Crowne Plaze is conveniently located only minutes away from the Texas Medical Center or Reliant Stadium, and easy to find on the 610 Loop at Kirby. There are a lot of rooms, so they are rarely completely booked, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Good choice for business or leisure.

Housekeeping had not cleaned my room at 5PM.

Maintenance and condition of the hotel are poor. I had a client meet me there for breakfast and frankly was embarrased. Great location within Houston but you definitely don't want to be outside the hotel after dark. Pleasantly happy my car was still there in the morning. Breakfast buffet food was cold at 9am! Hotel room door would not even shut securely! Will not stay there again which is a shame because the staff were so friendly. I'm not sure how this hotel stays open.

We were older part of building...we weren`t the only ones having difficulty finding our room...everyone that went to front desk to get help, got a rude response....bathroom was in need of do-over...on the upside...the lounge with restaurant was really nice, service was excellent along with the food. General staff was friendly, except for the people at the front desk.

Room was very old. Beds are TOO soft. No coffee was left for the following morning.

Employees were not helpful or very courteous to customers. The ceiling of the room was dripping with water. Coffee pot shouldn't be located in the bathroom and tv was outdated.

Mattresses were awful, you could actually see the poor condition when you opened the door from across the room..

We had so much fun. All the hotel staff made it an extremely enjoyable stay. Will definitely be back and recommend this hotel to others.

Security guards in parking lot very rude. First got a scary, dark, small, old room with terrible interstate traffic noise. I requested a room in the tower and they moved me immediately. I'm not sure why they didn't put me there in the first place...much nicer room. I ate in the restaurant in the lobby and was not impressed. Food was average, very salty. Server was hard to understand (broken English) and overcharged me for my salad. Once I pointed it out, he changed it. It wasn't a bad drive into downtown, and the stay wasn't terrible, but it certainly would not be my first pick if there were other options.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel because I have stayed at other crown plaza hotels and found them nice, clean and great service. I was very disappointed and embrassed that I selected this hotel. The hotel looks like a throw back to the seventies and the service was bad. 1st I ordered room service only half of our dinner arrived and no dressing for the salad ever showed up after asking for it twice and after an hour and a half we finally ate our cold dinner and salad. The next morning we went to breakfast. We had to get our own coffee and waited over thrifty minutes to be waited on. We put the coffee pot on our table because no one was serving us and they took it a way and tried to make a joke out of it. Twice we had to retrieve our own coffee and the breakfast on the bar was cold. We paid well over what we would notmally and iit was the worse stay in a hotel I have ever had. I would not recommend this hotel to any one.

The location of this hotel is great for Reliant Stadium events, such as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Parking is a nightmare in this area, so staying at the hotel solves that problem. The halls of the hotel are old and need to be renovated, but our room was surprisingly clean. The beds were soooooo comfortable.

What a nightmare. Partly due to Rodeo but also incompetent staff. Booked hotel based on its description of being 2.3 miles from the Med Center. I was visiting a relative at MD Anderson and wanted to be close. However, at 10:00pm, when leaving the hospital, it took 40 minutes to get past those 2.3 miles due to rodeo traffic and detours. Hotels.com and/or the hotel at reservation time should have advised about major events that could create traffic jams. This should not be listed on a search for Med Center hotels. Once at the hotel, had to go through security guards to get to main lobby. Check-in staff was slow, probably charged me twice for all I know (no bill yet) and couldn't even give me good directions to my room. They could tell me I was in bldg 6 but didn't know where...bldg 6 is a big building at the back of the property. then the nightmare of finding parking. First had to pass mean security guard who wouldn't let my sister follow us to our room to drop off my mom. Then we found out the hotel had so intelligently leased out parking spaces for rodeo guests leaving nothing for hotel guests. We drove around forever and finally found a spot that wasn't even a real space. After complaining to mgmt I was told no one would be towed (how nice)...rodeo guests parked where they weren't supposed to. I was told it would be better at 11:00pm. Not helpful after a day at MD Anderson. Then into the dirty hotel and broken elevators. Every guest I passed was upset with parking, room quality, cleanliness of the hotel. It was very depressing. I would not recommend this hotel to a single person.

The hotel is pretty old and run down. Service was marginal and one day my room was not serviced. The only redeeming quality is the convenience to Reliant Center which is a huge plus.

walking distance to Reliant events..hotel is in great shape and the room was clean and comfortable..will stay here again!!

I booked this hotel 2 days ahead and upon arrival I had to wait at the counter for an hour because my reservation was not registered in their system. When I was assigned a room I was really lost for words that I was assigned a room at the very back of the hotel in the overflow section about 200 yards from the main lobby. This part of the hotel was old, dated and smelled horrible. To my surprise when I entered the room NO ONE HAD CLEANED it and it was four o'clock in the afternoon. I called the front lobby and they transferred me to the housekeeping department. I was informed to return to the front desk and I would be assigned anoter room. So I loaded my luggage back in the car and returned to the front desk. Due to the amount of time it had taken for me to get settled in a proper room, the clerk issued me a room inside the main hotel. The room was clean but to my surprise after returning from a late dinner with family, the air wasn't blowing properly. I was tired from a long day of traveling and dinner so i just tolerated the heat. I must say I will never stay at this hotel again. If i'm going to receive 2 star service I might as well spend money at a 2 star motel.

The rooms belonged to a two star hotel. Closet rods were rusted, No shampoo in room, wireless internet didnt work in the room - signal was too weak. I had to use the wireless in the lobby, the lines at the front desk were huge.. There was plenty of staff - but the lines looked like las vegas hotel lines

First, the hotel is nice. It does need some more TLC but overall a pretty hotel for the price. The staff professionalism and competence however was atrocious. I was overcharged which should have been easy enough to fix. The problem came when it was not fixed in a timely manner. Instead, they proceed to supply me with a second bill that included room charges from the bar I did not visit. When I brought it to their attention, the front desk clerk assured me it would be fixed. It was not, for a second time. Then, I had the hotel manager tell me that I needed to learn how the hotel bills their clients because clearly I had not been charged as I thought. He was wrong and had to call my credit card company to reverse the authorized charge. Third issue was with the hotel restaurant service. It was awkward and for the caliper of hotel starring, was nowhere near what it should have been. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel if you are used to 3-4 star hotels and travel a lot as I do. I was very disappointed.

I got a great deal on a clean, comfortible room at a prime location near (accross the street) Reliant Stadium!

Hotel was nice, clean and service was good. Food was good. Heater did not work well. Could not get room quite warm enough. No refrigerator in the room unless you request it and one is available, and of course it was not. Having a shuttle to and from the Reliant Center was great. Excellent service from the shuttle drivers. I would stay there again.

The only issue I had was with the temperature of the hot water in the restroom. Water was warm at best, never did get HOT. Kids had to take cold showers. Notified staff, maintenance checked it out, water still never attained a desired temperature. Will not stay there again.

This place is 10 minutes away.Right across from Reliant Stadium(Astrodome for older folks).For the price it was a deal.

I stayed for 4 nights due to work. There was a very bad odor in my room. The bathroom didn't get restocked with toilet paper and the parking was horrible. The service was fair. The waiter who brought my room service meal was very pleasant. My bed was comfortable, but my coworkers stated that their beds were very uncomfortable.

Clean, lots of pillows, good customer service. There was a strange smell once you walk into the hotel, but there was some reconstruction going on. Another negative: I couldn't seem to get the shower hot enough. All-in-all, a decent stay.

This hotel smells really bad when you get off the 1st floor. The windows in the room don't open at all. Yuck....

The first room we were assigned to had a broken door that wouldn't close all the way. After we were assigned a second room, it took three tries to get keys that would work. It took us way to long to get into a room. While I was at the desk waiting to get this fixed, I heard more than one other customer complaining that their keys would not work.

Great room at a fair price. Stayed at the Tower Section and the only gltch was a quirky shower with sudden stop and go water flow...

Great location to attend events at Reliant, so close the parking lot has a section for gameday parking. I would stay there if I was going to another game but probably would go elsewhere if simply visiting Houston.

if you pay for parking, get a receipt. great for if you are going to a Houston Texans game!!

This is a great hotel, I came for an event downtown and the drive to downtown is not bad at all. The hotel was surprisingly nice. It just got a renovation and the inside looks amazing. Not what I was expecting at all! I would recommend it to anyone.

The carpets were stained and dirty. The hallways and walls had a yellowish tint to them. It's in a questionable part of town and very close to highways. The bathroom had stains on the walls and the ceilings were very dirty and dingy.

The gym there is in horrible condition and the all hotel feels like before bankruptcy ! should be 2.5 stars !

The management of this hotel should be ashamed. It is quite obvious that it is not being maintained.Took over 10 minutes to get hot water. Bathroom ceiling tiles stained and dirty. Carpets filthy. Bottom of bathroom door splintered and damaged. Front desk employees trying very hard to be professional. I felt bad for them for all the complants they had to answer to. Many people staying here because they are getting medical treatment from local hospitals. These people deserve a clean, pleasant expericence.

This price I received for this hotel was a great value. Reserving was easy especially since I was frantic for a room in Houston that met my company daily requirements. My in-house travel system had nothing available. I was sitting in the Mexico City airport and learned that I was going to miss my connection to Brasil in Houston. I went online and found the Crown Plaza, made my reservation and checked in 4 hours later. It was great.

Hotel lived up to its hotel.com and guest rating. Only stayed 1 night on the way back to San Antonio. Reasonably priced, not too far away from downtown Houston.

Where to start... Well we got to the hotel at 5 am Saturday morning. We were supposed to have the room from Saturday check out on Sunday. Since we got in at 5am they gave us an extra day no charge. We were very gracious of that. However, after our 3 hr nap we get up and head down for breakfast. We got a room with complimentary breakfast (worth it!!) but the guy that checked us in didn't give us our voucher. So we had to make another trip to the front desk. Then we notice people getting parking passes. We were there for the Texans game and the clerk at the desk didn't tell us we needed a parking pass that we had to pay an extra $20 to get. Hotels.com also didn't say we had to pay. The whole reason we chose to get a hotel room was so that we wouldn't have to pay for parking and get a decent breakfast. If we hadn't have asked about the parking we would have gotten our car towed. We were also kinda upset about the tv we paid a lot of money to get an old tv and the remote didn't even work. The breakfast was amazing! The location was amazing. Literally 10 minutes walk from the hotel to the gates of reliant stadium. Also, the beds were so soft almost felt like our tempurpedic bed! Very impressed with these 3 things.

The elevators never worked and the beds were only doubles not queens very small. Front desk people were nice. Overall not a 3.5 star hotel.

The hotel overall was good, but the shuttle service was very hit-or-miss.
