Having traveled all over Europe I can honestly say this place had the best breakfast anywhere!! Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Good and large breakfast selection

Stayed here with the family en route to Munich airport. Two lovely rooms, extremely comfortable, quiet, and spotlessly clean. Great staff, great breakfast, easy parking.

A great place to stay. 10 minutes walk to the S Bahn with services every 20 minutes to Munich or the airport. Freindly, helpful staff. Cosy bar & very good restaurant. Hard to fault.

We took the Sbahn to get to the hotel. When we got off, there is just a platform, no station to ask anyone directions. We were lucky that there was a guy that was passing by on a walk that was staying at the hotel to show us where to go to get to it. We were pulling luggage behind us as well as carrying some and it was in the 40's and getting dark, so it was not an ideal situation for trying to find the hotel if we were on our own. It was about a block on a walking path, then a blacktopped road, then the sidewalk for a couple more blocks until you get to the hotel. It might be more convenient to give written directions on their website instead of a map, that looks like it is within sight of the train station. The walk isn't bad once you know where you are going. The neighbors were very noisy, too, so it was hard to sleep in the morning. But the food in the restuarant was delicious and the free breakfast excellent also.

This hotel has great attributes. It is conveniently located near (but not too close) to Munich Airport. It has warm alpine decor charm. The room we stayed in was very clean with ironed sheets! Truly deserves its star rating.

I was very impressed with this Hotel. Very clean and the room was very large and comfortably furnished. The bathroom was also very large. We had a great supper at the Hotel's Restaurant. Our breakfast was included and the breakfast buffet was also very good and had something for every taste. Parking is free and the access to get back on the autobahn is very close . The staff was very friendly and explained how to use the public transportation to see Dachau and downtown Munich. The S-Bahn station is only 10 minutes walk from the Hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is very nice. The breakfast is one of the best I've ever enjoyed. The only downside of the place is the dated decor in the rooms.

Clean and causy hotel but not very near to the center of munich.

The room was clean and comfy. Bathroom was larger than most in Europe that we have stayed. The food was awsome we had dinner and breakfast. Convenient to airport. Although there was no AC it was still comfortable. But if staying in summer might not be so much. We did get some mosquito bites from leaving the windows open. That was the only downfall. Everything else was great including all the staff.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Unfortunately, on the first evening we found the room very warm as it was facing the front of the hotel and had the sun during the afternoon. However, we were given another room at the back of the hotel which was smaller and a lot cooler. The foodf in the restaurant was very good. All in all we would recommend the hotel.

Stayed one night i august 2011 Pros: - Fantastic breakfast - Helpful and friendly staff - Close an easy access to the airport - Free parking outside the hotel (without security but felt safe) - Petrol station 50m from the hotel Cons: - Room full of oversized and heavy furniture which made it very tight - No air condition. When I enter a hotel room I like the air to be cool and fresh. This summer evening it was the complete opposite. The same goes for the corridor outside. Fortunately we could open the windows.

Very special. A lovely hotel with outstanding service for guests. The breakfast is probably the best we have ever enjoyed and is included in the price. We have travelled a lot, so this is saying much! Only complaint - air conditioning either didn't work well, or was not available in the rooms. Otherwise, would highly recommend this hotel as a solid one in which to stay.

Very cozy with extremely helpful and friendly staff, great buffet breakfast. You better drive to Airport though. I recommend it very much.

The hotel is a short drive from Munich Airport, though not a cookie-cutter airport hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, even though we arrived very late at night. There is secure parking too. The breakfast (included on our rate) was very good. This hotel definitely comes recommended.

My wife and I arrived and checked in quite late and were hungry. Being vegetarian, our menu selection is typically small to begin with, but their kitchen was already closed anyway. The front desk staff scrambled to try to call up a local pizza delivery for us and found a place but it was closing soon for the night. Resigned to having potato chips in our room, the bartender came around the corner with gigantic salads with all sorts of cheeses and bread. A bottle of wine and a cool bar atmosphere was certainly welcome and made the stay here so nice. All the tourist attractions and the enormous history of Germany will always be remembered, but it's people like this that adds an extra pleasant element to the memories. Thanks.

15mins drive from the airport with ample private parking.Room practical, clean and well fitted out, great for an overnight stay. Very good evening meal and a comprehensive spread at breakfast - all you need from a pleasant charecter hotel for a convinient stop over when flying from/to Munich airport. Much more relaxing and interesting than a 'plastic chain' hotel. Friendly and welcoming staff also! - and very resonably priced.

Located close to Munich Airport near a small town the hotel has a nice patio for dining and helpful, friendly staff. Walking around the hotel and town is beautiful and interesting.

Needed to be within a short drive of MUC, and this was very good for that. I had a car and parking was free. Ate one dinner and two breakfasts at the hotel. Food was surprisingly good. Only complaint was that the staff did not warn me that breakfast was an extra charge, but the breakfast was a good value so I didn't mind that much. The long walk to the Bahn involved some exercise---so that's good and bad.

We booked the hotel as a convenient lay-over stop for an early flight from Munich Airport (15 minutes drive). What an unexpected and pleasant surprise! Exceptional value for the room with breakfast - I've stayed in a lot more expensive hotels which have been significantly less well appointed! Also, as we arrived not knowing the area needed to get dinner, so stopped at the hotel restaurant - what a great find! Food was excellent and not at all expensive. Would definitely stay again. Party: 2 adults + 1 child

Pros: - Kueche - ausgezeichnetes Essen/Restaurant - Lage (hinsichtlich Entfernung zum Airport) - Gastfreundlichkeit - Sauberkeit - sehr gutes Pres/Leistungsverhaeltnis Cons: - Wasser im Bad war nur lauwarm - Wifi/WLAN funktionierte nicht (anders als versprochen)

Very nice hotel. Large room close to Eching S-Bahn train, as well as grocery store, bakery, and excellent Bavarian restaurant. Great room rate. Friendly at check-in, very clean room.

About 10-15 min drive to MUC. Great service, good breakfast, cozy lobby. Second time we've overnighted before international flight. Wife and I and both kids accommodated in same room, rare in Europe. Hotel could use some upgrades but rooms and bathroom were clean and functional. Will probably return next year.

This is the fourth time I stayed at this hotel. I like to stay there since it is relatively close to the Munich Airport and the hotel is covenient to areas around Munich I need to visit for business. The hotel has a great breakfast and a small bar and a good restaurant. Though I stay at the hotel for business, in the summer of 2009 I met three families from the U.S. who were staying at the hotel on a European visit. The rooms are larger than most rooms I have staying in in Europe.

We spent three nights in Eching at the Golden Tulip and we were very pleased with our stay. We were able to check in early and we were given an "apartment" versus the regular room. This allowed us a tiny kitchen area (cook top, sink, dishes) which made it very convenient to eat in the room. In addition, the location is very convenient - with a grocery store right across the parking lot and a bakery and Apothetek right down the street (in walking distance). Unfortunately, we did get sick (respiratory infection) while we were visiting Germany. The gentleman at the front desk gave us the name of a doctor to go see. We later learned that the doctor was no longer there - but we got in to see another doctor in the same location. Very, very happy with our stay!

we oredered two seperate nights in the hotel.In the begining and ending the tour. Our first night was fine,we have got nice room with bad for infant as expected. The seconded night we got smaller room with place just for us and the infant bed was stuck in the corner of the room without place to move and all our belonging stuck the door. Im not recomending on that hotel!

We were given a one bedroom self contained apartment which was a pleasent surprise. In a suburban neighbourhood, about 20km north of Munich. But if you have a car easy to access Dachau. Room had no A/C so became a little hot.

The hotel was a very good value (large room/apartment with kitchenette), and only about 10-15 minutes drive to Munich airport, and very convenient to the highway. We stayed only one night, just before returning home by air the next morning. However, their "climate controlled" room did NOT have any noticeable AC (it looked like steam-heated radiators). Luckily the outside temperature was cool, so it was not a problem for us. Perhaps they "control" the temperature throughout the building. In my opinion the hotel was a marginal 4* (maybe a high 3*. But the price was very good, and it was fine for our very short stay. The restaurant looked nice, but we did not eat there. The surrounding town seemed fine enough, but nothing too exciting.... although it looked like BMW was nearby (maybe a tour next time?). There is a nice local beer garden (2 minute walk), a small market next door, and a gas station next door. The beer garden was filled with locals and provided great food for modest prices. It was NOT fancy. The service was very friendly at the beer garden. The hotel restaurant seemed nice enough, although a bit expensive for the family. We did not have breakfast at the hotel.

This is a great hotel in a very good location. I was upgraded to a suite at no extra cost. Modern, and clean. Just great. Would recommend it to anyone. One drawback, no AC and it was hot in Munich. Walking distance to the S Bahn. No shuttle to the airport but a taxi was 30 euro. Great breakfast for an extra 9 euro.

This was a very comfortable hotel, convenient to Munich Airport with a very good but reasonably priced restaruant. Our room was a small apartment with light cooking facilities, desk, dining table and sofa in one room and separate bedroom and bath. Full breakfast was optional allowing for an economical stay.

Several rooms in this hotel within 100 feet of a very busy road. If you get a room away from the road, the hotel is clean and decent. For business travelers, the free WiFi did not work in my room. Even working from the bar, close the router, the wifi did not work well enough to do e-mail. Dinner in the resturant cost more than the room. Hot water pressure was low. On the bright side the room was clean, bed was comfortable and 90% of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. If we had a room away form the road noise, I would recommend the hotel.

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT,THE BED MATTRESS NEEDED A LITTLE MORE FIRMNESS. GREAT PRICE AND VERY NICE HOTEL,NOT FAR FROM THE AIRPORT BUT FAR ENOUGH NOT TO HEAR OR SEE ANY PLANES

We were very happy with this room. It was only about 15 minutes from the airport, driving. We had an apartment room which is actually a living room and a seperate bedroom - very comfortable beds. I would recommend this to anyone with a car.

This hotel was so wonderful!!! It is just outside of munich but for the money it is very worth it. They have large rooms and a kitchen. They had an awesome staff that was so helpful and there breakfast buffet was great. There was anything and everything that you could imagine there ( I ate alot and I have food allergies). This place is a definite must.

You will not find a better hotel in Munich for this price! This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel looks even better in real life than in the pictures. It has a traditional feel but looks very new and so clean. We had a family room which was more like an appartment. Had a seperate master bedroom, bathroom and lounge with a proper made up bed for our son. Mini bar was good and not too expensive. You even get a mini kitchen with hob to cook on! It's a good location, about 10mins walk from Eching S-Bahn station. 15mins on the train from the airport and about 20mins from Eching to Munich city centre. There is a bio supermarket opposite but just by the train station is a Penny Markt if you want to buy some low cost food. The Chinese resturant opposite the hotel is brilliant but the food in the hotel's resturant is lovely and breakfast was great with a help yourself option. Overall, I highly commend this hotel and have no doubt over staying here, you will not regret it. Will be staying here again when we return to Munich.

Everything and everybody was just better than expected! If you try to book a smoking room it may be a surprise that they are Non Smoking only since January. Looking forward to come back to this location.

Great value. Near good restaurants. Shops are close. Easy to get to from the freeway.
