Pros: downtown, right next to Alameda Cons: the entire pool area has been turned into a smoking area for the bar, all with "reserved" signs so you can't even put down a towel, so good luck weaving between smokers when your kids get out; the breakfast buffet is large but of poor quality (dozens of bowls of canned fruit cocktail and dehydrated scrambled eggs); the decor is beat-up, dark, and dingy; the promised work-out area was closed for construction; and the staff will promise anything but not follow through (ie, they said they'd call a car for the airport and never did, said that they'd make a dinner reservation and never did, etc.); the "pro" on the location is also its downside, a dingy area without the charm of areas such as Paris-Londres or Lastreria or the cleanliness of Bosques

It is very convenient to go to the downtown Santiago, but the room not worth the money.

I stayed here 6 nights and the staff was just excellent. Everything, I needed they helped with including providing me with an outlet converter, iron, taxi, wake up calls, tours. The locations was also very convinient. I highly recomend this hotel mainly because of the great service. Internet was slow one day but for the most part it was good.

I always enjoy this hotel, and the location couldn´t be better. However, although it was quite pleasant elsewhere in the hotel, in the restaurants, etc., despite my many requests they never managed to get the temperature in my room (911) below 23º. The weather outside was considerably cooler and pleasant, but the air conditioning never really cooled the room, which faced south (Moneda) I am returning to this hotel in January and very much hope they manage to give me a room with the air conditioning working, since it will be summer.

A lovely hotel, very helpful staff. A pleasant surprise was the basic breakfast provided at 5.00am-long before regular breakfast was available. For those leaving for early morning for the airport this was a welcome bonus.

Had decided to book this hotel after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and seen the hotel's website. This hotel has seen better days. The pros - great location not far from Plaza Armas and metro. Convenient and many shops and banks in the vicinity. The cons - the 2 tiny elevators for the 12 storied building (hotel floors go from 6 - 12) is really inadequate especially during the morning breakfast/checkout rush hours. The breakfast in uninspiring (if you like wet scrambled eggs and pumpkin bread drowned in sweet syrup) everyday. Hotel staff speak limited English.

Positive things: Good location, Metro station close to hotel, breakfast (buffet style) is good. Very friendly/helful staff! Negative things: poor internet connection.

Very convenient hotel for a few nights stay in Santiago. Located near everything (metro, shops, university). Free internet is definitely a plus. Highly recommended

a great central location in the heart of downtown. Room was more than adequate. a nicely decorated restaurant where we ate both nights (fabulous seafood). Would recommend this hotel very highly.

Overall good stay in a convenient location. They were very accommodating in changing us to a room with an expansive view after our initial request. The rooms are spacious, recently remodeled with large windows. Breakfast had lots of choices. The lobby is not welcoming and the elevators are small but adequate. Santiago has more contemporary hotels but this served our desire to walk everywhere in the historical area.

Downtown location is good for seeing the older parts of Santiago. Area is a bit deserted at night but taxis to good restaurant are easy to come by and not expensive. Food in the dining room is not great although service is attentive and friendly. Room was large and comfortable.

We arrived early because we had a night flight and were just told to go have breakfast (free) and our room would be ready in 15 minutes which it was. All the staff was most helpful.

I booked two rooms for one night total for our party. Upon check in, the front desk stated that our rooms would be ready in a few minutes. The employee gave us all drink coupons and told us to head up to the bar and have a complimentary welcome drink. Two of us had glasses of wine and two had pisco sours. Ten minutes later, the concierge brought our room keys to the bar and stated that our luggage had been delivered to our rooms. This check in was well done and made for an excellent welcome. The rooms are average size, comparable to any major USA hotel chain and were very clean. The complimentary breakfast was well done with eggs, sausage, meats, cheeses and plenty of fresh fruit. The in-room wireless internet was of average speed. The service by the concierge was excellent. Our bags were stored for us without problem and when we needed a taxi, the concierge had one for us in no time. If you are staying in downtown Santiago, I would recommend this property.

Great views of the Andes from the higher floors. The whole place is like an archaeological exhibit. The bar and restaurant feature items inspired by Chile´s early history, dishes you won´t find anywhere else. Staff is very helpful and obliging, arranging transportation and reservations for interesting restaurants and outings.

Embora não seja excelente, um bom hotel. Excelente é o café da manhã. O atendimento dos funcionários foi bastante irregular, alguns atenciosos, outros(as) nem um pouco. Cama e roupa de cama muito bons..

Hotel muito bom e firme mas muito no centro , dias de semana tem muito trânsito , p/ turismo é melhor ficar em regiões mais altas

O unico ponto negativo e o loby . Ao chegar se tem a impressao de estar chegando em um pessimo hotel. E muito feio, desarranjado. O atendimento e otimo. Pessoas conhecidas (2) nao ficaram no hotel pela primeira impressao do loby.

O café da manhã foi o mesmo todos os dias, não tendo nenhuma variação do cardápio.

Muito bem localizado e com funcionários simpáticos e prestativos.

Lo mejor de este hotel es la ubicación, pues está cerca de los principales lugares turísticos e históricos de Santiago. No es un sector para salir de noche, solo para conocer atracciones turísticas en el día. El hotel sin embargo está un poco desgastado y esto es evidente en el estado del mobiliario y la carpintería, aunque en términos generales se mantiene aseado. La calidad de la comida no es la mejor. No recomendaría el desayuno.

Buena relación del precio y los servicios brindados. Ofrecen un desayuno variado, y esta incluído en el costo de la habitación. La atención es muy cordial. las habitaciones cómodas.

O Hotel Galerias foi uma grata surpresa para mim e minha família em nossa visita a Santiago. Os funcionários demonstraram sempre cordialidade e eficiência no cumprimento de suas tarefas. Os quartos são amplos e confortáveis, com destaque para a cama e o chuveiro. As instalações são decoradas com bom gosto. A comida e a carta de vinhos do restaurante são muito boas. O café da manhã é excelente e incluso na diária. A localização do hotel é super estratégica para turistas. Dá para ir à pé a vários pontos turísticos e históricos de Santiago e fica próximo a duas estações de metrô. Por perto também tem vários cafés, restaurantes, fast food, supermercados, lojas de departamentos e farmácias. Excelente! Recomendo o hotel e com certeza me hospedarei nele em outras viagens a Santiago.

Dette er et av de mest behagelige hoteller vi har bodd på. Ikke luksus, men med en gjennomført service og et smil man ikke ser overalt. Vi kommer tilbake til dette hotellet ved neste besøk og anbefaler det på det varmeste til andre. Det ligger også helt sentralt i Santiago og har en ypperlig og rimelig restaurant. Svømmebassenget satt vi også pris på. For å si noe negativt: sengene var noe myke og klimaanlegget var noe støyende slik at vi ikke kunne ha det på om natten (dette gjaldt begge rommene vi hadde). Våre reisevenner syntes dog at både sengene og klimaanlegget sengene var OK.

atendimento normal, não tivemos problemas. Quartos e demais dependencias sempre limpos. Pessoal atencioso. Recomendo a amigos.

Hotel muito bom, atendimento excelente. Me hospedo lá há uns 4 anos. Localização central, privilegiada. Estava com pequenas carências de manutenção. Restaurante muito bom - defeito : oscila um pouco ( se você pedir hoje o mesmo que gostou ontem pode não vir igual ). Não deixe de provar os vinhos da casa ( Santa Cruz ).

Hotel muito bom e bem localizado. Fui muito bem atendido. Funcionários preparados e atenciosos. Café da manha bem completo, com frutas, paes e cereais. Unico detalhe negativo ficou por conta do secador de cabelo. Tive que desligar a cada minuto para esfriar... Achei um pouco caro tambem uma água mineral que tomei no frigobar. De um modo geral, fiquei muito satisfeito. Se voltar para Santiago, pretendo ficar neste hotel!

Localização muito conveniente, perto dos principais pontos de visitação da cidade. Instalações muito boas. Mas, o que mais me impressionou foi o excelente tratamento que obtivemos desde a chegada, em todas as áreas do hotel (recepção, quarto, restaurante, etc). Não só recomendo como ficarei novamente neste hotel da próxima vez que for a Santiago.

Hotel localizado bem no centro de Santiago. Facil acesso ao metro, transfers e possível ir caminhando ao Palacio da Moneda, Mercado Público, Teatro Municipal entre outras atrações no centro. O atendimento é muito cordial, principalmente na portaria o Victor que nos indicou os passeios e o guia local com van e motorista. Bom café da manhã.
