Stayed on 1/11/12-15. Excellent location, close to San Martins Plaza and Florida street. The Hotel staff was great from the beginning until the time we left. We had a bit problem with our room but Martin at the front desk took care the problem without any hesitation. Stayed in rooms 511 for the kids connecting to 512 overlooking 9 de Julio. Will recommend and will return again. Thank you Dan B. NJ

Very convient location, comfortable rooms with good breakfasts. The steakhouse opposite ofers magnificient steaks in both size and tenderness.

A good hotel for a honey moon, but also to to discuss the terms of a divorce. The city is so magic that the situation doesn't have any relevance. I will return to the city, maybe to the hotel, I don't know but I recomend it. I wrote three poems at that apartment! It was magic...

The hotel and staff were incredible...we really enjoyed our time in Buenos Aires!

We stayed at this hotel for a total of 6 nights and we LOVED it. The staff was very nice and helpful. We had a blow dryer break and they replaced it within a half an hour of calling them. The breakfast was wonderful, and the room was beautiful. We were very pleased with everything about this hotel!

Good, basic hotel, nothing too flash, convenient central location. Some of the staff were indifferent and not very knowledgeable--we asked about the Happy Hour advertised on the hotel's own website and no one seemed to know anything about it. Having said that, a couple of the staff members were excellent and went out of their way to be helpful. The restaurant across the road is also great.

The location was good but the bed was very unconfortable. My husband and I have not chronic back problems but felt like we did after a couple days on this mattress! Would have liked a coffee maker in the room.

We were welcomed to El Conquistador by Nico. He saw how tired we were from our travel from North America and made every arrangements to keep us comfortable until our room was ready. The hotel arranged for transportation for us from the airport and it went perfectly smooth. We spent 18 days in South America, 4 days in Buenos Aires, a week in Uruguay and then back in BA for the remainder of our trip. Both portions of our BA trip we stayed at El Conquistador. The location was excellent, close to everything. We wouldn't hesitate to book there again. Truly a home away from home. The complimentary breakfast was perfect. Lots of choices, more than enough food. Thank you.

This was an excellent hotel. Service was excellent, staff friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good and the hotel was very clean. Due to a flight change by the airline we had to cancel the first night and the hotel let us do this with less than 24 hrs notice. The last day of our stay my wallet was pickpocketed on the subway and the hotel assisted us to call Visa etc. , although we had already checked out. They are first class!

A good hotel, ten minutes away from shops etc., but with plenty of places to eat close by. Reception was excellent and everybody spoke good English. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices including some hot food.

This was a second visit to Buenos Aires and a planned 5 night stay. After checking many Hotels and the reviews for them through Trip Adviser and Hotels.ca. I choose to try the El Conquistador and booked a Superior Room for 2. The check-in was smooth and easy and I knew that they would not have a room for us so early in the morning, but they made every effort to accommodate us as soon as possible. Although the rooms are on the small side, the room was clean and comfortable. The sheets were changed every day and the room was cleaned very well. The area was exceptional for access to everything - no more than 2 to 3 blocks from Florida Street (pedestrian walking shopping street) and Santa Fe, another major shopping street. All sights were easy to get to, as the subway was available everywhere and the bus system is great. Taxis abound and are very reasonable. Check with front desk staff, they give great directions to everything also. All areas in this City are safe, But you must be careful to be alert, as in any busy crowded City. Pickpockets thrive in crowded areas anywhere in the World. We did not wear jewellery, carry lots of money and walked with purpose. Second time in City and we did not experience any problems, but do know of folks who have had watches removed and purses snatched. We used Taxis (radio taxis), Buses and Subway and had no problems getting where we wanted and back again, with help from front desk staff. Good Restaurant right across the street, grocery store and small convenience stores all around. Be prepared for the size of Steaks they serve and for sure try the best Empanades anywhere at La Continental just off Santa Fe and 2 blocks over from Carlos Pellegrini Ave. Love this City and will return again....

I spent a week in Buenos Aires for work. I really enjoyed this hotel. It had a bar, restaurant and clean appearance. I had never been to Buenos Aires before so I feel that I lucked out! The area the hotel is in is more congested, NYC feel - but its also situated in the middle of the city and its easy to get everywhere. Because the streets are a little busier around its really easy to catch a cab. It was also nice that if I wanted to stay in, which I did one night, I could have a glass of wine and some food in the lounge/bar area. The staff was very nice and informative. I would stay there again for sure! The only negative is possible the noise outside. I had to keep the window open because I get pretty hot. That added to some of the noise factor.

The Conquistador Hotel is a nice, clean hotel, within walking distance of many attractions such as the Plaza San Martin, oblesk, and Theatro Colon. It is also close to the Retiro train station and a subway stop for the A train. The hotel has a very good full breakfast. The one thing about the hotel is that the upkeep is not as good as other nearby hotels. Caulking was slopped around the tub in the bathroom; the shower glass leaked, leaving a pool of water in the corner of the bathroom; a tear in the carpet was poorly mended and clearly visible; and the last paint job on the walls left paint of the ceiling. This lack of detail makes the hotel seem far more aged and seedy than it is, when compared to nearby hotels. By the way, there is a strip club three storefronts down, so if you have litte kids and are walking toward Corrientes Ave., be aware that you will see very risque posters.

Had a good experience with the hotel, they were very helpful

Very good customer service. There's two guys at the front desk in the evenings who speak english and are very nice and helpful. But in the morning there's another guy who's not helpful at all. Go figure. The hotel food is awesome, believe it or not, compared to restaurants. Great free breakfast – ask for cream for your coffee and get a nice surprise. And there is a completely excellent restaurant right across the street with perfect steaks at low prices. Chicken is just as good and half that price. And a cheap convenient store right across the street is a nice help. But that's where the good stuff ends. They charge to use the computers. Our rooms smelled like sewage and smoke (we switched rooms once). It has one of those half shower doors so you get the whole bathroom wet if you're not careful. Small space. Walls are thin and you hear the neighbors. But good cable which helps to learn spanish because they show American movies with sub-titles. Outdated and needs refreshing. It's on a busy back street. Location is not glamorous. Overall, a 2 or 3 star. They could charge much less for what you get.

The hotel is well located near restaurants, attractions, etc. As a business traveler, I am looking for good location and a quiet place to rest and El Conquistador accomplished my requirements.

Overall a very pleasant stay.Breakfast was excellent and dining area clean.Staff very pleasant. The gym was however a little disappointing and the sauna was not working.

Not so bad for the price. The hotel needs some refurbish, but overall is good. The breakfast is good as per the argentine standard, and the location is not so bad, close to the center. Be carefull with the bars in the surroundings, as they are very risky

The hotel staff was wonderful. They were great with helping with rental cars, taxis and offering for things to do in the city. The breakfast they offer is fantastic and the service was great.

Funcionários atenciosos, inclusive em nos entender mesmo falando em portugues. Café da manhã razoável (algumas frutas, pães, bolos, sucos, crepe, etc). A sua localização é um ponto muito positivo.

Sehr zentrale Lage, fast alle Sehenswürdikeiten zu Fuß erreichbar. Hotel entsprach meinen Erwartungen. Würde jederzeit dort wieder Zimmer mieten.

Wir hatten 2 Aufenthalte. Beim ersten Mal war das Zimmer nicht sehr groß. Das mag daran gelegen haben, dass wir nach entsprechender Frage auf einem Doppelbett bestanden haben und anscheinend dieses Zimmer noch zur Verfügung stand. Beim zweiten Aufenthalt erhielten wir ein kleines Apartment (2 Zimmer), sehr groß. Wegen des ersten Aufenthalts mit kleinem Zimmer gab ich bei der Gesamtbewertung nur die Nr. 4.

El hotel esta ubicado en la zona centrica. Comodo y limpio. Muy buen desayuno. El personal es cordial y atento.

Precisa urgente de atualização, quartos escuros, antigos, roupa de cama horrível!!!Não recomendo.

Melhorar o café da manhã, com mais variedades em frutas e espaço físico melhor

A suite junior é confortável e o serviço de quarto muito bom. A localização é ótima, próximo de tudo que um turista necessita.. Recomendarei aos amigos.

Pessoal do hotel muito gentil. coisa rara em muitos hoteis.

Por otro lado el servicio del Bar, no tenia una persona idonea para el servicio. Sin ninguna nocion en la preparacion de tragos.

O hotel superou minhas expectativas. A equipe toda do hotel sempre muito simpática e prestativa. O café da manhã foi repetitivo, mas satisfatório. itens do frigobar e do lobby estava, bem caros, mas tem um supermercado em frente que ajuda bastante. Eu e minha esposa caminhamos a noite nas região e não tivemos problemas. Mas o centro é meio feio comparado com Ricoleta por exemplo, Um restaurante em frente o hotel também ofereceu boa comida. Tem uma boate que parece ter stripper e outras coisas perto do hotel. Os quartos não são grandes mas de tamanho adequado. Janelas acústicas e colchão muito bom proporcionaram ótima noite de sono.

El hotel esta bien sin más. Esta centrico pero en una calle de clubes un poco oscura y fea. El desayuno es normal con medidas argentinas, es decir un poco escaso con poca variedad comparado con muchos hoteles europeos.

Gostei muito de minha estadia no hotel el conquistador, a localização é realmente privilegiada, o hotel é novo, piso de madeira bem limpo, a recepção é muito charmosa, e o terraço onde tem café da manhã também é agradável demais! Porém o quarto que fiquei era um pouco pequeno e a acomodação das malas ficou prejudicada! Tivemos que improvisar e colocar a mala em cima da mesa! De qualquer forma recomendo!

Hotel limpio, algo anticuado, còmodo. Baños pequeños. Desayuno adecuado. Cerca de comercios. Sinembargo vecindario con sitios de entretenimiento adulto cercano, no muy adecuado para familias con niños, ni para llegar tarde.

Todas as vezes que precisei de auxilio da recepção fui prontamente atendida Hotel limpo ,bem localizado,tem tudo que o hospede necessita em sua viagem de lazer ou de negocios.

muito bom ,fiquei super satisfeito com a localizacao e o com o pessoal da recepcao,muito cordiais e preocupados em atender e orientarnos a respeito do que poderiamos fazer e em momento algum quiz nos oferecer os pacotes normalmente comuns oferecidos em todos os hoteis para turistas.
