The location was great. The condition of the hotel was below standards for us and we stayed in a room that had been renovated.

Certainly appreciated the convenience of parking my car at the Alcoa Days Inn during the time I was gone. The shuttle van to and from the airport simplified everything.

The hotel was very quiet, seeing as there were planes flying over regularly, so much that unless you were outside, or had your door open, you could not hear the planes. The room was fine, however, it could have been a little cleaner in the bath area, so good thing I carry my own Lysol. The beds were very comfortable, even though we ended up with 2 regular beds, after booking a king size, with an animal, so that was a little disappointing, but other than that, it was still a pleasant stay.

This hotel is in very poor condition. The beds have the ultra thin mattress covers that are both scratchy, dirty, and too thin to keep you warm.

Very, very bad experience. Room dirty, smell was bad. First thing that happened was that we were given a key toa room that had someone in it. Given another key to a room that must not have been stayed in for months or years. Late in evening so we stayed but slept in clothes and put our clothes , over the pillows because of smell. Got up at 3 am to leave (wife unable to sleep) and take a shower, black water came out of shower. Don't even think about staying in this place.

I have traveled thoughout the united states and this is by far my worst experience ever. Luckily I was only there one night. There were spider webs all over the room, there were 3 dead cockeroaches inside the REFRIGERATOR. I killed a roach that was crawling on the wall. and one even crawled on my arm while i was asleep. We also had to remove the top sheet off the bed because of the dirty spots and bloodstains. atleast the under sheets and the pillow cases looked clean enough to sleep on for a few hours. My girlfriend and i slept on top of the covers and couldnt wait till daylight so we could leave. now i know the true meaning of a roach motel.. Days Inn.. Never Again.....

The hotel is under renovation, no noise but not clean.

I had been in a car accident earlier in the day while going on vacation; we didn't plan on spending the night in Knoxville but the folks a hotels.com were able to find a room at Days Inn right away. After a long dreadful afternoon dealing with my totaled car, it was nice to get to the hotel and relax (or try to). The hotel staff was very nice and took me to a car rental place the next morning.

Two words...Roach Problem!!!

The room was clean, however, the door didn't seem real secure, once I thought I had it locked from inside and then checked it a little later and it was not closed the whole way. The Alcoa highway is terrible! There are NO traffic lights to help you get across the roads. Why don't they have traffic lights along this road. Doesn't make since to have these motels/hotels on this road and have it so hard to get turned the way you want to go when you leave. Otherwise, the location was convenient for where we were traveling to each day, it just took some extra time trying to get out onto the highway to turn left instead of turning right (you had to turn right, and then find a turn around to turn left on and wait for the oncoming traffic).

This Days Inn is pretty old and worn out. It is an old fashioned motel with the rooms opening to the exterior and facing a courtyard with swimming pool. The place was tidy, but rundown - like no capital improvements had been made in long time. Checked in very late after night football game and was told we could have a late checkout. Broken-english speaking cleaning staff began beating on door at 10:00 a.m. demanding that room be vacated and continued to harass us over the next hour. Don't plan to stay there again.

My boyfriend and I frequently stay at budget hotels when we travel, we're looking for clean, low price, with free breakfast and often close to the airport depending on our plans. We are not overly picky. This hotel was okay, but was on the lower end of our experience with budget motels. This hotel was not in good shape. There were broken windows on rooms, old air conditioners laying in the grass behind our room. Breakfast was disappointing compared to what we have had at other Days Inn. The shuttle was prompt and the night desk clerk was very courteous. Be aware that the desk clerk and shuttle drive are one in the same so you may need to call a couple of times before someone picks up. There are several hotels near the airport. This one was the farthest from restaurants that were in walking distance in the area. We were supposed to stay at the hotel a second night but opted for another hotel closer to walking distance restaurants because we were without a car. That hotel was only $10 more per night and in much better condition. It felt safer and cleaner than our night at the Days Inn. The additional $10/night was definitely worth it.

when getting two rooms it would nice if they were next to each other.

This hotel is right down the street from McGhee-Tyson airport, but the location and its relative inexpensiveness is not worth it. While the front desk staffer was cordial and helpful, the condition of the room and the facility was rather shabby: clean, but poorly maintained, which made you question whether the place *was* actually clean. More importantly, the airport hosts an Air National Guard base, and when training takes place, you hear everything. You also hear all of your neighbors. We slept with the light on and the TV on to try to drown out our surroundings. Consider another hotel.

I got and needed a reasonable place to stay. It tends to get bad review because it's across the street from the airport. Not a big deal to me. Just stick the ipod or the ear plugs in if the planes bother you. Otherwise, good stay for the money.

The Days Inn looks fine from the outside; in fact, it's grounds are nicely kept and the rooms open out onto a spacious courtyard with a good size outdoor pool. The rooms have been updated with new bedding, furniture, and wall decor. Unfortunately, this seems to be the place for loud, tattooed men and women who congregate in the stairwells, sidewalks and balconies, smoking, and drinking. This is NOT the place to stay if you are traveling alone, as I was. There is NO breakfast as advertised online, and the night front desk clerk was extremely rude and downright unwilling to allow me to check out early in order to find a safer place to stay. The manager, however, was friendly and committed to making things right. This is a fine place if you don't have qualms about who's your neighbor and what is going on outside.

When this place says it's close to the airport, they aren't kidding! Your literally in the approach pattern, at times I felt like some of the larger military refueler's were going to land on the hotel. If your looking for peace and quiet, look elsewhere. If you can sleep through a tornado, it's just fine!

The two staff people I interfaced with (one checking in and out on Fri night//Sat early morn, other leaving Sun night) were very nice. The property is very convenient to TYS and the free shuttle was great. Less than 5 minutes to the security area...won't talk about the wait there...another story..lots of restaurants within 1 mile of property. i would recommend it to others.

The hotel was OK, They forgot to clean my room on one day, leaving no coffee or taking out the trash. I could hav said something but I wasjust too tired. Otherwise, it was a room and a bed. Breakfast wasgreat butthat isn't the most important thing for me. Thank you.

Our first impression was a correct one...an obvious prostitute walked out of the room next to ours when we parked the car. Our room smelled like baby powder, and not the real stuff. Knowing that hotels do not use products that smell like that, the only other explaination was that the room was used for the hour just before we arrived. The carpet was sticky. There were boogers on the wall in the bathroom, the 30 year-old wallpaper was peeling, and the comforters seemed like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The website says that the beds are queen size, but we only found 2 full-size beds. This is the most disgusting "Name-Brand" hotel I've ever visited, and if it was not a non-refundable purchase, we would have rather slept in the car. Stay away from this place!

No one was at the desk when I arrived. The only employee had run to the airport to pick up a guest. The curtains would not completely close and the alarm clock was broken. But the price was low and the room was clean.

I have stayed there twice and will not stay there again. The breakfast is minimal, the rooms and property are poorly maintained, even for a Days Inn, and the internet service was horrible, constantly dropping signal.

Very reasonable for the price. Not top-notch, but very reasonable. Convenient as it is very close to the airport if you are coming in late, as we were. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Just stayed one night on buisness room was clean and spacious coffee pot was odd and tv remote barely worked but over all a good stay

I can not believe that I would have anything bad to say about a Days Inn, but oh my. This hotel was disgusting: I was in a non-smoking room but could smell the smoke from the smoking room opposite of me, the carpet smelled sour and I wouldn't even take my socks off, by the end of the evening my socks were BLACK, there was cochroaches and spiders in the room. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of my room. I am definately going to call the health inspector on this hotel. I hope they shut them down!

close to airport/confrence center. access requires some u turns to get to entrance but nice hotel for the price - would stay again.

Room was nothing fancy - staff helpful - of course noisy it is located at end of a flight pattern - but airport is not busy all night. More of a "motel" type accomodation.

Ok, great location, rooms are dirty and need work done to them (shower was about 4 feet high, and head was falling apart, the water came out of the tap as much as the head) the toilet was nasty, the floors were very dirty, the room stunk, a terrible odour. The door wouldnt shut tight, could see out through it. Cable tv wouldn't work... was just not a good place at all.....

good clean cheap place to stay. only downfall was breakfast not too good. but for the price you cant beat it.

NOT FOR FEMALES TRAVELING ALONE! I booked this hotel by mistake, but didn't realize it until I arrived and it was too late to cancel. Hotel was full of questionable people. It was clear the door of the 1st room had been kicked in several times and it had a 1/2" gap where you could see right outside. They were put off when I asked for another room. 2nd room took a good 5 minutes of pushing, pulling, lifting to get the deadbolt to to lock and smelled terribly of smoke. I absolutely did not feel safe. Prank calls to my room most of the night. Refused to use the tub/shower--unclean. They clearly don't launder the top bedding--gross. 100% will not make the mistake of booking here again. Price I paid was much too high for this room (esp. in comparison to their weekly rate - red flags there). Much nicer hotels for comparable price less than a 1/2 mile up the road. I could not get out of there fast enough.

The airport noise is not pleasant. Room was reasonably clean and comfortable for a quick overnight stay. Older property. Just don't expect much. You get about what you pay for.

This place is a dump with all kind of "seedy" looking characters around. Filthy room with a door that didn't close completely and the room smelled like cigarettes.

We arrived at night. Frontdesk staff was courteous, and helpfull. Check- in was within minutes. Nice, clean room and most of all nice clean bath room. We stayed for 3 days and are completely satisfied. Whatever they advertise are true. I would recommend 100% to anyone wants to stay here.

wifi did not work weak signal. Paper thin walls next to an airport... need I say more.
