Given a poor room next to roof air conditioning outlets. Contacted front desk at 1130pm and was advised hotel full and airconditioning for other guests comfort. Did change our rooms for the next two nights. Last day they did not provide face washers nor replace coffee. Felt the service was poor considering reputation of hotel.

The air conditioner in our room did not work. It was very noisy . Luckily it was not too hot. We opened the windows and it was ok.

I am dissapointed we didnt plan to spend more time at the hotel or expereince the lounges. Intrigued by all the history at the hotel and surrounding area

Place charges way way too much for the rooms as they are so small,and old, people staying there are not the classiest, and the quality of the hotel is mediocre.

Fantatic staff, right in the heart of Hollywood. Historic building. Room was tiny and bathroom needed renovating but we got a great deal.

Let me start off by saying that the front desk staff and hotel restaurant staff are excellent! However, I don't know if the cleaning staff is understaffed, but the bathroom was very dirty. When we entered our room, the bathtub was dirty and the walls near the toilet were spotted and streaked. The walls are made of concrete. We have concrete counters at home so I understand that sometimes water can change the look temporarily but these walls looked dirty. Also, the floors were grimy and some of our towels were on the floor. If the beds had not been made, I would have assumed that the room had not been touched by housekeeping. The rooms were nothing to write home about but they did have some retro charm that I would have appreciated more I the room was cleaner. We went to the pool party the next day and were hassled about entry to the pool even though we have them out room number and name. I understand that they want to keep a certain level of security but this is inconsistent with the fact that we met several people who were not guests. It was supposed to be a day where the pool was closed to the public. Also, we were approached twice by some guys who were selling drugs. I know it's LA but it was ridiculous. Overall, the inside of the hotel lobby was beautiful. The staff was courteous and the restaurant food was great.

I expected a four star accommodation yet I would rate the room at 0. The bathroom was dirty, too small with no air exchanger and mold around the ceilings. No bath tub. There was no screen on any of the windows and we were on floor 8 with a child. The decor in the room was extremely dark and dingy, nothing comforting at all. The hotel smelled musky due to strong scents trying to cover up the moldy smell. We wanted to leave right away but could not get other accommodations. We tried to spend as much time out of the room as possible which was difficult since there were homeless people on all corners and people nagging for money, harassing you with CDs and wearing costumes. All of this at the expense of an upper class hotel. It was my first and most definitely, last trip ever to Los Angeles. I have no desire to return ever.

As always, everything was wonderful. This was my third visit and stay at the Hollywood Roosevelt and I enjoyed every moment. Everyone was very curtious and helpful from front desk to housekeeping to security and all of the hotel staff. A special thank you to Janette at pool side who always watched out for me. She is very nice and special. I have a great recommendation for your entertainment director. It would be in the hotels best interest if they could look into booking ZZ Ward at the hotel possibly over Labor Day weekend. She has performed at the Troubadour in W. Hollywood on Santa Monica Blvd and all over the country and TV. She is terrific and you can't go wrong in booking her for a special event over Labor Day. I suggest you look her up over the internet and Youtube music videos. Thanks and hope to see everybody again over Labor Day.

It was a nice historic hotel, with convenient walking distance to the Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Walk of Fame. We enjoyed the heated salt water pool and had a nice room service breakfast. I was happy there was a magnifying mirror in the bathroom, but the storage space for toiletries was limited. There were only 2 bath towels in the room upon arrival, but the staff was quick to bring 2 more after I called housekeeping. I would recommend this hotel if you are wanting to stay in the Hollywood area and be able to walk around instead of driving.

The Roosevelt pool is the best hangout for the summer. Book a cabana room.

Great experience for my birthday. Spent 2 nights for memorial weekend Amazing service and great hospitality. Food service food was very good as well. Poolside Dj plays great music and the bartenders by the tropicana bar are super friendly and generous in the amounts of liquor they pour. Overall, I would rate my experience a 4.5 out of 5

Enjoyed our stay during chaotic Memorial Day party at the pool.Huge value for the dollar.

We had a short stay but made use of the pool, restaurant (which has great food), and the lounge. All is within walking distance to venture out for a night out, cup of coffee, or exploring the tourist attractions.

Would stay here always

We have gone to this hotel for 9 years and wouldn't stay any other place in Hollywood. People are awesome, lots going on, highly recommended.

Advice for future bookers: 1. during the week, always book the cheapest room. The roosevelt is always empty and they will upgrade you, or offer you a cheap upgrade for a premium room. 2. If you are staying so you can hang out at the pool and work the next day, a. they let anyone hang out at the pool for free, so just stay somewhere else and go to the roosevelt pool for free. b. Even if you are paying for a $300 room, they still make you pay for wifi. You get no additional perks, or special treatment for actually staying at the hotel.

Very much a place to be if you are trying to impress. The hotel is lovely insidde, tthe rooms are very clean and finished to a very high level. As you would expect, not the basic contents to the mini bar which is transferred into the prices. 24 degree bar was very pleasant and the food brilliant at a fair price. Evening in the hotel bars was very relaxing and pleasant. Checked in mid afternoon and found the pool area very busy with the younger generation baying for attention from anybody who would listen. This made it impossible to use. All the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Overall it was an experiance that was worth it.

Very comfortable and great access to sightseeing

The hotel is in the best location right in the centre of all the action. I really received the Hollywood experience here as there is so much going on in the hotel and around it. Fantastic for people in their mod twenties wanting to party but alot quiet enough to be enjoyed by everyone else. A stones throw from all the action. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and informative. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again

We had a last minute change of plans and ended up heading to Hollywood instead of Santa Monica. The old, dark history of the Roosevelt was great and our teens especially enjoyed being directly across from the Chinese theatre and the Red Carpet! The staff brought upgraded our room too at the last minute as we were originally were booked in a room that didn't have enough space for the rollaway bed. The only downside was the shower - we learned the hard way to face the shower head toward the wall. Otherwise you'd step out to a sea of water. Overall - great fun

If you come to LA, whether for business or you're a tourist, Roosevelt is the best hotel out there. I go to LA all the time and I've even stayed at the Roosevelt for more than a month at a time. The location is great. The staff is amazing. Your car is ready to go whenever you need it, there's 24 hour room service, several restaurants and bars, and the most amazing atmosphere imaginable. As long as you respect the hotel, the hotel will respect you. I consider The Roosevelt to be my LA home, and it never disappoints me.

The location is dead center for tourism. But the washroom in the hotel room is bad. We had a group of 5 people reserved. The room had 2 towels. The shower had as much pressure as a crapped out old water fountain. Thank god the woman did not condition their hair, or we would still be there. The elevators were secured so you could not go downstairs and then back up without a room key(which barely worked). Oh, and they only gave us 1 key!! Did I mention their was 5 of us??? Not only was is $300 for a night but then a $35 charge per night for parking. I know it's LA but c'mon, it's a pretty run down part. Never again.

This hotel caters to a younger crowd but my husband and I enjoyed our stay none the less. This hotel is quite beautiful and close to many attractions. The food and drinks were wonderful but pricey, so be prepared. Staff is very nice and will work to make sure you are comfortable.

Although the Hollywood Roosevelt had a prime location on Hollywood Boulevard, the room I stayed in was not what I expected for such an iconic establishment. I read that the hotel had recently undergone a huge renovation and while the common areas of the hotel were beautiful, it was obvious that the renovation did not make it to my floor or room. Both were dark and dingy and the room itself reminded me of a hostel I stayed in in NYC once, except that room did not come with a mini-bar stocked with full sized bottles of liquor and didn't have a picture of a seeming heroine addict looming over the bed. The carpet was buckled, worn and stained and the furniture was in pretty shabby condition. The chair at the desk (and I am using these terms loosely) was so hard and uncomfortable that I had to stack pillows on it in order to sit and work. The bathroom was nice but could have been cleaner. I hate to find hair in the shower. The bed itself was comfortable and the linens were clean and soft. Overall it was NOTHING like the picture they showed.
