Wonderful short stay in Paris. Near Eiffel tower, hop on and off tour bus, subway stop. This small hotel had a charm I would expect in Paris. Lobby was comfortable, desk clerks helpful and friendly. They all spoke very good English and helped with all my needs. My room was small, but charming and clean. I especially loved the convenience of next door super market, pastry shops, cozy french restaurants, and safe french neighborhood. It rained the days I was in Paris and coming "home" to my warm, cozy, room was a delight. Bathroom was clean and bright. Wireless wifi in my room and HD TV were bonuses. Breakfast looked very good, but a little expensive for my taste. I ate pastries and wonderful dark hot chocolate from the corner cafe. I am planning another trip to Paris for an extended time and will definitely book this hotel.

I stayed in a hostel in Rome that was nicer than this hotel and it was a fraction of the cost. The hotel was allright and there was nothing too wrong with the room besides being cramped and outdated. They advertise they have an internet cafe and the computers they use are outdated, filled with spam, and slow. The WiFi in the rooms does not work and the owner knows it, but it does not seem to be of concern. The hotel really lacks charm and the only real convenience is that is a short walk from the tourist trap that is the Eiffel Tower. You cannot see the tower from the hotel so do not let anyone tell you differently. I would not stay here again, but then again Paris is sort of a dump in itself.

My 8 year-old daughter and I loved this hotel. it was super convenient to the Metro and a five minute walk to the Eiffel Tour and to the Seine! We will definitely stay there again. I highly recomment it.

The hotel staff is great, the breakfast even though it's 15Euro is VERY good and has a lot of stuff. The walls are very thin though, i had very loud neighbors, but other than that the hotel is super.

This hotel was not a bad place to stay, but it could have been better. Hotel staff is pretty aloof. We had a problem with the light in the toilet room the whole time we were there even though they kept saying it was fixed. My son and I went to Paris together and we kept having to go out in the hall when one of us used the bathroom because we had to leave the bathroom door open to see! If you request and ironing board/iron they say it's being used and never give it to you. No hot pot. The room does have a refrigerator though. We bought some chocolate mousse at the grocery next store to the hotel to eat in the room, the man at the front desk refused to give us spoons. We had to wait until another person started their shift to get spoons. Beds were comfortable, I guess that's all that really matters after running around Paris all day! We also loved the location. Metro station close by, grocery next door, great cafe's and Eiffel Tower within short walk.

wonderful location but very thin walls so you will hear your neighbors if they are loud. would definitely consider staying there again.

All I needed was a simple, clean, safe room for one night in Paris. This hotel delivered preciely that and so RELATIVE to the price (it's not a 5 STAR luxury hotel by a long way, and I wasn't expecting that) this hotel get's 5/5. Location is excellent.

This Hotel was wonderful! Grocery store right next door and the refrigerator in our room really helped keep eating expenses down, the train was close, and the hotel itself was amazing. Loved going out on the little balcony and peeking at the Eiffel tower... Way better than pinching myself every morning. The staff was terrific and the room was really clean every day. Was able to buy tickets for the major museums and tour bus so you didn't have to wait in long lines, and the staff all spoke great english to help with questions. Helped make it a VERY enjoyable trip... Thanks soooo much!!! I mean, MERCI!!! :0)

This hotel was comfortable and clean. However for the price it was disappointing. It was old and outdated. The 10 Euro's for breakfast was worth the money. I thought it would be closer to the Eiffel tower than it was. More like a 10 minute walk and you could only see the top from the hotel you would hardly say you get a good view of it. First time staying in Paris so have nothing to compare it to. I would not stay there again.

This hotel is between The Eiffel Tower and Rue Cler, less than a half block to the Ecole Militaire Metro stop. There are two grocery stores next door, and very good restaurants nearby. The room isn't fancy, but the beds were comfortable and clean, the bathroom huge and modern. My room was on a courtyard and very quiet. My room rate did not include breakfast, but i could have paid 15E for breakfast at the hotel or there are many choices very nearby. There was good wifi in the room...free.

There were 3 reasons why I chose this hotel: free wifi, close to subway station, and rate was affordable. The rooms were spacious as well as the bathroom. I went to Paris on one of the coldest days and the heater worked well. As for bathroom amenities, you better bring your own. The do provide an all in one shower/shampoo/conditioner in a dispenser in the tub. They also only provide a packet of kleenex and cotton pads, but they never refilled it when they made up my room. Regarding the wifi, I kept getting kicked out of the network. I'm not sure if it was because I was using a smartphone though. However, they do have 2 computers in the lobby to use. This location is great because there is a franprix right nextdoor and cross the the street around the corner is the Ecole Militaire station with a carrefour by it.

This is a little gem of a hotel in a very convenient neighborhood, in the 7ieme arrondissement close to Ecole Militaire and the Tour Eiffel. It is quite close to the Ecole Militaire metro station and has cafés and brasseries close by. The staff are very efficient and pleasant and there is a delightful breakfast served in a lobby conservatory with a glass roof. The price of my room as very reasonable, although the room itself was tiny, on the top floor, but clean and well maintained. I'll definitely return.

I stayed at the Hotel De La Bourdonnais on a trip to Paris in December 2009 because I wanted to stay somewhere affordable with good reviews and convenience to the major tourist sites. The Hotel De La Bourdonnais did not disappoint. The hotel is minutes away from the Eiffel Tower and is within walking distance to supermarkets (there is one next to the hotel) and the Metro. Some of the rooms at the hotel face the Eiffel Tower, but mine did not. I had a single used the room mostly for sleeping, and the bed in the room was comfortable. If you are looking for a room for a couple, a single room with a full-size bed will offer just enough space for you as long as you do not have an overwhelming amount of luggage. Also, my room was next to a spiral staircase, and the curved wall of the staircase was my bathroom wall. That left little room between the toilet and the smallest part of the curve. Finally, it would have been nice if the hotel had offered a complimentary or at least cheaper breakfast instead of the 15 euro breakfast buffet offered. If you need a hotel in Paris that is comfortable and convenient to the major sites, I recommend the Hotel De La Bourdonnais.

Smoky smell was difficult. Decent size, especially bethroom, and great water pressure in the shower & bath. Friendly service, very quiet.

I only stayed for one night. Hotel was clean and comfortable and walking distance from the Eifel and Siene.

This was our second trip to Paris in the past three months. We were travelling with our ten year old son. The first trip we stayed too far from the centre and really did not get a chance to see Paris at night which was disappointing. This time it was perfect thanks to this hotel. It is in a perfect location. We had a great room where we could see the Eiffel Tower. Very obliging and helpful staff. It also had a real Paris feel about it.. Forget about big modern hotels, stay here You will love it.

The rooms are small and somewhat "drab" the hotel does give you the real feel of Europe...(small elevators, not modern, and no view). The price is right just manage expectations.... most rooms have no view and everything is small including the bathroom. The toliet area was clean. Bottom line is a good price and a good location for a very average room.

Great location 10 minute walk from the Eiffel tower and 15 minutes from the Champs Elysee. Cramped rooms with old furniture. Bath was remodeled and clean. No distinguishable decor or theme. If you asre planning to power sight see than this makes a good crash pad.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I were to go to Paris again. Super close to the Eiffel Tower and the Metro. Room was great, Nice little balcony where you can have an awesome view of the Eiffel Tower, Nice big bathroom and nice room size, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. You will want to get off at Metro stop Ecole Militarie and then take the exit for the Eiffel Tower. Very easy to find also.

Very close to Eiffel tower (3 min walk) hotel is old but rooms are renovated in a conveniently 2 grocery market nearby lots of cafes nearby 200m to metro station

Located 2 minutes walk from the École Militaire‎ metro and only 15 minute walk from The Eiffel Tower, the location was awesome. It was very close to a few local cheap (for Paris!) bars and restaurants too! My girlfriend and I were given a room with 2 beds (probably because of our differing surnames), which was not ideal so we asked to change to a double bed and we were upgraded to a Queen size within 15 minutes of asking. The room was clean, airy and had all of the facilities you would expect and the bed was very comfortable. The only things we did not try were the bar and the breakfast area in the hotel, as we prefered to grab food from the local supermarket or bars, but from a glance they seemed nice relaxing places and the selection looked good too! The staff were friendly and seemed well trained and always willing to help regarding directions or places to go. Overall, very pleasant and would happily visit there again :)

This is a great little hotel. Friendly staff. Convenient to metro trains and attractions. A bit older, but very nice. It would not be a five star by US standards, but well maintained and very clean.

The location of this hotel was terrific as it was within walking distance of many great sites. Our room was nice and comfortable, not cramped at all, with 2 beds that were nice and firm (prefer harder to softer mattresses). My mom didn't like that the toilet was separate from the rest of the bathroom but I didn't mind. The decor is definitely more old fashioned but reminded us of Hotel Colorado, which similarly is older but it gives the place character. The lift is tiny and so we were happy to be on the 1st floor where we could take the stairs daily. The grocery store right next door was definitely convenient as we could get drinks and little things that like easily. Like any hotel, some of the staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful, like Christian, who worked the night shift. Some, like this rather unapproachable looking man, looked bothered when I asked him to please reserve a taxi for me because the driver who had given me his info didn't speak hardly any English...I ended up having the lady who worked with him do it for me instead and it still took a little bit of asking to get it done...another red-headed lady who worked during the day on at least 2 days of our stay was also extremely helpful with getting us set up with tours, etc. The hotel breakfast offered was very reasonably priced (15 Euros) and tasty, so we took advantage of it on at least 2 occasions, esp. since it was available from 7-11am. The free computers (2) and printer in the hotel lobby were also great, hardly in use, and very convenient! Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to other travelers in the area!

What an incredible Hotel! Very helpful and freindly staff. Clean, nice sized room and Bathroom for 3 people. Very reasonable rates. We loved it and highly recommend it. Walking distance from the Eiffel Tower where many tours begin. It is in a quiet neighborhood that is very close to Metro. so you can get to the locations you want to visit. They serve a great breakfast for their guests.

The hotel's location was even better than I had hoped! Proximity to Tour Eiffel was amazing - I think some rooms even had a partial view. There were plenty of places to eat nearby, including a little grocery store right next door. The Metro was convenient, too. Front-desk staff were as friendly and helpful as anyone could want, and the room/bath were spacious (by Paris standards) and clean. My only complaint - a comment, really, more than a complaint - was that the room's decor lacked character and the appointments were not as up-scale as I am accustomed to in that price range. Bearing in mind that the hotel truly was in an amazing location, and priced much lower than others I have stayed at in Paris, I would wholeheartedly recommend it to those to whom value and location are more important than style.

I was satisfied with this hotel, although I don't plan on returning there. While I have travelled through Europe many times and except the rooms to be small, this was quite small especially considering that it is not a bargain. I found the front staff to be surly. I had a difficult time getting restaurant recommendations from them. Unlike the other hotels I stayed at during my two weeks in France, the staff here seemed to dislike dealing with the guests.

Excellent location for those wanting to see the Eiffel tower . Approximately a 15 minute walk from there.

Nice place, perfectly located near metro station "Ecole Militaire" and tour Eiffel. Drop the expensive breakfast (additional pay) and sit outside on one of many nearby cafes. We stayed in a quadruple family room which was small but served the purpose. Can only recommend this place and will stay there again when in Paris. Our stay was partly work and holiday related.

Close to the Eiffel Tower and Metro. Safe neighborhood. Though it's not a 5 star hotel, it was a great location and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was really good and fair price. It is a great hotel if you're on a budget. Most of the staff speaks English and are courteous. There are two computers in the lobby for internet access. My wife and I had a room on the 5th floor and could see the top of the Eiffel from our small balcony :)

This hotel is very well situated in a nice part of town. Very close to the Eiffel Tower with a metro stop at the corner of the street. Breakfast is good, but expensive (10 euro per person) if not included in your room rate. Our room was a little tight for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids), but is adequate for a short stay.

Great location!, nice service, the hotel is old but comfortable, a remodel of the linens will help. Other wise everything was great! The breakfast was fantastic!!!, we wish we was there longer. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers.

The location is excellent. A very short walk to the Eiffel Tower and metro station. Nice restaurants nearby, and a lovely, safe neighborhood. The front desk staff were so helpful and even secured a fun cooking class for us to attend. Two computers are available in the lobby with free internet access. Great place - highly recommend.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. Its location is very good, it is just 1 block besides champs de mars and a few minutes to Eiffel tower. The metro station Ecole Militaire is located at the corner of the block, around 200m walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpfull. The room was clean and tidy. Something we found useful is that there was a supermarket just beside the hotel where we bought drinks, fruit, and snacks. There are many charming coffe places "brasserie" around where to have breakfast. However, we recommend to go directly to try the exquisite variety of croissants at the bakery which is 50m from the metro station, exit 1.

We paid for Wi-Fi but no signal anywhere beyond second floor. Very expensive to ask the hotel to call you a taxi to airport. It costs you almost double the normal rate.

Great hotel for our first night in France - lovely neighborhood with restaurants, near Metro, park and major sights. Hotel was comfortable, clean and staff helpful. Glad we reserved parking with them which was conveniently located across the street - but seems limited so be sure to reserve if you need it. hotel was accessible for driving, although GPS made it easy. We had some trouble with their Wi-Fi but otherwise great place.

Hotel is in walking distance to the Eiffel Tower; Invalades; Seine river; Boat tours; bus tours; Metro station, and lots of cafes, and Rue Cler! Must see Eiffel Tower at night! Lights on at sunset and twinkle on the hour! Hotel breakfast buffet is good and a cute setting. Price not bad for Paris's high prices on dining. Great little supermarket next to hotel. Buy water and fruit and snacks there. Hotel is older but kept well and clean. People there are really helpful in English! Also sell museum and tour passes at their desk and make taxi arrangements for you. I would go back in a heartbeat.

This is a nice little hotel that is really convenient if you are a first-time tourist who wants to take in all the sights. As an American, I found there were minor annoyances - no alarm clock, no ice bucket, repeated attempts by housekeeping to clean the room even though I hung the "do not disturb" sign on the door - but if you can get past those little things, you will have an enjoyable stay. The staff were very helpful when we had questions - they helped us find an appropriate place to get a massage, they called cabs when it was raining, etc. We had the breakfast only one day, but did enjoy it. I liked this hotel, and although I was not blown away by anything about it, would recommend it in general.

Excellent breakfast that lasts until dinner without making u feel completely stuffed because it's just so good. Views of the Eiffel Tower if u lean out a little Quite central and easy access to metro with a fantastic brasserie at the closest main junction - La Terressa. Rooms were small and did not have kettle, coffee and tea but otherwise, clean and comfortable. also close to supernarkets and boulangeries! Oh, and if u exit the hotel, turn left and turn right on the main road and keep walking, great for shopping of local/European brands. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! wish i had more time!

Typical European hotel - small rooms and minimal communal areas, but that doesn't really matter given the location. Close to the metro and the 7th, this is a really stunning part of Paris. Clean room, perfectly adequate for a short stay. Recommended.

2 minute walk to the park surrounding the Eiffel tower, this hotel is situated perfectly in Paris. Very close to the nearest train stop too. The room was small, like most European rooms. It was a little outdated, but very clean. I would stay here again
