Costa Rica Marriott Hotel San Jose - سان أنتونيو دي بيلين

Nice spot close to the SJO airport. Great if you need to spend a night in transit to our from your destination. Nice bed and a room with a view of the pool and mountains. Had a drink and sacks at the bar. Menu was a bit limited but decent enough.

We stayed at the Marriott for two nights - one upon arriving in Costa Rica, and the second, on our way out. The kids loved having a nice pool, my husband and I liked the fitness center, and we all enjoyed the great breakfast buffet. It is in the middle of an industrial neighborhood, but the hotel is large enough, and self-contained it does not matter.

it is a beautiful facility with very personable employees. try the tapas and wine restaurant!!

The hotel is very convenient to the airport, and has lots of great facilities. The restaurants are good and the service is good. However, there was no turn-down service at night in our rooms and overall, it was a big, impersonal place. It's beautifully maintained, clean, but a bit cold and corporate. I was glad to be there for the convenience of the location, but it could have been anywhere in the world. Probably the proximity to Intel drives a lot of the atmosphere as, for instance, there are frequent shuttles to and from Intel's operations nearby.

Great location with sweeping views of the mountains..In close proximity to all the attractions San Jose has to offer.

The hotel was surprisingly good. Excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed and lots of pillows. Swimming pool ok. Lovely gardens. Food in cafe very good for type of hotel. Very good buffet. Excellent bar upstairs, again with lovely staff. The executive option to my mind is simply not worth it with a dreary room. Don't bother. I was staying by myself and I was looked after excellently and I was very happy.

VERY close to the airport - still no shuttle. Our rate included breakfast - however we had to leave before they started serving breakfast. No option of getting something to take with us. After staying at several Marriotts across the Globe this one felt a little bit off. Not the same service or quality as you might be used to.

Excellent hotel. Hotel service excellent; restaurant service a little less so.

We stayed at this Marriott for our final night in Costa Rica before flying back to the US. I chose this property becuase of it's close proximity to the airport and because the pictures looked nicer than other hotel choices. The property is very attractive.. especially the central spanish villa style open air courtyard. Our room was clean, modern, and had a nice view of the pool area with a small walk out balcony. Beds were comfortable, good shower, and quality toiletries were provided. Pool area was very nice, however there were no chairs available to sit, and the water was a little too cool for us to swim (although the hot tub was nice and hot). The buffet dinner was ok but overpriced. We booked a room that included access to an Executive Lounge which gave us unlimited access to drinks (soft and hard), snacks, wifi, a computer with printer, and a nice breakfast. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful... and the hotel concierge was very helpful with directions and taking care of some last minute airline issues. Overall, we enjoyed our brief stay here, and would stay here again.

Excellent all around worth going there just to enjoy the hotel.

Marriott does it again with the kind of quality that is comforting and very family friendly. Great pools again, this time with upper level infinity pool cascading down a level to the kids pool. comfortable beds, great showers. just the kind of pampering we needed before heading back to states after a 12 day surf, swim & snorkol trip

I recommend paying the extra few bucks for the "stay for breakfast" option. Marriott breakfast was the best one we had from 3 hotels during or 7 night stay in the country. The fresh fruit was wonderful- the room was very comfortable. For some reason the pluming in CR was quite terrible, 2/3 hotels we stayed at wouldn't flush and you had to wait about 10 min. in between flushes- that was our only complaint about the Marriott!

Great hotel, next to several great sights in Costa Rica. The hotel employees were very polite and helpful with everything I needed. The room opened up to a great view of the pool. By far the nicest hotel i stayed at while in Costa Rica.

In sum, lots of noise from upstairs and construction (as of March 2011), lousy bathrooms and disappointing pool area, but great buffet (Antigua restaurant) and very close to airport. As someone else noted, tiled hallways make for lot of noise which is exacerbated by the hotel construction, and constant thumping/footsteps from upstairs at night and first thing in the morning. The pool wasn't nearly as grand as we expected from the pictures, and full of creepy old men smoking cigars, and not exactly clean. Learn from my terrible experience and stay elsewhere - our experience at the Intercontinental club tower was FAR better. Not sure why in the world this hotel has such high ratings.

These was a lot of scaffolding around on both sides of the hotel. It didn't affect our rooms at all (we stayed at the beginning and end of the trip) but some people had the rooms with scaffolding in front. The renovation was for a new roof, so periodically a lot of old tiles went down the dump shoots causing some noise for the garden weddings. But in spite of this, the property is totally gorgeous and convenient to the airport, and we'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Also liked the food in the restaurant. Didn't do breakfast, but bought yogurt from the cafe (coffee in rooms).

I thought this was great hotel and close to the airport. I would suggest taking a taxi to the hotel because although it is close, it is difficult to find.

We were pleasantly surprised by the rustic elegance of the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel in San Jose. It was a beautiful Spanish villa with a phenomenal open air courtyard in the center of the hotel. The appetizers were very good, although I do not recommend the hamburger. Room service was a little slow and required to called to bring us a bucket of ice. There is a very quaint coffee & gift shop. The only thing that would make this hotel better is if they offered a free airport shuttle.

Very nice, clean anc comfortly located near the airport hotel. Very friendly staff. Food and bar are overpriced relative to the area. Over quality is well within expectations.

For a stopover before or after a flight to SJ Int´l Airport, the location can´t be beat. Restaurant food is nothing to write home about. Hotel info is dated and wrong, for example, directions to fitness center. Fitness center, btw, is superb. We arrived with plenty of laundry to do but sink stopper was broken. After waiting 1 hour but without completion of the repair, we requested and were given another room. There, the TV didn´t work, probably because of poor cable, not the hotel´s fault. The luxury bed is too soft and a down comforter is absurd in the tropics, unless you´re going for the photo'op. All in all, it´s got its pluses and minuses. Weigh them for yourself.

Lovely grounds and pools but a very expensive hotel. Mediocre food with again, very expensive prices.

Overall this is a very nice hotel. It's very beautiful. The rich woods and iron used throughout the building are very pleasant to look at. It's surrounded by beautiful coffee plants and other lush vegetation. Beware of all the little things though. This place will nickel and dime you if you aren't careful. Make sure to get breakfast included in the price of your room, otherwise expect to pay about $25.00 USD per person. Try to eat at other local non hotel establishments because they mark up their food prices here. Also the wifi isn't free. They expect you to make a food purchase in order to get it. Sometimes you'll get a nice server you can ask for the code from in the restaurants. Don't have your clothes washed because they charge an arm and a leg. Internet access in the rooms is $14.95 a day which is more expensive than other hotels that don't include it free usually charge. The gift shop is overpriced. You can get the same things down the road for way cheaper. Overall again this is a nice place. I would recommend to just stay here to sleep. You can save a lot of money on food and other things by venturing out a few blocks to local establishments.

Jättebra hotell nära flygplatsen. Saknade fri transport till flygplatsen men hotellet hade ett bra samarbete med ett taxibolag som alltid hade bilar på hotellet. Vi anlitade dom för transport in till San Jose och vi kunde ringa när vi ville bli hämtade. Vi anlitade dem även till flygplatsen vilket tog ca 10 minuter. Priserna för transporterna var helt ok. Kommer vi tillbals kommer vi att åter anlita hotellet.

Et utrolig komfertabelt hotell, og av alle hotell jeg har bodd på i verden, har Marriot desidert de beste sengene.

En la refrigeradora debieran de tener botellas de licor de un trago, tienen solamente botellas grandes que son 6 o 8 tragos.

Hice la reservacion por este medio y reserve con cama queen cuando llegamos eran dos camas normales y no me quisieron cambiar de habitacion, por lo que tuve que dormir co mi esposo en camas separadas, pagar para dormr bien y no recibir el servicio que desilucion.

Es un hotel espléndido en una ciudad que por su desarrollo urbanístico, dificulta la movilidad y accesibilidad a las zonas de negocio e institucionales. La localización es un poco aislada de todo, sin embargo su cercanía con el aeropuerto es u punto a favor, dado que los demás hoteles tienen el mismo problema, una ciudad dispersa.

Fantastisk flott hotell. Det eneste som trakk ned - var alle arbeiderene som bråkte om morgenen, da hele hotellet var under utvendig renovering! Nydelig god søndags lunsj - bør absolutt nytes!
