Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Downtown River North - شيكاغو

This was a great stay. I traveled with a lady in a wheelchair, and the staff were very accomodating and polite. My only complaint was the valet service. I called in the allotted time to have our car brought up, and it would still not be ready. The valets were inattentive and would not always help me with the wheelchair, but most of the staff were great.

I enjoyed every aspect of my stay except that the hotel was in the middle of Chicago's nightlife, and that was a preference thing. We were there on a weekend, and both Friday and Saturday night were noisy on the street, with people in various states of drunkness hopping form bar to bar. If you like the nightlife, then there are no drawbacks to this hotel because the location, service, staff, are all excellent. I would stay again and again. It's close to the subway, just 2 blocks from Michigan Avenue, and has all the amenities you'd expect. Great experience.

Good spacious rooms, great loaction between Michigan Ave and State Street just North of theriver. Clean and comfortable rooms, breakfast ok. Nice staff helpful Entrance area not the best but not an issue for us.

My sister and brother in law stayed at a hotel down the road and after seeing our room they said they wished they would have stayed at our hotel. The staff was nice and awesome. Once I told them it was a trip for my boyfriends birthday they gave us coupons and free passes to nearby attractions. The only issue I had was when we went to the restaurant attached to the hotel. They forgot to make my food but they rectified the situation by giving the meal to me free and compliment beverages and snacks. Overall it was a good exPerience

Very noisy during night. It maybe the insulation is not good enough, however the city noise is terrible.

Four of us girls were greeted by the friendliest and funniest woman behind the registration desk. Our room was great. Price was great. Two blocks off Michigan Ave, right by the river. Howl at the Moon and several great restaurants right there! Would definitely stay here again.

I think the bed needed replacing, otherwise no complaints. However, when I stayed there a few years ago, the parking was contiguous to the hotel, now it is a block away and not particularly convenient for moving your suitcase.

The room was nice for a short stay. I the pillows were so soft and comfortable. the room smelled kind of musty but the hotel staff was very friendly and the laocation of the hotel was great!

The location is the best part of the hotel, but it is also the most problematic part. Parking is excessively expensive and the view from the room I had was directly into another window. It is easy to walk to downtown, and that is nice.

This was a GREAT location, within walking distance to everything you could possibly want to do in Chicago. However, the walls and windows are literally "paper thin", and absolutely NOT SOUNDPROOF AT ALL. We could hear EVERYTHING. We could hear people talking on the sidewalk outside, and WE WERE ON THE 12th floor! We heard our neighbors flush the toilet and their conversations. We heard people walking down the hallway. And worst of all we heard the Aid Car and Fire truck sirens EVERY 5 minutes, as there is a fire station or hospital within blocks of this location. Soooo, long story short: this is the LEAST QUIET hotel I've EVER stayed in... and I've been to NYC, Scottsdale, LA, Miami, San Diego, Portland, Vancouver BC, Vegas, Dallas, Mexico, Hawaii, Greece, France, SLC, Seattle, Baltimore... etc. Dont stay here!!

Very sizable room. The cleanness was below spectation

If i ever go back to Chicago I will def stay here again. The service was outstanding. The rooms were nice and clean! Most of all the location was amazing...we were litterally in the middle of everything! The nightlife was the best! The sights within walking distance were exactly what we wanted out of our short visit to chicago. The only downfall is parking! and the cost of parking is outrageous-$40 day! not worth the car rental-just cab it!

This hotel is perfectly accessible to multiple areas and I found the employees to be extremely pleasant and helpful. This was very noticeable by all in our group.

I did not realize that by booking through this website instead of Marriott that I don't get Marriott points. That was the reason I picked this hotel. Also got view of brick wall from room. If I had booked direct with Marriott my point status would have got me perks including a view of something other than brick wall. Called ahead for car from valet, told 10 minutes but took 25 minutes.

Great location, nice, comfortable, clean room....but all of us commented on how fine the staff was too!

I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were very comfortable with lots for pillow and towels. The workout room was awesome and had a beautiful pool with outdoor deck, that in warmer months would have been great to sit out on and enjoy the sun. The service was awesome. We called to inquire if a microwave was available for use and they brought one to our room!!!!! They printed out easy to follow directions to anywhere we wanted to go. A great value and fun location.

We had a fabulous stay in Chicago. The hotel was close to everything that we wanted to see and do.. The staff was awsome and the hotel was nice and clean. Walking distance to everything.. Would stay again without a thought... Thank you Marriott for making a special weekend very pleasent.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriot River North for 2 days in October and found the location to be adequate (walking distance to Mag Mile, Gold Coast and the river). I was NOT at all satisfied with the condition of the hotel (most of the finishes and areas looked worn and dated) and was MOST displeased with the almost constant noise. The hotel must be near a fire station or on a main ambulance route, because there were reoccurring sirens both nights and the older windows didn't seem to keep any of the noise out. We are used to staying in urban settings and I wasn't expecting complete silence, but I would NOT recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a good night sleep or a quality hotel stay. Pay the extra money (probably only $20-30 per night and stay at a 4 star hotel). I do not know how this hotel got so many positive reviews, but I would caution that there are certainly better option in Chicago.

Love this hotel. We've stayed here many times and will stay here again. I do wish they would put full length mirrors in the rooms. Other than that small item, this is the perfect spot as it is walking distance to everthing and the staff provides such awesome Midwestern hospitality.

We reserver a king room for a 3 night stay and had to leave 1 day early. There was no problem with the cancellation. The room was very clean and the faciilites were excellent. We found the staff extremely helpful and courteous. The health club is top notch and there is a sun deck on the 6th floor where we had coffee and read the paper. The only drawback was there is a higher noise level due to fire engines and ambulances in the area. We were on the 6th floor, and noise carries easily to that level.

We had a lovely experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown River North. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our children loved the pool and we loved the breakfast that was served in the lobby restaurant - it was perfect for the kids and we loved it too! A very pleasant surprise!

We stayed here for 3 days in April for my kids spring break. We absolutely loved it. I have stayed in Chicago many times and this hotel was so perfect for a family trip. It is very close to many great restaurants and bars. Cabs to most places downtown are under $10, the fare to the Museum of Science and Industry was more like $15-$20, still much less than paying parking prices everywhere. The front desk and valet staff were very kind and our housekeeping gal was a sweetheart. There is a Starbucks right there and a other great restaurants on every corner. The pool and gym were very nice. I am impressed with the size of the rooms for a downtown hotel, top notch for a great price. The only downfall is the price of parking, but you get that anywhere you go.

Excellent beds. Clean rooms. I reserved a room with 2 double beds and was surprised there was also a hideaway and an extra T.V. Only complaint is that the refrigerator did not work and the closet light was burned out.

A colleague and I stayed here while attending a 2-day computer training workshop. The hotel overall and our guest room were in great shape: clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The front desk clerk who assisted us was not very knowledgeable of fine dining restaurants in the surrounding neighborhood; perhaps one of the other staff would have been more helpful in this regard. We chose to stay at this hotel because of its downtown location and its very reasonable nightly rate (considerably less than neighboring hotels). We were delighted with our decision and would definitely return.

Great place to stay, very cozy and quiet. Located within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Very clean and reasonable priced.

The rooms were exceptionally clean. Beds extremely comfortable. The front desk - wonderful. everyone was nice and friendly and helpful. would highly recommend! close to all the city nightlife. perfect perfect!!!

This hotel was very nice, but if you're on a business trip and will need constant access to the Internet or will need to log-in through a VPN, I would look elsewhere. I was attending a research seminar and could not connect the entire length of my trip. I missed out on several important emails and documents because I could not access anything. Their technical staff attempted to solve the issue, but nothing was resolved. I was not the only person experiencing this issue, either. If you're just going for vacation, it's a great place in the perfect location.

The hotel is in a great location, close to Michigan Ave. and plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Only issue was the rate charged for valet parking, $48/day.

Marriott Courtyard Chicago Hubbard St. A well-located great quality hotel for anyone wanting to discover Chicago without a car. We arrived much earlier than normal Check-in Time and were allowed to go immediately in the room, we were given complimentary coupons for nearby restaurants and attractions, end every one was polite
