Hotel staff are pricks. Rooms are disasterous. Only thing good is the location. There are plenty of other hotels in the area.DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER THINK ABOUT STAYING HERE. IT WILL RUIN YOUR VACATION. The BAD service and rooms are a letdown. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND IT. SO DISSAPOINTED.

This hotel was recommended to me by a co-worker who stayed here ten years ago and was extremely impressed with the service and the hotel. I absolutely adored the hotel. Our room was really nice and it was in a convenient location to everything around town and to the public transportation system. The staff was helpful and courteous and were extremely nice! The rate for the room was very reasonable. I will likely stay there again when in San Francisco.

We enjoyed location, service, staff. We did not like how fixtures were rusting, paint was peeling, and overall feel was old and not well maintained. The price was a bit high for what we would expect. We stayed at a Hampton following three nights here and could not believe the difference. Would not recommend other than for it's nice location.

This hotel was not worth it. The bed was terrible and the hot water was broken in the morning. No offer of anything for the trouble. Don't stay here, plenty of other hotels in this great location in San Fran. Don't let the Lobby fool you!!

This was our second stay at this property and we'll definitely be returning - Location is not far from anything - cable car at the corner, shopping restaurants and sightseeing all within a short walk. And the wine reception is awesome!

Stayed 3 days, got two rooms- Briefly, it was clean, service by hotel staff was great, hotel good value for location (we had minor snafu on valet-but appropiate). This hotel is right near the trolley for both areas of the wharf, and a short walk to the embarcadero - this is an excellent location for visiting frisco.

Good location relatively Bart connection, Moscone Convention Center, and San Francisco attractions. Friendly personnel. The daily wine reception is relaxing, it gives a friendly atmosphere and a possibility to chat with positive guests. This is our second stay at the hotel and we will probably return if we visit SF again and a favorable room rate is given. Part of the first week of the stay was noisy as the streets of central San Francisco are dug up this year and sheet covers give a large sound when a car passes every five seconds. The second week was quiet, particularly towards the inner yard.

Stayed one night here. Everyone seemed nice when I checked in and checked out, plus the room was larger than expected and had a great, wide window seat. There's even a wine happy hour in the afternoon and free coffee in the lobby in the morning. The only complaint was that the room had a strange smell to it. Also it was obvious that my room used to have one bed but then they put two beds in the room (the headboard was centered between the two beds rather than behind each bed and there was only one bedside table and lamp, and strange marks on the wall).

The hotel itself was old and quaint. The downside was the bathroom. It badly needs an update. The bathroom counter is really outdated but you can see they are trying to put some nice touches in the room. We were on the 2nd floor and had a street running right next to our room (this town is hilly). Customer service was pretty blah--nothing spectacular. Surprisingly it was pretty quiet. The room was small but in SF all hotel rooms are small and you wouldn't spend too much time in your room in this city. The price was really great and I can't say enough about the location. We were about 3 blocks from everything--Chinatown, Grace Cathedral the center of Union Square. They served wine in the evening but we never stopped--it looked very nice though.

It's a nice hotel but a bit noisy. There is a lot of noise outside from the streets and we could hear people above us walking around in their room. Parking is a bit of a hassle.

The staff was wonderful and the staff was great. We stayed all week and it was very convenient to downtown as well as the tourist areas. I would recommend staying here.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the parking was easier, and the location was close to everywhere we wanted to go. Amazing hotel, comfortable bed, great room, and I will definitely stay there again! Thank you :)

Ughhh! Never again will I stay at this hotel. The room was huge but OLD and creepy. It smelled of mold, the hotel TV was an old tube TV will all of 7 movie options and NO room service. When I got home and unpacked, even my clothes smelled of mold residue. Very creepy! I would not ever recommend this place and I certainly will never go back.

We've stayed at the Executive Hotel Vintage Court a few times and have never been disappointed. The rooms are not large, but they are comfortable and well designed. The staff is friendly and helpful, and you have to love the afternoon wine happy hour. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel within walking distance of Union Square and the Powell Street cable car you can't go wrong with this place.

From check in to check out was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Special thanks to Victor (a most caring Guest Services Manager), Ritchie (who made reception time fun), and Bader who was so courteous & helpful on checkout. Thanks again.

The staff was nice, but I cannot say anything else good about this place. The hallways smelled like cigarette smoke, the bathroom was tiny, and it was very noisy, both from the hall and the street. The bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable. On my second night, I was locked out. The person behind the desk said it was my fault because I put my key in my wallet. When I responded back that I never put my key in my wallet, she scolded me and told me that I should not put my key in my wallet. If you want to watch ABC or CBS or other channels, forget about it. ABC and other channels had no sound. On CBS, there are two sources of sound: one from the actors and another one describing what is on the screen, which is a service for the deaf. When I asked the front desk, they said that they could move me to another room (which I did not ask for), but the sounds (or lack thereof) are the same on all their TVs.

Was very close to my work off mission. Neighborhood wasnt too bad. I never felt unsafe. Ive actually stayed twice. Once on the 5th floor and once on the 7th. The 7th floor had a remodeled room, which a MUCH larger bathroom than the 5th (the shower in the older rooms are ridiculously small). But for the price, its perfect. WiFi was quick too, and free.

we got there late and the girl at the coutner was honestly not very helpful. BUT room was clean - hotel great and the day staff was wonderful! maybe she was having an off night?! we would absolutely stay here again!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, clean and comfortable, excellent location. I tried a few different rooms so as to avoid the loud traffic noise from the front of the hotel (rooms adjacent to the courtyard are much quieter). The hotel rooms do have a musty smell which require some air filtration, and the hotel could only provide me with down pillows, which i am mildly allergic to. The wine tasting is good time to socialize with other patrons.

We stayed 1 night and it has been awful. Under the beds, we found a receipt dating 2 weeks before, an empty bottle, dust...seems never cleaned under beds. When flushing toilets, brown water runing on the floor.... and the price is high

I was looking for a moderately priced Hotel near Union Square, I had stayed there years ago for business. The lobby is updated, my room was not. It served my purpose for the price. Staff was very nice and let me check in early which I really needed to do.

Nice. Good location but over priced! Becoming dated. Chipped paint, mark walls, old fittings. Still comfortable though.

What a welcome change after staying many years at crowded Chinatown Hilton for the Chinese NY Parade. This hotel was clean, personable, and centrally located. Most employee's were friendly and helpful, especially door men. The beds/sheets/pillows were of good quality. We stayed in back of hotel which was quiet. We also had opportunity to see 2 other rooms which were also nice. My two complaints would be that our room had no bathtub and no dresser to up pack... had to live out of suitcase. Our friends did have a tub and dresser in their rooms so request if desired. The lobby was cozy with nice fireplace. Would have been nice to have simple breakfast items in lobby for breakfast along with vending machines in hotel. Did have morning coffee and quality wine tasting in early evening. We also found this hotel to be kid friendly. Overall, we loved this hotel and would stay at Executive Vintage Court again. Do check out local cafe on corner of Bush and Powell for a great breakfast!

Botique hotel recently remodeled. Had read mixed reviews on this hotel, but I found it to be clean, superb staff very willing to help, and quiet room on the 8th floor. The location is great for union square shopping, close to starbucks for an early morning tea or coffee. Rates were competitive for area hotels. Each room is named after a napa valley wine, and decorated with that theme in mind. Coffee free in the morning and wine function around 5ish. The staff was helpful in finding directions and cheapest/fastest way for us to get to a 5K run we were participating in. Would stay at this hotel again.

This is not a hotel boutique like others. The maid didn't clean our room correctly. She dind'nt gave us shampoo, soap, lotion dialy. The used towls stayed in the bathrrom after she cleaned it.

Good location. Older hotel with poor plumbing but other than that, well worth it. Will definitely recommend to friends and stay there again when we return to beautiful San francisco!!!

Both me and my girlfriend liked staying here. I understand this is not for everyone. For e.g., if you need a parking spot, don't stay here. Parking anywhere downtown SF is very expensive, around $30/night. Good service. My girlfriend asked for an extra pillow and they brought it up in about 5min. Clean room, nothing super fancy. Wine tasting at 5pm was a nice touch. Awesome location, close to everything downtown. Hard to find a hotel in this price range in downtown.

"You get what you pay for" -- but it is cheap! It even charges for travel size toothpaste/toothbrush combo (given gree at any dental office) on the mimi-bar! Never again unless I'm totally desperate or broke!

The Executive Hotel was comfortable, in a good location for public transportation and the staff was very helpful. We enjoyed our 1 night stay.

Convenient to Union Square, Nob Hill, Chinatown. Room is basic. Older building like most SF boutique hotels. Great place if you are just looking for a clean place to sleep. We asked for and got a quiet room with no street noise.

The hotel and its staff were fine. The single queen room is small, but it's cozy. It will fit a couple fine. The hotel is situated very close to major modes of public transportations including the BART, and MUNI systems. You're 2 or 3 blocks away from the Grant Street - Chinatown (as opposed to the Inner Richmond, "new Chinatown"). My problem with the hotel is that at least for Room 816 and I assume all rooms in the same area of the hotel, every day or every other day, you will hear the garbage truck come at 5:00 in the morning. You'll here the banging, the shouting, the shuffling and crunching of garbage. It only lasts about 2 minutes, but that 2 minutes can be a long, long time.

The room was nice and parking was convient but you do have to pay 35-40 dollars. We only stayed one night and got back to the hotel late but the room suited us well. The only thing was our room was against the street so you could hear traffic, but not that big of a deal.

This is an older hotel but in very good shape. Room was clean and in good repair. Staff was excelent. Very helpful with directions and places to dine and site see. Close to street car service and downtown area with a shoet taxi ride. Will stay at this hotel the next time i am in San Francisco on businees or pleasure.

i decided to stay at this hotel because a the rate and the location,i booked 3 differents hotel before this one and cancel them. i happy than i did it. the room are comfortable even if they are not that big.the service is good and the reception is good. i stay there 3 night and will go back there when i will comeback to SF

We came up from l.a.after work on Friday night, therefore it was a late check in. I called at 6p to confirm a midnight check in. the woman on three other end seemed irritated that we would deign yup arrive overnight. Then at check in, the overnight employees were very unhelpful. With the parking situation, bored behaviors and unkempt employees, I was realizing I should have booked another hotel for my birthday weekend. At least the day staff was amazing and helpful and the cleaning staff was helpful and kind as well.

My Husband arrived late and wanted to get a good night sleep, when something bit him. A bed bug!!! He was moved immediately to a new room, right across from the elevator. Not a great experience.

Delighted overall with the hotel; excellent value. Very courteous and helpful staff. Richard (?) at the desk knows all about the blues and jazz scene in SF - big plus for me! Surrounding area a bit dicey, esp. west of Powell and the stairwell up from Stockton, but the block itself seems fine and is quiet. Great location between Union Square and Chinatown.
