Hotel staff for most part were polite and helpful. Lobby areas were attractive and quite grand but the changing rooms for the pool were cramped and looked shabby and neglected. Pool itself was nice. The pool table in the games room was set too near to a wall so no space to play shots on one side of the table - annoying. The 'cosy' room we had was adequate, but with one small window was a bit dark - the bed was comfortable. I thought 7 euros for a small glass of wine in the bar pricey, and you'd be hard pushed to find a bottle of wine in the restaurant for under 30 euros, and breakfast at 18 euros? I thought the hotel was pricey but perhaps that's to be expected in a resort like Le Touquet. The hotel is an attractive building with lots of character in an attractive location.

Good room size. Everything you need but slightly characterless accomodation. Some refurbishment would be in order as room a little tired. Mostly homogenised as you would perhaps expect from the large Mercure chain. Nice location away from town centre and over-looking the estuary. Very tranquil. 3 mins drive to town centre. Personally, I rate this hotel better than the Westminster which is a similar rating due to room size and better lay-out of public areas. Hotel lobby quite impressive. Swimming pool good.

A very pleasent hotel, friendly staff. Shame they were referbishing the bar floor durring half term week. No tea & coffee in rooms.

Beautifully situated on the estuary, a little walk from the town centre. We had a comfort room which was fine and bathroom was adequate.

comfortable, spacious room, bathroom needed updating a bit, all linen nice and white. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice, hotel surroundings nice. Nicely furnished public areas and bar.

A good base to stay for the night as only 15mins walk to lovely town centre. Staff were quite aloof and didn't appear very helpful which let the hotel down. Room ok for what we paid but in this day and age I think there should be a kettle in each room.

Shame about the lift - had room near the lift and did not get a wink of sleep due to squeaky lift.

I was looking forward to our stop over stay on the last night of our trip to France as I had booked a superior double room with a balcony at Mecure Grand, the website made the hotel look fab. I was bitterly disappointed. There was no valet parking - cars were parked all over the road at the front of the hotel. The reception staff were rude, arrogant and stroppy. We were then given a disgusting twin bedroom which looked like it hadn't been decorated (or aired) since the 1970's, with two single lumpy looking beds. When I returned to reception to complain I was barely spoken to, just grunted at and given a new key for another room. This room was, whilst strangely decorated, clean and functional - although had no balcony (but I don't think any of the rooms do). The floor and corridor smelt absolutely disgusting - I can't quite describe it - we had to open the windows in the corridor to be able to breathe. They then tried to charge us 17.50 euros each for breakfast, which although it was fairly good, it was not worth 17.50 euros and this price was not advertised anywhere. I refused to pay for breakfast upon check out which the moody receptionist had to get manager approval for but it was quickly accepted that we shouldn't have to pay. This hotel is far too big for its quite smelly boots.

Have stopped here before.Lovely location, but a 15 minute walk to town and seafront.Hotel fine but a little tired, curtain track very tacky and curtains difficult to draw properly, but balcony window on hotel front reccommended for excellent views.No tea/coffee in rooms, as in other Mercure hotels.Overall not bad.

Only issue of concern i had with this hotel was when it came to check-in. Although check in was from 3pm onwards we checked in about 4pm to find our rooms weren't ready. This was a bit frustrating as we were only staying one nigh and wanted to get out and explore. Staff were really friendly and appologetic. Good location away from town centre but within easy walking to shops and restaurents. Room clean and tidy. Looking forward to returning.

very handy situated for the "cente Ville" if you like walking ( about 1 mile from the centre the leisure facilities are very good and open at realisitic hours however, we found the lack of tea making equipment a let down, and the in house breakfast quite expensive

Excellent hotel, but as renovation taking place, banging could be annoying if you stayed in during the day. All in all good though would thoroughly recomment.

Very nice hotel - very good value, though could have done with tea/coffe in the room. Went at Easter and it was a great price for a 4 star hotel considering the facilities - Excellent pool and sauna, though changing facilities were a little basic it didn't matter. Only 10 mins walk to the centre. Very friendly helpful staff. Only stayed one night but would definitely go again for the price and the facilities and hotel quality.

The hotel was fine, it had been renovated to a high standard since my wife and I last stayed there. The breakfast was good too. Thesting was euros 35.90 for two breakfasts and "town tax". I don't think I've ever had such a bid add on.

Impressive hotel and location. Limited car parking. Avoid a 4th floor corner room if you're over 5ft3ins high as it's impossible to stand up in the shower over the bath due to sloping roof. Noisy aircon. Only one chair. TV good.

We have stayed at the Mercure before. It is situated a little bit outside the main area of Le Touquet but in a delightful area near to the northern bay. The reception and portering staff were very helpful and completed check in promptly and with courtesy. The rooms (2) were large and well equipped, only thing missing is tea-making equipment. The rooms themselves were a little tired - in need of redecoration and some modernisation. Bathroom clean, but taps were quite corroded. The breakfast was superb. Best bread selection we've ever seen anywhere plus a great selection of the usual other foods. The best part of the stat was the "late-checkout" on Sundays, which is 3 p.m. - really excellent and allowed us to use the super swimming-pool (lovely and warm) during the day of departure without rushing. All in all a very good experience, we will be back.

Everything about the Mercure Grand promised a relaxing luxury break. Its sweeping view across the Canche estuary; its sometimes eccentric but funky decor; the comfortable rooms; the heated pool and sauna and the pleasant walk through leafy Agatha Chritie-esque suburb to the town's chic centre - so imagine our excitement when we sat down to dine in the expensive hotel restaurant. Anticipation building as I nibbled at my amuse-bouche, I awaited the fillet of beef, only to find something delivered to my table that was absolutely inedible. It may have been beef once, but it had been cooked to the consistency of leather. Bland, tasteless and thoroughly demoralising, it sat and taunted me on my plate. I felt like I had been robbed - and the staff, although polite, did not at any point ask me how my awful meal was - nor even question why I left my main course untouched on the plate. Inedible - and incredible, conidering how good the food is elsewhere in Le Touquet. By all means enjoy the Grand's lovely rooms and spa - but stick to the Cafe des Sports if you want decent food.

Le seule element qui rappele un 4 etoile c'est la taille de la chambre. Trés mal entretenu, placards cassés, fenetre donnat sur les poubelles, lit inconfortable, bref....pas grand chose de positive. ah....le restaurant est bon......

Les choses positives: grande chambre; petit salon; TV écran plat avec grand choix de chaînes, SDB très bien équipée. Grande piscine, sauna et jacuzzi. Restaurant agréable avec finesse des plats. Les chose à améliorer: prix exorbitant du petit déjeuner; un rafraîchissement des chambres ne serait pas inutile (peinture, tissu des fauteuils, éclairage...), lenteur du servie au bar. L'hôtel nous renseigne qu'il aurait été plus intéressant financièrement de réserver sur le site Mercure....?

Cet hôtel souffre d'un entretien insuffisant, et surtout qui ne tient pas compte de sa catégorie ( robinets dépareillés, une porte placard manquante, porte communication entrée:chambre qui n'a visiblement jamais fermé, .....dommage!!!!

Chambre manque d'un petit coup de rénovation au niveau des papiers peints, quelques ampoules ne fonctionnaient pas, la VMC de la salle de bain n'était pas en état de marche (ch.66) établissement très calme près de la superbe baie de la canche, manque un peu de choix au restaurant "le roots" partie commune avec une décoration magnifique un Spa et hammam très agréable, belle piscine, et personnel très acceuillant et a l'écoute

Excellent hôtel très confortable. Excellent service. A recommander.

Chambre supérieure réservée mais pas d'air co, salle de bain très vétuste, garde robes cassée (planches et tringles cassées et donc non utilisables), mini bar vide. Très décevant pour une chambre supérieure d'un 4*.

Beaucoup de bruit

Les parties communes de l'hôtel sont superbes, rien à redire. Malheureusement lorsque l'on entre dans les chambres, la déception est de mise... Si vous n'avez pas la chance d'avoir la superbe vue sur l'estuaire (bien toutes les voitures des clients soient garés pèle mêle devant l'entrée de l'hôtel), vous serez content de voir une barre de logements à une vingtaine de mètres de votre fenêtre. L'entretien laisse à désirer (moquette tachée, baignoire fissurée en plusieurs points,...), surtout sur les murs : un tableau a été retiré dans notre chambre avant notre arrivée, la trace y est plus que net... Pour compléter le tout : une fuite dans le faux plafond de la salle de bain, d'abord un petit goutte à goutte mais Surprise à 9h (heure de la douche de la chambre du dessus?) le lendemain, c'est un flux continu qui s'écoule de l'ampoule de la salle de bain !! Au delà du réveil désagréable, l'électrocution ne fait pas rêver... La réception s'est contenté de nous répondre qu'ils ne pouvaient pas nous changer de chambre car l'hôtel était plein, ils se sont contentés de nous envoyer de nouveaux tapis de bain... Nous avons été scandalisé par ces conditions, d'autant que la veille nous étions au Best Western Hermitage de Montreuil-sur-mer (25min plus au Sud) en 3étoiles, où nous avons eu droit à une chambre bien plus grande, bien plus propre et entretenu de même que l'ensemble de ce très bel hôtel... Si l'on ne peut plus se fier aux étoiles !! En ce qui concerne la situation, une voiture ou un vélo restent nécessaire pour se rendre à la plage ou au centre-ville. En revanche très bonne expérience au restaurant de l'hôtel, onéreux mais délicieux, la présence d'un second restaurant "snack" permet d'alléger la note certains soirs pour des séjours prolongés.

Bon accueil, piscine intérieur super, salon-bar très agréable,chambre très propre mais style un peu vieillot, excellents petits-déjeuners!!

Très grande déception pour cet hôtel. Décoration très particulière, mobilier très abîmé, peintures défraîchies et bruit des travaux à 8h du matin ne donnent pas envie d'y retourner! Un bon accueil et un bon petit déjeuner ont pu "sauver" le séjour.

la chambre dite supérieure avec vue sur baie est très décevante du point de vue de la décoration très vieillotte avec des imprimés fleurs couleurs délavées la salle de bain : état très moyen : un éclat dans la baignoire et globalement vétuste point positif : très bonne literie et la grande piscine

Jeune couple partant en week-end à Le Touquet. Hôtel de charme, beau panorama, bonne situation géographique (à 5 min du centre ville), accueil chaleureux. Chambre spacieuse, propre. Accès Piscine et Spa agréable. Bon rapport qualité/ prix. Ccl: Séjour plus qu'agréable et hôtel à conseiller!!! Juste quelques remarques: -où sont les prises de courant dans la sdb?? -joints de la baignoire légèrement moisi. -petits déjeuners trop chers pour nos moyens.
