My overall experience was good. It was a great location. Staff very friendly.

All the staff were approachable and helpful when asked for assistance. Hotel maintenance should fix the intermitantly noisy bathroom fan in 305. Not a big job but hugely annoying since it speaks of not caring. Room comfort would be improved by 100% cotton bedding instead of slippery synthetics. New windows are excellent, allowing for healthy ventilation. Too bad about the food quality at the adjacent restaurant.

Location is very convenient. Very clean. friendly staff. It's a very basic hotel room, nothing fancy but suited our needs to a tee.

I stayed here for 4 days in late March for a conference. The hotel is in a perfect location, just steps from the subway system, and close to UT etc. My room (a 1-bedroom queen) was very comfortable and spacious. The WiFi worked flawlessly. I thought the towels were a bit worn, and the bathtub a bit dingy, but otherwise everything in the room was great. Would have preferred glass cups to plastic though, but minor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

From the moment I came up the elevator, my stay was extremely welcoming and everyone was very helpful and friendly! They even went out of their way to make us feel confortable and Definately succeeded ! We will be going back for sure

Hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room could have been cleaner (stain on bed throw & carpet plus cleaning glove left had been left on bedside table at check-in), Otherwise, remote which did not work was repaired immediately, front desk was very helpful and considerate. By joining Loyalty Club, late check out was extended to 2 pm! Location was amazing, across from Bata Shoe Museum, 1 block to ROM, easy walk to good shopping & restaurants.

This hotel was exactly what it promised to be. A perfect location with access to public transit and major sites, the hotel staff was helpful and efficient.

This hotel was very close to the University Of Toronto. It was clean as well.

Friendly staff, clean well appointed room. Walking distance to where I needed to be. Downfall - restraunt a beer pub, not great - I got take out at Pizza Pizza instead and ate in my room. Went to Tim's for breakfast!

Not a bad hotel at all. Does need to be updated a bit (tub tv). Room could have been cleaner.

We booked a room at the Hotel for our daughter. She found the room very clean and the staff very friendly. Any information we needed was provided. When she needed direction to certain areas in Toronto, staff was dead on with information. Hotel rates are very affordable. Over all we were pleased with her comment, that she would certainly stay there again. Thank you kindly for all services, your Hotel provided.

great smaller hotel in a very convenient location near U of T , Yorkville, the Museum and the subway line.

This hotel is well located in Toronto and the rooms are comfortable and pleasants. The bar/bistro located next to the hotel is not great so it is best to find another place to eat and hang out outside the hotel.

We loved the hotel...rates were reasonable esp following TIFF...pleasant front desk staff and rooms current and clean...def will come back!

Front desk was very welcoming and checked us in hours earlier than check in time!! Courteous, friendly place to stay! Clean, comfortable! I would recommend this hotel!!

The room was dirty the staff not very friendly either on the phone or in person. Will never stay at this hotel again and I travel once a month to Tronto for Business.

This is where we stay in Toronto now and it is likely to remain our first choice. Clean, quite, full access underground parking: it's not the SoHo but neither are the rates.

Great place to stay. Within walking distance to the Toronto Gay district. Close to some high end shopping. So it's a great value for the area. Would definately stay there again.

Very quick and easy to check in. Room was very clean and beds were incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect. Very close to subway. A small issue was that I woke up to housekeeping vacuuming other rooms on our floor at an early hour. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would consider coming back when I need a hotel in Toronto!

The Holiday Inn on Bloor in Yorkville is an average hotel in a great location. My In-laws stayed here when my husband graduated from U of T. Rates are slightly high for what you get, but pretty good compared to other downtown Toronto hotels. The rooms are comfortable, but there are no extras: No pool, no exercise room, no decent food, internet worked sometimes.Service is un-attentive. Shouldn't matter much if you book online and don't ask for anything special. Just use the hotel as home-base for a decent place to bathe and sleep and get out on the town. Close to museums, University of Toronto, shops, good food and easy access to subway for getting to the rest of the city. Leave your car at home if you can, as parking at the hotel is expensive and not included in room rate.

We enjoyed staying at your hotel and founr the location very convenient. Please note that we missed a side lamp by the bed. We ate breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel and found the floor dirty and the tables sticky. We hope this can be changed in the near future. Thanks.

Very well situated, close to the upscale Bloor/Yonge shopping District, Royal Ontario Museum, University of Toronto. Hotel was clean and staff were responsive. Room was spacious and clean. Room faced a laneway to the East of the hotel, and was very quiet. Rooms facing Bloor St. would have significant street noise.

Clean spacious room -- liked being able to open window. AC easy to use and quiet.

Everything was wonderful except for there not being any air conditioning the first night; it had not been turned on yet and I could not get the temperature down even with an open window. Many must have complained because the second night was as it should have been.

Time for a bigger television. 25 inch colour doesn't cut it in 2011

We were firsst given a room that was not clean, I immediaately called the frontdesk and within seconds theyone had someone at our door checking the room and having us switch rooms to a more suitable. They then removed my parking charge off my bill because of the mishap...(which i thought was very decent of them)...I was not pleased to pay for parking in the first place but it worked out in the end!! I liked the idea of the underground parking with video surveillence, but i was not happy to pay 22 dollars a night for it!! Overall, it was a pleasant stay....

I felt safe and comfortable at this Holiday Inn, the location was very convenient for the purpose of this trip, and the hotel was clean. It's not super-luxurious, and maybe it's been a while since the last redecoration, but you aren't paying for that, which is presumably why you choose a Holiday Inn. The people at the front desk were very accommodating (I'd forgotten my Blackberry charger, and they rooted in the lost-and-found to find one left by a prior guest that would help me out). I have no complaints at all and felt I got a good value for the rate I paid.

The convience and parking was about the only two good things about this hotel. There were some junkies outside at street level, our bed comforter had a blood stain on it (obviously the comforter was not cleaned), room service took an hour and a half to get to our room (this was on a Wednesday night, so what happened when you stayed during a peak time), and the fire control panel broke down resulting in the PA and the alarm system going off most of the night. Coupled with this, the service was horrible. I'm not a difficult person to get along with, normally I am a very easy going kind of guy. WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

you pay extra for parking

I had a great experience at Holiday Inn Bloor Yorkville. The room was great and the staff were both helpful and pleasant. For the price and location (next to UofT) it was perfect.

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Madison Pub (14 Madison Avenue). The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to the pub. We used it to have everybody gather at the hotel room and then head to the pub all together. For the price that we paid for the room, with two double beds and four occupants, the room seemed very small. I expected much more room between the beds and the TV area and much more room for placing our coats, laptops, etc. We ended up having to sit on our beds and place coats on it due to the lack of space. Also, one of the bathroom towels had a weird stain on it and I stopped using it once I discovered it. My girlfriend and I have stayed at this hotel before, as we enjoy going to the Madison Pub and this location is quite convenient.

The hotel was as we had expected. Clean, comfortable and the room had everything we needed. I am from Toronto and I love the location of this hotel, which is why we chose it. It is very nearby the university, yorkville shops, museums and galleries, the annex and not a far walk from many other areas of Toronto a little off the beaten track and well worth visiting.

The hotel restaurant was very good and the room was quite nice. The people working there were polite an helpfull. Theonly thing the bothered us was finding an empty bottle under the bed which makes you think about how the cleaning staff does their jobs?? Close to downtown attractions which was great!

I would recommend this hotel for it's location, cleanliness, and staff.

We chose this hotel because it was walking distance to some medical care we needed. Turns out it was also very convenient to the subway and lots of restuarants. You can get a Greyline pass to use all week and the bus stopped right outside the hotel. There was a small coffee shop right downstairs that had coffee and bagels as well as a restuarant that served a good full breafast. There are 2 museums across street and lots of shopping a short walk away. The hotel room was cleaned beautifull each day and the beds were super comfortable. There were even soft and firm pillows with a little band around them so you knew which was which. I'd recommend this hotel highly.

Great location, directly across the street from University of Toronto...lots of young energy everywhere. Hotel is clean and comfortable. BIG PLUS-On site free washer and dryer, so you can pack half the amount of clothes as usual, then do a load of laundry. Rooms were good size and fairly modern; no noise concerns higher up. Metro stop is 1/2 block away and Bloor Street is one of the main thoroughfares leading to the downtown and shopping district.

Best Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. Ever.
