Hotel 71 - شيكاغو

I was quite surprised with the quality of this property considering the price I paid. It was at least a hundred dollars less per night that hotels just a few blocks away. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is extra large, which I like, and very clean. This is an upscale hotel for a mid-level (aka Marriott) price. Free Internet access is a plus. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. I flew in on the redeye from the West Coast and arrived there at 6AM and they let me check in so I could take a nap before my meetings! The property is within walking distance of many tourist sites as well as the subway to go farther. I walked to Millennium Park and the Art Museum and took the subway to see the White Sox play (it was April and it was freezing, so bring a jacket!). I didn't go to the bar or the restaurant, so I can't comment on those. I would definitely stay there again if I ever travel to Chicago in the future.

The food in the hotel was great, rooms clean and spacious staff friendly. Over all good experience

The hotel was perfectly located in the middle of everything. Near boat tours, near the parks, near the loop and magnificent mile. Close to the public transportation which made it easy to get to both Wrigley Field and the United Center. Great view and best fitness center I've seen in any hotel in a very long time.

I'm a regular traveller to Chicago, but this was my first stay at Hotel 71. The hotel is nice and modern. The front desk staff was friendly. And, the room was comfortable and larger than I expected. I had a river view room, which gave me a great view down the Chicago River. Best of all, the room had a flat-screen tv and free wifi - two rarities for hotels in the Loop. My only complaints - the bed and the pillows were too soft for my liking. Of course, I haven't yet found a hotel in Chicago with firm pillows, so I shouldn't be surprised. All and all, I would recommend Hotel 71.

Hotel staff is an asset not only to the hotel, but all of Chicago!

Unfortunately the hotel had a few problems while we were there but staff did not notify us of this . The rooms were excellent very comfortable and clean. Bar and restaurant were very noisy with limited menu. Hotel ideally situated both for sight seeing and for shopping. Would stay there again.

The room was just beautiful, everything was clean and the service was amazing. Definitely recommend staying at Hotel 71, it is right in the centre of everything.

Overall the rooms were fine, but I was very disappointed in the service of the hotel staff and lack of maintenance upkeep. I will most likely never stay at this hotel again.

The room was great and we had a lot of fun!

We LOVED our room and our stay here at Hotel 71. The staff was very friendly and we got an upgrade from our regular king size room to a river view. Amazing view of the Chicago River and Trump Tower across the street. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was awesome. there was a standing shower stall in our bathroom with a rainfall shower head in it. It felt like we were at a spa! We definitely took more showers than we needed to just because the shower was so nice! There was even a TV in the bathroom and it was nice and spacious in there. Another great thing about the bathroom was it had a dimmer switch for the lights in there. What was amazing about this was that my early morning trip to the bathroom didn't end up blinding me when I turned on the light. I just turned it on just enough to see where I was going and then was able to hop back into bed without a problem. We only stayed one night so we didn't encounter the housekeeping staff at all. Our room was clean and modern, so no complaints there at all. Valet parking was quick and easy and the hotel was located close to everything we came into the city for. For the price and location, we'd definitely stay at Hotel 71 again.

Hotel 71 is conveniently located at the heart of downtown Chicago and is close to most if not all major attractions. Metro/Matra/bus and tour tram stops are within walking distance. Their staff is very friendly and they upgraded us from a city view with one king bed room to a river view with two queen beds room on higher floors with no extra charge. All we had to do was ask. The room was spacious and had a magnificent view of the river and the surrounding buildings. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This could be a dive if it was in a different area. Let's just say I wouldn't take my wife there. Old,needs lots of work and upgrades.

Happened upon this hotel on the Internet. Loved the view it showed looking down the river. Be sure to specify you want a river view room! We were on the 34th floor and it was just like the view on the website. Convenient to the L train, the hop on/ off bus tour and the boat tours! Friendly and helpful front desk and house keeping! Loved it and will stay there everytime we are in Chicago.

Overall stay was FANTASTIC! The rooms were available prior to regular check-in time and were very clean and spacious. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to family and friends.

I go to Chicago often, and this was by far my favorite hotel! Excellent location, great price, stellar experience! I have already recommended it to friends going soon, and I doubt I will ever stay anywhere else!

I'd rather stay on the other side of the Chicago River by the shops and restaurants especially with a family. There weren’t really and really close places to eat. Vending machines would have been a plus. The toilet was annoying as you had to hold down the handle in order to flush and the shower would NOT drain. Overall the hotel was nice but I'd probably try something different in the future. I picked it because it said family friendly but I don't think it was family friendly at all. Lots of young people partying going to this hotel so if you are going with young kids DO NOT STAY HERE, pick another hotel.

I choose this hotel because it was close to a conference I was attending and it was an excellent choice. The room was modern and clean with a decent city view. It was quiet with plenty of space and my only minor complaint dealt with the lack of HD on the television but that is an easy fix. Overall, this is a terrific place to stay if you are visiting downtown Chicago.

Overall the hotel was very nice. The only problem we had was with noise on 2 nights. Our neighboring room was very very noisy. the first night we didn't complain, but the second night there the noise got pretty bad. I called to the front desk and they had security up there immediately. We were traveling with a small child and I think after 11 oc'lock at night it should be quiet.

Hotel 71 was a great hotel. But Hotel.com should include parking charges for the hotels they show on their website. Parking was was very expensive! If I would have know how much it would cost per day I may have chosen another hotel in a vicinity were parking was readily available outside of the hotel (parking garage).

Can't beat the location. Great views of the river and surrounding area. Courteous service. Not lavish but neat, clean and, again, super location. Would definitley go there again and recommend to friends.

For the most we enjoyed our stay but walls are very thin. You could hear every little sound in the hallways. I had requested a microwave one morning but it took a long time to bring it. I had to make a second request. As soon as i plugged it in to use it must have blew a fuse i had no electricty at all. Called front desk and waited for an hour still no one showed up so we left.

I can't say enough nice things about a recent business stay at this hotel. The service was excellent. The front desk staff deserves extra kudos for a) locating a replacement projector for our presentation on next to no notice and b) recommending a great steakhouse within walking distance and snagging us a reservation, again, on next to no notice . The weather was beautiful while we were in town and I really loved cocktails at the hotels' sidewalk lounge. Thanks for making me look so good to my boss!

Staff were very friendly, and hotel is very clean. Excellent view of Chicago river and wonderful place to relax and rest.

This hotel was in a great location to the Magnificant Mile.The room was very nice and modern. Beds were comfortable.

This hotel was in an excellent location in Chicago. It is downtown near the magnigicent mile. It is directly across from Trump tower with wonderful river views. The beds are very comfortable - pillowtop. The rooms are spacious. Our family had a wonderful time at this hotel.

You couldn't ask for a better downtown location. And these were the best hotel beds I've ever slept on. We had a million dollar view of the Chicago River, yet we didn't spend a fortune. The staff was delightful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower in our room needed a little attention (slow drain, non-functioning tub stopper). But when I mentioned it to the front desk they were responsive. I would recommend Hotel 71, and I would absolutely stay there again.

My sisters, mother, and I went to Chicago and stayed at Hotel 71 for a get away. It was perfect. The view was wonderful, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was larger than I expected! I hope to go back to Chicago and will definitely stay at Hotel 71. I got a great deal going through hotel.com...it was a perfect get away!
