Rendezvous Grand Hotel Auckland - أوكلاند

If I have any negatvie comments, its about the parking - firstly trying to find a park and then when one was not available trying to get out of the car park, having then to park illeagally to sort out what to do was nerve racking. I wish the numbering on the floors of the car park made more sense in relationship to the hotel. somewhat confusing.

A fine hotel deserving of its 4+ star-rating. Good service, very comfortable, clean, well-appointed and large rooms. Right near Queen Street and just a 10min. walk to the water. Near good restaurants, theatres, shopping. We were very satisfied and I can recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Auckland.

Good location, friendly/helpful staff. Clean and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend it.

We were happy with our stay but were unimpressed with the poor dinning room service and the attitude of the head waiter

A friend and I travelled up to see Jersey Boys and stayed at the Rendevous in part because of location which is great for accessing everything. Good service, comfortable rooms, a nice gym and wonderful breakfast. Dinner service a little slow and tense as we needed to be out by 7 for the show. However stafff came through and we had a lovely meal and made the show. Apparently room service had been brisk and the same kitchen caters for both hence the slight delay. Would definitely stay again.

Room is big and clean. Service was excellent . You have to walk a little to get main part of city but good location. Only I felt negative in softness of bed. We want firm bed these day.

I arrived early after an overnight flight from Shanghai, getting to the hotel at 9am. They booked me into room right away, although normal check in time is 2pm. This allowed me a time to rest and freshen up and still an, almost, full day in Auckland. Very good service. The room was large and comfortable, although starting to look a little tired. Service was good although the process of getting vouchers to access the Internet was a bit of a pain. Good value though and recommended

It is located on the edge of the cultural center of the city. We walked to museums, shows, the water, shopping, and many places to eat. It was also easy to get to from the airport.

Love this hotel stayed quite a few times and probably always will stay here,i always stay here with my son and its a very special place for him as well.Ive tried to think of a complaint and it's hard to find one,a room with more of a view would have been nice as i stayed in the club suite for 7 days and the room was stuck in a bit of a corner but that is probably my only small complaint.And then came breakfast buffet,its probably the best breakfast of any hotel i have stayed at in the world and that is some title to hold,hope it never changes it's a 10/10! Can't wait to come back it will be in the next six months.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room did not have the robes and slippers that were listed in the booking info but not a big deal. Due to bad weather we spent a good deal of time in the room and found it comfortable. Linking to the room wifi was painless once reception gave me a code. Restaurant prices were a little high.

The hotel location was great. K Road, Aotea Square, City all within walking distance. The rooms were spacious as was the bathroom. The facilities were a little outdated but other than that, no complaints.

Very Positive

Absolutely brilliant. The helpfulness and cheerfulness of the staff, the room was spacious and of high quality, the restaurant produced quality meals and service. I will certainly be using this Hotel again and special mention of the concierge/valet for retrieving my vehicle promptly and with a smile and no damage. Much appreciated

The hotel is fine in most respects though better car parking would have helped and the price of cooked breakfasts was too high.

The only reason I won't give the the highest score, is the fact that the wireless internet wasn't free. Even though they advertise with free high speed internet, this was only for at consecutive period of 3 hours, whereafter you could buy more time! In my opinion, a hotelroom at this price should offer free WiFi, especially when they are advertising with it. Besides that, the hotel rooms where neet, clean and in a very good condition. the location is good, and staff very friendly. Recommendable!

BREAKFAST VERY DISAPPOINTING, POOL OUT OF ORDER FOR ONE DAY, INTERNET ACCESS POOR.

Thought the hotel was great, nice big rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast buffet is terrific. However, as of today their new internet system is not up to par. Wireless was out of reach in our room, and always maxing out on the number of users at one time. Club pass was very nice to have, excellent service there, u feel like you're at an airport vip lounge!

stayed there many times before we would highly recommend it and very nice and friendly staff

very pleasant stay. 2 nights no bad comments

*Really nice rooms with nice views, 5 min walk to towncentre. *Very friendly staff and fast room service with good food! *clean gym and nice relaxing pool! -Rent-a-movie system crashed the first night but gor fixed the following day. Overall a nice clean and quiet hotell.

A very nice hotel for the price. Frendly people, good service. Good area of town. short walk to dining, shopping etc. Would definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable full-service hotel ideally located just outside the high-rise central business district, but within easy walking distance of Sky City and other amenities.

Very impressed with the quality of the hotel, the service and the food. Excellent value for money given the location, easily accessible to all Auckland has to offer incliding good views of the Sky Tower. Very well designed building with lots of light and an open, airy feeling. Would definatley stay there again and highly recommend it.

nice accomodatios. staff friendly and helpful, but restaurants were so so. The apanese restaurat was closed, but it was stil advertised, kind of a bummer!

We had 2 nights and I was very impressed with the excellent staff who made us very welcome. The room was very good. I enjoyed the breakfast. The parking is very easy and convenient compared to other places in downtown Auckland. Located next in the CBD and by the Aotea Centre, it is an easy 15 minute walk to the waterfront.

The room was very nice, and the room service food was quick and tasted good. There was a slight stain on the pillow, but I'm sure that was an isolated incident. The bathtub and shower were nice, and perfect for a romantic night in.

I first stayed at this hotel in 2000, when it was one of the citys premier hotels, and a number of times after that but it is several years since my last stay. It has a new name and management now. While little has changed, and decor is now dated, the rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Room service meals are good, as is indoor pool (which also has a nice sun deck) and gym area (with good equipment range for cardio and weights). On edge of business and shopping district all within an easy walk.

Nice large spacious rooms with good amenities and reasonable prices on the minibar at the time of stay (NZ$5.50 for a Heineken bottle). However, electric sander started in adjacent room at 7:20am, and room stunk of smoke (had noted non-smoking room in booking). All rooms should be non-smoking - it is pretty much illegal to smoke anywhere inside in NZ and hotel rooms shouldn't be an exception. There was also no comment about the charge for car-parking ($18 a day at the time of stay), signage for hotel stayers is unclear as it is labelled a public carpark. Other than that, bathroom spacious and clean, and room in tidy condition. Good to see that they are looking at sustainability in terms of their messaging in relation to consumptive items in the rooms.

My husband and I both believe that we have never received such excellent customer service and we have been to a few hotels - everyone at the hotel were super helpful and patient. We were just blown away by their excellent service!!

Excellent hotel, better than expected given the moderate price. Very satisfactory in every respect.

We had a two night stay at the Rendezvous Hotel in Auckland, and I was very pleased with the overall experience. Parking was easy, check in was efficient and what was included in our package was explained. We had picked the club room package which included cooked breakfast, drinks and nibbles in the club room, self parking and free internet access, combined with a clean and well appointed room made it a pleasure to stay there and very good value. Most importantly, the King size bed was super comfortable. The pool and outside deck was very nice. While this might not be the newest Hotel in Auckland the things that counted the most, cleanliness, comfort and pleasant staff ensured that I will return, and recommend this hotel.

Auckland's Rendezvous, once the Carlton, remains a reliable place to stay with comfortable, clean rooms and all-round acceptable features and a light-filled atrium. Despite being between the police station and the tent-filled Aotea Square of Occupy Auckland, it's location is central and its underpass to the Square improves its accessibility. Some interior designer, though, decided rickety pictures were fashionable, but most guests I talked to were frustrated about not being able to 'straighten' their fashionably hung, annoyingly hung, framed hotel-art. Nevertheless, generally competent and comfortable.

Good location as we walked to attractions and restaurants. Only drawback was free Wi-fi was limited to 15 minute/10GB.

The Hotel was very well appointed . we had all and more than we needed. Beautiful bathroon layout with full size bath. View of trees and parks. exc. room service and 2 double beds .altogether a luxury room.

No WiFi in room, just cabled internet: cable too short and the connection is THROTTLED after just 100Mb? What an insult. No in-room vault, no complimentary bottle of water, dingy interior with poor lighting and no spare electrical points for laptop, phone charger etc. Very basic TV and channels, no other on-demand movie choices other than porn. Breakfast was basic and bland, non-inspired, just low quality staples. The carpets look dirty, the curtains are dirty, the gym was dirty and poorly maintained. The location is not great for walking to restaurants etc, it is a locked into the CBD with main traffic streets surrounding it. Room service was good, the cheese burger was OK, the Laksa was great, very authentic. As per Oct'11, THIS HOTEL NEEDS A MAJOR MODERNISATION, TO BEGIN WITH THE THINKING OF THE MANAGEMENT. BEHIND THE TIMES.
