VERY ENJOYABLE

The only complaint we had was that the front desk had to keep remaking our key cards - they weren't working in the rear door of the hotel near the parking lot and once or twice they stopped working on our room lock. Other than that have only good things to say about the hotel. Clean, good breakfast (fresh fruit salad which is a plus!) and nicely maintained with fresh fruit. It was a 10 minute ride to the battlefield and town. Great Italian restaurant located down the road - La Bella Italia. Had a terrific Saturday night meal there. Highly recommend both!!

The room itself was very impressive. Modern design, clean, and well-maintained. The indoor pool is tiny but well-kept. Travel time to historic Gettysburg attractions are all less than 10 minutes. Very satisfied!!!

The hotel was clean and in a great area of town. Right across the street from a few restaurant and a quickie mart.

The room was excellent but I think you need to offer a shuttle to downtown Gettysburg especially as there are no taxi options. Also, you should consider a backup generator. I think all of Gettysburg lost power on the 19th of April. Personally I didn't have a problem but many others were complaining. Just a couple thoughts, I enjoyed myself anyway. Your breakfast was great and all your employees did a wonderful job. Thanks

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The suite was comfortable and clean. The pool was warm.

everything was good but when i rented the room over the phone the women ased if we preferred 1st floor and i said yes because of our heath. When we checked in they had no record of that. so why ask if you do not have it available. I just think who came first got our room. I stayed at the hampton in cooperstown and thought the breakfast was better because they gave you bacon or sausage

We had a very comfortable, clean room. Very spacious, with a moveable work desk, large closet, wet bar, fridge, etc. Only complaints are: lots of truck noise on Rt. 30 (right out front) all night long, weak Internet signal including at the lobby computer, odd layout with no parking in "front" of hotel. You can drive to the heart of Gettysburg in 10 minutes or less. There is a Wal-Mart next door as well as other stores and restaurants.

It was only about a mile to Gettysburg College, but it seemed like a long walk. The drive into Gettysburg was easy.

Nice hotel great breakfast included, clean room.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The room set up was aesthetically appealing. I loved that the sheets and bed covers were white and ultra comfortable, but the breakfast was not so much. Although it was a full breakfast, the eggs were way overdone and tasted like they came from a powdered mix (yuck). I am a vegetarian, and not that big on sweets so the sausage, waffles and other pasteries didn't appeal to me. I did like that there were a lot of condiments for the oatmeal, which was overly thick and sticky. I also liked that there was a lot of fresh fruit and a fresh fruit salad as well as yoghurt.

Very nice hotel! The breakfast room could have been larger to accomodate everyone that wanted seating. We were a little put out by the daily rate since we were just passing thru, but we do realize that this is a vacation destination for most people. We only wish that the hotel we stayed in in Bethesda, MA the next night had been as nice.(diffrent hotel chain)

HAMPTON INN HAS THE MOST COMFORTABLE BEDS IN THE WORLD! I HAVE TRAVELED ALL OVER THE WORLD ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AND LET ME TELL YOU...I HAVE NEVER HAD BETTER ACCOMODATIONS ANYWHERE! THE ROOMS ARE EXTREMELY CLEAN AND STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. They were very accomadating and even checked us in early.

Great location, but were disappointed in the room. The air conditioner was so loud that we had difficulty sleeping. We reported this, but nothing was done. The hotel was full so we could not change rooms. There was black gunk (mold?) in the hot tub. Again, we reported this and nothing was done. Finally, we found a man's briefs, t-shirt, socks and deodorant in the drawer of the bedside table! That was the last straw! The Hampton has a 100% satisfaction guarantee so they agreed to refund one night's stay.

Only a one night stay to visit with California & Colorado friends who were staying at a local RV campground. Room was ready when we arrived and comfortably COOL for our July visit to Gettysburg. Very pleasant stay and very comfortable. Great breakfast setup for checkout next morning. Room rate was kind of expensive for our budget - so just a one nite stay.

wonderful staff...beautiful suite....we were very pleased and satisfied...will definetely be back!!

If the hotel has 30 rooms empty at 3 pm it will not drop the price because it knows that it will fill at least 20. Stay at a hotel of the same quality 30 miles away and save $35. This is true of all hotels in Gettysburgh. Do stop in the town though and do the tour of the the most important and deciding battle site of the Civil War. Rent the CD Tour Disk. It will give you a guided audio tour of the battle. The most moving National Park reenactment we had been to was the General Custer, Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull battle at Little Big Horn in Montanna. This site has so much compressed into three days in a battle that started out as a small skirmish.

My only complaint: the breakfast area very noisy, no carpet.

For an inexpensive hotel, the service was excellent. A very positive experience for our family.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Hampton Inn, Gettysburg. Room was very clean, staff were excellent, and the breakfast was adequate. My only negative comment would be the lack of a refrigerator in the room. I believe the website indicated that this was included, but we did not have one. Since we were only staying one night, we did not pursue this issue.

Rooms are in very poor condition (wallpaper peeling, chopped, cracked furniture, unpleasant decor). Pool and hot tub totally filthy---didn't look like they had been cleaned in decades. I couldn't even think of enjoying the swim I had planned. Manager was really unpleasant. The elevator broke and they sent two (very, very nice) cleaning women to try to fix it!! Very expensive for the quality! There are other hotels much closer to downtown Gettysburg that I will try next time...this place was a big disappointment!

We decided to spend a second night at the hotel, and the front desk was most helpful; not only in getting the change in booking, but moving us to a room more to our liking, i.e. two queen sized beds instead of 2 doubles. The most kudos must go to the housekeeper who cleaned our room first so we could move our luggage into the room without have it either in our personal vehicle all day or in the motel office, (and despite their comments, would have been in the way in the office).

Good hotel....very comfortable bed. Furnishings and ethestics dated. Jacuzzi tub could've been cleaned more thoroughly which led me to question the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel. Breakfast ok. All hotel staff very friendly and helpful.

It was ok. The price was right. The room wasn't very comfortable. Hampton inns are normaly much better

Everything was fine until the hotel requested my CC in case of incurred charges. When I checked out with no charges I discovered that they had actually put a hold on my account and three days later it is still there. On top of that, there was mold behind the wall paper by the window in our room with moisture on the inside of the window building up and the shower curtain would not stay closed while we showered. Needless to say we had our own little bath on the floor after my children took their showers. I will not be staying with them again.

Was awesome! Had a jaccuzzi and afirplace!!!awesome!!except thevtraffic was very loud at the sheets across the street from us.

The hotel was typical Hampton quality-very good with the only exception being the morning breakfast, which is usually good. I try to stay at Hampton Inn's because of the hotel quality AND because of the hot breakfast. I won't let a one time flaw discourage me from staying at Hampton Inn's in the future.

Very nice location for our trip - very good stay & hot breakfast. I would recommend this hotel
