Stay was enjoyable,friendly staff,good service,got a complementary bottle of wine for our anniversary .u need a car 4 that location,transport is hard ,takes long in getting .

We were not informed of anything upon arrival. The day we were leaving we found out that there was a gym next door we could have used. The meal was outrageously priced. When we booked we were told there were restaurants close by but we could not find any. There were no extra towels for the pool, they would say in about an hour but three hours later there were still no towels. Overall we would not book again.

The hotel lobby is the only thing worth visiting. The rooms need cleaning and remodeling. As far as customer service, there is none. We check in and check out three hous later just giving up our money. We wind up staying somewhere else. They need to send their employees to some kind of training that will teach them how to serve people.

My friends and I made the most of our stay at the hotel. The pool definitely needed to have some leaves or other small floating stuff removed. The service was always polite (they will call a cab for you when asked) but the quality was lacking (got 3 quotes for a local call from the room). They are really accommodating food wise for example. The waves are a bit rough on this side of the isle (Black Rock) but nice nonetheless. The location is a bit far from downtown Scarborough and other places. Rooms were nice and tidy. Remote for the TV was not working in our room and the remote for the AC was not working in our friends room. But i'm sure these could have been replaced if asked. We just interchanged them when needed. The flip option of the AC in one of the room was not working prompting the cold air to always come down directly on one of the bed. Overall the stay was nice, location is not a must and front desk agents should be more consistent with the information provided.

No Wifi in room, no complimentary breakfasts. This is standard in most hotels now. Rooms small but well kept. short walk to nice quiet and safe beach. food available on beach

It is the people that makes the place. The beach was not private at grafton. But was able to take a Local taxi for 20 TT dollars to pigeon point beach...and was able to go on the glass bottom boat at pigeon point($90 TT dollars).

The room location anf view was beautiful. However: (1)the receptionest wanted to re-charge my CC. (2) The electronic key system was not working.(3) The children pool was lock all day.(4) There was an emptyness at the Resort like its was going out of business..

The GBR is a gem of a hotel hitting value-for-money just right. It's a short drive from the airport and Scarborough with a taxi fare costing about TT70-80. Like many hotels here, it is getting a little dated in appearance but has nice sized rooms with ocean view balconies, split air con units and ensuite bathrooms. We had good wifi in our room and in communal areas. The main restaurant serves local cuisine in a buffet style to cater for all inclusive guests. It also has a beach bar serving good fast food and great rum punches! The resort faces the Atlantic so be prepared for some impressive waves of warm water breaking onto a smooth but coarse sanded beach. Too much for toddlers, great for teens upwards. Nearby are bars and restaurants ranging from cheap roadside (TT10 bottled beer!) to fine dining. Thank you Grafton Beach Hotel We're coming back!

Ok for family events . Not for single travellres . Too far from active environment . Food not good

Overall had a lovely time here. Would definitely return. Hoping that things pick up at hotel. Staff pleasant and very helpful. Surroundings very clean. Perhaps put a note on website saying that some services temporarily unavailable...for example, swim up pool. Need to continue to upgrade, continue to maintain even if business is slow.More plug ins needed in room. Internet was always available in rooms even though staff had warned otherwise. Suggest staff be consistently professional...shouting across rooms at one another...even if just regular conversation can be a bit off putting. I would recommend to others.

The hotel is perfectly located on what is probably the very best beach in Tobago. The rooms are plain, but clean. The food is average at best. The service is terrible, if you can focus your attention on the incredible beach right in front of the resort, and also understand that generally the service on the entire island is terrible, it becomes much easier to forgive. There are NO amenities nearby (no shops, really almost no restaurants, and no grocery) so some kind of transportation is necessary. Taxis are not too difficult and the bus is even an option, so long as you can get a grasp upon the fairly chaotic bus schedule and payment system. It's best to flag taxis out on the street (and share the ride) otherwise you will pay up to ten times the fare for a "private" ride. The pool is kept clean and the poolside chairs are comfortable - but the real attraction here is the AMAZING beach. The hotel offers "all inclusive" meal programs, which may be a good idea if you don't have transportation, since there isn't much else to choose from in the surrounding areas. Internet is free, but limited to the lobby. Overall it is an "average" facility (compared to other resorts around the world), however it's relative ranking is made better by its access to the best beach in Tobago, and the fact that it is as good as it gets for the area. I was not really dissatisfied, but neither was I very impressed. I would truly describe the place as "satisfactory".

the reception was very unfriendly....the other staff seems nice....Everything seems soo old here....the tiled floors appears dirty. the fixtures, plumbing, furniture looks worn and old...the hotel should be rated at 1/2 star...the only plus to this facility is its proximity to the beach.

It was the best vacation in a long time, there are all the amenities available on the compound. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Graphton has its own beach front so you have the beach to your self when ever u feel like taking a dip its there for your convenience and its not crowded. Transportation was difficult to get to the airport and to go site seeing around the country. Other than that the place is amazing and comfortable and enjoyable. Will be definitely going back.

Customer service was less than expected. The overall cleanliness of the room was satisfactory but sheets and towels were worn and dingy.

I enjoyed being at the hotel, the room was clean and well furnished, the gym was well-equipped, there was limited internet access, but the service was substandard. The front desk was responsive and reasonably accommodating but the dining service was non-existent. The benefits of location--proximity to the beach, comfortable rooms, and accessibility to local transportation outweighed the poor service, however, and I would recommend the hotel to travelers who are not too fussy.

1. We paid to have a hotel on the beach, and it was, however they locked the gates accessing the beach at 6pm. The only way to get to the beach after that was to make a 10 to 15 minute walk... the pool also closes at 6pm. -- 2. our balcony had a locked gate preventing us from walking out the back on to the grass which had a nice view of a chain link fence in front of the beach and ocean view -- 3. condition of the bath tub in my room which was stained and was clogged when showering. -- 4. the sheets on the bed were stained with what looked like rust making it look like they had "skid marks" all over them -- 5. The bartender was never to be found and we had to keep going to the kitchen or front desk to find someone to give us a drink. -- 6. Only good thing about the stay was when we first got there, they served us a complimentary cold fruit drink in what appeared to be shot glasses.. but they were cold and refreshing

Me and my 2 kids enjoyed our stay a lot. We knew we were going to a hotel in Caribbean and had read the customer reviews, so did not expect it to be super. We were a bit surprised though, it was a much more pleasant stay than we expected. I would go again.

My stay at Grafton was nice. Drive up to the hotel was calming and scenic. The reception was good with a complimentary drink (much appreciated). Room was clean with great view of the ocean... there was a beautiful beach right across the street with beach bar and art and craft shop. I got my birdfeeder there! Food at the hotel was basic and pricey, staff generally lacked passion.... housekeeping on point although they can do much better with the towels...they were very dingy looking and hard! Generally for the price it was a comfortable stay in a well manicured area - Black Rock.... there is a fort not too far from the hotel - Bennet Fort with great views of island and exotic birds! it was a delightful surprise!

This hotel was a decent place to stay since we traveled for such a short period of time. We went to Trinidad for carnival and just wanted to unwind for a day prior to returning home. They had a pretty good buffet and nice view to the beach, free wifi and pool with chairs around it. We just needed a place to rest our head after a day of sight seeing and it turned out to be a lot nicer than we expected. Pleasantly surprised overall, although the place can use some revamping in the bathrooms especially and in the cheesy flower decor. So if your going for the purpose of "just decent place to stay for a night or two "then this works. The beach has a high tide-- and didn't seem to have anything remotely near to it (chairs, food etc.) so I would not recommend it if your planning to be on the beach the whole time.

The hotel was very nice for the most part. I booked a garden view, and was upgraded to a prime ocean view room. This was great, but happened because of how empty the hotel was. Considering I was in Tobago at what i assume is the peak of tourism season (the second half of the week of Carnival), I was shocked how empty it was. The poolside bar was bartender less, and the beach was relatively empty most of the day (good for serenity, bad for sociability). As well the restaurant looked sub-par, and I'm glad I avoided the all inclusive option. However, there were few convenient food options. One exception was Tessa's which is further up the beach road towards Fort Bennett (good, cheap take away). Seahorse was pretty good, but underwhelming considering it is the most pricey option on Tobago. The room was fine, but smelled musty when we arrived. Staff were very accommodating. Location is quaint, but a taxi away from nightlife and most attractions. However, many dive shops offer free pick-up and drop-off if you're going scuba diving (use R & Sea Diving Company!!). Lastly, the most affordable taxi is Tessa's husband (from the namesake food stand)...only 50 TT to airport.

Hotel is in close proximity of a good beach. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant to me and went the "extra mile" to ensure that I got something to eat even though I arrived at the hotel long after the resturant was closed.The only sore point was the condition of the bath tub in my room which was stained and I believe has seen better days and should be changed.

Worse hotel I stayed at in years. Dirty towels, shower didn't work correctly, room smelled bad

The rooms only are good value for money. Staff are friendly and the hotel is clean and tidy. The hotel is a bit dated but that's typical of much of Tobago. It 's a good base if you have a car, particularly to eat out as the food looked quite expensive.

Hotel is a bit tired but friendly service, clean, well sized rooms. Great outlook over beach. Air conditioner was perfect during hot days. Only complaint was lack of towels. Replaced daily but had to wait for cleaning service to return prior to distribution.

Checking in is very slow. Please print and carry your reservation with you. This hotel could use a new chief. The food and selection is not the best. If you could eat just about anything, then you might enjoy Allinclusive at this hotel. The pool closes at 6pm everyday. The beach is not cleaned or rakes by staff and a good walk away. This hotel has the potential to do much better. The staff do try hard to accommodate

THIS HOTEL WAS GOOD BECAUSE i WAS LOOKING FOR AN ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL GREAT SERVICE WHEN WE GOT TO THE FRONT DESK AND VERY ACCOMMODATING HOTEL OLD BUT IN GOOD CONDITION. THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS HOTEL ; IT HAS ONE OF THE BEST CLEAN BEACH FRONT PROPERTIES IN TOBAGO (CALM WATER)

Family oriented hotel with a superb view on the beach just across the hotel. There are 2 swimming pools. The bathroom is a bit rustic and small but otherwise clean and well maintened.

If you're a couple or single adult looking for some quality and relax time together this is the hotel for you. It's the sister hotel of The Grafton Beach Resort which caters for families. I was able to also use all the facilities of the Grafton while being a client in the Grand Canyon.

This hotel was nice but we had a few valid complaints they should address that would cause us to never go back. We paid to have a hotel on the beach, and it was, however they locked the gates accessing the beach at 6pm. The only way to get to the beach after that was to make a 10 to 15 minute walk all the way around the hotel down to the next nearest street accessing the beach. At night on a dark winding road this was dangerous and honestly who wants to be locked off the beach when they are paying to stay at a hotel specifically for the beach access. They had a gate with a way to slide your room key to open and close but were not utilizing this. Then we decided to swim in the pool but they also closed the pool at 6pm. This was unacceptable and not what we paid for I have never stayed at a hotel on a tropical island where you can't visit the beach or swim in the pool. The television in the room was also not working and never was fixed even after making a request.

First time there. I had a wonderful time. The staff was wonderful and helpful. Everyone had nice attitude and pleasent. Very nice,clean and good location. I've seen some of the other resorts from the outside, be very careful. Some of these places I would not like to have stayed. Grafton is just what you need. The only bad thing I would have to say about them is that they aren't the best resort for handicap people. What I mean is that there is no elevators to take you up or down, the parking lot is in a slant. Other than that didn't find a problem. I do want to mention this, it dosen't have to do with the resort but I feel you should know. If you are taking a flight on carnival airlines, to or from Trinidad make sure you give in your name at the ticket booth 2 hours before your flight because they will give your seat to first come first served, Even if you are there 1/2 hour or an 1 hour till boarding. It happen to me .I was ther early but not early enough. Most likley they make you walk a little distance to board the plane and when you get inside the plane you can't feel the AC. It feels hot for 1/2 an hour.I recommend you take the fairy witch is cheaper but more comfortable.The only thing it is a longer ride. I think 3 hours compaired to 1/2 hour plane. At lease you could see some seenary. Hope thiis review helped you. Enjoy your trip.

We did not get to stay in Grafton because our room had two single beds instead of a queen size. They moved us to their sister hotel Le Grand Courland and Spa. The service was good and the room was comfortable. I didnt like the room at grafton as it looked old and worn. Its not what we were expecting. I think grafton is a bit overpriced.

We were greeted at the reception desk with fruit punch and warm smiles. Our room was spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. My request for a change of pillows was quickly and easily arranged. The spectacular view of the beach was a joy every morning while enjoying our coffee and very relaxing in the evening to watch the sunset. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the stay so much that we extended for 2 extra nights which was seen to very efficiently by the reception staff. The beach is literally a 2 minute walk (or less) just across the road, with a beach bar serving good food and drinks all day. We can't wait to go back!!!

Generally the service was very good except for the people serving in the dining room who would have benefitted from a smile.

I notice some complain about the beach. I don't know why as it is a wonderful long empty beach with big rollers coming in making it very dramatic. Great fun to swim in & it is shallow a long way out. The hotel was virtually empty but the room had a nice view and was cleaned nicely. Breakfast was good but dinner menu left a little to be desired but the Sea Horse restaurant is a short walk and is excellent

Personalen var oerhört besvärade.Nästan varje dag fattades handukar,tvål,glas m.m. på rummet.Mycket dåligt städat.Vi blev varken ut eller insläppta via en grind som ledde till havet och restauranger.Vi fick gå en lång väg på trafikerad gata för att nå dessa faciliteter efter kl.19.00.Det enda som var positivt var den nyanställde food and beverage managern,serviceminded och lyhörd.Jag rekommenderar inte detta hotell.

Detta hotell har helt klart haft sina glans dagar, sorgligt att få uppleva hur det går utför. Usel service och knappt några gäster. Dyr och dålig mat.
