The hotel was generally fine, with just a couple of negative comments. The heating/cooling unit in the room was set at 68 degrees (a perfect temperature for sleeping comfortably). But, at that temperature the unit runs continually. I set the fan to LOW, but even then it was EXTREMELY NOISY. Hard to sleep with that continuous noise! Also, the fan in the bathroom looked and sounded like a cheap K-Tel fan or something. Definitely not of commercial grade that you should see in a hotel. The fan louvers were dirty and in need of cleaning, but it also squealed continuously while the fan was running. The breakfast and everything else was good.

ok hotel if you passing by, be aware of toll bridge close by. Friendly stuff.

This motel is a gem in an area of the higher priced spread. We found the staff for the most part was extremely friendly and wanting to please, even making waffles at the self serve breakfast. The motel was clean and had a good smell except in a stairwell where some smoker decided to fumigate the area. The staff addressed this issue however. The facility is somewhat dated,but you would not know it on the surface as both the room and common areas were well maintained and nicely furnished. The continental breakfast consisted of cereals, muffins, waffles, fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and other typical breakfast fare. The eating area is a little cramp but not overly. We stayed here two nights for what one would have cost at the Hyatt where the conference we attended was held. There is a park and ride within about 200 yards of the hotel with buses to downtown Bellevue (2 miles away) and Seattle. Very convenient. The only thing lacking might be the shortage of restaurant offerings with a Burgermaster (good old time burgers!) and a seafood restaurant adjacent. We recommend this motel.

The GOOD: The housekeepers and the front desk staff were friendly, and the place seemed pretty clean. This was a great location to where I needed to be, so that was good. Pretty good continental breakfast in the morning. There were okay restaurants within walking distance and it felt pretty safe. The BAD: The fan in the bathroom made a VERY LOUD noise, like a whirring noise or something? It was horrible. The room was VERY humid for some reason. The hallway was like a refrigerator. Aside from those things though, I would still stay there again.

The wifi didn't work when I checked in the room. When I told the front desk, the front desk want to the call their service provider.. Luck, I have some computer knowledge, otherwise I didn't what tech talk about. And the time that stay, there was major road work other the hotel..

Very good for the money. good free breakfast and friendly desk. Free internet and parking. Quiet and safe.

love love love loved it we will be staying there again next year and every year after that the people who work at the hotel are friendly and nice the hotel is amazing especially the breakfast if you don't stay at this hotel while your in the area then you are crazy. I love that it is just minutes from the mall and easy access to Seattle can't wait till next year and the whole pet friendly thing is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the hotel was good especially for the price. The room was clean, the gym was excellent, and the breakfast was good. The gentleman working the front desk was also very helpful and friendly.

Just outside the city, for a fraction of the cost. Only drawback is the toll it costs to cross from Seattle to Kenton. It was still way cheaper then staying in any Seattle hotel.

The interstate exit is shut down from Feb. 2 2013 for what looks like a good while as they're rebuilding the whole thing so the hotel is inaccessible. You can take 8 st. exit off I-405 instead and head west thru downtown kirkland and then head north on bellevue ave. up to hotel but you have to go thru back way access to hotel property. They should inform visitors of this problem but they don't. Employees we encountered are very low quality staff, rude, lazy, ignorant of basic city facts if you ask, except for one guy who was night clerk. hotel is nice though as far as amenities and condition, it's typical la quinta.

Friendly staff. Rooms are quite clean except window frames are moldy and carpet needs to be deep cleaned as it can stain your feet and socks after walking on it for a few hours.

This last stay was very nice and comfortable. We had a great time and are excited to return again very soon! Very nice front desk Staff!

Room needed to have the corners and furniture cleaned. Bed was fine, service was good, breakfast was average.

Couple of Cons: Thermostat wouldn't go lower than 65, the desk chair & other chair in the room were quite uncomfortable, the bed was "well used" and the desk/table surfaces hadn't been properly cleaned. Wiped, yes, cleaned, no. On all the cabinet doors & bathroom/closet doors was a thick layer of dust. The "Fan" in the bathroom basically recirculated the hot steamy air, not evacuate it. There was a filter in the fan assembly that hasn't been looked at in some years. My room was right outside the ice machine... i began to despise the 2am Ice Runs that some guests were conducting. there's not a lot of restaurant options in the near vacinity and those that are there are PRICEY. PROS: great water pressure & temp, decent TV & service, great location to my training center. Good price. Staff were very friendly and accomodating.

This is our second time staying here. Both times have been for sports events. The room was clean and not stinky. No street noise and a friendly staff who was kind enough to bring us more blankets and towels. Beds were comfy even when sharing a queen size with another adult. Overall would stay there again on our next trip to Seattle. THANKS!

Our stay was very nice, and the room (as always) was quite comfortable. We love the beds there because they truly enable a good night's sleep. We were in town to attend two shows (an evening show and then a matinee of something else the next day). It's a great place to stay, and the breakfast next morning started our day off right.

My fiance and I enjoy staying here due to it being right in the middle of both Bellevue and Kirkland. It's nice and convenient, and one of the front desk girls is always so sweet and remembers my name before I even check in.

We were travelling for a short family trip, so we only stayed overnight at this hotel. I requested the top floor because I didn't want to risk hearing people up walking around above me all night, and keeping me up. Apparently, on the top floor is a smoking room section, so we had to walk through stale smoke to get to our non-smoking room. Luckily, our room didn't smell, nor did any smoke come through the venilation. We told the lady at the front desk about the smell, and while we were at dinner, she sprayed air freshener in the hallways. It took care of the smell a bit, but we didn't smell any smoke the next day. Also, in the bathroom, there was hair in the corners, and I'm picky about that. Overall, it was reasonably priced and comfortable. I'd stay there again.

Decent location not too far from Bellevue, but very close to the freeway making it extremely noisy (windows are old and not very efficient). Good breakfast which is included in the rate

The customer service was excellent, location and condition of hotel/room was as advertised except for two concerns. The first is as titled. There was a moldy smell coming from the shower curtain. I'm assuming this doesn't get cleaned on a regular basis. The second concern was the bed was sagging on the left side. It's not an absolute that I would seek to stay here again if I'm back in the area however I wouldn't say never again as well.

Room was nice but it was very noisy outside and the sounds came through into the room. My wife could not sleep.

Staff was over the top friendly and available

despite construction all around, we enjoyed a great nights rest

The hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast each morning was excellent. A variety of eating oplaces are close by.

Very nice business hotel. Not that much in the neighborhood (restaurants), but one very good one (big fish). A hotel bar would be nice as well as a little bit bigger gym. Very friendly staff.

Everything about our stay was good except the BED in room 126. The mattress was broken in the left middle area. I spent the nights trying to keep from sliding towards the center. I spend 80 - 100 nights per year in hotels. This was the worst mattress I have slept on in the past 30+ years.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. My only negative comment is that I thought I would have a refrigerator in my room.

it was a treible experince of noise of construction at nigthtime that we could not sleep at nigth and we lost from way back of downtown even with GPS but we loved the breakfast and environment.

stay was fine, breakfast at 6:45 had no milk out for cereal, and couldn't figure out how to fill cup with Waffle mix. Didn't have the address and called 4ll information two times for La Quinta in Kirkland and both times they said there was no listing in Bellvue, or kirkland.. It is a decent place, but a bit overpriced i think.

Nice hotel, generally clean but non-smoking room smelled of old smoke and elevator floor was very dirty ( edges hadn't been cleaned for ages). Enjoyed the breakfast and room was quite comfortable.

For the age of the property (not old), they are NOT keeping up on their maitenance!

The hotel front desk staff was great! Our bed was a little small. It seemed more like a double than a queen. Breakfast was very good. It was nice to be able to take our little dog and not have to pay a nightly fee. Pool was 85 degrees and considering the cool weather it felt pretty good.

Overall I was satisfied. Our first room bad hair on the bathroom floor. We mentioned it and received a different room. The service was very good. The elevator was out but they fixed it right away. Some carpet in the lobby looked a little worn. The beds are extreamly comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast. Location next to the freeway, very convenient.It had a pool and gym. I would stay again.

I have stayed for 5 days. Breakfast was very poor for a La Quinta Hotel. Just pastries, cereal and waffles. The coffee tasted so bad that I decided not to drink. They had apples and oranges. Some days they had also bananas. The rooms have single pane glass windows, what lets a lot of noise in from the nearby highway. Traffic starts to become noisy by 4:30 am. Ask for a room on the opposite side of the highway. Or have earplugs, like I did. Bathroom, towels and bedsheets look new and clean, wifi works well from the room but not from the lobby. Staff is nice, cable TV in the room without extra charge, nice choice of restaurants nearby from breakfast to dinner. I recommend "The Keg" as a restaurant and Poppingjay for a quick lunch, both about 5 minutes walk from the hotel premises. A gas station nearby has a convenience store. Bus stop across from parking lot. Seattle Computer Classrooms are a 5 minute walk from La Quinta. Residential neighborhood. Parking in the hotel is free of charge and there is plenty of parking spots.

Our only complaint in a week-long stay was the bad attitude of the front desk worker when, on Saturday morning, she was told that there was no coffee in the breakfast area. That was the exact opposite of the person who was there the other days. She was helpful, smiling, and friendly.

We love the location, but if we reserve a non-smoking room, pay in advance, and show up on time for check-in, we should always get a non-smoking room not get the last room available. Luckily the only room that was offerd to us had been thoroughly cleaned and did not smell like cigarettes even though it was on the smoking floor.
