Ideal Hotel Design - باريس

We stayed at this hotel for a week in April. The good thing about the hotel was the location (the subway entrance is literally right outside the door). Unfortunately, there were numerous problems we encountered during our stay. First, our room (107) was *so* dark! I mean, two tiny lights above the bed, and a desk lamp in the corner. With a tiny window and very little sunlight, you could barely see anything in the room. They really should add another floor lamp to the room. It's hard to comment on the cleanliness of the room, because we honestly couldn't see anything! I commented to the front desk but all they could say was "isn't the room beautiful?". Second, our room should be avoided if you want to have a peaceful night's sleep. The problem is that on one side of the room is the stairwell going down and the other side is the breakfast room. So each morning around 6:00am you start hearing hotel workers (and other guests) walking around and people getting the breakfast ready. It's extremely loud and will definitely wake you up. Also, even though we had a non-smoking room, it seems like smoke smell seeps into the room somehow. We ended up stuffing a towel at the bottom of our door to help reduce the smell. The hotel staff mostly seemed nice, although the guy who helped check us in was rather rude. The others seemed pretty friendly. If I were traveling to Paris, I'm not sure that I would stay here again.

The elevator was broke during my trip (5 nights). I ask hotel staff to help me carry baggage, they said no one can help and just say sorry without do anything! So I need to carry 3 heavy baggage(60KG) by myself and walk to the 7th floor when check in & check out, it`s so TIRED! Except walk to 7th floor EVERY DAY, still have noise from next room In the middle of the night, you can heard someone talking clearly ! Only one advantage is good location.

The hotel is located a bit far from the city but it is conveniently located directly next to a Metro endstation. The room we got was NOT one of the ones they show on the webpage because it has not been refurbished. The door is very thin and not quite "soundproof", the carpets on the floor are old and there are some stains on the walls. The bathroom is tough OK but the shower is quite small. On the positive side is the good service in the lobby where the staff is friendly and helpful. All in all you pay for what you get!

Excellent location. Metro station is at doorstep. Rooms are small but clean. Very tiny elevator so a room issued on the first floor is a bonus. Hotel staff are very helpful and are bilingual. Hot buffet breakfast is available for a charge but worth it. Touch screen internet access is available for free in the breakfast dinning area. WiFi is for free in room. We will definitely stay here again. Enjoy!

We stayed at the Ideal Hotel for 4 nights and had a great time in Paris. The metro stop is just outside the door, very convenient. We got to Paris before check in time and, as someone mentioned, the luggage storage room is unlocked and seems to be unmonitored. The room was comfortable, although I would try to get an inside room if I stayed here again. The intersection is very busy, even at 2 or 3 in the morning and is quite heavy by 7am. It wasn't bad with the windows closed, but If it had been warmer the noise with open windows would have been hard to deal with. The dining room staff were very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Loved the location. Super easy access to Metro. Our room was a little noisy as it was near the stairs but otherwise it was perfect for our needs. Would definitely reccommend this hotel!

The metro is right there. Transportation is very convenient. The room is very basic, small, and the cleanliness is ok. The elevator was not working properly and it makes walking to the 5th floor a big chore. Also, The room had a strange air freshener smell and it made all of us sneeze. The bed was good, the shower was hot and pillow was too soft and flat

Front desk staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the elevator was broken. 7 floors was quite a hike. The room was clean. Bed very comfortable!

The hotel was fine, but was not nearly as nice as the pictures indicated!

This was a nice little hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the internet worked extremely well. The only issues were some minor things: only one electrical outlet in the entire room, awkward room layout that didn't leave enough room for a chair at the desk, and a tiny/slow/questionable elevator. Overall, though, I would stay here again.

the problem we had with the hotel was that it was noisy. the other guests were noisy and also in the morning there would be lots of banging against the wall. I guess they were going through construction. also we were two people and should have been on a single queen bed but were put into a 3 twin beds room. The room also did not have a water heater if i wanted to make tea.

Perfect Location just a foot step from Metro and Tram. Friendly people and clean rooms. The only negative the small elevator that was used only twice.

Perfect location to visit the trade fairs and thanks to miss Tatev at the front desk for a pleasant stay.

The hotel was very close to the tunnel trains and the buses. So, you can easily get to where you want to go even though it was farther away from the touristy locations. There was some very good restaurants in the area. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was good.

I was unlucky since the furnace broke down the day I came, meaning there was no heat in the room and no hot water. That was not the hotel's fault, but they may have done more to ensure that clients had a nicer stay, by offering extra blankets, advise/warning about cold water perhaps even suggestions to where you could have a warm bath or even in an extreme case a discount. Besides the service in general was so-so and the breakfast table was not worth getting exited about. The location near Porte d'Orléans (easy access to orly and city centre), good wifi connection and the price were the only up-sides.

The hotel is located in the southern part of the city and does not seem very touristy. The metro stop is right outside the door of the hotel(under construction during or stay) or across the street The hotel rooms looked much bigger and better decorated on the website so there must be some nice rooms at the hotel, we got a very small room with a very small bath and to add to the fun, the elevator did not work during our stay on the sixth floor. They did give us a free breakfast for two days of our stay to make up for the elevator not working. The hotel says the are trilingual and that is true for some of the front desk staff, but not for all. In the US, this would be a very clean, nice 2 star hotel.

My wife, adn two children ( 18 and 15) found this place on line. We read the reviews and they were satisfactory. This place is mych better than satisfactory. We asked lots of questions and received good replies at teh concierge; and we worked with three different people. The hotel was literally right outside the subway stop; not sure how someone wrote it was 6 minutes away. There are many restaurants, including Subway ( for those who need it) french restaurants 9 always had breakfast at restaurant just around corner for crepes. There was a bakery just outside as well. Subway was conveniently located. The price was awesome cinsduerung location; had no problems paying. There was free wifi in the hotel. Most hotels were small and the only downside was the elevator can only hold three people...without luggage. Europe is small so we went with the flow, no problems. We had two double beds, we faced the street, it was room and not noisy. Great place to stay...you gotta love pink though as everything is pinl- kind of cute actually!

Its considered good as it is very near to halal restaurant, convenient stores and tube station. However, it has a kind of weird decoration in certain rooms (too gloomy perhaps). Also, too noisy due to footsteps stomping the floor or stairs. It can be heard clearly from inside the room and a bit disturbing. The lift is too small and not convenient for the elderly who needs to climb up the stairs till level 6 or for those with many luggages and bags. This is particulalry so during peak hours (check-in or check out time).

Have stayed there 4 times and great location, good sized rooms and clean with a funky design. Location next to Metro is VERY convenient. Internet last time was a problem for establishing a strong connecting. For casual browsing is not a problem though had to go to lobby to make skype calls. Hotel great for casual travellers though might prove inconvenient for hardcore business types.

The elevator was out of order during my visit so I had to use the stairs instead. This disadvantage (not a big problem for me) was balanced by the very helpful and nice personell and a optimized high quality breakfast.

The hotel was clean and confortable. Unfortunately, only people next door were a bit noisy. However, it was a good experience.

Comfortable

If you're looking for a boutique hotel, this is not one. The lobby is nice, but the rooms quite outdated for the label. Never mind, the beds were comfy, the wifi was free and the location next to a metro station is good. However Porte d'Orléans is not the hotspot of action, but it was easy to get to the nice areas of Montparnasse, etc. Metro to Marais took roughly 20 minutes and to Montmartre or other touristic places a bit longer. Not bad. Affordable.

Basically I had a really good time here,I like the room decorations and hotel design, and considering the price I paid, it's very spacious for me. However it would be better if they could do more effert on room cleaning and hotel manegement. I don't this is a really good hotel that would suit everybody's expectation. Sometimes the elevator was too busy you would have to walk the stairs(coz they only got a small one for the whole building), and sometimes the construction noises just annoying. I guess you would have to have enough luck to have a good time here. The surrounding neighborhood is quite good, and close to metro is a plus. Staffs are all friendly.

When I arrived, before check in time, I asked if I could check my luggage until check in. They pointed to the 2nd floor , 1st floor in Paris, and told me that I could put me bags in the firts room on the left.The room was not looked nor attended.

First time visiting Paris, so booked based on very little information. the rooms and bathrooms here are extremely small - seriously like a matchbox.. single elevator servicing all floors - room on the 4th floor ended up having to use the stairs most of the time. city accessible by train - but this hotel is situated in the far end of the city. better options are available so do your research

This was my third stay at this hotel, and if it had been my first time I would not have come back. The room given to us was very small in comparison to the previous occassions. There seems to be construction in progress and banging next door started at eight in the morning. There is no air conditioning so this should rule out a summer stay, as this room had very poor ventilation. On the plus side, there are local markets where you can buy refresnments and something to eat without going broke. Very accessible to the metro as a stop is just accross its front door. Hate the inconsistency and wonder what would I find the next time.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights during our first visit to Paris in early August. We liked almost everything the hotel could offered - Location right by the subway station, cleaness of the room, good room service and friendly front desk staff. Great value and enjoyable stay overall. The only suggestion is that cleaning ladies need to lower their chatting voice while they are working around.

We chose this Hotel because it was relatively inexpensive. While it was convenient to the Metro it is relatively far from most of the city attractions. We had a room on the first floor which was in poor condition, particularly the hallway rugs were badly stained and needed to be replaced. There were items left in the 1st floor hallways all day (like the room cleaning cart, they are probably using the maintenance closet for a room). The internet access from our room barely worked. Would definitely not recommend this hotel.

Who gave this hotel a 3-star rating? I don't think that it deserves even a single star. The stay was not comfortable. It does not appear clean and properly maintained.

The location of this hotel to transportation was great. I was able to get all around Paris easily from here as all forms of Paris' public transportation was accesible - as in directly outside the fron door from this hotel. That being said, the hotel itself was majorly lacking. It is NOT a 3 star hotel. I would barely give it 2. The carpets are old, worn and dirty tthrought the hotel. The linens did not smell fresh - not saying they were dirty, they just did not smell freshly cleaned. The fact that there was free wi-fi was the only other plus I can say about the hotel. I will also admit the staff was relatively friendly. I was upset however, that they do not offer early check-in. They literally made us wait 5 hours to check-in. I've never experienced that before. Also te baggage area whee they let us put our luggage while we waited was unsecured and on a completely different floor from the reception staff. the price is great - but beware you definetly get what you pay for.

Good hotel- good price for a good room in a good location

It's a very bad location, takes 45 min to get to the center. Room smelled bad, they didnt clean our room during our 3 day staying,elevator is very very small,design of the hotel made me think that it used to be a wh*re house. Positive side is that the stuff was very nice and helpful and it's 1 step from the metro, free wifi. But still I would not stay here again and wouldn't recommend to my friends!

I had high hopes about this hotel when I booked it, but I feel like it didn't live up to my expectations. The carpets were damaged, and the door to the bathroom wouldn't shut all of the way, and the door was missing paint at the bottom. The cleaning person forgot to replace the towels in one of the rooms that I had booked, and there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Also the shower is small and uses a shower curtain instead of a solid door. In a small shower this has the effect of causing the shower curtain to stick to you while taking a shower. It is not all bad the rates were reasonable and the location is wonderful. As stated in another review the Orleans metro stop is right outside the door, and there are plenty of resturaunts and markets in the neighborhood.

Hostel was clean and beds were comfortable but it was way too far out of town. About 13 stops on the subway en oh took roughly half an hour to get in each day to see the sights.

Clean, comfortable, cheap, great shower and bathroom. Train station near-by is great. booked a 4 share room, one of the nights had to be split up into two-two share rooms, slightly annoying but they moved all our luggage for us so that was nice. Very tricky to find when driving, not much help when we called, but the other staff on the desk at different times were very helpful with directions etc. Overall, good basic if not quirky hotel, if you can get a good deal, it is recommended.

Good location, in front of subway entrance, tram & bus stop. Fast access to & from CDG airport. There are restaurants, cafes, bank, supermarket, cake shop & bakery nearby. The room I stayed is basic, no aircon which can be an issue in a hot night.

Finding this hotel was simple once you follow the signs for the correct Metro exit - then it was just there! Check-in was friendly and efficient as were almost all of the staff. Rooms were basic with no Tea/Coffee but a (non-working) mini bar. Free wi-fi was easy to connect to but the signal varied from room to room. We had three rooms booked so this was not too much of an issue as I picked the one with the best signal! The room sizes also varied but were all OK in size considering it is Paris. The hotel is located in Porte D'Orleans at the southern end of the No. 4 Metro line and is a busy suburban area but the Hotel is well soundproofed so this is not an issue. There are plenty of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and bars nearby. For travelling into the centre of Paris you should allow 30-40minutes depending on time of travel (Train frequency varies) Pros: Cleanliness, Different Funky Design on each floor, overall friendliness. Cons: Lack of services (Bar, Restaurant etc), rude arrogant receptionsist (Male - possibly a manager) who knocked the overall rating from 5 down to 4 as he put a real sour taste on our stay.

Nice hotel worked fine for our trip. Very close to metro stop, nice neighborhood with places to eat and grocery store close by. Carpet worn in room but otherwise very clean. Elevator very small and since we were on the top floor it was hard to get bags up and down, but otherwise stay was good.
