Brunelleschi Hotel - فلورنس

Keeping in mind we upgraded to a magnificent suite, we loved it at Brunelleschi. The suite was fabulous, had everything and more including a bedroom with a rooftop terrace containing a jacuzzi, all looking out over rooftops and the Duomo. The hotel is perfectly located, close to everything, with good breakfast and delightful communal areas. Cleanliness and service excellent. Only gripe was no free wifi, which ought to be included in the tariff.

Our stay at the Hotel Brunelleschi was wonderful. Very nice breakfast buffet... courteous staff. The common areas at the hotel were looking very tired, but we learned while we were there that they were about to embark on a full renovation of those spaces.... The staff was very helpful, except for the overnight desk attendant who seemed to be bothered whenever we came in late or left very early in the morning. All the food and drink in most of Florence is priced quite reasonably, except for the Hotel's... wished that we could finish each day with a nightcap at the hotel bar, but our bar bill for 2 gin and tonics, plus complementary peanuts and chips came to 54 euros ! The next night, at a lovely cafe on the Duomo square, our bill for a glass of wine, a cappuchino, and a tiramisu totaled only 18 euros!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days then went to Rome for 4 days and returned to Hotel Brunelleschi for the remaining 2 days of our trip. We loved this hotel. The rooms were lovely and immaculate and we were thrilled to be upgraded to a beautiful suite after returning from Rome without having to request this change. It was wonderful! The location of the hotel is fantastic and you can walk anywhere in Florence without a problem. The surrounding neighborhood is charming and filled with beautiful shops and places to eat. The hotel staff was a pleasure to deal with every day and we were so grateful to Sergio for his kind manner and all his assistance. Beatrice and Raffaele were also a joy and extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of foods and you could eat enough to get you through hours of walking and touring. We are so glad that we chose this hotel-we would not hesitate to stay there again and and would highly recommend it to others.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were beautiful and immaculate. The location was perfect allowing us to walk everywhere in Florence. The hotel staff especially Sergio could not have been more pleasant, courteous and helpful during our stay and we also were grateful for the assistance of Beatrice and Raffaele-all were wonderful to us. We would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again in the future and would highly recommend it to others.

Had a wonderful stay here and couldn't ask for a better location. Would stay there again without a doubt. Beds really comfortable and bathrooms really well appointed with power shower, very clean. Only complaint was no free wifi, even in the public areas, which was disappointing. Otherwise we were extremely pleased with our choice.

Highly reccomend this hotel to travelers! It was in a great location and recently renovated (was more American-ized than most European type of hotels). The staff was wonderful and helped us with whatever we needed at a moments notice. The hotel breakfast was a bit pricey (20 Euro's per person for a buffet type). Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay there if we return to Firenze!

This is a nice hotel, & has a lovely breakfast. The dinner in the "tower" was outstanding. The only problem with the hotel is that there wasn't one drawer in the entire room; there's simply no place to put your belongings, other than to spread everything on the floor.

tucked away in a narrow hidden square,,it is an extremely modern hotel.It is within walking distance to many churches and museums.A little expensive as three of us did get a great suite with jacuzzi and hottub.It was a pleasnt surprise from the hotels in rome.Florence is really enjoyable and needs time to truly appreciate.

Excellent location. Close to shopping, restaurants, and the Duomo. Hotel staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. Rooms are large compared to other European hotels. Only problems we had were a smoke smell in our room one night, but maintenance cleared it up as soon as we called down with the problem.

Very centrally located in Florence. Very nice. Very helpful staff. They were doing some upgrading of the hotel, but only for more improvements. The room size was very large and very nice!

The hotel was lovely! The location was perfect-tucked away- Unfortunately, it is still under renovation so common areas are not attractive, construction is taking place and the old elevator ride was scary to say the least- Other than this, I would highly recommend this hotel but will wait for the renovation to be completed!

The staff was great, Ross at front desk very helpfull. Location and the hotel was great....made our trip to Florence very enjoyable

The Brunelleschi Hotel in Florence - tucked into a quiet/charming street was undergoing renovation in parts, but the rooms we had were completed and beautiful... hardwood floors, fabulous bath and bed. Would definitely stay there again ... near neighborhood restaurants and shopping are excellent, less than 5 minutes to the Duomo... check out Grom gelato.

Part of the hotel is still in renovation though other than some circulation inconvenience, there was no noise or anything that would bother us. Nevertheless our newly renovation room is very nice and clean, the service is reasonably courteous, and the location can't be beat.

First time to Florence. We loved this hotel and would highly recommend it. Our room was quiet even tho overlooking the main street, so sleeping was easy. Air conditioned. Comfortable bVery front staff very friendly. Very central to everything! We would stay here again.

This hotel was by far the best hotel we stayed in while in Italy. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and in a great location by the Duomo. I would definitely stay again!

The location of this hotel is very near the duomo and right in the centre of the city. The room we stayed at was newly renovated so there was still the smell of fresh paint but it's bearable. What we do love is the exterior facade of the hotel that looks so old and historical, it's hard not to love it.

My Family and I spent three nights at this hotel. The hotel is situated right in the heart of Florence. The hotel and the service we received was nothing less than outstanding. All the amenities listed were available. You will not regret staying at this hotel.

YES. Everything at the Brunelleschi Hotel was fabulous from the moment we checked in. Our room was awesome. Great bed & bedding. White fluffy bathrobes, slippers, big bath towels, heated towel rack. Also, the concierges were amazing. Greeted us every time we entered the hotel. When we 1st arrived we were running late to for the 2pm tickets to the Uffitzi. They called and changed out tickets for us. The concierge also provided us with amazing restaurants while in Florence and helped us book a wine tour to Chianti. The hotel is walking distance from all the major sites in Florence. The Duomo, the Uffitzi, the Accademia, and all the shops. I highly highly recommend this hotel while staying in Florence.

The hotel itself was beautiful,with a very pleasent and helpful staff. Finding the hotel was an adventure ,with police closed streets after a certain time,and poorly marked streets. Parking,forget it....

We had a good experience with one small hiccup at this hotel. Even though I had booked a normal room, we were upgraded to a junior suite. I thought this was fortunate until I saw the room. It had not been renovated yet like the rest of the hotel had been and the windows were not insulated so the room was freezing in the morning. However, after informing the staff of this they quickly made arrangements to get us into another room. The staff was very helpful making dinner reservations and printing out train schedules to help us navigate the rest of our journey. Would highly recommend this hotel to others because of the excellent service, nice rooms (only the recently renovated ones), and excellent location.

I have been to this sweet hideaway hotel several times. It has been a nice romantic getaway in the past, however: 1) The hotel has been renovated which is normally good, but it has been done in New York ultra modern style which is in total dissonance to the historic character of the building. Bad choice 2) The breakfast room had mind numbing trance music drowning out the atmosphere. 3) The air conditioning was insufficient for the room. Paid a lot of $$ for a room that was uncomfortable. 4) In house restaurant was great. Good food, but beware the price...very high! Unfortunately there are too many great choices in Florence for this type of money. The premium is not worth it any more, for me.

Staff was not the greatest and the elevators were a little scary, but you can not beat the location.

This hotel was by far our favorite during our honeymoon in Italy. The room was enormous by American standards, let alone European. The staff was friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. We were disappointed the tower was closed for renovation but otherwise it was an outstanding stay.

The hotel is located one block from the Duomo in a great part of the city. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious.

The hotel was in a great location. Everything about the hotel was good except or the bed and the bed linens. The bed was very hard and the linens were not comfortable. The staff was good, the beakfast was very good. The museum in the basement was cool.

The hotel is excellent and extremely well located. The room we were given (401) was extremely small and poorly decorated. The bathroom was OK. The hotel from the outside and the lobby appears much better than the room we got, so we think that we just did not get one of their better offeres. However, other guests staying there at the time had similar rooms. So there may be some rooms that are far better but not those given to those of us making reservations through Hotels.com. I recommend it because of its exquisite location and great air conditioning.

The position of the hotel is so special that one can overlook the fact that it is rather run down. Very good deal on the price so we have no grumbles but had we paid the full price we would have been very unhappy.

This was a wonderful hotel! Can't beat the location. Duomo a couple hundred feet away! Wonderful view from our window. good size room/bathroom for european boutique hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. very clean! would absolutely stay here again on a trip to florence and I do have high standards for hotels!

I have stayed at the Brunelleschi a few years ago, and it seems that the hotel has not been kept in the greatest condition. Our shower leaked and both the bathroom and bedroom felt old and a worn down. Overall it was fine, but I think you can get a better hotel for the price. No longer worthy of the four star rating.

The hotel is exquisite and the service excellent. It was fascinating to discover that the building was a mediaeval tower dating from the 13th century. There is a museum in the basement that any history lover should take time to see. (You have to ask to see it, but it is well worth it.) The other secret tip is to go up onto the roof terrace to enjoy the breathtaking views of the duomo. Again, this is not signposted, but worth tracking down. Breakfast was delicious, varied and abundant. Last, but not least, we would like to mention Sergio, on reception. Whose patience, charm and good humour made our stay twice as enjoyable. We hope his employers recognise what a gem they have in him!

We were traveling in Europe (Greece, Italy, and France) for one month. This was by far the worst hotel that we stayed in. We were expecting a 4 star hotel. Instead this hotel, in its present condition, barely rates 2 stars. It has not been renovated in 20 years. We were told that 90% of the hotel will be closed in November for a much needed facelift. It will not be ready until March at which time the prices will probably reflect the cost of the makeover! We were supposedly upgraded to a "superior" room. I would hate to have seen a regular room. The paint in the room was peeling, the desk was scratched and had legs that looked as though a dog had been using it as a chew toy! The bathroom fixtures were old and worn. Overall a very depressing room. We booked the hotel because it is located in a private little courtyard but we were given a room overlooking the main street and could hear all outside noise throughout the night. All in all, a most disappointing experience. When we informed reception of our displeasure, we were assured that things would improve after March and as proof, we were shown one of the newly refurbished upgraded rooms that remained unoccupied while we were given maid's quarters! It was like adding insult to injury! Definitely a place to avoid, at least until March 2010!

Booked as a trip for myself and my mum, we were looking for comfort and location. The Brunelleschi has both. Can't fault the location, easy to nip back when your feet ache or heat is too much! Original tower is beautiful, as the many tour guides that pass it tell you. Staff were efficient and polite, but did not go 'the extra mile' That said, we had no complaints and all questions were answered. Breakfast was lovely and very civilised times-until10am,which seemed negotiable. Room was lovely,and considering the location in the heart of Florence, you couldn;t hear a thing with the windows shut. Would def return and recommend.

great location. right by the main piazza. Service was okay but the room was very small. big bathroom but that is pretty standard in europe. overall satisfied.

Felt like I was the looked down on during my entire stay. Asking saff to do anything for us was treated as a chore. We felt taken advantage of whe we asked about reservations for the Academia museum and were told they were necessary if we wated to get into the museum quickly, thiking this was a hotel service we agreed. When we found out this service would cost us 8 Euro each we canceled only to find we could wak right into the museum with no wait at all (though w did go early). The hotel was very demeaning to us and I felt veryunwelcomed in general. terthan poor treatment, the hotel was cleanand close to the sights, still wold rather stayelsewhre and be trated better

Right in the center of florence. very helpful staff.. very clean hotel. a bit difficult to get to, not the fault of the hotel, but rather the fact that it is in the center of florence and driving on narrow steets with pedistrians and scooters everywhere is not easy. Hotel is slated to undergo renovations which would make it even better. I strongly recommend this property.

Hotel in great location. However, the room was very small and not updated in a long time. Hotel staff was very rude and unfriendly.

The staff was efficient and helpful. The hotel's location is excellent--we walked everywhere. The public spaces are beautiful and the breakfast is great. The guest rooms are not as nice as the rest of the hotel, but are clean and acceptable. The first room we were shown was very small and on a busy street, but on request we were moved to a larger room in a quieter location. The bathrooms in both rooms were large and up-to-date.

We liked the hotel, but the desk service was hit and miss. One concierge sent us to a wonderful restaurant that fit exactly with our requirements. Another was rude and unhelpful when they could not find our rental car in the garage when we were trying to get to a wedding (it turned out they had given the car to the wrong guests). Good location. The rooms are small but adequate if you need it just for sleeping and showering.

The room faced a major street with a lot of noise at night that kept us awake on Saturday night. The lobby was not attractive at all. The bathroom was unattractive. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful, however, we speak fluent Italian. The location is ideal.

Lage und Einrichtungskonzept des Hotels sind ideal. Herrlicher Parkettboden in den Zimmern. Tolles modernes Bad mit Bidet! Geldgieriger Service; für die Vorbestellung von vier, an sich kostenlosen Eintrittskarten, berechnete man 32 Euro und das ohne Quittung! In einem super "designeten" Zimmer gab es "tote Winkel" bzw. Dreckecken, die von den Rubbermaids ständig übersehen werden, z.B. die Headboards der Betten waren total verstaubt. Frühstücksservice vorbildlich!
