there was a piece of bar soap on the curtein from the last people who were there

Knights Inn was rated with 3 stars. However; it is not a 3 star hotel. Upon checking in, the Manager was arguing with a customer due to toilet was backing up. The rooms were not acceptable. Beds low, mattress did not fit the bed. The room had a smell. And the area of the Hotel was awful. Please change the rating to the hotel because it was misleading. My mother was in the hospital diagnose with Cancer. We did not need this extra frustration in our visit to Dallas.

The front desk was very very nice, the room was actually very clean and nice. The only problem was a smell almost like a brand-new paint smell as if the room has been refurbished. But after a few seconds the smell went away in the room was nice. I would not recommend it if you have a family that is going to want to walk around. It is a rough neighborhood but no one bothered me at all. As a single business guy was just there to get sleep and have a relaxing atmosphere I will stay there again.

Great for $45 a night and great location for that price

This is by far the worst hotel I've ever booked! Where do I start?! The only half good thing about the hotel is how close it was to downtown Dallas. The room smelt like urine, the sheets were dirty, the towels were supposed to be white, but were brown stained. The shower had huge mildew stains, the toilet didn't flush properly. There was no iron or ironing board. It was the worst experience I've had at a hotel. Please pay an extra ten dollars a night at a much nicer hotel.

I really liked the hotel. I would suggest a coffee maker with coffee, tea, creamer & sugar packets, iron and microwave oven since there is nowhere on the property to eat. It is a very nice place and I would stay there again. I really loved the carpet and the bed was very comfortable. The price was very good and worth every penny.

pretty run down looking place in lots of people hangung around outside their rooms making noise and sexaul glances at my girl friend

This is a pretty basic hotel but my room was clean and it was ideal for an overnight stay before an early flight from Love Field.

Very nice newly re-furnished room. Very quiet room and helpful staff. GREAT location and rate can not be beat.

The only complaint I have is how the rooms smelled. Which ultimately smelled like an unclean room. It appears clean but the smell was awful! Bought air fresheners and still had an awful moldy smell.

This hotel was undergoing some renovation. My room, however, was clean and neat and next to the office so I would stay here again if I could be assured that I would get the same room or one like it.

but I was too tired after a long road trip to change. There is nothing around the hotel for miles, but you do get what you pay for.

very good TV programs, variety of Spanish channels .. very clean

We stayed In the motel after a medical procedure, and needed to go back the following day. It was an older motel but very quiet. We would defiantly stay there again.

I spent two nights in this hotel and honestly I didn't expect lot of things because it was low price.... The localization is good, near the highway and 15 min to downtown but its the only positiv point! The room was so dirty.... I found some hairs in the bathroom and the towels had a strange odor... During this two nights I didn't sleep well, young man were drinking front of my door and they screamed and I hearded this until 4.30am so moreover it's not safe notably for girls! To conclude I prefere spend 10$ more to have a better place!

I was really surprised by the hotel, at the price I paid I was not expecting that much but this was a steal!! The room was clean and comfortable... I would definitely recommend!!

Older hotel... Not much on amenities but well worth the price. Great location if you're going to American airlines center.

Older motel that has been maintained. Good rooms and good people just has an older feel.

The most disgusting place I have ever walked into. The location is very scary.

Checked in at 11 the first night. Try to take a shower at 11:30 and there's no hot water. Wasn't able to provide us a different room because everything is booked up. Manager wasn't present, and the night clerk has no say in anything... wasn't able to do anything in her power to make us more comfortable. I asked the night clerk to leave a note to the manager and call me at 10 in the morning. That never happened, nor did anyone follow up on the hot water issue. By noon of the second day, they finally switch us to another room, but still there was no hot water for shower. This put my schedule behind for 3 hours since I was suppose to attend an event at 11. Also the first room had hair and nails in the sheets. Surrounding neighborhood is decent and quiet, I find this a safe neighborhood to stay in. Traffic to this place from downtown is decent, it was easy to find. You find IHOP, McD's, Sonics, etc... within half a mile.

We only needed a place to overnight so it was OK. Room was clean, walls were clean, including bathroom, which in budget places like this is often showing mold and stains. The only thing is that the hotel is just off one of the main streets, but coming through an area of car wreckers, etc. and the hotel is downhill from the road, so it does look shady. However, being Dallas, I didn't think this looked riskier or safer than any other fancier locations nearby. And yes it did look like there were some negotiable affections going on.

Wasnt alot to it, but you get what you pay for. The room I had was nice and the people their were nice. The only thing that was missing that i wish i had was a coffee pot so i didnt have to walk down to the office for coffee and wish the shower had a little more water pressure.. Access to I-35 is great. The motel sits just a short ways off from I-35 so it didnt have the noise and traffic of the interstate but is quick and easy to get to and to get to the interstate. If you need a place to crash for an evening to rest for a bit, this isnt a bad place to stay.

This is an older complex. Understand for the price , do not expect the Ritz Carlton. Almost zero amenities, and everything is old. However, decent area around the hotel, very convenient to highways and to downtown Dallas. Also understand, with this price range, you get a certain kind of hotel guest that may not be acceptable to you. However, if you want a decent room, conveniently located at a very good price, in decent condition, this will work for you.

You get what you pay for here...but what you get is a great value for the dollar. The man and woman who run the hotel are wonderful and kind and helpful. The morning housekeeping staff can be a bit annoying - knocking on the door at 11a sharp, basically demanding to know when you are gonna leave cuz it is check out time...a behavior that might be acceptable IF the hotel was at full capacity...but it aint. Just push back, and spend the extra time for convo with the owners/managers. They are very pleasant people and want to ensure their pricing is competitive to other hotels and online pricing. My room was recently painted, wiresless is fine, plenty of parking. Great value, if a bit north of downtown.

WiFi connection was horrible. Was decent. Very clean. Desk clerks were nice and helpful.

Dirty dirty and run down.

I was satisfied with this hotel for the budget price. My room was small and a bit dingy, with no bar fridge, and it had quite a bad smell. However it was clean and made up well every day. To get to the Convention Centre (down town) on public transport I had to catch a bus to the train station and then a train connection, which made for a 40 minute trip, which wasn't very convenient. But the bus stop was right outside the hotel. "Breakfast" consisted of a choice of coffee or "juice". The staff were friendly and helpful, and for the price I could put up with the shortcomings.

Even the non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. You get what you paid for. Quick and easy night stay - leave as soon as possible.

I stayed at this hotel one night because the place where I usually stay was booked due to a convention. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was clean and the hotel staff was accomodating. My only issue was the bathtub was in a horrible state and in need of replacement. I did not notice it until it was very late, so I did not call the management. I would stay at this hotel again but I would make sure I check the bathroom.

For a bargain price, this was a clean and comfortable room, not a luxury but one of the cleanest for the price. Polite service.

Great value if you need a clean and quiet place to sleep. If you have mobility problems be sure to request a ground floor room as there are only stairs to the second floor. Staff is friendly and responsive.

Not good. Room smelled. There was a dirty wash cloth on shower rod. Hotel was not professionally painted or cared for by whomever owns it. Base boards missing, paint everywhere. Not worth the cheap price

Good price for a clean no-frills motel. But could have gotten cheaper price by calling the hotel directly.

other than a man shouting profanities outside around midnight (which lasted thankfully no more than 15min or so), the stay itself was uneventful. accommodations were acceptable and room was clean. check out and check in were both easy and fast, hotel is located right near freeway which was convenient.
