I liked the hotel's location and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was with the shower. My husband and I both tried to turn the heat up on the shower and the first morning I took a cool shower and the second morning I only had a very luke warm shower. The sink water was able to be very hot, but there was something wrong with the shower. Otherwise nice place and convenient to the sites.

Comfy bed, spacious room. Could do with an upgrade in towels, or at least put some new ones in circulation.

Enjoyed our stay perfect location, clean comfy. Lovely staff and resturant food, will recommend and return !!

Overall, a hotel in a great location. The hotel is nice, but my room was a bit dirty. Some hairs in the bathroom and dirt along the walls. The bed was great and the staff was very attentive.

just stayed there for two nights it was a nice friendly hotel and ideal location wouldnt stay anywhere else when i go back to dublin beds were comfortable and breakfast was really nice .

I booked into this hotel for 2 nights to attend a w/e conference. Even though I requested a quiet room in the initial booking and was given a 2nd floor room overlooking a side-street, I hardly slept all night, with traffic and late-night revellers shouting in the streets. The next morning I requested a new room and got one on the 4th floor overlooking a courtyard. This was an improvment alright in terms of sleeping, but the next morning I discovered that my shower wasn't working. Given that I had an event to attend, I didn't have time to sit around for maintenance to come and fix the problem so I had to make do with a cold shower! The staff were helpful for the most part in my dealings with them, though no refund was offered. I didn't get breakfast in my rate and didn't have breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on it but the food I got for dinner in the bar was definitely way overpriced for the quality of the food received. Unless you're normally used to sleeping in a busy area, I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel.

Had a great stay in a large room that seemed more like a suite. Very happy with our stay, great hotel with a wonderful staff.

its all good for me at cassidys its like home from home for us . we will be back well done to all the staff 100%

We were given an executive suite room in the "new" building, an adjoining building requiring us to use two lifts and the underground passageway between the buildings. The room was quite large and the bed very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was fabulous. The only drawbacks were the view of the alley behind, the constant running toilet, and the lack of wifi access. The hotel did offer to move our room to the main building so that we could access wifi from our room, but we opted to keep the executive room. Your key card also serves to activate electric for the room. Also, if you have hired a car, you must call ahead to reserve parking, as there are very limited spaces. We were able to use a public car park less than 2 blocks away and the hotel validated our parking, so we paid the same rate as we would have at the hotel. That said, there is really no need for a car if you are just staying in Dublin. We had less than 24 hours in the city, but were able to see it all using the hop on/hop off bus for a reasonable price (good for 2 days). We were within an easy 15 minute walk of Temple Bar and Trinity College. Reception was pleasant and efficient. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed in Cassidy's for 5 nights. It was a very good hotel. Our hotel room was large and clean, modern and nicely furnished so there was nothing that could be faulted there. It was a fantastic location, just a stone's thrown from the tram or Hop on Hop Off bus, souvenir shops etc. However, staff while cordial, did not go out of their way to help. At times we felt dismissed. Other minor issue was being woken on the last two mornings by housekeeping (it was before 9am). This were minor details however, and overall we were happy with our stay.

Hotel in great central location. Staff were helpful. Room was clean and cosy. Had Black out curtains which I love as I like my room to be completely dark to go asleep.

The location was great. We could walk to any site or catch the bus. Patrick at the desk was fabulous. He helped with tours, buses, taxis, etc. He could not have been any better at assisting us.

arrived at 830 am paid for room from day before but didn't get a proper room till 1p.m.room had windows that needed key to open ,was overlooking roof gave us a little fan was very hot had room changed to other side of hotel needed 3 different elevators to get to room insanity

I spent six nights at the CASSIDYS recently. I can not rate this hotel high enough! The staff in the diningroom were so welcoming every morning, the breakfasts were excellent and good value at 7.50 euros...one needs to book the night before otherwise the cost is 9 eoros! The reception staff were courteous and most helpful at all times. My single room was tastefully decorated, well appointed with toiletries and spotless! The location could not have been better..convenient for the airport bus, the hop on hop off bus and most major attractions are within walking distance! I have no hesitation in HIGHLY reccommending this charming hotel...I certainly will be staying at the CASSIDYS when next in Dublin!

Very enjoyable stay at cassidys. We found the staff very friendly & eager to assist with any queries we had. We had trouble logging onto the hotel's wifi service. Other than that it was great.

Very expensive for room of this quality. Rooms on bottom floor noisy and have a window facing a back alley where maintenenance workers hang out and smoke.

The hotel might not be amazing but it is perfectly nice and the location was PERFECT for Croke Park and Temple Bar. The staff were all friendly and helpful - could not fault the service. Would be better if room service was available for longer hours. Only 10 minutes from Queen of Tarts which we recommend you go for breakfast and delicious cakes.

The hotel was of very high quality when taking the price into account. I was honestly not expecting much but the room was very clean and tidy, and the location was excellent, just walk outside and you're basically in the center of Dublin. Also the service was great, staff was always kind and helpful, and the hotel restaurant did have some good food. I would highly recommend this hotel and will surely return here whenever I go back to Dublin.

The "executive wing room" had ethernet internet, which did not work. zero effort made to fix, advised 10 minutes after check-in. Had to go to lobby @ 02:00 for international conference call... hotel staff couldn't see this being an issue. Definately *not* for international business travellers.

Convenient location, no complaints.

Convenient at the end of O'Connell St. On check in, we found that we were accomodated in the extension which is accessed via a tunnell which runs over the sewer. So after a bit of a trek to get to our room and dealing with the smell we got to our room. Sadly our room smelt too. Problems with the drains apparently. Staff put some stuff down the drain and that worked initially until you actually ran the tap. One other member of staff was dismissive. My bath towel appeared to be stained and had someone elses hair on it. We were moved to another room which was better and definately no smell which was good. The only issue with this was noisy drunks in the back streets at 4am. Room wasnt very sound proofed. Still not actually had an apology from the manager and would have liked maybe an offer of breakfast or a drink as a token but nothing. Checked out the gym and it reeked....probably due to being right next to the sewer tunnel. The smell of the tunnel did ease a bit. I wont be using the place again which is a shame because on the face of it, it looks quite a nice place. Lots of areas need finishing. eg toilet seats mismatched, ill fitting panels, tiling

The hotel is located on upper O'Connell Street which is home to tons of stores, restaurants and bars. Grafton St. and Temple Bar can be reached by foot (15 min.), all Dublin Bus bus tours leave just 2 min. away from the hotel. Given its great location and the nice rooms, the hotel is really a bargain.

We enjoyed our stay at Cassidy's. The location is great for touring Dublin, close to the buses and train station or walking. The hotel is older and room was a bit tight, but overall experience was good. I'd stay there again.

The hotel is in a great location, the folks working in the hotel were very nice. The breakfast was a bit costly for the quality. Lots of food that was OK. I would stay again if we went back to Dublin if the price was right. No WIFI in the rooms, only in the lobby. The workout room was adequate but plenty of places to run outside.

I was very surprised, excellent value for what i got! Very clean room & bathroom, i really enjoyed the hot bath at the end of my day journey ! Staff was fantastic, even one member spoke to me in portuguese...very helpful ! I would here again, the size of the room was perfect, not to big nor to small.

Given early check-in, location excellent, huge room with enormous windows :) Hotel is maybe a little tired around the edges and cleaners were less than quiet in the mornings. But generally, for the price we paid, a gem.

This hotel is in a great location right on O'Connell Street. You can easily take the airport bus to and from the area since the bus stops just a short walk away. The room I stayed in could have used some freshing up including new furniture. The bathroom appeared to have been recently remodeled. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

I booked this based on looking at a number of reviews on different sites. I was not disappointed. The location was perfect, although at the top end of O'Connell street it was only about 10 mins walk from most of the sites. The green hop on hop off bus was 3 mins away. I asked for a quiet room and got a really quiet room - room was large, clean and comfortable. I didn't eat at the hotel at all as there were plenty of places to eat nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a stay in Dublin. Also 3 mins from the airport bus stop which is outside Greshams hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location which is walkable to most of the city. The staff was very accommodating, the place was clean, and the price was right. I would definitely go back again.

I remember reading some complaints about this place, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what there could be to complain about. It might be a little older than some hotels, but it is very clean and well maintained. We also found it quite spacious for a European hotel. We're not picky people, but on the other hand, we're not adventurous backpackers, either. This is one of the nicest places we've stayed in Europe, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We chose this hotel specifically b/c it had parking, however there was no parking available to us and had to park at a gargage several blocks away. There was no temporary place to park to drop off luggage so we had to haul our luggage from the parking garage. The hotel was a maze, I wish some one escorted us to our room the first time so we would not get so lost lugging our own luggage up and down flights of stairs. Even though our room was on the first floor, we had to go down one flight of stairs walk a long distance and then walk up a flight of stairs, the signage in the hotel was poor as we did not realize we would have to go up another flight of stairs. I broke down in tears after lugging our luggage through the streets and then being lost within the hotel itself after a long drive. We passed other guests who could not find their rooms or the lobby as well. The location of the hotel was great the rooms were clean. Other then that we suffered alot of frustration finding our room and parking the car.

This Hotel surpassed our expectations! The hotel was so close to the airport-city bus shuttle 1 min walk, that we couldn't see it at first! Staff are very friendly the room was great (though we did get upgrade) but friends normal room was just as pleasant. Away from the rabble of temple bar but only 15 minutes walk if want to be there. Great pubs with Irish dancing just just around the corner. On the door stop of the shops and a breeze to get to the hotel from the airport even my 75 year old nan found it OK. I will deff stay here again! Party of 8 travelling 27 - 75.

Loved the hotel. When I arrived (early) they got me right in. The first room was a bit small with only a twin bed (my fault, I should have read the description better) they upgraded me for free. The next room was huge and had a great view of O'Connell street. Everything was within walking distance. The staff was pleasant and courteous. Food in the restaurant was very good. I think this is a steal for the price. :)

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel at the end of my trip to Ireland. I got a good price on the hotel, and overall it was a fine place to stay, but I do have a few complaints. First the positives: The location is wonderful, easy to walk all over the city, and plenty of restaurants and bars close by. I’ve been to Dublin a few times before and never stayed north of the river, so I enjoyed the change of scene. Also the bus to the airport is very close by in O’Connell street, which makes getting in and out of the city so convenient. The reception area and bar are nice and well kept. The gym is average, but definitely useable. Now for the problems: basically it can be summed up by saying the hotel is old and you should expect normal issues that you would encounter in an old building. Upon our check in were given a smoking room, which is not what we requested. Our windows were open when we arrived, which was nice to air out the room and cool it down a little (the heat was up too high and we couldn’t turn it down on the thermostat). We went out for dinner, and came back several hours later ready for bed. It was at this point that we discovered we could not shut the windows because the latch was broken. Below us in the corridor was a gang of people shouting and singing and laughing loudly, and there was no way we could have slept through it. We called reception and they demanded to come up and look, not believing it was really broken, and then accused us of breaking the window, once it was determined that it actually wouldn’t close. Eventually we were given keys to a new room. We moved all of our things in to the new room and were settling in when we realized the radiator was making clicking noises that would not stop. It was kind of like a mechanical drip noise every minute or so. It was very late by this point and we were both so tired we did not want to deal with requesting a new room, so I slept restlessly with earplugs, which didn’t drown out the noise completely. The n

The best parts about this hotel were: the location (about a 2-3 block walk from the airport bus drop off) and then easy to walk to downtown sightseeing spots and the early check in. Just as other reviewers had noted, when we came in from international flight at about 11:00 am they had an open room and got us right into it- so appreciated. The downside was that we could hear the people through the walls - when our neighbors arrived home at about midnight we could almost hear their entire conversation. But still really happy with hotel due to the early check in!

In comparison to other places I've stayed in and around Dublin (locations closer to Temple Bar & Trinity College) I think Cassidy's is the best place I've stayed - hands down. Excellent location, while a bit of a walk to Temple Bar it's still a centralized location within easy walking distance and serviced by efficient and continuous bus service to all the major tourist attractions without the chaos and noise of Temple Bar. We got an excellent rate for three nights around Halloween weekend through hotels.com. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was larger than I expected, clean, up to date and seemed to be on the newer side. Can't comment on the bar or restaurant as we didn't visit either but otherwise a great reasonably priced spot on the North Side of Dublin.

Great location, within walking distance of most sights. Extremely close to the airport bus stop, as well. Like other guests, I was given a room as soon as it was available -- around 9am, which was great after a flight from the U.S.! I was a single, and they upgraded me to a large room facing the back with two beds. Very quiet, although I could see how weekends could get noisey with the Dublin party scene. Hotel seems really secure as they lock the door at night and you have to ring after 11pm or so. Maid service was great and unobtrusive; never saw her, but my room was always made up whenever I left. Staff were very cordial. I didn't do the breakfast since I found other spots in the area were slightly cheaper and offered more scenery. Definitely would stay there again.
