Really nice. The view from the room is great. The only thing that I would like is to have a buffet breakfast include.

I have stayed in Chicago many times. I ate dinner there one time last year and was very impressed with the staff and the location. So, i booked it this time around and was favorably impressed with everything i experienced at Hotel 71. Highly recommend!

East Wacker must be one of the best locations to have a hotel in Chicago city centre. When you come out the front door of Hotel 71 you are welcomed with a open view of Chicago's awesome river and skyscraper landscape. It's near The Loop, Millenium Park and North Michigan Avenue and there is easy access to the Lake Shore cycle path and all other areas with an L stop minutes away. The rooms are big, airy and spacious and the lobby and business centre are relaxing and well equiped. Unfortunately our room wasn't cleaned one day and when we asked for it to be some new towels were dropped inside the door and nothing else was done, that was disappointing, but otherwise a fantastic place to stay!

overall it was a good stay. The only issue is that we called the desk and requested extra towels and they never arrived.

Very comfy bed, clean room feels like home...

It was great, it needs to be a little bit more clean (specially vacuum everyday) the towels, soaps and coffee should be replaced everyday and should give the appropriate number of towels for passengers that are in the room (specially if you are saying the number when checking in). The rest is just perfect!

Staff here is first rate. The hotel is classy, clean, and very comfortable. I also don't think there is a more conveniently located hotel in Chicago for the sights and views. It's unfortunate that even here you are constantly harassed (or worse) by aggressive pan handlers and scam artists, but that's more to do with Chicago itself than the hotel's location: You get it everywhere, picking a location in a nice part of town doesn't protect you.

Our experience was wonderful, from check in to check out. Wendy was awesome. Our room was great with a spectaculary view of the river. I will be back and dont think i will stay at any other hotel in Chicago.

Great location. only problem was the issue with the lifts. Of the 4, 2 were permanently not working, whilst about 50% of the time one other wasn't also working. Also the noise from the air-conditioning/heating unit on the lower roof could be heard (we were on the 8th floor).

The location is excellent. The rooms are good sized and well appointed. I am however extremely disappointed that I was put in a room right next to another room that is being rennovated. The drill & saw noice started after 7am in the morning and i had to call the front desk to complain. That only quited for 20 minutes. Being across from the elevators and next to a room being renovated was too much for me so I asked to be moved to another room. The new room was great. There was no construction on that floor but you still can hear it on the other floors. Can't belive a hotel would really put someone in a room next construction - blew my mind. I didn't check in late and I told them I come to Chicago often. Way to leave a bad impression Wyndham!

Try to request a high floor and a room facing the river. It is a spectacular view of Chicago. Hotel is efficient, friendly, helpful, clean. TV has lots of HD channels. Shower was excellent with lots of hot water and power. Elevators can be slow but it was a weekend and we were on a very high floor. Nice patio out front. Great location. Close to Millennium Park, Mag Mile, the Loop. No complaints. Would definitely stay here again if the price was right.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel 71. Our room was very clean and modern. The location is ideal, right across the street from the river. Millenium Park, Magnificient Mile and the Theater District are all within a 5-minute walk. The gym on the 7th floor is good and has a great view, but jogging on the Riverwalk and then on the Lakefront Trail is even better!

This hotel couldn't have been in a better location - close to everything and within walking distance of architectural boat tour, Millenium Park, Magnificent Mile, and even Navy Pier. We checked in early with no problems, and had a great corner room with an amazing view. I was a bit disapointed that I reserved a king sized bed and we got 2 queens, but we made it work since we checked in early. We tried Hoyts next door for lunch on the first day, and I was happy to see a number of gluten-free options. Apparently if you are staying at the hotel, you also get a complimentary wine or beer each day, which was a nice perk. The elevators were a little slow in the evenings but we didn't have much wait time during the day. I would definitely stay here again for the value and the location.

The staff was attentive and courteous and even upgraded our room for no charge when we could not get cell phone service in our first room. Perfect location and charming rooms. Would def stay again!

We were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is favorably situated to take in a lot of must-see sights.

Our stay was excellent. Albeit as it was a friends getaway weekend and we tried to be respectful of others I know we were sort of loud but we got no complaints.

Hotel 71 was an excellent hotel. The staff were polite and professional, and they get our bonus point for bumping us to a suite. (Thank you!) The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The view from the window was not great, but it's not a big issue for me. The only problem I had was the elevators. Two out of four were out of service, and I got stuck in one of the "working" elevators for almost 15 minutes. Otherwise, i highly recommend this modern and yet comfortable hotel.

Hotel 71 was a great place to stay; the rooms were very nice and the service was great. The lighting in each room was pretty dim, and there was no full-length mirror, which seemed odd for a hotel, but those are very minor quibbles and wouldn't keep me from booking another stay here.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. It seems that they are in the process of updating the rooms, but we were not bothered by construction noise. Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only complaint is that I made an in person request for tea for the Keurig and the tea never came. Other than that, it was good.

I stayed on the 36 th floor.The view was spectacular. the noise from the remodeling was minimal. There was no cold water at the bathroom tap, only tepid to warm. the note left for housekeeping was not addressed. We three had no washcloths at first , then we received 2, never a third. Requested non decaf coffee for maker in room. Took a special trip to the desk to get it. Light bulb in floor lamp was missing, never replaced. Beds were very comfortable. Will consider returning after the elevators are all running and there is ice machines above the 18 th floor

This was my 2nd trip to Chicago and I'm glad that I chose Hotel 71. Fantastic location next to the Chicago River. Walking distance to sites, restaurants, shops, and public transportation. Rooms were very clean, and the bathroom was quite spacious. When I first booked this hotel, I wasn't sure whether to get the city or river view. GET THE RIVER VIEW ROOM!!! It cost a little more but was well worth it. The view is just fabulous. Would I stay here again? You betcha!!!

The hotel is a great find in a nice area, definitely would recommend it

We were traveling with a group of 4. I must say that we all agreed on how much we enjoyed our stay at Hotel 71! The staff was very accommodating to us. When we asked for directions or for some extra items, they were delivered right away! The room was so clean and inviting. We found the rooms to be comfortable for all 4 of us and we didn't feel like we were to crowded. None of us would hesitate to stay at this hotel again. In fact one of the people in our group plan on visiting Chicago again in the near future, she asked me to make the reservations for her there! The only down side was that they were having a little trouble with the elevators and we had to wait a little while to use them, but it wasn't that bad or often!! We loved it!!

It was a very nice hotel, and gave us a free upgrade on our room. Vallet parking was $49 when across the street it was $14 to park overnight. Right downtown on the river.

I loved my stay here at this wonderful and beautiful hotel. For the price I paid for my room was well worth the cost. It was also inexpensive...especially given the fact that this hotel is right downtown and in a great location. We walked and took cabs everywhere we went and was not expensive at all. The staff was very attentative and took care of my needs. I had requested that my room be serviced before 3pm and when I got back to my room early around 2pm...my room was fully stocked and cleaned. I was very impressed. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. I would most definately stay here again! I'm already planning another trip!

I stayed at hotel 71 for 3 nights and it was great. Perfect location. Easy to spot from a distance. Rooms were great. Only downside is the construction being done to the hotel elevators. However it did not slow the elevators up. It was a great time and would definitely stay again - once the construction is over.

We have no complaints about our stay. We were staying in Chicago for a long weekend and this hotel was walking distance to so much! I do have to say get the river view. It was such a great view!!!

I have stayed at 10+ downtown Chicago hotels and this was the most enjoyable yet. The view from the room was beautiful - overlooking the Chicago River.

After staying at numerous hotels downtown Chicago, I now stay only at Hotel 71. The convenient location and fantastic service I receive makes it the perfect hotel for me when there on business.

Very nice hotel in the city centre. It's not super luxe, foyer is small - but our room was spacious and the staff very pleasant. Great location for Magnificent Mile, Loop and walking to Greektown, Old Town & Loop. Choose valet parking at the hotel ($50) or $28 self park right next door. Parking in Chicago is expensive...just no way around it.

Have been traveling for a month around america and was really impressed with hotel 71, best hotel so far out of 4 other hotels.

Parking is very expensive @ hotel Self park next door for 1/2 the cost
