We went to a hockey game which was at Maddison Square Garden. We have stay in a couple of other hotels that were right across the street from the stadium. The places that we stayed at were not even close to the quality of New York Marriott East Side. Just 0.7 miles aways,very,very clean bigger rooms. Very satisfied.

Everyrhing was great except the fridge didn't work in our room.

I am writing to express the poor service I received when I check in to the Marriot Hotel as recommended by Hotel.com on Feb. 9 – 11 , 2012. I had check in the hotel and they front desk told me that breakfast were not included on the package that I had booked. I showed her the reservation letter that the breakfast were included. Then she asked from her Manager and told me that I can go and have breakfast. But to my surprise when I looked at my credit card bill as of to date, I was charge for the breakfast and I was also charge for one night stay. I immediately called the Hotel about the charges, I was pass to the customer services so many times and put on hold and then the line hung up. I called again the same scenario put on hold and finally I give up. I just called my credit card company and filed a dispute to those charges. After all this experience I think I will not use Hotel.Com and rather make a reservation directly to the hotel of my choice. And lastly I would not receommend to my friends Hotel.Com and Marriot Hotel in NY East Side.

As a 24 year old women I felt as if I was treated like a lepar! I paid for breakfast, was told where it was located and when I arrived there I was told there was no breakfast! I left 300.00 hair extensions in my room and when I called the hotel I was told there was someone already in my room so I was not able to get them! Stay away from this hotel!! Worst guest services ever! I was treated as an annoyance rather then a paying guest! Stay away from this hotel, Shame on you Marriott!

We chose this hotel mainly because of the previous reviews and the name Marriot. In general it is quite good, very close to metro stops, easy to access major sights in New York. It is kind of old but obvioulsy rennovated. The main problems we had were the front desk staff were not smling at all, and one day nobody came to clean the room until I made a call. Some of the standard rooms are just on noisy street corner. If you don't mind such kind of things, it could be your choice then.

The staff was exceptional, from check in to wait staff to bellman (Cesar, I think, was his name). The hotel is lovely, the elevators unusually fast, the location easy, the rooms large. I'm from CA so the heating system's speed is crucial for me in winter, and this was very quick and efficient. Excellent hotel.

Great location as just a few blocks from Rockefeller Center and Times Square. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and room was nothing short of what you should expect from a Marriott.

The best location in the World, but the room is very mediocre, price is high for a room that is not very big, and huge minus that the windows reminded me a bit of a jail, very small and outdated. Everything else is great.

Though this hotel is in a prime location and has great facilities - minus a pool - the hotel has the most rude and discourteous staff ever. They were most unhelpful and did very little to help. Not to mention anything over and above the room rate costs extra including breakfast and Internet. Not impressed, though it looks beautiful. They also gave me a very hard time because we booked with hotels.com and to them it was license to treat me like a 3rd class guest.

Everyone, especially the doorman apologizing for the delay in bringing around our car, was extremely thoughtful and helpful. The room was spacious by New York standards, but the bed was disappointing for a four-star hotel. The mattress was a bit lumpy, and my husband and I drifted in toward the middle when we didn't want to! It should be easier to change channels on the workout room's weight area TV. Other than that, very nice hotel, great location.

Had a great experience at this hotel this past weekend. The hotel was very clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The location is great with close access to the subway and trains. You are near enough to the "action" of the downtown area - but far enough away so that the noise and crowds are not bothersome. I highly recommend this hotel.

I found this Marriott to be a fine property with the exception of two service issues. The rooms are large by New York standards and the hotel is in a very convenient location. The first issue I encountered was in the form of a large cockroach that I found in the room. I called down to the front desk to ask if they could send up pest control to inspect the room. A maintenance worker came to my room and looked under the bed and behind the radiator with a flashlight for others but took no other action. I wasn't confident that this inspection of the room was particularly thorough but, when I asked if there were any pest control measures they could take, I was just told that the spray regularly. The second issue occurred when I hung the breakfast request card on my door. I left the card on the door at 9 pm on a Saturday. I went out for the evening and, when I returned after the card collection time, the card was still on my door. I called down to the front desk to let them know that the card hadn't been collected. The front desk attendant said she would send someone up to collect the card. I went to sleep and when I woke up in the morning, the card hadn't been collected. I called down again and they sent up breakfast (free of charge, which was nice) but I still ended up running late due to the delay. All in all, I would say this is a nice hotel but I think they need to get the service side of the business in order.

Your staff was so accomodating to my mother. She is in bad health and to transport her around, we rented a scooter for the weekend. The staff was so accomodating when the scooter was delivered and for it's storage during the night. Thanks so much for a wonderful weekend and we look forward to staying there again during our next stay in NYC!

There is no free internet conection in the public areas as advertised. The rest is OK

I would stay at less expensive places in the same area.

You can not beat this midtown location. Also, the staff was great, esp given a special circumstance we encountered. The rooms can be small, but since this is an old hotel, they do vary. I was traveling with VIP Marriott folks and they had much larger rooms. But all rooms were clean, nicely furniished with small bathrooms - it is NYC. It is remodeling of lobby and restaurant, that is a current drawback.

I was surprised at check-in when I was told I have to pay for breakfast. After I showed the booking details the front desk attendant went to check with the manager . Finally i had the breakfast included, but i had to explain everyday at breakfast.

This hotel was in a great location for our trip, shopping and meeting friends for dinner and cocktails. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very large and quiet for a NYC hotel. We will definantely stay here again!

This hotel sits right behind the Waldorf-Astoria, so it's a good deal for a place in the heart of midtown. Everything was very convenient - including valet parking. Rooms were small but neat. The only thing I really have to complain about was the pillows on the beds. They were the most nonsensical shapes and sizes I've ever seen. The choice was between enormous overstuffed and tiny flat ones and I couldn't find one that I was comfortable sleeping on. As a result, Ididn't sleep very well (which is kind of the point of a hotel). Maybe it's just me. Otherwise, this seems like a good choice at a reasonable price for Manhattan.

The rooms have been remodeled with new comfy beds, wonderful shower head and coffeemaker with lots of selections.

I like a nice lobby, where I can crash and relax without being in my room. This hotel has no lobby. Just a holding cell for those waiting for their car or taxi. I was told my room wouldn't be available until 10pm, and this was at 3:15pm. I had to fight to get my room, being told the written check-in time was just a "suggestion," and not a guarantee. I went to NYC to have a good time, and didn't want to fight with the hotel. This was an unfortunate way to start. My room was large and basic. A picture was missing from the wall, with just 3 hooks in view. The guest across the hall left trash in a Walmart bag outside their door, which was there throughout my stay. Nothing memorable, but nothing too bad either. The 3.5 star rating is accurate. I would stay here again if I couldn't find anything else.

Located within walking distance to many NYC attractions. Grand Central Station just a few short blocks. Staff very attentive and accomdating especially with storing baggage before and after check-in. Stay away from lower floors if possible, for a quieter stay.

My fiance and I stayed at this Marriott for a single night during a long weekend. Even though the hotel was very crowded and frantic, the management and staff went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. The location of the hotel was wonderful and convenient, providing easy access to local resources and sights. Also, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort of the both the room and the common areas. Overall we had a very positive experience with the Marriott and would definitely stay there again.

Got an awesome price on our hotel room, and the hotel was awesome. It is in a very good location and very safe part of NYC! Great Location there is a lot to do within walking distance of the Hotel.

très bel hôtel, bel emplacement, propre, service excellent, stationnement intérieur cependant le coût des choses est assez dispendieux mais situé en plein coeur de New York et de tous les attractions principal de Manhatan

Ubicazione centrale situato in ottima posizione a poche centinaia di metri dalla 5 strada. . Il personale era molto disponibile ed accogliente. La camera era piccola ma confortevole e pulita.Non esiterei a ritornarci

El hotel es excelente, la vista desde el gimnasio es maravillosa. Dos comentarios menores : En invierno es necesario controlar el aire de la puerta lateral de la entrada principal cada vez que se abre para entrar equipaje. El esfuerzo de la puerta giratoria se pierde con esta corriente. El tema WIFI es indispensable de atacar ya. El vecino Radisson tiene FreeWIFI en el Hall de acceso, en este hotel es a conección de cable en las habitaciones y caro.

No es posible que se le asigne una cama king para tres adultos, esto es muy incomodo y nos acaba de pasar. No es posible que nos despierten todos los días a las seis de la mañana y no lo puedan solucionar. No es posible que la housemaker todos los días nos despierte a las nueve de la mañana a pesar de que se le diga que no llame tan temprano. Gracias

2ダブルベットでリクエストしていたが、チェックインの際に満室になっていた為、1キングサイズベッドで高層階の角部屋にアップグレードしてもらい満足の対応でした。

Está a 15 min de times square, nuetra habitación era bastante amplia, inusual en NY, todo muy bien en general, el único problema es que la habitación aun estando en el piso 17 tenía muchísimo ruido de la calle, y eso en NY es un poco desagradable, pues tocan el claxon a cada instante el tráfico es un poco estresante.
