Our stay was very enjoyable. The hotel is in a great location for visiting all the sights of wonderful Bologna. The hotel is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff are very pleasnt and extremely helpful.

Hotel is located right in the center of downtown and personnel is polite, but... My room was #426 and it's right next to elevator. I could hear any movement of elevator. I usually sleep well but even with my good sleep I was awakened several times during the night. Hotel either doesn't have to offer that room at all or at least offer it at large discount.

great room, great location, GREAT shower, great breakfast. we loved it!

Very pleasantly surprised by the quality and style of hotel. Double Room was clean and spacious , and being at the front overlooked the small square and market stall area. Dispute this there was no noise to disturb sleep. The decor was good, a sort of modem old look. The bathroom was a bit tired, but everything worked. The best but is the location. Only 10 min from station and same from the central area. Excellent. Breakfast was typical continental fare. Good food, clean, and friendly staff. Definitely recommend, esp for the price.

Some of their non-Italian staff seem to work awful many hours... I suppose it is a cultural thing? Nice staff, good location, and fair price.

I wonder whether booking through hotels.com means that I get a less comfortable room than normally ? The room I got first was really bad. Small. You could not sit on the toilet unless you had one leg inside the shower. The view was a building area. This room was so hot by the central heating that I got another room which was very nice and comfortable with view to the street of the hotel.

I stayed in Bologna for one night, and selected this hotel at the recommendation of a friend who lives in Bologna. My first room was small, and the musty bathroom smell permeated the room, but they were very agreeable to moving me down the hall. My second room was also small, but with a comfortable bed and bathroom. The hotel is just a 5-10 minute walk to the Piazza Maggiore, and the surrounding neighborhood is nice. There's also great restaurant around the corner called Donatello's. I traveled to Milan the following morning, and the central train station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, and easy to do with a rolling suitcase. Will definitely stay here in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was large very comfortable and had good air conditioning. the decor was really different and lovely. The guy on reception was very helpfull. The area is just off central Bologne with some nice restaurants and bars within walking distance. Also its very convenient to the train station.

A good hotel with nice and helpful staff near the city centre in Bologna. really good value for money, I would definately stay here again!

We arrived during a heatwave and our air conditioner didn't work (no cold air and lots of noise!). They tried to convince us that it worked fine before finally allowing us to change to a different room which was great. We were also stuck between floors in the elevator for about five minutes (all this during a 24 hour stay!). So-so breakfast and expensive wifi and computer in the lobby. The best thing about this place was the towels - huge and soft! Location was good too - convenient to bus, train, and old city but don't pay too much for this place!

When I read reviews on poor customer service, I usually disregard as I consider myself low maintenance and easy to get along with, but unfortunately the front desk staff at this hotel was extremely unaccommodating. We found ourselves looking for someone with a smile who would give us just a bit of information. When we checked in we were given our key and no other info like: where and when to have you breakfast, how to get to the room, etc. Fortunately, we found a couple of friendly ones. Thank you to Tomas, Adrienne and Mierco . Other than that and very hard pillows, no complaints great hotel great location.

Terrific staff and wonderful breakfast. Rooms are comfortable with a great shower. The main street can be a bit noisy overnight.

This is a centrally located hotel very clean and has very qualified personal I will stay again.

We spent two nights here in March 2011, and enjoyed our stay very much. The room is well-equipped with all comfort items, and the window is large. We kept the window closed much of the time because of the temperatures, and noticed what a great job the hotel has done in soundproofing the rooms! Street noise is inaudible, literally. We walked everywhere in Bologna, fueled by the ample breakfast served buffet-style in the morning. We found Tratoreria Tony about a half-block south and had a great dinner there. The hotel's location is on the main street, and we had no problem walking from the train station with our rolling bags; about ten minutes from train to front door of hotel. It is about 5-7 minutes of easy, portico-covered walking to get to the main plaza. This is a four-star hotel at a 3-star price, and we were very pleased with our choice.

Overall we were pleased with the hotel. It is very centrally located and within easy walking distance of all points of interest, restaurants, shopping, transport etc. Breakfast was adequate. We couldnt use our iPhone for internet service without going through the hotel pay system - we havent experienced this before & we are seasoned travellers. We would expect free wifi access from a 4* hotel.

Zanhotel Tre Vecchi was a great hotel. Wonderful service, great breakfast, and comfortable room.

Much improved since its recent refurbishment. Being a regular visitor I find some of the rooms are still slightly smokey from before the policy change. On complaining about this I was instantly moved to our much better room. Excellent location for exploring Bologna. Undeground car park nearby is extremely covenient, especially for foreigners.

A very comfortable hotel in a very convenient location. Extra pillow was supplied when requested. The room was rather too hot to sleep comfortably and impossible to open the window because of the noise outside. The staff were efficient but should be prepared to speak Italian if the guest wishes and is able to do so!

Bologna's sights are all within walking distance from the hotel, which sits halfway between the train station and the pedestrianized zone.

Walkable from the train station, walkable to all sights, near lots of shops. Very comfortable hotel.

I chose this hotel because of its location, between the train station and the Piazza Maggiore; right in the main shopping district. I saw some of the reviews here about the furniture being a bit worn, but when I arrived, the hotel was undergoing a major renovation. My room and its furnishings looked brand new. I paid for a double room, but got a triple, with a beautiful view. The breakfast was great, the location perfect. The only minor problem that I had was that on the last morning of my stay, I couldn't get the hot water to work. In all fairness to the hotel, I didn't report it to the front desk, because I was leaving that morning anyway, taking a train to Venice. I decided that by the time someone got there to fix it, it would be time for us to leave; better to just shower at the next hotel. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

posizione eccellente, l'unico neo avevo scelto camera non fumatori, invece mi hanno dato una camera fumatori un buona posizione ma con i disagi che ne nascono. Malgrado tutto rimane una ottima scelta

Fräck,modern inredning .Rummet var väldigt fräscht. Eftersom rummet låg mot gatan, hördes det en del ljud på nätterna ,trots välisolerade fönster. Frukost ok matsalen lite slamrig eftersom stolarna skrapade mot golvet. Välbsesökt hotell med många gäster.Läget ypperligt m många trevliga restuaranger och affärer i närheten.Prisvärt!

ottimo soggiorno...arredamento molto curato rende piacevole anche camere sul retro..unico neo qualche problema nella gestione delle colazioni dato che il personale (un'unica cameriera disperata) non riusciva a sparecchiare...procurare tazze pulite ecc.....momento di stress per tutti non all'altezza del resto dell'hotel

Vi kan rekommendera detta hotell som var trevligt och låg mycket centralt. Nära till sevärdheter och centralstation. Det var ett extra plus att kunna sitta ute vid hotellet(+29 i början av oktober).

Topp beliggenhet, kort gåavstand til Piazza Maggiore og alle sverdigheter. Rommene ganske små for et 4 stjerners hotell.

Ótimo hotel, ótima localilzação, a 5 minutos a pe da praça Maggiori no centro histórico. Staff gentil e atencioso. Ótimo breakfast. Recomendamos em todos os sentidos.

Bra Hotell med mycket bra löäge mitt i staden. Frukusten som alla Italienska frukostar utan äggröra och bacon men helt okey!

For the price, this hotel met all possible expectations. It is not a luxury hotel with everything, but it was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good (considering it is in Italy) and it was very well located to get around. Would definitely recommend this Hotel

Skulle begärt rum intill gården.Lite mycket ljud från trafiken på gatan.

Liegt sehr zentral, daher etwas lärmig, ca. 7 Minuten Fussweg zur Piazza Maggiore. Gute Lösung für's Auto, man kann es im nahen Parkhaus für 15 € pro Tag stehen lassen. Die Herren an der Rezeption könnten etwas persönlicher sein. Unser Zimmer war in Ordnung und sauber. Zu bemängeln waren Zustand von Dusche und WC. Z. B. war die Gummilippe unten an der Duschtür total verkalkt und kaputt, die WC-Spülung defekt, man versicherte uns, am anderen Morgen gleich einen Monteur zu schicken, was natürlich nicht passierte. Na ja, irgendwie funktionierte die Spülung ja. Der Platz zwischen WC und Waschbecken war sehr eng. Frühstück für italienische Verhältnisse reichhaltig, aber zuviel Süsses im Angebot. Schön der Platz draussen vor dem Hotel, wo man unter hohen Bäumen bei schönem Wetter in bequemen Sesseln etwas trinken kann.

Dejligt og lækkert hotel. Beliggenheden kunne ikke være bedre. Værelser store og rummelige. Dejligt badeværelse med rummelig bruserum. Morgenmaden er god efter italienske forhold. Dårlig internet adgang. Burde være fri internet.
