This hotel was very nice, very clean and comfortable. The room was a very nice size and a little more luxurious than a lot of the hotels I have stayed in in Zurich (chopard shower products was a plus).. It is a couple of blocks from the train station and the main city street.I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The ordinary exterior of the hotel and the dull and busy road it is located in belie the charming and comfortable interior. The staff are excellent, it is in fact quiet and the location near the station is very convenient.

Nice, clean and comfortable hotel in a good location.

A good choice. They try to be a little different from the usual city hotel. Very nice and friendly Chinese restaurant within the hotel.

The hotel was very nice, the lobby doesn't match the decor of the rooms. The rooms are very modern and chic with a comfortable bed and wonderful toiletries. The only issue we had was with getting directions using the transit system from the concierge. They seemed somewhat unwilling to explain to us even when asked direct questions. We asked about taking the train up the mountain which we had read about online and instead of giving us the options they tried to insist we book a tour and handed us pamphlets. I explained that wasn't what we wanted but that was the only option given. A little disappointed as usually you can rely on a concierge to be helpful.

overall is ok. Need a little improvement like some touch of asian food for breakfast and shower area is a bit small compare to hotels in Asia. Thanks,

Top-notch service, high-quality room. Short walk from train station. Five stars.

Excellent very helpful staff, perfect location (very close to main Zurich station and very close to Old Town and Most important Zurich Street), and great accommodation!

The hotel was nice enough, but the room was so small that there was hardly anywhere to put your luggage. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke English well and said she had given us one of their best rooms. That quite surprised us when we saw the size of it. We were glad we only stayed there one night. It would have been fine if you didn't have any luggage.

Friendly, helpful and professional staff from reception to concierge to bar and dining. Room was quiet, clean, and modern. It was all we could ask for and more than we expected.

Within close walking distance to centre and with excellent connection to public transport, especially central train station. Decor could use a freshen up to give the hotel a more contemporary feel but the staff make up for this by offering good, friendly, efficient service. Twin double glazed windows on the front (road) side cut out all street noise but on a downside, offer no opportunity for fresh air, so the room can get a bit stuffy. Overall though, a great, spacious, well maintained hotel in the centre of Zurich.

This hotel is close to the town centre but is obscured by a multiple lane road with heavy traffic. It's quite accessible anyway, and is very good value.

Hotel front desk staff was very helpful.

I thought the hotel was excellent for many reasons. It made you feel as if you were in a small cottage and the hotel was extremely clean and the staff was nothing less of excellent. The service was similar to what you expect at the Four Seasons, and specifically Rene greeted us when we got there and gave us a full tutorial of Zurich in 15 minutes. I normally don't write hotel reviews, but feel the service as average "Joe's" warranted a great review.

The people at the reception are rude! They do not pay attention to anything you say, it is so horrible for CONTINENTAL HOTEL. they do not even smile, it was our honeymoon, and we did not expect anything, but just a congratulation also could work! We think the behaviour of the reception people is so important, even the locationwas great, and rooms were good, but we will never stay there again

We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is within walking distance to all the major sights in Zurich (even a less than five minute walk to the train station). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable (we like soft mattresses, so we were happy with the bed and pillows). The price is well worth the convenience, service and cleanliness. Also, internet is included.

My mother and I met in Zurich for the weekend and had a wonderful stay at the Continental. The rooms were very comfortable, beds were great, housekeeping excellent, very clean, location good (walking distance to main railway and the old town, tram stop also very close by), internet service fast and reliable. The icing on the cake, however, was the staff: Every single one of the hotel staff was friendly, polite, helpful and warm which made for a truly outstanding experience. Particular thanks to Rene from the front desk for making our weekend so memorable by booking a truly outstanding restaurant for us, and also to Valentina of the breakfast staff for so warmly looking after us. We are looking forward to coming back.

Hotel was well located close to main station, lake and other tourist attractions. Hotel staff were friendly and very accomodating to our needs. Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast highly recommended.

The hotel is located nearby the main train station. The surrounding is quiet. A few restaurants just next to hotel. The room is clean and very comfortable. One disadvantage is that not much scenery when you look out of the hotel.

I stayed in this hotel many times before, and always enjoyed it. Hotel is located 5-7 minutes walk from central station. It is good value for money. Hotel is very close to touristy old city area, but slightly to the side (5-10 min walk), which makes it a nice quite area to stay in. Room was small, but good for one person. Room was clean and in good condition. Good service. The only complaint is that breakfast was very expensive, but this is typical for Switzerland, and hotel staff will try to accommodate breakfast options. I recommend to negotiate breakfast into room price, which will be a better deal.

Nice hotel and was close to the Tram and Old Town. Would stay here again.

Extremely overpriced. Hotel had no bellman when we arrived so our luggage sat outside on the curb of a major road until we moved it ourselves. Room had one electrical outlet located behind a nightstand making it almost impossible to use. Bathroom had no washcloth and when we requested them, we were given very large hand towels and told to use them as washcloth since they didn't have any. Requested an extra pillow which took 45 minutes to arrive. Hotel management needs help!

Having stayed in some beautiful hotels, I was most disappointed with the quality of this one. It is dowdy and the massive collection of wooden furniture in your room is somewhat oppressive, especially when you can't pull the curtains due to a view of a carpark! The female staff at reception were very helpful especially after I made a complaint regarding the quality of our bed. They gave us free parking and turndown service to apologise. However, the mattress still looked like a banana due to its age and was very uncomfortable. The proximity to the centre of the city is acceptable and easily within walking distance. I was disappointed with the bathroom which looked like it belonged to a motel; the blinds above the bath where 'caged in' so customers couldn't pull them which is fine except they weren't closed properly and as you took a shower the gaps in the blinds clearly showed the street below and therefore you could be seen. Hugely disappointed with this hotel and would not stay there again nor recommend to friends.

the hotel is very nice, located close to the main train station and just up the street from a trolley station. this makes getting around Zurich very nice.

Great, very helpful and polite, English-speaking staff including concierage. Food was not that great, especially considering how expensive it was, but good restaurants and downtown shops are within walking distance. The tram/trolleys are right outside the front door. Main train station and excursion starting point are within walking distance.

Overall I was very satisfied with my stay, albeit 1 night....free wifi was a bonus too, and the breakfast options were comprehensive....

This was the first time I stay at this hotel. I have always stayed in Grand Hayatt, Zurich. This hotel seems very nice and confortable one for business and pleasure stay too. The hotel position is quite close to everything in the downtown and it is quite hotel. I enjoyed my stay.

This hotel's rating belies its faults. For all the positives, like convenient parking, free wifi, etc. the overall impression leaves a foul taste due to careless service. For example, on checking in we arrived an hour early and our room was understandably not ready, so we walked into town and stayed almost 3 hours. Upon our return we realized our room was still not ready, nor had they checked us in! The reception's excuses were amazing after her discussions with room staff (she did not realize we understood German!). The second day the room was left unmade all afternoon, and on our late return we had to ask for it to be made.. ..A new eperience for us in such a pricey hotel. A final example is the sloppy breakfast service; no eggs available at buffet at 8:30 am, and request of a poached egg took 45 mins instead of the promised 3 minutes. We left being less than impressed.

Very comfy bed, good location close to the train station, staff very professional. Will book again next time in Zurich.

Very polite staff, helpful. Room clean, but not the cleanest for Switzerland (bathroom counter had residue from previous guest's product...), the bathroom door slides shut, which is not really that private if you're in the room with someone else.

Good location, on tram lines and very close to the central station. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless. My only (minor) complaint is that the room was a bit cramped, but not exceedingly so by European standards.

Very pleasant staff, nice rooms and convienent location to sights to include Lake Zurich. Breakfast is over priced but our only complaint.

This is a great hotel to stay in Zurich as it is close to the Zurich HB. The wireless internet is free yet really fast. The only negative is that the bed is not as comfortable as I hoped for.

Very nice hotel. Easy walk to old town.

Comfortable room, within walking distance of the main train station, but if you have bags, grab a cab if you can. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was great! ONLY drawback was internet - you can only buy in increments of 15, 30 and 60 minutes. Apparently they're in dispute with swisscom over something. If you're there on business and need to work for several hours, buying internet every 60 minutes is a major, multi-web page hassle.
