I booked 3 rooms for 2 days stay and found an overall good experience. 2 of the rooms were in good shape, but the third had a bad odor. We didn't notice it at first, but started to get worse. Didn't bother us so because we were hardly in the rooms so we stuck with it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are little too close to each other and at times, you can hear next door neighbors if they are loud. It's not in the best location. Had to walk 15-20 mins until you get to the heart of nightlife scene. For the price, it was worth it.

The evening manager, Eric was the most sensational concierge I have ever met. He couldn't do enough for us, with recommendations, reservations and extra phone calls to our room with further suggestions. Every evening when we returned, he expected a full report on our activities, and if his suggestions had met our expectations. He is truly a magnificent ambassador for the city of Montreal!

first time in Montreal. Days Inn was close to everything hotel staff was friendly and informative. will stay again!

overall, pretty good - their internet was terrible though.

All the female receptionists we dealt with were curt, unfriendly and miserable. It appears smiling and offering a welcoming greeting is not a requirement for them. The males seemed better for some reason. The Wi-Fi didn't work properly and when it did it was extremely slow. We were told nothing could be done to help us. Upon checking out we were informed that we'd accrued a large parking bill, even though we weren;t told there was a charge for parking. The previous Days Inn we stayed at had free parking. I would certainly not stay here again, and with so many other choices - why would anyone else?

Hotel staff not the friendliest for customer service and mattresses in first room were both slanted on an angle, changed rooms despite customer service and second room also had slanted beds?! Looked under mattress and the the mattress stands were broken underneath. Pretty strange it happened twice. Overall review: you get what you pay for. Would recommend spending an extra 20/ night for a beautiful stay anywhere else.

The hotel is a little dingy. The advertisement states in one place that there is a microwave, that would have been nice, had it been true. Definitely misled on that. The rooms are NOT sound proof, did not appreciate listening to the next door couple in the middle of the night. They had a noisey good time . It would be nice to get the same deal for the end of June as our large family is attending a wedding.

Highly recommended if you want to see Old Montreal which is a very nice place.

They charge you $23 for overnight parking and also charge you local call from your hotel room

The cleanliness of the hotel was much to be desired, especially in the bathroom. Twice the alarm of fire the fourth shot and Internet speed falls far short of need.

I stayed in a room with a queen bed. Overall, I was kind of disappointed with the room. The cleanliness was subpar, I found a bottle cap in the shower drain, long black hairs embedded in a couple of towels. The maid didn't clean the bathroom floor during her time to clean the room. This room had two rooms, one for the bed and one for hanging out in. The downside was that the TV was in the other room so being able to relax and watch TV while in bed was non-existent. The couch was very small to get comfortable on and be able to take a nap or watch TV. There were areas that weren't dusted and the waste baskets weren't emptied every day. The lobby was very clean and shiny. Beyond that the rest of the hotel looked like it needed a good scrubbing. The halls were dark and the ice maching looked like it had never been drained and cleaned. The location is good for getting to Old Montreal, Saint Catherine's St and some other POI. The staff was pleasant both when checking in and at the bar. Very informative and willing to help you with any questions/situations you may have. The Inn did have free Wi-fi which helped with not having to rely on your data plan to access sites, voice messages etc.

Stayed here for the location and price range of others in our party. It was spring break so the place was full of loud kids from elementary to college age.

Excellent pricing for the location. Furnitures and the look of the hotel is a bit aged but it is kept very clean (best regards to the cleaning staff). It's also perfectly located with a metro station very close (and Chinatown!).

Very clean and nice hotel close to Old Montreal, good deal fro the price.

Had a mini getaway last weekend. When we inquired at the front desk about certain shops we wanted to visit, they printed out detailed maps. Very helpful and friendly. Great stay. Will visit again.

I stayed here for business, a day after staying in the Ottawa Days Inn, which I was disappointed with. The Montreal hotel was clean, had very helpful staff, and a cozy bar/restaurant with a lovely server named Sam. The hotel was within walking distance of everywhere I needed to go so I was very happy with it and would recommend it. Great value!

The location is excellent,but the hotel has a few flaws that, sadly the hosts might not be interested to do something about it: - I asked for a non-smoker room,but there was a lot of cigarette smoke, specially in the morning and evenings. - From Friday to Sunday it was incredibly noisy. When I complained, the receptionist made a shrug. The breakfast costs $9,plus tax, $11. It's a buffet, but it has very limited choices. I still recommend it for its price and location.

The location was good but the wifi was too slow and they charged $20+ per night for parking.

Very small room,old look but clean. Valet parking so can not access your car.Walking distance from old town otherwise not great neighborhood.

The location/price combination is very good. Walking distance to Champ de Mars and Vue Montreal. But the hotel itself is a typical very basic Days Inn, no bells or wistles. The immediate neighborhood is pretty dead, nothing to do. Have to walk to Vue Montreal, about 5-10 min walk.

Reasonably well located hotel with good sized rooms. Central Montreal is not that large anyway. I stayed 3 mights. Hotel is not located within a touristy neighbourbood but is about 3 minutes walk to Chinatown (almost across the road), about 6-7 minutes walk from local subway and central bus station, and about 15-20 minutes walk from downtown CBD and central train station. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and dining room has reasonably priced breakfast menu with good service. There is an IGA supermarket within walking distance if you need to stock up on any toiletries or food and drinks. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable with a mini bar fridge and bathroom had shower with hot water and decent water pressure. For visitors travelling without a wi-fi laptop computer, there is free access to PCs with internet.

Almost ruined my vacation. Had to change rooms to times. I would never stay in this horid place again.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Chinatown and Old Montreal. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful in both French and English. The restaurant staff was both professional and courteous and provided friendly, polite and excellent service. Though our room was mistakenly not made up after our first night stay, the staff was willing to accoodate us and provided us with necessary items. After our stay, we realized we had left something behind and the staff was very helpful in locating it and expediting its return directly to our home.

When we first walked in all you could really focus on was the stench of an unkempt public restroom. Not sure what happened there, but it wasn't taken care of in a timely manner as it lingered for our overnight stay into the next morning.

Chinatown location is pretty close to everything and very clean. Room was small but how much time are you spending there? Everyone was very helpful and friendly.

They advertise in th rooms at that hotel that whatever you may forget in your room, they will keep it for you. Well, that's not true. I forgot a jacket and a pair of pants in my room, they brought back the jacket, but the pants disappeared. The people at the front desk promised that they will follow up with me, but I never received a call, e-mail, nothing! On top of that, the AC in my room did not work,the second room I moved into had a broken door! Not a hotel that you can trust!

found the room to be on the small side including the bathroom. Food in restaurant quite good and quick service.

We were very pleased with this hotel. It was clean, the room was very nice with plenty of space and in good condition. It is an acceptable walk from the Gare Centrale and very close to the quaint old district. The only problem was the noisy air conditioner - turning off both the fixed heating and the separate cooling air conditioner solved our problem; luckily room maintained a comfortable temperature overnight (mid Nov).

When you come to paying a reasonable price in Downtown Montreal in a low season, this is a reasonable one. Everything is reasonable: convenience location, pharmacy, deli, small restaurants surrounded. Small room, good-sized bathroom, outdated but clean environment. Two blocks from Chinatown and Subways. Easy parking area.

It's easy to grab a bike from the bike share, so the entire city is very accessible. It's very walkable to St. Catherine's St with all the sex shops and Old Montreal. Between the hotel and Old Montreal, our car window was smashed and a bag was stolen. At least the hotel was adjacent to the police station. The hotel room itself was a little small, but we were trying to fit 6 in a 4-person room. The walls are a bit thin, we could hear teenage girls screaming and a baby crying, but that's the nature of 3 star hotels, isn't it?

The front desk staff was very helpful. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and even called to make reservations and printed out directions for us.
