THE HOTEL WAS NICE, CLEAN, AND AFFORDABLE! ALL OF THE STAFF WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND KIND. NO COMPLAINTS ON MY BEHALF!

horrible, paid for a king size room...got a handicapped room with a small bed that my husband and i barely fit on.said that was all they had for the night even tho i had been booked for two weeks.....no tub to bath grandson...would not stay there again

We would recommend this hotel and we would stay here on our next visit to Norfolk. The room and the hotel were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly, and assisted us with finding locations and points of interest, in Norfolk. We always look for Hampton Inns whenever we travel. Keep up the good work.

Well to start I was not pleased with the fact that I asked for a smoking room and there was not one available when I arrived....Was also not aware of the "ONLY IF AVAILABLE" procedure! Then when I got to the hotel wanted to take a shower and the water would not get hot, called front desk and was told to run the sink and shower water at the same time until it gets hot. That remedy did work......But Really......is that what needs to be to take a shower? Overall I would not recommend Hotels.com to ANYONE and would think twice about recommending the Hampton Inn as well!!!

I was VERY pleased with everything about my stay. The only problem I had was on the last night. I had very, noisy neighbors....all night long. I talked to management twice & they tried to quiet them. It worked for a while. I ended up with a horrible night's sleep before my 7 hr. drive home. The hotel refunded my last night's stay with a voucher for a free night at any Hampton Inn. Yea!! Go Hampton Inn!! Now THAT'S customer service and I will not hesitate to stay with Hampton again.

(Review by E. S.) We were staying for just one night. For starters, let me say that the hotel was undergoing construction improvements throughout. So I'll give a pass on the unimpressive walkway leading to our room. The room itself was basic, clean and no frills. We just wanted a place for the night before getting back on the road the next morning. Mind you we arrived late in the evening and wanted to grab a shower and call it a night. Alas, our shower was not functional. Yep. Needless to say I was livid. Oh, and the hotel was fully booked so we could not be switched to another room. It took about a hour to get the maintenance guy (very nice, BTW) up to assist and got the problem resolved. The reception rep offered a nearby "inactive" (?) room to shower in case the problem wasn't resolved. Seriously? How about a refund so that we could book another hotel? I had a flashback to college dorm life. Not what I expected from a hotel as a paying customer. Like I said the problem was ultimately resolved, but not without undue stress during what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend. (Coaching point to Hampton Inn: Make sure that everything in each room is functional BEFORE a new guest arrives.) Now let's move to breakfast the next day. Again, we were lucky there was anything left when we got downstairs (9:15-9:30 ish) b/fast ends at 10, I believe. Not a great selection, just something to put in your stomach before heading out. The kitchen was not fully functional, so it appeared to us that the understaffed team was scrambling. Again, we were told that the construction was to blame. Oh well. I probably would not stay here again because I feel that there has to be a complete transformation of their view of customer service. We weren't expecting a 5-star experience from this place, but we've stayed at other Hampton Inns in FL and VA and the experience was much much better. So the critique is for this hotel not the chain. I was very pleased at the quality of experience at this facility. The staff was wonderful and the building was clean and new. I was also pleased at the breakfast and the internet in the rooms. I spilled coffee and without saying anything, a staffer was there cleaning it up for me. I went to get in the spa and it was cold. I no more than got out of the water before a staff member was there working on the problem. The only down-side was the location. It was very industrial. Not pictured was the large electrical station on the other side of the hotel. There wasn't anything attractive about the surrounding area.

We've stayed here several times because the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and it is convenient for us. They also have a very nice breakfast. The only negative is that the bed is so high that I have a hard time getting into it, but that seems to be the style these days.

This Hampton Inn is conveniently located near the base, restaurants, and the highway. It was clean, service was friendly, and generally in good condition. One of our rooms had an unusually loud air conditioner, but that was the only maintenance issue. The breakfast good for a "free" breakfast. The free wireless internet worked well, but like some hotels it was slower than expected. It was good enough for us, but might be annoying if you need to use a VPN connection for work. I don't remember if the room had a wired connection.

The hotel was easy to get to when driving. It is up to date with well kept amenities. Very close to the areas I needed to facilitate my visiting my son who was on base for training at that time.

check-in was easy and efficient. the breakfast was good and the room stayed clean. the lady cleaning up, a hotel employee, was friendly and happy and went out of her way to help us out.

The hotel was very clean. the staff was friendly and very helpful with directions. Only thing was the breakfast area was small and it didn't really have a great selection on breakfast items. The indoor pool liked dirty nd the bathroom toilet some dried up stains on it. The carpet was clean and the sheets was all white. So it looked clean if it wasn't.
