Hotel Diplomatic - تورينو

About 15 minutes'walk to the historic centre and 5 minutes to the 1 of 2 main train stations. Initially given a poorly maintained room with bits of window surround coming away from wall and oh 3 Italian-only TV stations. Complaint dealt with half-heartedly. Transferred to a single room with all TV channels but very tiny. Free wifi on request. Breakfast OK but difficult to find clean table, hotel used by big groups not enough staff on duty; scrambled eggs cold and dry. But good choice of food otherwise. Not a place to linger.

I chose this hotel for its location, close to the rail staion Porto Suza which is presently being renovated. But the Tgv express trains stop there on the way to Milan, also airport buses stop around the corner. Its in a decent part of Turin and the focus would be business travelers. The rooms were a good size for Europe and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel staff spoke good english and were helpful,

Very nice staff, good location, good soundproofing, ridiculous waiting time for the slowest elevators of the nation, but the real and only issue was that the industrial cleaner used in vast quantities stank of artificial peach scent. I am not particularly sensitive to smells but this was literally overpowering that i asked to change rooms and left the window permanently opened to make it manageable. I expect the management will take note of this after I voiced my complaint to them directly so that this should change...

Only few words: clean, safe, friendly staff, good breakfast, very good location ( only 3 minutes walking from Porta Susa Train Station).

What more could one ask? Upon arrival, the people at the reception desk were pleasant and efficient. Our room was very clean, comfortably furnished, and quiet. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and bathrooms both of a good size. Breakfast was something I'd probably give a miss but there is a great little coffee bar two doors up. Parking was s hassle as it was a bit far away but a good cheap price. We'd stay here again.

Stuff very kind Hotel very nice Breakfast good

Mostly OK stay here, Reception staff were 50/50... the males were rude, the females were lovely.

Location was excellent being both close to the metro and to the Station. A good complmentary breakfast was included as was free internet.

We had a great stay at Hotel Diplomatic, the room was fantastic, location is seconds from Torino Porta Susa Train Station and 15mins straight walk to Via Roma. Hotel also catered for our parents who phoned from the UK to order a bottle of wine for our room as a Birthday surprise. Breakfast supplied had a good selection. Highly Recommended

The hotel is conveniently located a short distance away from the train station and a 10 minute walk from the main tourist attractions. The hotel staff were friendly and helped direct us to a suitable parking location (even admitting the cost in their hotel was high) and to the main areas of interest. The single rooms are classic Italian, very much cramped and stuck for space but the price makes you overlook this. The only negative about the hotel was the breakfast which had a poor selection and quality / freshness of the food on offer was a little suspect.

The staff was very helpful particually when we needed to have a part on our car fixed; they arranged a fast track service with a local garage. The Hotel is in a great central location with easy walking distance to shops, museums and restaurants. Enjoyed our stay. Certainly stay again.

Very dated hotel.

When I go back to Torino I will try and stay at the Diplomatic. The rooms were a good size for European rooms and the staff was outstanding. The restaurant was very good and the breakfast buffet was great. Its in a good location walking distance (along walk) to all the sites in Torino.

The hotel has an excelent location, just in front of Porta Sussa train station where you can take the bus or tram to get to city center.

I thought this hotel was fine. It was very quiet (interior doors, which I love), and I had a room with an interior window. It's not right in the historic center, but pretty close--an easy walk. The breakfast was good. The room was a bit small, but free internet. Not bad, all in all.

Great location, very helpful staff. Clean room with all amenities but i thought I did detect the smell of smoke plus there was an ashtray, which was a little annoying as a non-smoker. The only other drawback was the window shutters were closed so no view. (Maybe I could have opened them but all the shutters seemed to be closed at 4:30pm) Fantastic breakfast with really good coffee and such a variety of food. Nice lounge area with complimentary newspapers. Very prompt, smiley service. Really helpful and informative. Good value for money

The hotel was just blocks from the city center and was a good choice.

An overall decent experience. Clean rooms, good breakfast, convenient location. Staff was efficient, not friendly but this may reflect the general attitude of the people in this region.

The manager at the reception was extremely impolite. We were given a smoking room though we booked a non-smoking. The breakfast is in the basement with no kitchen. All food is from a supermarket

Hotel un peu old school annése 80. Rien à redire sur l'ensemble. Très bien situé, pas de mauvaise surprise à part une taxe de séjour à payer en plus. Chambre très vaste et propre. Une ventilation qui règle la température de la chambre qui fait un peu de bruit et qu'on ne peut arrêter.

Bon rapport qualité / prix avec petit-déjeuner buffet correct. Chambre propre. SDB avec douche. Nous avions une chambre calme puisqu'elle donnait sur une cour intérieure mais il y avait des bruits indéterminés qui provenaient soit de la chambre située au-dessus de la nôtre; soit du bâtiment lui-même.Parfait donc pour qui ne veut pas trop dépenser et n'est pas sensible au bruit. Par contre le centre-ville reste à 20 bonnes minutes à pied du centre historique.

Bisognerebbe intervenire sulla ristrutturazione delle camere che sono rimaste agli anni 80. Buona colazione, cena ottima. Personale molto qualificato. Rivedrei i prezzi in attesa che i locali vengano ristrutturati.

Boa localização no centro velho de Turim, esta passando por reformas, com quartos ja bem modernizados. Dificuldades para acessibilidade de deficiente fisico. possuem pequeno estacionamento para carro, porem com custo muito alto. Bom cafe da manhã e bom atendimento. Custo beneficio muito bom

La struttura è un po' vecchiotta, ma la camera era abbastanza ampia. BUona la pulizia e ottima la colazione. Posizione ideale per la visita della città!

Camera economica ma non solo per il letto alla francese. Camera molto vecchia televisore 15 pollici a tubo catodico e non lcd rumori provenienti dalla strada. Se vi assegnano una stanza al primo piano andate via e cercate un qualsiasi 2 stelle. Unico punto favorevole la colazione.

veramente un ottimo hotel, dotato di tutti i comfort, in una bellissima posizione e con accanto la metropolitana utile per spostarsi in citta'. da sottolineare l'eccellente colazione e l'ottimo servizio di pulizia delle camere. assolutamente da riprenotare

Molto vicino alla stazione di Porta Susa e alla fermata della Metro, molto vicino al quadrilatero romano e a via garibaldi! servizio impeccabile.

accueil très agréable, équipe disponible, chambre propre et confortable.

El hotel está muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad, a 10 min. a pie de piazza castello y al lado de la estación de Porta Sussa, donde se coge el autobús que lleva/viene del aeropuerto. El personal de recepción muy bien, dispuestos a ayudarte en lo que necesites. El edificio es antiguo pero estás recientemente reformado y la limpieza también está bien. El único problema que puedo ponerle es que en nuestra habitación la ducha era muy pequeña y el agua salía con muy poca presión. El desayuno sin ser nada excepcional no está mal, compuesto de fruta, cereales, dulce y salado. Si volviera a Turín creo que repetiría (por el mismo precio, claro)
