The staff was polite and professional. The location was perfect to shopping, food, buses and trains. I would stay there again.

The hotel was clean and certainly a 3 star hotel. However, the description of it being "near" the Vatican is a wide exaggeration. It is a good half kilometer from the nearest metro and 4 metro stops from the Vatican. I assumed it was within walking distance (I would have walked a kilometer or two). It is quite isolated and it cost us 50 Euros for a cab back to the airport (approx $75.00!)

If you are riding the Metro or any public transportation -- this hotel is not for you it is about 20 minutes walk from the nearest train station, you have to walk in a dark street if you return at night. not good for security. Hotel is good if you are part of a tour or if available transportation is provided to you.

The hotel charged us a local taxes of 15 euros per person. This taxes were not listed or explain when we book with the hotel.com. This amount was charged to us on the date of our departure rather than when we checked in at the hotel. Lucky that we still have some euro to pay for this hiding fee.

This hotel is nice, but a LONG way from the ancient sites of the city. It is over a mile to the metro, which is on strike every Friday, and taxis are very expensive. The room was nice enough, beds very hard, and air conditioning was good in one part of the room, but not the other. People were hepful and friendly. It is a long way to a good restaurant, but a store is close by. Plan on a 60 euro ride to the airport, or train station.(or more)

Hotel was clean, bed a little hard but o.k.& room & bathroom were a little small. Breakfast was adequate, typical European. Staff was very good . It's a bit out of the way but we found 3 excellent restaurants in easy walking distance. T.V. was small but we weren't in Rome to watch T.V., the only English channels were CNN & BBC.. Overall I would recomend this hotel.

The bathroom shower is about as big as a hallway closet. When you take a shower there is no room to move. The TV's are not even full TV they are the size of a small computer screen. The booking said full breakfast so far I have not seen that it is all cold, breads, cereal, coffee, etc... Very dissapointed Oh and it is not close to the central area you have walk 10 mins to a subway and take it into the central area.

Although I was taken by the taxi driver from the airport, the staff at the Pinewood helped make amends for Rome. They had a room ready for me well before check in time, which I requested as I knew I'd be exhausted. after 24 hours of travel. They spoke excellent English, were friendly and accommodated us with our early departure the next morning. After our tour of Egypt it was a relief to return to the Pinewood and be able to enjoy the breakfast the next morning.Room rates are great for Rome and the metro is close by.

The hotel location was off the beaten path but close enough to the metro to make it conveniant. The breakfast was substantial, hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful. The only issue is that the shower door didn't seal completely so water got on the floor. Other than that, I'd stay here again. Good value for the money.

The hotel itself is a bit dated but clean. However, we checked into our non-smoking room and were overpowered with the smell of cigarettes when walking in. The front desk agent informed us that there were absolutely no other rooms they could put us in for our first night. I'm pregnant and the smell made me extremely sick so it was not easy to spend the night in that room. The property's location is not ideal for sightseeing Rome. The metro stop is a good twenty minute walk and it takes about half an hour on the bus just to get to any main attractions. I would not stay there again.

This hotel is quite comfortable and had all the facilities we needed, including on-site parking. The open terrace at night was very pleasant. There is a short walk to the nearest metro stop and for central Rome, the metro is very well laid out. The included breakfast was quite satisfying and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We traveled around Europe for a bit and stayed at a few hotels. This one was our best experience.

it is a very nice hotel with free parking and excellent rooms the metro is 10 minutes walk but the suurrounding neighbour is quit spooky (immegrents from all over the world)

This hotel was not really what we had hoped for with respect to location. It is quite far from everything, so you must take the subway or a taxi into the main center/sights. Not very convenient for sightseeing, returning to your hotel for a rest then going out for more sightseeing. Area is a little questionable. I would not want to be a female alone, even a couple of females alone, walking at night from the subway to the hotel - a good 10-12 minutes. Breakfast was fine, nothing fantastic, the rooms are generally clean.

Hotel situated 10 minutes walk from the metro, which allows easy access to all the main sights in Rome. Hotel clean, tidy and comfortable just what you need after a long days sightseeing.

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the Cornelia Metro station. There are also bus stops near the hotel, although it is a bit more difficult to figure out when the bus will pick up and sometimes even what days it will run. We used the Metro most of the time. The breakfast was a B+ by European standards--croissants, cheese, lunchmeat, jams, nutella, rolls, some fruit and an assortment of beverages. The best things about the hotel were: It was very clean and quiet at night. The staff was professional and helpful. The beds were pretty good and our room had AC--a blessing in the 90 degree +, humid days we were there. The shower was small, but no problems with temperature or water pressure. We are a family of four with a 12- and 14-year-old. The only negatives were that our "room" for four was actually a suite (great), but...the door was on the kids room with the two twin beds instead of on the side with the queen bed. It would have been really nice for us to have had privacy. The rooms both opened to a common small space which lead to the bathroom. The other negative was that the walk back from the Metro station to the hotel was a little dicey. Our kids are average-large for their age and there were four of us, but I would not advise one or two women or a family with young children to make this walk late at night. Since it is Rome and it's wonderful to visit the fountains and the Pantheon at night, I would advise taking the trouble to figuring out when the buses run--there is a stop right in front of the hotel. Overall we found the Pinewood to be a very nice place, a good value with a few extras (a bit of storage for clothes, a luggage stand, TVs in both rooms) and a nice staff. We were in room 511.

Not sure what all goes into hotel "star" ratings, but this was not what I expected for 4 stars. The service, including breakfast was absolutely identical to every other run-of-the-mill (3-star) hotel we stayed in on this trip. But, the size of the room and bath was very European (tiny). Jacuzzi tub was a nice feature, though tiny, and somewhat compensated for the lack of a pool or sun-deck on which to relax. Wireless internet a plus, but not free. Location was a plus overall. IF you have a car you're 10-15 minutes to the Vatican and many popular sites. But, the park across the street, which was the deal-maker for us in selecting this hotel, was very disappointing for summer season anyway. Staff was friendly enough (by European standards - meaning not very) but competent enough and professional. The conclusion I must make (based on this property) regarding 4-star ratings, is that they must factor in the quality of appointments, furnishings, and even staff uniforms. All very nice and above average, but in my humble opinion, not the basis for separately an otherwise very run-of-the-mill hotel from the rest. Still, all-in-all a good value for the money.

The hotel is great, in a nice but not centered location. Though, it's 10min walk from a metro station and visiting touristic attractions is very easy (only 3 stations away from Vatican city).

if going to rome ,,, very well located , it is not in the proper Vatican but bus ride is 50 meters from hotel door , is great for the money and 400 meters there is a great restaurant family operated and inexpensive , nice location

We got a family room for four people which was smaller than I expected but still fit us comfortably. Location was not too bad, about a ten minute walk from the metro and bus stops right in front. Hotel was a little isolated, which was good for sleeping at night. Internet was very expensive, but internet cafes were available close by. Overall nice hotel

We liked the firm beds, quite room, and clean shower. Small but very much like the rest of Italy. The breakfast was great. The staff was friendly. Although, after traveling all over Italy, I would choose a hotel closer to a Metro station. It is a 10 walk from the Metro to the hotel. The bus does stop outside the hotel, but you can walk to the hotel faster than the time you wait for the bus.

Το ξενοδοχείο απέχει 10 λεπτά από την στάση του μετρό (Cornelia) απέναντι από ένα άλσος. Η περιοχή γύρω από το άλσος και μέχρι το ξενοδοχείο είναι σχετικά βρώμικη αλλά δεν αντιμετωπίσαμε κανένα πρόβλημα όταν γυρνούσαμε νυχτερινές ώρες. Το ξενοδοχείο νομίζω πως εξωτερικά χρειάζεται ανακαίνιση αλλά το δωμάτιο που μείναμε ήταν πολύ καλό και καθαρό. Οι υπάλληλοι στην ρεσεψιόν ήταν εξυπηρετικοί και μιλούσαν αγγλικά. Το πρωινό ήταν ικανοποιητικό αν και δεν είχε και τεράστια ποικιλία (είχε πάρα πολύ ωραία κρουασαν και ντόνατς αλλά δεν είχε ωραίους χυμούς και δεν υπήρχαν φρούτα). Σε γενικές γραμμές πολύ καλό το ξενοδοχείο και ειδικά η σχέση τιμής-ποιότητας!!!!

Trivsamt hotell som ligger i lungt kvarter . Trevlig personal. Enbart frukost serverades på hotellet samt bar på kvällen. 10 min till tunnelbanan som på 10-15 minuter tog oss till centrum, tex. till Trevi. Bussar gick utanför hotellet.(dock svårt veta tider).

Das relativ kleine Einzelzimmer befand sich direkt am Aufzugsschacht. Damit war erst ab ca. 24:00 bis 6:00 Ruhe. Ansonsten ist das Hotel für römische Verhälnisse aufgrund des gegenüberliegenden Pinienwäldchen und der relativen Nähe zur U-Bahn (ca. 10 Gehminuten) schön gelegen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Era da tempo che volevamo tornare a Roma,ora che il bambino e' piu' grande e riesce anche lui ad apprezzare la citta' eterna. La scelta del Pinewood e' stata casuale ,ne avevo visualizzati alcuni prima della partenza con 3 caratteristiche fondamentali ,almeno 4 stelle ,parcheggio e vicino alla metropolitana. L'abbiamo prenotato telefonicamente mediante callcenter ed e' stata un'ottima idea.La stanza non era come speravamo invece di una tripla ci hanno dato una doppia con lettino aggiunto stretta e ricavata in una mansarda ,senza frigo e con un televisore minuscolo, un po' poco per essere un 4 stelle.Il parcheggio comodo,la colazione abbondante ma mediocre e molto cara.ottima la vicinanza alla metropolitana.bella la vista dalla finestra in lontananza si vede il cupolone.

Hotelli sijaitsee suhteellisen kaukana nähtävyyksistä, mutta metrolla on todella kätevä kulkea. Pidimme hyvänä sitä, että kaupunginosassa vastaan ei tullut vain turisteja, vaan näimme paikallisten elämää. Hotelli oli siisti ja viihtyisä, aamupala ei niin suomalaiseen mieleen, mutta kuitenkin täyttävä perus etelä-eurooppalainen. Hotellilta käveli lähimmälle metroasemalle 5-10 min. Metroaseman luona sijaitsi myös ruokakauppoja, jäätelöbaareja, ravintoloita jne. Metrolla oli helppo aamulla lähteä Vatikaaniin (olisi voinut kävelläkin sen 2 km), Colosseumille tai Terminiin. Illasta oli mukava palata hotellille ja jatkaa siitä lähiravintoloihin syömään. Myös hinnat hotellin lähellä sijaitsevissa kaupoissa ja ravintoloissa olivat paljon halvemmat kuin keskustammassa. Hotellin henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja osasivat neuvoa ravintoloiden ja kulkuyhteyksien suhteen. Hotellihuone oli pieni, mutta viihtyiä ja hyväkuntoinen.

Detta hotell var helt ok! Servicen var absolut inte den bästa, men vissa i personalen var hjälpsamma. Hotellet ligger ganska långt utanför centrala stan (näst sista stoppet på metro mot Batistini) ca 20 min rån centrum med tunnelbana. Mögel i taket i badrummet, övermålat.

Även om hotellet ligger ganska nära buss och tunnelbana så tar det ganska lång tid att ta sig till centrum. Lägg till några kronor och ta ett hotell närmare centrala Rom, du kommer ändå spara in de pengarna bor du på Pinewood kommer du åka taxi ett par gånger..... Jag förstår inte riktigt hur det har fått 4 stjärnor.... En väldigt negativ sak var också att man får betala extra för internetuppkoppling, det känns rätt kass år 2011.... Hotellet var rätt tråkigt i allmänhet, frukosten ganska trist och hotellbaren väldigt dyr. Restaurangrekommendationerna vi fick av personalen på hotellet var dåliga också, vi hittade mycket bättre restauranger i närområdet på egen hand. Det finns en väldigt bra köttrestaurang på promenadavstånd, riktigt god mat och humana priser. Gå från hotellet mot "busstorget" som ligger i närheten, gå sedan vidare några hundra meter och in på någon av gatorna till vänster finns denna köttrestaurang.

Hôtel agréable mais beaucoup de bruit car situé près d'une route très fréquentée. Petit déjeuner assez moyen pour un trois étoiles. Bien situé pour prendre le bus ou le métro. Les alentours ne sont pas très agréables.

Limpio, bien mantenido y silencioso. A 10 minutos de la linea de metro. Cerca de tiendas de barrio y pequeños bares/restaurantes. Cerca de una parada final de autobuses metrapolitanos. El desayuno continental es muy completo.

The hotel is very clean, rooms are OK. The bath is not so small as indicated in some reviews. And there's nothing wrong with the neighborhood. The subway station is some 10-20 minutes walk away (depends on your speed), and it was OK for me.

El hotel destila una gloria pasada que no han sabido mantener, no reparando lo que se rompe ni cambiando lo que está obsoleto. La atención en la recepción no fue amable.

Hotel er nice n clean. We are satisfied with our room for 3 person it was big. Breakfast is ok. The receptionist are friendly but the location is a little far from the city but the bus station is just 3 minutes walk. One thing i dont like is the location its quiet but its far from the airport and it takes more than 30minutes to wait for a taxi from the hotel. luckily we didnt get late n d airport. Hotel is nice also if u have your own car with you.

Похоже, что римские гостиницы получают часть своих звёзд просто за факт нахождения в Риме, поэтому не ожидайте особой роскоши. Гостиница очень удобно расположена, рядом с метро, а через дорогу от неё находится pineta - великолепный сосновый бор. Потрясающие виды на Рим и купол собора Святого Петра. После прогулки по немного сумасшедшему городу, приятно оказаться в таком тихом месте.

L'hotel è situato in una posizione abbastanza comoda per il raggiungimento del centro di Roma, la zona è tranquilla e le condiziobni della struttura sono buone, certo la categoria (quattro stelle) non rispecchia il livello del servizio offerto che al massimo si può considerare pari ad una categoria in meno (tre stelle), tutto sommato, comunque, adeguato al prezzo richiesto.

Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits, ist aber von der U-Bahn in ca. 10-12 Minuten erreichbar. Oder man nimmt den Bus 994, der hält dann direkt vor dem Eingang. Das Hotel ist normal ausgestattet und sauber. Die unrenovierten Zimmer können ihr Alter nicht immer verleugnen. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist auskunftsfreudig und bemüht. Das Frühstück ist sehr übersichtlich. Abendessen wird nicht angeboten.

Friendly and quality service Quiet surroundings Clean rooms and well equipped, but... Very bad sound insulation between the rooms. Had to cope up with a noisy couple (only talkative, thanks god) next room from 2AM to 5AM. Rooms sound insulation should be part of a verified rating for each hotel.

bon rapport qualité/prix métro à 500 m mais on peut aussi utiliser les bus (plusieurs lignes devant l'hotel) en complément (1 ticket commun pour 75 minutes) petit déjeuner complet, sans prétention personnel sympa pas de chaine en français à la TV, dommage

Il rapporto prezzo albergo é sicuramente positivo. Certo per un 4 stelle non avere il mini bar in camera non me lo sarei aspettato. La camera era pulita, modena ma molto piccola....bagno moderno, doccia buona. buona la colazione.
