rooms are relatively comfortable, and bathrooms are nice, most of the staff was helpful and friendly. The bad- hotel looks a little rundown in the halls, lobby, and elevator areas. Parking is only available in lots around hotel, specifically the one next door-$20 for overnight parking per day. Breakfast is not that great, stick with the yogarts and bread to be safe. Lastly, we reserved with the understanding 2 child cribs would be available, but only got one. Promised to get the second one on night #2 after someone checked out, but never did! Not a good hotel to stay with family/ children.

We should be informed about the constuctions done at the moment in the hotel before booking in the hotel. Therefore the stairs and the loby. Because it might cause so inconvience for some people. One of the staff members was not very appreciate, im thankfull for the other staff having reput

Located downtown right in a tourist location for nightlife. Nice balconies overlooking the city.

No room service, no clean towels, we arrived early for check-in after a 10 hour drive and being up since 3am and they told us to come back at 2 and when we did they told us to come back at 3...they didn't even try to accomodate us any sooner

The hotel room appeared newly updated, and was very comfortable for our family of 5. The location was fantastic for our vacation visit - close to the metro, restaurants, shopping, and cultural venues. I would definitely stay with here with the family again.

Hotel reception is not professional but got the job done. Only thing I like about this hotel is the location and clean room.

If you want to be in the thick of the St. Catherine's St. area & all it off for restaurants, shopping & nightlife cannot get much better at a great price point. Walk 200yds up Crescent St. & your pretty much half way down St. Catherine's St. Slept 6 comfortably in one double queen room with a pull out sofa bed. Hotel maids were friendly & did a good job. The hotel is old, so the paintwork looks "jammy" in areas, the elevators could do with a refit, the door to the balcony was functional, but that's about all you could say about it:-). Front desk staff very helpful. No English language issues. No amenities that we made use of - probably doesn't have many/any anyway.

The location was fantastic however the hotel itself not so much. It is in desperate need of a renovation for both the inside and outside. The temperature outside was in the 30s and the air conditioning did not work and the hotel simply apologized and offered no compensation. If you are reading this - find another hotel.

Very comfortable and close to all downtown events.

hotel lobby was very slippery. the mats that were used to contain water were terrible. staff said they were o order. great place to stay if you are going to the bell centre . for the of the room it was ok

The Quality Inn is very conveniently located in the heart of a one of Montreal's great pub/club/restaurant districts with dozens of nightlife options within a 5 minute walking radius from the hotel. Although it's no "Four Seasons" the hotel itself was recently renovated and the rooms are clean, updated and spacious with all the usual ammenities. The staff is efficient and courteous and the hotel is by far one of the best values in downtown Montreal.

This hotel is very affordable and in a great location. It is literally steps from Saint Catherines street and The Bell Centre! We went to Montreal for a Canadiens' game and also the experience. This hotel was perfect for that! It needed some renovations here and there but the staff was very friendly and helpful! Deffinately a great choice!

The general location of the hotel was good but the actual location was rather sketchy: lots of boarded up windows, garbage, etc. The hotel lobby and elevator were very dated and worn looking. All the surfaces in the room had not been wiped off in a long time. The bath mat was completely soaked and smelled bad. The outer door to the balcony had part of the glass smashed out of it. Overall, it was not at all what I expected.

Great location and room. All the services you need at hand......lobby undergoing renovations? Gives an unpleasant first impression....don't let it fool you! Stay at this hotel!!!!

If your looking to stay on a budget this is a good choice.. However, you have to pay for parking per night, and I didn't like leaving my vehicle keys with the attendant, my vehicle was moved around the parking lot like a chess game, for no apparant reason. No amenaties, no gym, no coffee in the lobby, however there was a coffee maker with tea and coffee in our room and a bar fridge which came in handy. Our room was clean and quiet, the elevator was old and grungy. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I'd stay here again for the money.

This hotel was hilarious. Definitely not the place to bring a family, but a perfect location and atmosphere for a couple nights out with the guys. If you're looking to rip up St. Catherine's street and just need clean sheets and somewhere to shower, this is the place to go.

This is a small to medium sized hotel in the downtown area of Montreal. Just a five minute walk to the Bell Center and right in the middle of a two block area that offers dozens of great bars, clubs and cafes. Hotel was recently remodeled and although stairwells and common areas are "OK" the rooms themselves are very nice, updated, comfortable and clean. It's about as convenient a location as you can get for that part of town and a great price for the value. I can't believe I haven't stayed their during any of my past 100+ visits tom Montreal (my favorite city), but I'll definitely be staying there in the future!

The concierge was very helpful in checking us into our room and even gave us a choice in the floor our room was on. She also gave recommendations of restaurants and other attractions in the area. Another concierge gave us change for the bus. The room was very nice and clean. It looked to be freshly renovated. The bed was comfortable and the room also had a sofa-bed. The location of this restaurant was perfect; close to the train station, malls, and an outdoor music festival.

hotel looked like it was under renovation. No vending machines, ice machine only on lobby floor.

The only thing that I can not be satisfied with is the noise inside and out of the hotel.

The hotel is in appalling ccndition. It is undergoing renovation and not a minute too soon. Location is good.

If you plan to spend time in your hotel room, do not pick this hotel. It is just for sleeping.

Gross hotel. Numerous stains on all carpet surfaces. Black mould in shower. Very old mattresses shaped like a banana. Expensive overnight parking. Disgusting. Do not stay here!
