The hotel is conveniently located. It's next to hilton resort and from the balcony u can experience the fireworks they do every evening. Before reserving , do confirm if u want the full ocean view or partial. Overall, a nice nice to stay.

Very old hotel.. even though the maid did her job well, the hotel still wasn't clean. It needs severe renovation. Parking was unreasonably e,pensive, $28 a day and you have to give yhem tips each time you pick up the car. Front desk staffs were not willing to meet out needs until they were been called a few times. Overall, they were all not professional, definately not worthy for the money you would pay.

Great location for touring Oahu sights.

Make sure you book an ocean view room, it is well worth the extra cost. The balcony is a good size and the changing view and surrounding activities provides wonderful entertainment. This hotel has a great atmosphere and history. It is conveniently located near shopping outlets and restaurants. We would definitely stay at the Ilikai again!

Very happy with the hotel and room but the beds were of poor quality and required replacement. Retail stores on ground floor requires upgrading compared to other hotels nearby.

Aqua has done a fantastic job of restoring this classic property. The attitude of the staff was wonderful.

Overall a good experience. Food at the restaurant wasn't that special and no breakfast in bed was available. But hotel was good price and good location between Ala Moana and Waikki

Second time stay in less than a year. We love it here - close to everything. And on the 'edge' of Waikiki, so very easy to jump in our car and head off to Honolulu or the North Shore. We'll be back.

It was nice. Got bad sunburn so couldn't do a lot. Hotel provided what we needed including a free use of beach chairs, towels and a wheelchair for me when my feet were so badly burned that I couldn't walk much. Staff were gracious and our concierage, Reggie was the best ever.

Stay was excellent. Stayed at Ilikai In August 2012. Again got same room on this trip which was great. Will be staying again in very near future

The Ilikai Hotel remains one of the Great Older Hotels on Oahu. Sitting on the edge of Waikiki it is accessible to both the Tourist and Business areas. As an older hotel, expect your room to be clean and tidy but do not expect state of the art TVs, modern furnishings and posh accessories. It's the basics. If you are going to Waikiki on a budget, consider this hotel if the savings are considerable for you. If you are planning a romantic or special vacation cosider spending more money. I would stay at the Ilikai Hotel again for a business trip. Best feature of the hotel is that all rooms have a large balcony with either city or ocean views.

I loved this hotel. I had an ocean view room facing the Ala Moana side. Loved the view. It was also very close to Ala Moana shopping centre. 5-10mins walk. The room was absolutely clean and comfortable! I would definitely stay again!

Great hotel , huge room 50 square metres, great location short walk to the beach and the lagoon for a swim, very well keeped hotel, beds where lovely, would stay again.

Awesome service, very clean, large room, but older hotel. Good value for your dollar, beautiful scenery, other than the homeless people sleeping on bus benches, and begging for money. Not hotels fault. Would definitely stay there again!!!

Hotel location is very near to all of my interest points. Some points not close to the hotel, the bus stops just infront of the hotel.

The hotel is older and not right on the beach as stated. It is the farthest away from Wakkii and the Stip. And the Beach is not right in front. You have to go over to the Hilton Hawaiian villiage beach and there is no jaccuzi, There are mostly condo's there now 450 and it is a lot of older people buying , renting and staying. 240 was way too much for this hotel plus 28 for parking , Restaurants are rough. Try another.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff accomodating. My only criticism is that our bathroom was not very clean. Lots of towels, soap, etc but the bathroom could have been cleaner

Awesome location. Staff was great! Hotel was in great shape, but the rooms/balcony could use some updating.

View is lovely, staff are professional but friendly. Enjoy the easy walk to Ala Moana park & shopping center. Also enjoy the beach walk to Waikiki. Was highly entertained when Hawaii 5-0 happened to be filming on site one morning. The Ilikai works for us because we like to walk but it could be a distance for those with small children. The lagoon is a nice safe area for children or non-swimmers to recreate. Would choose it again over the competition next door.

We didn't expect much but we didn't expect a very dusty room and bathroom with moldy tile and shower. We had to perform our own plumbing to turn off the bathtub faucet and the service from personnel was the worst we had in Hawaii. We were talked into "upgrading" to an ocean front room that was really a city front room with only a view of the ocean from one end of the lanai. When I opened the shower door I got some silver goo all over my hand that wouldn't come off till the third good scrubbing. The concierge almost always had the "be back in 5 minutes" sign up and when they came back we waited for 40 minutes before giving up. The lobby decor was nice but the rooms were a flash back to the golden girls era with dust all over the floor boards and all over the bathroom doors. You couldn't open the door without getting dust on you.

The hotel is located near Waikiki Beach and many shops. The reason I didn't rate the hotel higher is because the shower is a little run down and has a shower curtain, no tub and the water pressure was weak. The sink back-uped and there is NO dresser space which was inconvenient because we had to live out of our suit cases. We had a kitchen which was nice and they provided plates, cups and a few cooking essentials. Unfortunately our room faced East and you couldn't open the curtains or sit on the balcony during the day because it was just too bright and hot. It was very nice in the evening though and you could see the HIlton's firework show next door. Ate at the bar and grill one night and had the worst hamburger and onion rings ever, frozen and re-heated food. Nice bar atmosphere though and staff was nice.

We had a beautiful room with a fantastic view. The room was spacious and comfortable with a full kitchen and wall to ceiling window for the entire wall facing the ocean -- lovely balcony. The only minor issue was waiting for the bellman with our luggage when we left -- but that was a minor issue. Over all we loved our stay at the Ilikai.

New management since I last stayed at the Ilikai - nice change and helpful staff

We've stayed here before - very enjoyable. Great Views. The pillows could use some work, and the rooms could use some updating...but nothing major. Dinner at Sorrento's was great - but remember to tell them up front that you are a hotel guest if you want the 15% discount...they gave ma a hard time and only gave me 10% back.

Very pleasant atmosphere and all employees we encountered were helpful and ready to help whether it be driving directions, restaurants, etc.. Enjoyed the view from our room. Great location!

Enjoyed our stay and would definitely return - enjoyed the extras like microwave & refrigerator. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We were there during Tsunami alert and was impressed with the hotel preparedness in keeping us updated and implementing precautionary measures. Great location!

The staff at the Ilikai from check in to check out were fabulous. Our Mountain side room was enormous with heaps of wardrobe space for all our stuff. Guest laundry on our floor was a great asset. We asked for and got a kettle within 5 minutes of our request. Location is fabulous, hotel amenities are top rate you could nearly spend your entire vacation at the hotel. Most of the tour companies pick up and drop off at the hotel which is a bonus.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Despite being a large hotel, it doesn't have that big hotel feel - you don't feel like you're being processed along with thousands of others. Recommended

We came back to Oahu for 3 nights before flying home, and this stay was wonderful. We had listened to the presentation at the beginning of our trip, while staying at the Aqua Palms. We loved their restaurant at the top for our final farewell dinner - beautiful and wonderful service.

The hotel is a bit older, has a smaller, outdated pool and isn't right on the beach, but otherwise, it's amazing. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, the view I had, which was of the city rather than the Ocean, was pretty incredible. The Service staff from reception to concierge, etc, were all very friendly and helpful; the location is excellent in terms of surrounding area, beach and airport, and the price was more than fair! Great accommodations, great price!

We booked an ocean view and were on the 23rd floor with an amazing view, Was nice to have a balcony to sit and enjoy it. The room was large, bed comfy and was great to find a coffee maker. Shower was hot and the room very clean even tho they could do with an update in the future. we found the staff to be exceptionally friendly. it was only a short walk to the beach and it was good to see the pool was in the sun all day so was a pleasure to go for a swim in it as wasn't too cold.

Couldn't be happier. The hotel was very close to all things in Waikiki. The beach and lagoon were literally steps away. I had a room with an ocean view and balcony that was great to use each morning. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in finding things or giving recommendations. Wish parking was free but parking in public pay parking was a good option. It is behind the hotel. An enterprise rent a car is across the street so doing a day rental was very convenient. Free wifi was a bonus. Very pleased with the stay overall.
