Since I booked my trip very late and wanted to stay around Moscone I booked this hotel at a very affordable price. The older reviews kind of go both ways, but I was happy with the room and the location. Moscone, Union Square, Market Street, Japan Town and the tram at Powell are all close by. Also plenty of cabs driving around if you want to go to Fisherman's Wharf, Nob Hill or The Golden Gate Bridge. The direct vicinity of the hotel gets a bit shady at night, so no big rating for the neighborhood. Hotel itself does not look like much, but the room was clean, everything worked fine (air, shower etc), flatscreen TV with Dish was nice, free Wifi was stable and relatively fast. Staff was very friendly too, even when I lost my roomkey in the middle of the night and had to get a new one. There's a vending machine downstairs, and lots of small stores around the block if you want drinks or a snack.

Some points... Parking lot smells like pee, too many homeless emptying themselves. Noisy rooms. Many nicer hotels in the area for similar price.

This place gave me bed bug-bites all over my body. Three out of four bath towels were severely stained. Also, the room shown when booking is not what you get. It looked totally different - and not in a good way. I know people often complain a lot in these reviews, but I'm not at all picky. I've stayed in much cheaper places and never got as disappointed as this time. This motel is definitely not worth the money.

Decent and close to lots love fridge wish there was on site laundry but there's laundry matt around block

Nice for the price

Located not too far off Market Street and access to buses, muni was great. This was not a four star hotel, but it suited us, as we would rather find a good deal on a comfortable room, than spend a lot on a room that we are hardly going to spend any time in. This was perfect. Suggest you invest in a sound machine, which we do for all our travels, to block out the street noise, you are in San Francisco.

uncertain to what it is

This was by far my favorite hotel to stay at for the PRIDE PARADE in San Francisco. It is a walkable distance to the civic center and where the parade finishes. The liqour store is right on the corner. All they need is to get refrigerators and microwaves for their rooms. The Hotel has an elevator for heavy luggage. VERy spacious. And large parking for vehicles. I loved staying here and i look forward to doing it again next year. The family is awesome.

For the cost and location, it's worth it. Sure, our room smelled like an ashtray, but we were hardly in the hotel. I got free parking and was walking distance to most of the events, as well as Bart. It was cheaper than any other hotels in the area, and conveniently located to nightlife, public transportation, and the weekend festivities. Plus, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Check-in was a pleasant experience because of the friendly people behind the desk. My room was clean and comfortable. Coffee supplies in the room were plentiful... that's rare. Big bathtub. I was in town to see my fav band at Slim's, and I chose the Rodeway because it is just a few blocks away. I will definitely stay there again next time I go see a show at Slim's!

It is what it is, not a bad room for the price if you just need a place to stay at night. Easy to find and they have FREE parking, which can save you some serious dough in San Francisco. I'd stay there again.

You get what you pay for. The rooms were fine and definitely worth the price for a hotel located within a ten minute walk to Union Square. The neighborhood wasn't the best but far from bad. There were a lot of homeless people but they are basically harmless. It is conviently located off the 80 and a short drive to the Golden Gate Bridge. We waalked from the hotel to North Beach in about an hour and never felt unsafe. Later that night we walked to AT&T Park in about 40 minutes and also felt safe the entire time. If you don't mind walking this place is fine. It had it's own parking lot under the hotel, a small store on one corner, and a cheap breakfast place on the other. My only complaint was the noise. Our room was located right on th street and I could here every car, bus, truck and motorcylce drive by. This may not bother some people but we live in the mountains where you can here the wind coming form a mile a way.

Das Hotel war günstig und die Zimmer sauber. Das Frühstück war "amerikanisch" - Kaffee und Süßes sowie Orangensaft. Das Hotel leigt zwar etwas ab vom Schuß, mit der Tram der Linie "F" ist man aber in gut 20 min an den Piers und von dort aus über all in der Stadt. Die Fahrt kostet rd. 2$ und die Haltestelle ist ca. 150m vom Hotel entfernt. Insgesamt waren wir mit dem Hotel zufrieden und können es weiterempfehlen.

plutot bien placé, pas trop cher pour SF, acceuil sympa, peut rendre des services mais lit inconfortable et petit dèj frugale!

Hôtel correct pour une nuit mais pas pour un séjour à San Francisco. Assez bien placé du downtown, avec lignes de bus à proximité. Environnement médiocre et chambres assez étroites. Bon accueil.

Très bon accueil, réceptionniste très serviable. L'hôtel est situé sur une avenue très bruyante, même la nuit. Quartier assez mal fréquenté. Salle de bain très bien, chambre assez petite avec 1 lit de 140cm de large. Le petit déjeuner consiste à prendre une viennoiserie et jus de fruit à l'accueil et faire son café dans la chambre (cafetière à disposition). Pas de réfrigérateur dans la chambre,
