Nice

There was hair around the sink and a paper clip on the floor. Gave me the impression the room was not clean. The lady at the desk was very nice and very helpful for directions and advising me where to eat.

No hair dryer caused some problems for my wife, but otherwise adequate and good price. Room almost musty smelling by heat worked well and linen was good. Expensive area with this being a manageable price. Really liked the crab shack nearby.

The room and bathroom were filthy. The phone didn't work and the front desk service didn't care or bother to correct the issue. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

1) It was not located in Princeton but Trenton 2) Their facilities were terrible (no light, out of order of flusing out) 3) Expensive than what it is supposed to be. Look like a reasonable place to stay but turned out to be terrible.

Although nothing special and located on an annoying highway, this was a good, clean, basic hotel well worth the price. The only real negative part of the experience was checking in later in the evening. They shut up the lobby and only open a small cashier's window, where you feel a bit like a criminal undergoing a record check. The room came with a refrigerator and microwave, which was great for a person travelling alone and was perfectly comfortable for working in/reading at night. You won't be pampered here, but it's a good buy for the money and no worse location than many other pricier hotels along Highway 1.

This was a motel with a very unsafe feeling. The parking lot was dimly lit, the front desk staff was shady feeling -- asking way too many personal questions for comfort. We left without taking our room, as a personal safety is a lot more important than a inexpensive room.

The biggest bed bug I have ever seen

Nice, chain hotel at a competitive price. This RRI location was clean and mostly quiet. I appreciated the friendliness of the desk staff. NJ has a unique road system....few, if any, left turns. The location of this hotel requires a little extra driving, if you are heading to NYC.

Condition of hotel for the low cost is very good. When requested for iron board and iron, a lady on the morning shift brought and handed me an iron that was burned/scorched. I askef if she had another one better. She went in to get another one saying that that burn would not transfer to cloth, she used the iron before. This time only she brought me a perfect iron. Although this lady gave me a terrible experience, it would be unfair to give bad rating to the overall service. The other evening shift receptionists and cleaning staff were very polite and did good job.

Only concern was that the electronic key could be deactivated if the key was placed close to a cell phone, like in your pocket. The front desk however was always willing to reactivate the key. No other issues.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Room was vaccuumed once. Internet was not a strong connection throughout the stay. New supplies for the bath area were not supplied daily.

Great deal! Great location!

Really, STAY AWAY. Look at for alternatives! First we were assigned a room where the bed was not made, towels on the floor, etc. Not sure if there were still occupants assigned there. Second, when we got to our newly assigned room, it was really cold. We cranked the thermostat up, but the heater won't start. Went to bed around midnight, wearing warm clothing. Then, the whole family woke up sweating at 4am. The room at 85-90 degrees! for a thermostat set at 70! Couldn't got back to sleep. Had to use the A/C to cool the room down. I barely got enough sleep for my interview that day, after an extensive traveling the night before. Additionally, Poor location - difficult to get in and out of the hotel.

The first room in which they put us in was not clean and the sheets had a huge brown stain. The second room was a little better but definitely needed some work. The guy behind the desk and the security guard was not very courteous at all. No greeting just last name please. I had to make them speak by me saying well heloo good evening How are you all tonight. Still did not act as though they wanted to respond. This shoudl be unacceptable as a business do to first impressions should be the lasting one for a customer and with out the customers there would be no RedRoof Inn.

Excellent

Stayed here because of the very low rate compared to other hotels in the area. Beware that it is difficult to make a U-turn on Route 1 in this area, so the location could be inconvenient. Our room had a weird chemical cleaning smell that took forever to eliminate with the A/C fan. We elected a non-smoking room but perhaps someone had been smoking in it and they tried to deodorize it. There was no hair dryer in the room but the front desk had one. Beds were worn out and had those disgusting covers on them. Minimal little shampoo packets with no conditioner or anything else. Other low rate hotels do much better.

for the price i paid its ok. location is in route 1, mall is few min away. TV is useless, bad reception. we used it to rest and shower for a long drive

Our room was a non-smoking, yet there were cigarette burns on the blankets and our neighbors were loud throughout most of the night. But the staff was very helpful and the room was clean. It is inconvenient since it is located on Route 1, so you can't turn left, but it was an average stay overall.

The hotel was decent with the basic stuff. This should be named as Red Roof Inn, Lawrenceville or Trenton instead of Princeton. At times did not feel safe even in the parking lot. First night there were a bunch of teenagers who rented and were very unruly. The police came to quiet them. Overall this is a decent hotel, but just need to be a bit careful with the surroundings.

Room 221 offered as non-smoking room but smelled heavy of smoke. Bathroom not very clean-dirt and cobwebs.

We needed a room for the night on our trip and this did the trick at a great price. Convenient to the highway and close to stores.

Very Noisy. We couldn't sleep. The maids left out door unlocked & open twice! The maids refused to clean our room even after we complained to the front desk. Four night stay, one cleaning. Building is in poor maintenance. I was actually worried the stairs may collapse because of their old age.

Room was not as nice as I expected being a business class room. Sink and mirror were outside the bath part whcih means that after a shower or bath you had to go into the bedroom to use the sink. The failure to make a wake up call caused me to be late for a morning meeting. Had to change keys twice.

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The wi-fi worked well. Breakfast is a bit of a challenge since, while there is free coffee available in the lobby, there is no food. The nearest place to get breakfast, the desk clerk told me, is two miles south. Returning from that diner to the Inn adds a number of additional miles (and takes a fair amount of time) since there are only a limited number of places to make a U-Turn on Rt. 1

Only reason I stayed was they took pets

Our room's thermostat was broke and we had to be moved to another room because it was near 80 degrees. A/C didn't work in that room either. Bed slept comfortably, so it was a basic decent room for a quick overnight, but nothing to write home about.

The hotel is very basic, but fine. Staff is helpful and friendly. Only problem is exiting hotel on Route 1. The traffic is extremely heavy and it took me ten minuites to get out on Friday afternoon and I couldn't get on to proper lane and ended up going out of my way to return to Princeton Junction. Otherwise, all ok.

Hotel was decent for the price and location. No continental breakfast. The quality of the bed dressing could have been better and box spring had stains. Besides that the room was clean.

Stayed recently on business travel and frankly expected the wort due to rating, but price was right. Check in was easy, staff was friendly, room was recently updated and painted, bathroom was very clean, and bed was comfortable. Not lots of frills, but if you're looking for a value, this hotel is just fine.

We got good value. The rooms were well maintained, neat and clean, although spartan. The one thing that needs improvement is that it was difficult to find the office - it's inconspicuous and NOT near the entrance to the property or the illuminated sign that's seen from the road. There were no signs directing us to it. We had to drive around the whole place before we found it.

I arrived at this hotel and was told that they didn't have my reservation. I showed them the confirmation and they had me down as a no-show. For some reason they had the dates wrong. I was booked for two nights, paid for two nights, but only stayed one. The beds were very squeaky and uncomfortable. There was trash under the beds. There were spiders in the bathroom. Upon entering the room the AC was on full blast making the room too cold. We turned it off and had to put the heat on in order to thaw out the room. It took several hours to warm up the room. It's only a 2 star, so I shouldn't have expected too much. On the plus side, the internet access was very good, and the coffee in the lobby was okay.

When I got in the room, I noticed that there was no soap or shampoo, nor any plastic cups. Although in the ads it claimed to have frig and microwave, it didn't. It also claimed to have WiF but. I could not connect to internet. I went to the front office to get soap and shampoo. When I asked about the frig and microwave (not that I needed them), I was told that the cheap rate I got did not include these. I felt it was an untruthful ad. When I was ready to go to bed, the sheet didn't look fresh, so I made a mark at a corner. The next morning I did not put the card (if I did not want to have sheets changed) on the pillow. As I left the room, an information sheet dropped on the floor. I was in a hurry and didn't pick it up. Upon my return in the evening that sheet was still on the floor (not vacuumed). I looked at the corner of the sheet, the mark was still there. The sheets were not changed. I went to the office. I was told that he was the only one there. No staff could change the sheets. I can complain to the manager in the morning. The toilet was also sluggish. I had to pour extra water in there to get it to flush. When I checked out in the morning, I complained to the manager. He was apologetic. He couldn't refund any part of money, but did offer 2 vouchers of 15% discount for future stay. I declined,

The beds at this hotel were uncomfortale and I woke up with severe back strains. Otherwise it was fine.

worked fine for our family, but the room felt a little less than fully vacuumed, was icy cold when we arrived (is it nec. to run an air conditioner at full tilt all day when a room is unoccupied?) The beds were not the most comfortable. Still, for the money and convenience, it was fine.

Stayed here while visiting Sesame Place and other sites. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. After spending a long day in 90 degree weather, it was nice to walk into a room where housekeeping had already turned on the air for us. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised!

Fairly ok hotel, no special facilities compared to other similar hotels

Beds and pillows were bad. Room was dirty. A pain to get in and out of hotel property with divided highway. Only plus, it was cheap.

There was no waste basket in any room--and the bed was very uncomfortable.
