No elevator, no real lobby, No true AC. This was not a good hotel. Now the location, beach proximity is about all I can reccomend.

Elevator doesn't work

The location was just what we wanted but we should have paid more and get a better place. This was run down. The elevator didn't work, the ice machine didn't work. The bed was well worn but the sheets were clean. The breakfast was adequate which was a nice surprise after the state of the room.

The hotel was very near the beach but far from nightlife and shabby.

it was cool

Lobby looks old and dirty, hall, stairway and room rug it's very dirty, room door won't stay closed unless it was hard slammed, no cooler on room, bathtub clogged after a day maintenance fix it, no curtain on bathroom window which was right on front of toilet and the building next door could see everything that was going down, air conditioner didn't cool but maintenance replace some buttons and it started cooling, tv remote don't work. To finish, for the high price it's not worth it.

Needs to be updated , the ac was not working properly it was super hot.. There was no ice matchine and the elevator was not working, the wi-fi only worked in the lobby .......

The hotel condition is in severe deterioration. Hotel had no amenities and the quality of service was poor. Hotel staff was not professional and those employees had very little knowledge about Miami beach area and was not willing to help tourist with directions, dining etc. using the excuse "I am not from the area, sorry."

It's so dirty and nasty I booked another hotel after a day.

It cost more that I could have stayed anywhere else for two nights. I expect a little something for that. Bathroom a moldy, caulked mess. The AC missing buttons so either had to be on high or off. Window wouldn't open. Blankets on thebeds stained (hopefully otherwise were dirty) no fridge in room like it said, elevator out of service (no help to carry bags up three flights), they didn't have enough food for everyone to get the continental breakfast. Location was the only plus though you had to pay for parking almost everywhere around the hotel. I had a better accomodation in Haiti.

didn't like it, the hotel need serious maintenes. is filty and olso is over price the only thing the i like it is the location that all.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in: Totally overpriced (122 $ per night without taxes); really dirty (chicken wings on the floor); bad smell in the whole hotel area; it was not possible to get another bedcover; old and battered furniture (do never look under a bed ... it was disgusting); toilette was not flushing properly! We stayed there cause we pre-paid on the internet and it was just for 2 days. There is a DaysInn right next to the Ocean Surf that looks far nicer...but I would suggest to book a room more south in Middle Beach or South Beach.

Too bad you do not do that hotel MAINTENANCE, could be very nice if it was clean.

I will not recommand this hotel to my friends. The location was great but my stay was not so pleasant. But good location anyway.

No shampoo or bath plug. The elevator was broken, so I had to carry my luggage. It had clearly been out for a while. The carpeted stairs were dirty and smelly.

enjoyed it very much.

The hotel is expensive, because the hotel is terrible, the bathroom is old and the wall is in bad condition, the tv is from the time when may grandfather born, the carpet is dirty and have a bigs spot, I never stay on this hotel anymore, and I payd 111,00 for this s......

This can not be called a hotel. The elevator were out of order, and we all have to use the stairs, and ther were no one to help up with the loggage.The stairs and korridors were exstremely dirthy. So we will never recomand this place to any friends and we will never stay there again

That's the most dirty and hot hotel I ever been to ...I pay for it in didn't even spend the night ...I ended up goin to a other hotel and the smell sucks

I have never complained before. People Beware. This hotel is dirty and rundown. The bathroom roof has water stains,the wall has paint bubbling, the carpets were so dirty we kept our shoes on. The bathroom light fixture was only partially left intact and only one light bulb of 3 screwed in. No light bulb in the closet.The curtain blinds were half missing (missing vertical blinds so no privacy at all.) and the window was locked open 2 inches. The window air had to turned off because of the noise. The handle to the shower was caked with dirt that you could see through the glass knob. There was visible mould around the caulking, and on the shower curtain. Did not get housekeeping and had to get our own toilet paper and glasses etc Hotels.com should take this off their list

Conditions were very poor. It needs a lot of work. Room was clean but in very poor condition - holds in carpet, missing knobs from furniture, TV was old and small, closed captioning would not work even though it had the option, missing chain for security lock, bed wobbly, mattress so so, pillows out! Bathroom was clean but in very poor condition - no stopper in the sink so was very conscious making sure I didn't drop something in the sink, bathtub has slipped plate so about 1/5 hole so anybody taking shower probably added water damage to the inside wall, lots of cracks in the enclosure. I was alone so was very nervous because of lack of security. I am hearing impaired so I can't hear a thing when I take my hearing aids off at night. Security means a lot to me. My room was at the end of the hall on the first floor which was actually up about 10 stairs and right next to the room was a security door was the propped open with a towel the second day and all night apparently that I propped a folding chair (which fortunately was in the closet in the room) under the door knob the second night. I would have change hotels but unfortunately I got non-refundable reservations which I will never do again! Even though the beach was across the street (about a minute walk to the water) and very beautiful, location was NOT good for a lone woman. I just did not feel safe in the area at night. I would not recommend this area for lone women.

It was OK for a place to sleep, because that is all I needed it for.

My only problem with the room was the cleaniness the tube was dirty and the sheets on the bed had hair on it when I stripped the bed. No toilet tissue was in the room. I understand that this is an old building but cleaniness means a whole lot to the customer. I loved the balcony, cont. breakfast and the view from the room and the fact the room had a refrigerator in it.. I give this Hotel a 3 on my score book..

After reading the reviews I didn't have high expectations, but I thought this hotel was good. The rooms were clean, they even had a mini fridge. It's an old hotel that has probably never been updated, it feels like stepping back in time almost.

The carpeted floor was very damp and The wi fi didn't work except in the Lobby. But the location was great. lots of good Cuban and brazilian restaurants in the neighborhood.
