Fantastic location, large comfortable rooms, friendly staff

Excellent location to walk around and explore the city, very large variety of malls/stores to shop including food establishments, historic sights, everything you could want within walking distance of the hotel. Quality service, very clean rooms and well maintained.

Great service and friendliness. Helped us book excursion

Loved Stuttgart and this hotel is very, very conveniently located....One block from the top end of the main shopping, strolling street Konigsstrasse, and just across the street from the train station and main subway station. Friendly and effecient staff, very helpful and cheerful. Complaints....very high price for parking (if you drive I suggest looking offsite for parking) and high fees for very slow wi fi. Else, very nice clean rooms with views of the city and the Sclossgarden. Good eating and lots of shopping nearby. Porsche museum and factory about 20 min by subway and about 5 euro round trip.

I could not have asked for anything more. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The room was beautiful; bed was scrumptious. Perfect location - close to shopping, the train station, restaurants, museums and right on the park! Will definitely plan to stay here for all my Stuttgart trips.

Luxurious hotel with friendly & helpful staff. Choices of food in the cafe could be wider but what's there is very nice.

We stayed in a Superior Room, which was very comfortable and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed using the hotel's bicycles to ride around the Schlossgarten, which is adjacent to the hotel. The hotel location is perfect for visitors - we arrived late in the evening at the Hauptbahnhof and were welcomed minutes later in the hotel.

Friendly staff, good resturant. small parking spaces.. family of 2+2 (6,8)+ grandma

The only word of caution I would offer is to eat somewhere other than the hotel restaurant. We did find that the wait staff were not thrilled with English customers. However, the staff of the actual hotel were very friendly and helpful.

The personnel were very friendly. The hotel was very clean and in a good location. We would stay again.

My daughter became ill during our visit. When I called the front desk to inquire about room service, the staff arranged for a special clear broth not on the menu, and it arrived with a handwritten note wishing her a speedy recovery. The room was very comfortable, and the restaurants (both the breakfast cafe and the upstairs formal dining room) were delicious. I would definitely stay here again, especially since the hotel is very well located near the Hbf metro and train station.

Good value for its position across the road from rail station. Clean comfortable quiet with good bedding. Staff were polite and helpfull.As a seasoned traveller, it's one of the better hotels

The best of the group of hotel's right opposite the main station, forget the rest, go for this one. Rooms and all facilites were top notch, breakfast was not included, but I also could not find breakfast at any of the other biggies nearby being offered. Must be a Stuttgart sort of thing. The cost of breakfast was too expensive, you won't go hungry, plenty of stuff nearby. From the station, it it is undercover all the way, up the pedestrian escalator, and bang, the hotel is on the left. Garden frontage means peace and quiet. Fantastic loaction to main street and those department stores and Christmas Markets. This hotel chain, Altoff, had very high standards that will not disappoint.

It is a very nice hotel near the central train station in Stuttgart. The stay was nice & I was very well received & treated nicely. Either you're visiting for business or vacation, it is a nice place to be.

Located right across from the Hauptbanhoff and right on the pedestrian street, the Althoff was in a perfect location and had wonderful service. My wife had sprained her ankle earlier that day, and the front desk sent up a bucket of crushed ice for her. The junior suite was a good deal, and it only took 30 minutes to get to the airport on the S-bahn.

Overall a wonderful stay with friendly helpful staff. It even has a 1 Michelin star restaurant (Zirbelstube) which has an excellent set lunch. It is conveniently located opposite the Stuttgart central train station, but is not terribly well signposted and may be a bit challenging to locate from the station. Just follow the signs for "Konigstrasse" NOT "Schlossgarten", exit the other side of the underground tunnel and turn first left to find the hotel. Only a short 2-3 minute walk. I made the mistake of following the signs to "Schlossgarten" and could not locate the hotel. The locals know it as Hotel am Schlossgarten and asking for the Althoff hotel did not help. Once there though, the hotel was wonderful and also great value. Highly recommended!

Hotel was excellent. Very convenient to train station and surrounded by garden. Hotel staff was extremely helpful. I strongly recommend staying here if you are in the Stuttgart area.

I recently stayed in the Schlossgarten for four nights over Christmas, and the entire stay was delightful. Although the standard rooms are relatively small, they are of a decent size for European cities. The beds are very comfortable, as are the rest of the rooms with a comfortable armchair and footrest. The staff at the hotel were a delight: friendly, knowledgable, courteous and ready to help. The main restaurant is ridiculously overpriced, but that is the case in most Continental hotel restaurants.

The front desk staff was very unhelpful. Of the five hotels we stayed in on our vacation, this was the most expensive and the least helpful. In addition, the elevators were under construction so getting to the parking garage was very difficult. Our room was large but very out dated and there was an outrageous charge for wifi access. All hotels should have free wifi available at least in the lobby. FYI we were not traveling on a small budget which made this very disappointing .

Great room, great staff. One night spent there was very restfull. A tad ex[pensive for the budget traveler, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Here's the thing - Althoff Hotel am Schlossgarten wants to be something great, and it can be. Problem is, it still has a way to go, and it doesn't seem like they know it. I travel the world, and spend most of my time at hotels in the upper end of the scale, and Althoff wants to be in that region of the scale. The room (I had a junior suite) is the right size, but as always, the true devil lies in the details, and the details arn't really that thought through... Let me give you an example. The TV in the junior suites is a fairly big flatscreen. I'd say around 52". here's the problem; it's wall mounted on a bracket that doesn't allow for it to be moved. Watching TV in bed? Sorry, can't do. I always ask for international papers when I travel. In this case they offered The Times, on check in. next day, the Stuttgart local paper was delivered in a bag on my door. that's about as useful as a snoozebutton on a smokealarm. Again, the devil is in the details. This hotel has soul, it has location, and it has the staff. What it needs, is someone to actually go over the details, the little things that will take it from "averege +", to "great". No doubt it can get there, my only problem is - it already belives it's there, and that's not really the case. But hey, as a place to spend the night, you can't ask for much more.

Hotel très bien situé en face de la gare et du schlossgarten (très grand parc). Le centre ville commerçant est à 2 pas et les transports en commun aussi. Nous avions réservé l'hotel en promo et donc le petit dej n'était pas compris. Pour info, le prix du petit dej est de 23 €. A 1 ou 2 c'est soutenable, mais comme nous étions 5, nous avons préféré aller dans dans un "bistro" dans la grande rue piétonne où les tarifs sont nettement plus doux (entre 5€80 et 7€80 pour des formules très très complètes !! Pour manger le soir (ou le midi), un grand nombre de petit restos aux environs. Sinon, le tarif des consommations que l'on prends dans l'hotel est très raisonnable !

Virkeligt fremragende hotel med fornem service. Fantastisk beliggenhed ved banegården og Königsstrasse og Schlossgarten på den anden side. Kun små bemærkninger som ikke er værd at nævne. Fremragende tilbud uden for sæsonen, også selv om hotellet er medlem af Leading Hotels ofv the World. Eneste indvending er at hotellet serverer fremragende goumetmad til 1 Michelinstjerne, men ikke andet, så det er ikke billigt. Men der er fremragende restauranter af alle slags i Calwer Strasse.

Hotellet hadde en flott og meget sentral beliggenhet. Stille og rolig og en fantastisk atmosfære. Betjeningen gjorde alt for at vi skullle føle oss komfortabel. Anbefales på det sterkeste.

スタッフの皆さんが親切でした。バスタブ付きのお部屋にアップグレードしてくれたり、朝食会場では窓際のよい席をすすめてくれたりと、嬉しいことが多かったです。朝夕2回のハウスキーピングも気持ちが良かったです。設備は古いので暖房器具の音が少し気になりましたが、又利用したいと思いました。

Super toll, ausser die Bedienung im Frühstücksraum war sehr unfreundlich.
